They get people out of the hospital as soon as they can after surgery.Every invasive procedure..even a catheter is an opening for infection. Joe was there two days after hip replacement. It's harder for the caregiver at home, but well worth it as far as infection goes. Sometime soon,I'll tell about preventative measures his Dr took with him before he even went in the hosp. doors.
I hope you have a Happy New Year...and please tell Bob that I wish him the same. I feel like I know him.
Hugs, Balisha Balishahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17298193443371503407noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4619357168767443447.post-18902543507758540872013-12-31T15:20:16.098-06:002013-12-31T15:20:16.098-06:00Good for you! I made it clear to my doctor early ...Good for you! I made it clear to my doctor early on that I was not going to come in on a regular basis just so he could "check" me. I said I would be happy to go to the lab as often as he deemed necessary, but that I would expect to be called with the results as long as there was no change. If he changes a medication, I would be happy to come in every month or two, until it is clear that the meds are working. At that point, he'll see me every six months, unless I think I need to see him. He has never complained, although he tries, every now and then, to get me to come back every three months. I just go ahead and make the appointment for six months hence. It's a game we play, now. He knows I'll come-a-runnin' if I get worried. So far, so good.Bettyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07309266986583326824noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4619357168767443447.post-49778490871818627852013-12-31T11:13:52.111-06:002013-12-31T11:13:52.111-06:00ha ha BOB is pretty funny.
