I made my bed, dressed and got myself ready for the day. When I opened the front door, Grey was there waiting for his breakfast. So I fixed it and took it out to him.

As he ate, I watched "the weather on the 8's" and here it is.

Today is to be 48 degrees and sunny, Tuesday is to be 76 degrees and sunny, Wednesday is to be 70 degrees and mostly sunny, Thursday is to be 65 degrees and mostly cloudy, Friday is to be 70 degrees and partly cloudy, Saturday is to be 66 degrees and AM showers, and Sunday is to be 73 degrees and scattered thunderstorms. So two days of rain...Saturday and Sunday. We can use the moisture!

I went out to Eggbert's and had a hamburger and french fries for lunch. It was pretty good but there was an awful lot of it. I brought some of it home in a box. I may heat it up and eat it later.

More Later...

Margie's Musingshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11206751037182686016noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4619357168767443447.post-85420320605042669102024-03-17T04:34:00.006-05:002024-03-17T19:39:56.629-05:00Sunday and Dinner at Church
I slept well last night and was up at 3:45AM. I opened the front door but no cats were there yet. I did catch "the weather on the 8's"though. Today is to be 58 degrees and partly cloudy, Monday is to be 51 degrees and sunny, Tuesday is to be 77 degrees and sunny, Wednesday is to be 73 degrees and PM showers, Thursday is to be 66 degrees and showers, Friday is to be 66 degrees partly cloudy, Saturday is to be 67 degrees and AM showers. Only two days of showers and that's Wednesday and Thursday.

I will check on the cats again. It's 4 :31AM now.

It's 5:51AM now and I am waiting for the sun to come up to start for church. And I have set the two pies out to thaw.

Blondie finally came for his breakfast. He came back twice to eat and then Grey came to eat when Blondie was finished..

And I have had my Chai Latte and a breakfast bar.

More Later...

We had a good service at church and a good dinner afterward. I gave away the leftover pie to anyone who wanted some. There was half the cherry pie. All the pecan pie was gone.

More Later...

Blondie came back for some supper this afternoon. I gave him some more food...especially the wet type. They all really would rather have the wet type food instead of the dry food. But they will eat whatever I take out to them.

I took my bath at 7:15PM and put my pajamas on and will read this evening until time to go to bed about 9:00PM.

Margie's Musingshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11206751037182686016noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4619357168767443447.post-78567591472510819812024-03-16T06:29:00.005-05:002024-03-16T18:38:32.830-05:00Saturday and Laundry
I was up early as usual about 5:00AM and have had both cups of Chai Latte and my breakfast bar.

Both Grey and Blondie have been here for their breakfasts and are gone now. I am still waiting for Whitey to come for it's breakfast.

I did catch "the weather on the 8's". Here it is..

Today is to be 70 degrees and partly cloudy. Sunday is to be 60 degrees and partly cloudy, Monday is to be 53 degrees and sunny, Tuesday is to be74 degrees and sunny, Wednesday is to be 71 degrees and partly cloudy, Thursday is to be 67 degrees and showers, and Friday is to be 70 degrees and mostly cloudy. That's the week! One day of showers and that's Thursday!

Now I'm waiting for the laundry to dry!

The laundry dried and I put it away. I have been reading my second book this morning. I read the first one yesterday. It is 9:56AM now. I am planning to have lunch at Gabbies today. I don't know what she is serving today but I will find out later.

More Even Later...

I read all afternoon and finally at 2:00PM I went up to Gabbies for lunch. As usual, it was good.

After that I came back home and finished reading that second book and then to it to the library drop box and dropped it in. Monday I will have to get a couple of more books checked out. Right now the library is closed.

Margie's Musingshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11206751037182686016noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4619357168767443447.post-15135422732004611552024-03-15T06:29:00.010-05:002024-03-15T16:16:43.641-05:00Friday and Feeding Cats
I slept well last night and was up at 5:00AM. I made my bed and got dressed and got myself ready for the day. I opened the front door to find Blondie there waiting for his breakfast. After he ate and left, Whitey came and ate too.

I even caught "the weather on the 8's".

Today is to be 65 degrees and cloudy and PM sun, Saturday is to be 69 degrees and partly cloudy, Sunday is to be 61 degrees and partly cloudy, Monday is to be 53 degrees and sunny, Tuesday is to be 75 degrees and sunny, Wednesday is to be 72 degrees and partly cloudy, and Thursday is to be 70 degrees and thunderstorms. That's the week! One day of rain!

Now I will check on the cats again.

Blondie and Grey came back again to eat. They finished and left again.

Finally, Grey came for it's breakfast and is still eating. That's three of the four.

Next Tuesday is primary election day.

I read until 10:47AM.

Then I stopped and rested.

I went over to Tyro to Jay's and bought two pies for dessert for Sunday's dinner at church.

Then I came back home and put them in the freezer and read until 4:00PM. Then I took the book I had been reading to the library drop box and dropped it in.

So More Even Later...
Margie's Musingshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11206751037182686016noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4619357168767443447.post-87195727227361337262024-03-14T05:30:00.002-05:002024-03-14T16:15:11.275-05:00Thursday and Rain
I was up at 4:30AM after a good night's sleep. I dressed, made my bed and got myself ready for the day. I even caught "the weather on the 8's".

First I opened the front door to see if any cats were out there. It was barely raining so they were not out there. Maybe a little later...

Here's the weather forecast for the week though.

Today is to be 76 degrees and cloudy and AM showers, Friday is to be 63 degrees and clouds and PM sun, Saturday is to be 70 degrees and partly cloudy, Sunday is to be 61 degrees and partly cloudy, Monday is to be 53 degrees and sunny, Tuesday is to be 74 degrees and sunny, and Wednesday is to be 69 degrees and partly cloudy. That's the week. Very little moisture!

More Later...

I called Sally before noon and asked her if she wanted to go to Copan for lunch. She did. I picked her up at noon and we drove down there and had a nice lunch. Some vegetable beef soup and we split a piece of German Chocolate pie. Then I took her home. Blondie and the small white cat (I call Whitey) both came for some lunch. They ate and left and I took the bowls in the house.

After that I stopped by the library and checked out two more books to read and have been reading the rest of the afternoon. It's 4:10PM now. I plan to go to the Betterment group meeting at 6:30PM. It's been awhile since I have attended one.

More Even Later..

Margie's Musingshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11206751037182686016noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4619357168767443447.post-21247128145182452742024-03-13T06:00:00.005-05:002024-03-13T20:35:28.675-05:00Wednesday and Hair Appointment in Coffeyville
I slept well last night and was up at 5:00AM as usual. I am watching TV for "the weather on the 8's". I have had my breakfast bar and am drinking my second cup of Chai Latte.

Here is "the weather on the 8's"

Today is to be 76 degrees and partly cloudy and windy, tomorrow is to be 61 degrees and PM thunderstorms, Friday is to be 61 degrees and mostly cloudy, Saturday is to be 68 degrees and partly cloudy, Sunday is to be 60 degrees and partly cloudy, Monday is to be 56 degrees and sunny, and Tuesday is to be 72 degrees and sunny. One day of rain and that is tomorrow.

When I opened the front door I saw Blondie was in the box with the rug in it, ...trying to get warm, I imagine. Poor guy. So far no more cats. I fed him and he ate hungrily.

More Later...

The little white cat came for it's breakfast too and so did grey. I got all three fed..

At about 8:30AM, I left for Coffeyville and my hair appointment. I took my water bottles out to WalMart and bought the wet cat food there and flavored water too.

Then I went out to the Dearing cut off and took that road up to Independence to the Dairy Queen where I bought the $7.00 chicken and french fries special along with a sundae and a Coke. Then I came on back home after buying gas at Miller Brothers in Independence.

I read quite awhile this afternoon and did some cleaning up in the back yard flowerbed. I also tried to clean a little in the area behind the hedge in the front.

Then I went back to my second library book until time for my bath.

I took my bath at 7:30PM. I will read until 9:00PM or so.

Margie's Musingshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11206751037182686016noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4619357168767443447.post-12276955023741199842024-03-12T07:36:00.007-05:002024-03-12T18:26:27.904-05:00It's Tuesday and I slept very well
I slept until 6:15AM this morning That's very unusual. Then I made my bed and dressed and got myself ready for the day. I opened the front door to find the White cat waiting for it's breakfast so I fixed it and set it out there. Soon Grey came too so I fixed another dish. Then Blondie came and luckily whitey had finished and left some food in it's dish so everyone had something to eat. I need to get some more wet cat food. I hope the truck came yesterday. They have been out for a week.

I caught "the weather on the eights" and I will post it here.

Today is to be 77 degrees and partly cloudy and windy. Wednesday is to be 78 degrees and partly cloudy and windy, Thursday is to be 76 degrees and thunderstorms, Friday is to be 60 degrees and partly cloudy, Saturday is to be 65 degrees and mostly cloudy, Sunday is to be 58 degrees and partly cloudy and Monday is to be 53 degrees and sunny.

That's the week! One day of rain and that is to be Thursday. That's better then nothing!

More Later...

I called Sally later in the morning and asked her if she wanted to go to Copan for lunch. She did, I picked her up at noon or close to it and we drove to Copan for lunch We had their vegetable beef soup and split a piece of German Chocolate pie. Then I took her home and came home myself.

More Perhaps Later

Margie's Musingshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11206751037182686016noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4619357168767443447.post-5136742374322295842024-03-11T06:54:00.006-05:002024-03-11T09:31:07.452-05:00Monday and A Call From Bo
I slept well last night after taking that small pill. I was up at 5:00AM as usual and dressed, made my bed and got myself ready for the day.

When I finally opened the front door that little white cat was in the box with the rug in it to try to be warm. I took it's breakfast out to it and it ate it's fill and left. Later I saw Blondie waiting for his breakfast too so I took the other bowl out to him. He is eating hungrily now.

Bo will be calling my this morning to see how I am getting along with the new remote for my TV. I have a few problems but I will work them out over time.

I did catch "the weather on the 8's" this morning. Here is the week's forecast.

Monday will be 51 degrees and showers Tuesday will be 55 degrees and showers, Wednesday is to be 53 degrees and rain, Thursday is to be 51 degrees and showers, Friday is to be 50 degrees and thunderstorms, Saturday is to be 47 degrees and rain. So a week of rain! That should help fill the Caney River. At least it will help.

More Later It's 6:56AM right now.

Bo, from Cox, called me this morning to see if I was comfortable with the new remote. He is satisfied I am. If I have a problem I can't figure out I am to get a hold of cox,com/smarthelp366 on my phone to get back on track quickly.

Margie's Musingshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11206751037182686016noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4619357168767443447.post-64662879528636830882024-03-10T03:42:00.003-05:002024-03-10T06:17:26.747-05:00Sunday and Breakfast at Church
I went to Independence late yesterday afternoon to go to their Walmart and get my watch turned to Daylight Savings Time today. I thought the woman in the jewelry department got that done and it would turn over to "spring forward" at midnight last night. But it didn't. It still says Saturday on the watch and still 3/9 on the date. It should say 3/10. The woman that reset my watch last year was not working yesterday and another woman tried to get it done..but that didn't happen. I will have to go back up there after church and see if the other woman is working today. What a mess!

More Later..

I am having my breakfast now. I didn't sleep as well last night as usual. My desktop computer was frozen when I finally got in the den to check it. It took three shut downs to get it back up.

And I couldn't get into my checking account either this morning. Who knows what is going on.

I was able to turn on the TV and check "the weather on the 8's".

Here is what I found. Today is to be 65 degrees and sunny, Monday is to be 70 degrees and sunny, Tuesday is to be 77 degrees and partly cloudy and windy, Wednesday is to be 78 degrees and partly cloudy, Thursday is to be 74 degrees and partly cloudy, Friday is to be 65 degrees and partly cloudy, and Saturday is to be 63 degrees and partly cloudy. That's the eek. No rain in the next week's forecast...just lots of partly cloudy.

More Later...I's better start the coffeecake.

Margie's Musingshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11206751037182686016noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4619357168767443447.post-68275237865830281262024-03-09T05:30:00.010-06:002024-03-09T11:15:07.655-06:00Saturday and Laundry
I slept well last night and was up after 4:30AM, stripped my bed and am washing my towels and pajamas too. It has been awhile since I did sheets and it is time.

I opened the front door to find Grey looking for breakfast. I took it out there.

I am trying to learn my new TV card. It is pretty difficult. But I did find the English instructions on the back of the card with the Spanish instructions.

I found "the weather on the 8's" and will copy the photo I took when it was on.

Today is Saturday and it is supposed to be 55 degrees and partly cloudy , tomorrow is to be 64 degrees and sunny, Monday is to be 69 degrees and sunny, Tuesday is to be 73 degrees and partly cloudy, Wednesday is to be 76 degrees and partly cloudy, Thursday is to be 69 degrees and scattered thunderstorms, Friday is to be 62 degrees and partly cloudy. One day of rain this next week and that is Thursday.

More Later...

I got the laundry done, the bed changed and the rest put away. I called Sally to see if she wanted to go to Independence to the Dairy Queen. But she wanted to go to Gabbies for lunch so I changed my plan.We will meet at 12:30PM. at Gabbies.

I finished my Coffeyville book and will take it to the library tomorrow and put it in their drop box. Then I went to Caney's library and checked out two more books.

It will take me most of the week to finish those.

The white cat came for it's breakfast too. So I fed it too. They are all gone now.

Margie's Musingshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11206751037182686016noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4619357168767443447.post-27710201026783168382024-03-08T06:32:00.010-06:002024-03-08T07:37:38.748-06:00Friday and A New Remote
I slept well again last night and was up at 5:30AM, made my bed, dressed and got myself ready for the day. I am trying to learn the new TV remote and card Bo installed yesterday. I got "the weather on the 8's" with it.You simply press a button and speak into the remote and it takes you to whatever channel you want. You press O.K. after you speak into the remote. If you are not sure of the channel you need, you can just tell the remote what program you want. And with this remote you can even record any program you want. You can do that week by week or have the TV save entire weeks of the program you don't want to miss. If I can just get it learned, it will be great and also convenient.

Once I get it learned, it will offer me all kinds of options.

When I opened the door this morning, Blondie was waiting for his breakfast. When I got his and went back to the door, Grey was out there too. So I fixed another bowl and took it out to Grey. By then Blondie had finished eating and left.

We had quite a storm last evening. We were under tornado warnings here at Caney and the sirens were blasting. We had hail and lots of wind. There was a tornado just west of Caney.

I haven't heard whether it ever touched the ground. I was in my clothes closet. The only area in my apartment that has no windows.

There was a similar situation over at Coffeyville...twelve miles east of here.

I did catch "the weather on the 8's".

Here it is:

Today is to be 54 degrees and showers, tomorrow is to be 56 degrees and partly cloudy, Sunday is to be 64 degrees and sunny, Monday is to be 67 degrees and sunny, Tuesday is to be 73 degrees and partly cloudy, Wednesday is to be 78 degrees and partly cloudy. Thursday is to be 70 degrees and scattered thunderstorms. So a couple of days of rain should help with our terrible drought. Today and next Thursday,

More Later..

Margie's Musingshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11206751037182686016noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4619357168767443447.post-74199081667550896052024-03-07T04:13:00.008-06:002024-03-07T19:47:37.376-06:00Thursday and A TV Repair Today
My television has been down since Tuesday. It has to do with my Tivo. This happened once before a couple of years ago and Cox sent a man out to fix it. It was the Tivo then too, He was not familiar with the way to fix it but he called someone who was and that person walked him through it.and he got it fixed just fine.

I hope this technician will be able to fix it and I will still be able to use the Tivo. I use it every day recording something..sometimes more then one program.

More Later...He is to be here between 10:0AM and noon.

When I opened the front door, Grey and Blondie were both out there looking for their breakfasts. I took each of theirs out there, Blondie had evidently been in a fight with a dog. He had some huge chunks taken out of his fur. When I set their breakfast out there, he started howling pitifully. I put their bowls separate a foot to a foot and a half away from each of them. He settled down then and ate, Grey was frightened of him because of his pitiful howls. He certainly looked pitiful.

When I went back in the living room, both Grey and Blondie were gone but soon the white cat came to eat on what was left in the bowls.

Bo, from Cox Complete Care, came this morning and installed a new card in my TV that eliminates the Tivo altogether. It is very simple and is very affordable. He stayed an hour and got everything set up and showed me how to use the TV and record without a Tivo. It would not be any more expensive and will available in one remote. I can record anything I want to watch and I have dozens of new channels to watch. It will cost $120. a month but will eliminate Amazon Prime. I can get anything I want to watch with their new card.

I called Sally to see if she had had lunch yet and she had not. I asked her if she wanted to go to Copan Restaurant for lunch and she thought that sounded good! So I will go pick her up now. It is 1:51 PM so we are late but Cox had been here all morning

More Even Later...

1. I will need to make some questions to ask Bo when he calls me Monday. For one thing I need to know how to get the red light turned off on the TV when you turn the TV off. I can get the lower red light off my using my former remote but that doesn't do anything for the red one under the TV picture.

2. I need to know what button to push to get the picture to come up. I think it's the channel button but after all the excitement this evening, I am not sure. I will ask him.

I spent 45 minutes in my clothes closet while we had the tornado warning. It was the only area in the house without a window.

It's 7:45PM and raining and I am going to take my bath now.

More Tomorrow..

Margie's Musingshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11206751037182686016noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4619357168767443447.post-49900779102488350382024-03-06T06:48:00.012-06:002024-03-07T03:35:44.259-06:00An Appointment Today at the Senior Center
I slept pretty well last night although with no TV I did miss "the weather on the 8's". The Cox man will be here tomorrow between 10:00 AM and 12 Noon. Hopefully he can fix the TV. I was up at 5:00AM as usual and tried to read but three cats came for their breakfasts so that kept me busy. First it was Grey, then Blondie and last of all the little white cat. I miss "the weather on the 8's" but it can't be much different from yesterdays.

I am trying to read one of my old John Grisham books. I am not having a lot of luck with it since the cats are here non stop for their breakfasts.

I was up early as usual. I made my bed and dressed and got myself ready for the day. I had a piece of coffeecake and two cups of Chai Latte for my breakfast.

When it opens I want to go to Dollar General. I need Kleenex since I am about to drown with my allergies and also need some more cat food. Both the dry and the wet. It's 6:43AM now. I also have my 9:00AM hair appointment in Coffeyville. Then I have an appointment at 1:00PM at the Senior Center in Coffeyville.

More Later...

My allergies are about to drown me and I have to get something to dry me up. I have gone through several boxes of Kleenex. While I was there, Cox Complete Care called and wanted to come today instead of tomorrow to fix my TV. I told him I was in Coffeyville and had an appointment at the senior center and would not be home until late afternoon. He wanted to come today instead of tomorrow. I told him I talked to Cox yesterday and told them I would not be home today. I would be in Coffeyville and I had told them that when I talked to Cox yesterday and they gave me an appointment for Thursday between 10:00 and 12:00noon.

He was not happy. He wanted to come today but I did not want to come back home until after 3:00PM. That's why I made the Thursday appointment.

When I got home I called him back and asked him if he would like to come then and he said he was not available that late. I thanked him and we hung up. Undoubtedly he will not be a happy soldier tomorrow. But I had specifically asked for Thursday since I had my appointment in Coffeyville .

My nose ran all day and I went though a pack of Kleenex and I sneezed constantly. I called the drug store and asked for a recommendation of a generic med. They recommended Clariton so that's what I bought. They told me to take one tablet every 24 hours. I think I will take it at night so I can sleep without my nose running constantly and sneezing.

My allergies and all this drainage is driving me crazy.

Margie's Musingshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11206751037182686016noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4619357168767443447.post-26704024166823862222024-03-05T06:00:00.004-06:002024-03-05T07:09:22.235-06:00Lunch at Copan Today
I was up at my usual 5:00AM this morning and made my bed and dressed and got myself ready for the day. I checked for cats at my front door but for awhile there were none there. Then finally I saw grey out there and took that cat's food out to it.

Then "the weather on the 8's" came on and I took a photo of it to put on this blog. Today is to be 62 degrees and partly cloudy, tomorrow is to be 69 degrees and partly cloudy and Thursday is to be 66 degrees and is to be rain and thunderstorms. Friday is to be 60 degrees and thunderstorms, Saturday is to be 54 degrees and mostly sunny, Sunday is to be 62 degrees and sunny and Monday is to be 70 degrees and sunny. That's the week...two days of much needed rain!

I will go check on the cats now again.

More Later...

Sure enough! Blondie was out there this time and I took him his breakfast. He is eating now!

The little white cat finally came for it's breakfast so I took it the new dish. It ate and left. That may be all of them today.

I looked at my calendar and saw that the day for the cookies is next Tuesday...not today. I corrected my calendar and the title of this blog too.

More Even Later..

Margie's Musingshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11206751037182686016noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4619357168767443447.post-52401678247945476302024-03-04T06:28:00.010-06:002024-03-04T15:29:49.217-06:00Monday and Cleaning
I slept well last night. I only woke up once, I was up at 5:30AM and dressed and made my bed and got myself ready for the day.

When I opened the front door both Blondie and Grey were out there waiting for their breakfasts so I fixed them and took them out. They ate and left. I left the food out there for awhile in case the white cat came to eat.

I even caught "the weather on the 8's" for the week, Here it is Today is to be 76 degrees and partly cloudy and windy, tomorrow is to be 67 degrees and partly cloudy, Wednesday is to be 67 degrees and cloudy and Thursday is to be 69 degrees and thunderstorms, Friday is to be 57 degrees and rain, Saturday is to be 55 degrees and partly cloudy and Sunday is to be 60 degrees and sunny, That's the week! Two days of rain! That we really need!

More Later

And sure enough! The little white cat did come to eat. I fed it and when it was finished, I took the food in and covered it.

At noon or thereabouts I decided to go to Independence and eat at the Pizza Place. It was closed so I ended up going to the dairy Queen. It really wasn't that I wanted but it was what was available. I ate and then went out to Walmart and bought Chai Latte and a treat for Wednesday's Bunco game.

More Even Later..

Margie's Musingshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11206751037182686016noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4619357168767443447.post-27571158930148568622024-03-03T07:04:00.004-06:002024-03-03T12:59:06.649-06:00Sunday and Breakfast at Church
I was up at my usual 5:00AM, made my bed and dressed and got myself ready for the day.

I got my coffeecake in the oven and it is out and baked now. It is cooling so I can put the glaze on it.

The cat I call Grey came for it's breakfast and soon after Blondie and lastly the little white cat came to eat. They are all finished and gone now. It is good to have three again.

I also saw "the weather on the 8's" Today is to be 80 degrees and partly cloudy and windy, tomorrow is to be 79 degrees and partly cloudy and windy, Tuesday is to be 66 degrees and partly cloudy, Wednesday is to be 69 degrees and mostly cloudy, Thursday is to be 65 degrees and thunderstorms, Friday is to be 57 degrees and rain. Saturday is to be 57 degrees and partly cloudy. That's the week. A couple of days of rain is better then nothing at all! So rain Thursday and Friday anyhow.

More Later..I need to get the glaze on the coffeecake .

I got the coffeecake finished and glazed.

Then I drove over to the church and we had a very nice service. Leslie, my daughter was in charge. It was a communion service and she did good job.

After the service I just drove on home. Phyllis was not there so I didn't have lunch.

Now I will do my letters and then get back to my book.

Margie's Musingshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11206751037182686016noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4619357168767443447.post-60720007367097137992024-03-02T09:37:00.004-06:002024-03-02T19:29:42.034-06:00Saturday and Lunch at Gabbies
I was up once in the night and took my meds and then got up at 4:45AM and made my bed and dressed and got myself ready for the day.

When I opened the front door Grey was there ready for breakfast. I fixed it and took it out to that cat. It is eating now.

I also was just in time for "the weather on the 8's" and here it is..

Today is to be 77 degrees and sunny, Sunday is to be 82 degrees and mostly sunny and windy, Monday is to be 79 degrees and partly cloudy, Tuesday is to be 69 degrees partly cloudy, Wednesday is to be 69 degrees and partly cloudy, Thursday is to be 62 degrees and rain and Friday is to be 56 degrees and showers. At least two days of rain...thank goodness! We certainly need rain!

I will go check on Grey now. Grey ate and left and then Blondie came for his breakfast. Finally the little white cat came and I fed it too.

After they had all three eaten and were all gone, I finished the book I found in my living room bookcase that I had never read, I took it up to the library and put it n the book drop there.

It's 9:36AM now and I will check the library and see if they are open today. I need a couple more books to read.

More Even Later ...

I got two more books to read at the Caney Library and read one of them this afternoon. I took it up to the book drop and dropped it in. I still have one more book to read this weekend.

It's 7:26 PM now and I just took my bath. I may start that second book and try to finish it tomorrow.

I want to go to bed at 9:00PM or 9:30PM.

I need to bake my coffeecake tomorrow too for our church breakfast..

And also tomorrow I need to clean the apartment and do laundry. It will be a busy day.

Margie's Musingshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11206751037182686016noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4619357168767443447.post-17208961581120833242024-03-01T06:01:00.004-06:002024-03-01T07:59:05.385-06:00Friday and Cats to Feed
I was up at 5:00AM again this morning. I made my bed, dressed and got myself ready for the day. I have had my breakfast bar and even saw "the weather on the 8's"

First Blondie came for his breakfast, ate and left. Next Grey came and I fed that one too. It is eating out there now.It finished and left too.

Finally the pretty little white cat came and polished off the cat food. And it is gone now. That's three cats that came to eat this morning

But here's the weather forecast for the week.

Today is to be 61 degrees and partly cloudy, tomorrow is to be 78 degrees and sunny, Sunday is to be 81 degrees and partly cloudy and windy, Monday is to be 74 degrees and mostly sunny, Tuesday is to be 69 degrees and partly cloudy, Wednesday is to be 64 degrees and PM showers, and Thursday is to be 66 degrees and showers! There's some much needed rain! It's been awhile!

I finally finished the second book I had checked out from the Caney Library. I will take it up the their book drop now.

More Even Later...

Margie's Musingshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11206751037182686016noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4619357168767443447.post-32948031701103513662024-02-29T06:03:00.002-06:002024-02-29T17:01:50.030-06:00Thursday and Perhaps Dairy Queen
I was up very early today..around 4:00AM. I could not get back to sleep. I finally made my bed, dressed and got myself ready for the day.

I may go up to Independence to the Dairy Queen for their $7.00 chicken meal deal. It's always good. Around 10:00AM, I will call Sally and see if she would like to go too.

I caught "the weather on the 8's" but so far..no cats. I will keep checking though. It's only 5:56AM now so it's early.

Today is to be 54 degrees and mostly cloudy, Friday is to be 62 degrees and partly cloudy, Saturday is to be 77 degrees and sunny, Sunday is to be 80 degrees and mostly sunny and windy, Monday is to be 77 degrees 64 degrees and partly cloudy, and Tuesday is to be 64 degrees and partly cloudy. Wednesday is to be 63 degrees and mostly cloudy...again...no rain or snow....and partly cloudy is the norm.

More Later...

Sally did want to go to the Dairy Queen. So we did. We had our usual chicken meal with the hot fudge sundae for dessert. Afterward we went to their Walmart. Sally had something she wanted to buy there, Afterward I drove us back home.

Then I went to the Caney library and checked out two books. I got one read this afternoon and I may take it up to the book drop and drop it in and then go buy some ice cream at Dollar General. I offered to pay for the book that was lost somehow but they would not let me. I remember taking it up to their book drop a couple of weeks ago and dropping it in but somehow, in the process of my using the book drop and them emptying the book drop, it was lost.

Perhaps More Later...

Margie's Musingshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11206751037182686016noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4619357168767443447.post-72763955227599593632024-02-28T06:00:00.006-06:002024-02-28T06:04:18.756-06:00Wednesday and Skipbo
I was up early again this morning at almost 5:00AM. I slept restlessly.

I had a piece of leftover coffeecake and some Chai Latte for my breakfast.

The grey cat came for it's breakfast this morning. I fed it and it ate the dry cat food but left the wet cat food. It had been covered overnight but that may have been the reason it was left. After Grey left, I brought the cat food back in the kitchen.

I will get my hair done this morning at 9:00AM and then go to the senior center for Skipbo...a card game.. at 1:00PM until 3:00PM.

I did catch "the weather on the 8's". Here is the week's forecast.

Today is to be 47 degrees and mostly sunny. Tomorrow is to be 57 degrees and mostly cloudy, Friday is to be 63 degrees and sunny, Saturday is to be 77 degrees and mostly sunny, Sunday is to be 81 degrees and mostly sunny and windy, Monday is to be 65 degrees and partly cloudy, and Tuesday is to be 67 degrees and partly cloudy. We need rain!

More Later...

Margie's Musingshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11206751037182686016noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4619357168767443447.post-44542864910581321712024-02-27T06:03:00.004-06:002024-02-27T16:17:46.378-06:00Tuesday and Lunch in Copan
I slept well last night and was up at 5:00AM, dressed, made my bed and got myself ready for the day. When I opened the front door Blondie and Grey were out thee waiting for their breakfasts. So I took two bowls out to them with both dry cat food and wet cat food. Blondie ate and left but Grey is still out there eating.

I plan to go down to Copan for lunch today. I will try to get Sally to go too. I got those two at at the Coffeyville Library.

I have had one cup of Chai Latte and my breakfast bar. Here is next week's forecast.

Today is to be 86 degrees and partly cloudy and windy. Wednesday is to be 49 degrees mostly cloudy, Thursday is to be 58 degrees and partly cloudy, and Friday is to be 64 degrees and partly cloudy, Saturday is to be 76 degrees and partly cloudy, Sunday is to be 79 degrees and partly cloudy and windy, and Monday is to be 69 degrees and partly cloudy. Lots of partly cloudy and no rain...again.

More Later....I will go read in my book.

I have been reading the past hour. It is 7:59AM. About 10:00AM, I will call Sally and see if she wants to go to lunch. If she does, I will pick her up at noon. If she's not interested, I will go by myself.

I called Sally and she does want to go to lunch a Copan. I will pick her up at 12:00 noon and drive down to the Copan Restaurant for lunch.

More Even Later...

We ate their beef vegetable soup and some German Chocolate pie. Then I drove back to Caney.

I changed the scarf on the dresser in the bedroom and put the other ones in the buffet.

Tomorrow is the card game we play each last Wednesday of the month....Skipbo. It's fun and only about 5 of us play. I will need to pick up a treat to take. I will do that in the morning. I will have my hair done at 9:00AM and go to the senior center to play Skipbo at 1:00PM until 3:00PM,

More Even Later

Margie's Musingshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11206751037182686016noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4619357168767443447.post-72982702910927892702024-02-26T05:59:00.006-06:002024-02-26T20:51:40.861-06:00Monday and the Library
I slept well last night and was up shortly before 5:00AM. I made my bed and dressed and got myself ready for the day.I fed Blondie and the grey cat too. I ate my breakfast bar and drank some Chai Latte. Now there is a second blond cat out there eating.

I caught "the weather on the 8's" too. Here is the week's forecast.

Today will be 79 degrees and partly cloudy, Tuesday is to be 84 degrees and partly cloudy and windy Wednesday is to be 48 degrees and sunny, Thursday is to be 54 degrees and partly cloudy, Friday is to be 66 degrees and partly cloudy, Saturday is to be 70 degrees and partly cloudy, and Sunday is to be 70 degrees and partly cloudy and windy. That's the week,,Again...no rain. And we badly need rain!

It's 8:11AM and later today I may go down to Copan for lunch. Sally can't go because she works on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays until 11:00AM and then eats breakfast. She works in a swimming pool doing therapy for 27 people so she doesn't eat before noon.. Then she eats breakfast at a restaurant in Bartlesville, Oklahoma after she gets off work.. So when she eats with me, it has to be Tuesday or Thursday.

More Even Later...

I went over to Coffeyville and went to the library and checked out two books. Then I drove up to Independence and ate the three chicken strips and french fries at the Dairy Queen and had their small hot fudge sundae afterward for dessert. Then I came back home.

Then I did a load of laundry...including my jacket. I believe it's dry now.

I paid my doctor bill and returned a call to my Shelter Insurance Agent. As usual, she was not in her office.

I left my number in case she wanted to talk to me. She wants to sell me some life insurance but I already have two policies so I won't be buying any more.

I cleaned the floor mats in my car. I used to do that every spring but it has been three years since I have done it. It was time.

More Even Later.

I took my bath and then signed onto Zoom for the church meeting being held there.

After it was over, I signed off. I printed off the schedule.

Margie's Musingshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11206751037182686016noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4619357168767443447.post-7531043286408364682024-02-25T06:34:00.001-06:002024-02-25T06:34:07.707-06:00Sunday and Coffeecake
I was up at 5:00AM as usual. I put together my coffeecake and have it in the oven now. I think it has 15 minutes yet to bake.

I have had my Chai Latte and a breakfast bar myself.

The grey cat came for it's breakfast this morning and after that one ate and left, Blondie came for his and I took it out to him. Made my bed and got myself ready for the day. I looked to see if there was a cat out front but there wasn't.

I did catch "the weather on the 8's" though. Here's the week's forecast.

Today is to be 68 degrees and sunny. Tomorrow is to be 76 degrees and sunny, Monday is to be 79 degrees and mostly sunny, Tuesday is to be 83 degrees and mostly cloudy and windy, Wednesday is to be 48 degrees and mostly sunny, Thursday is to be 57 degrees and mostly sunny, and Friday is to be 65 degrees and sunny. Again...no rain just lots of sunshine and wind.

I am having my Chai Latte and a breakfast bar now.

I finally found Blondie and the grey cat out front looking for their breakfasts. I took a couple of bowls out for them with dry and wet cat food in them.

Later on today, I will go up to Gabbies for lunch.

I have been back to reading. It's too early to go to Gabbies. It's only 10:04AM. I don't believe they open until 10:30AM.

More Even Later...

I went up to Gabbies and had her chicken salad sandwich. It was very good. Then I came back home and read all afternoon.

I have had my bath and it's only 5:01PM but I want to watch the CBS news and it's on about 25 minutes from now.

I plan to read some more after the news until 9:00PM.

I will make my coffeecake tomorrow morning for the breakfast at church at 10:00AM.

Margie's Musingshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11206751037182686016noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4619357168767443447.post-66338204173754281902024-02-23T06:35:00.005-06:002024-02-23T13:58:04.197-06:00Friday and Reading
I slept well last night and was up at 5:45AM. I made my bed and dressed and got myself ready for the day. I will read this morning and eat at Copan at noon. I also need to go by Dollar General and buy more wet cat food. Blondie came for breakfast this morning and ate nearly all the food in his dish.

I also caught "the weather on the 8's" and here it is.

Friday (today) is to be 69 degrees and sunny, Saturday is to be 68 degrees and sunny, Sunday is to be 75 degrees and sunny, Monday is to be 79 degrees and partly cloudy, Tuesday is to be 80 degrees and mostly cloudy and windy. Wednesday is to be 50 degrees and partly cloudy, Thursday is to be 59 degrees and partly cloudy. That's the week! Again...no rain.

I read late last evening and still went to bed fairly early...7:30PM, I think it was. I still haven't finished my book though. Leslie and John came and she installed the color cartridges for my printer. She also put a new filter in my Kerig. It's handy having her nearby. She and John had been to Bartlesville to see the doctor. John has dealt with the infection in his foot for weeks now but the doctor is happy with the progress in it's healing.

More Later...

It's nearly 10:00AM now and I will go over to Dollar General and buy some more wet cat food. I am nearly out. Blondie came to eat today. I am thinking of going to Copan Restaurant for lunch. It's only 10:00AM now so it's too early for lunch. But it still sounds good.

More Even Later..

I went over to Coffeyville to wash my car and also go to Walmart to get Chai Latte. Then when I got home, I went down to Copan for lunch. I got some mail warning about older women's health problems. I will take those to Karan. She has a heart health problem... A-Fib. She is going to have a surgery March 1st. I hope that works out well.

Now I will get back to the book I have been reading...

More Even Later...

Margie's Musingshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11206751037182686016noreply@blogger.com3
