Bookcases Ah Yes!

Today I was reading the blog of Judy from "Living On The Other Side Of The Hill" and she displayed the bookcases her husband built after he retired. They were beautiful! That reminded me of my own obsession. I have three or four bookcases all full of books. I sell books constantly on Amazon yet replace them with even more books.

Above are some of our bookcases...full of books.

I am currently reading three books. One is "American Apocrypha". Another is "The Pagan Christ" and the third is John Grisham's book, "The Summons". When I get tired of reading one of them, I read awhile in another.

Last month I presented my paper on the Apostle Paul at the Symposium. I am thinking of writing another paper and this time on the development of the Jesus story in the scriptures. That's an interesting subject.

Anyhow, these bookcases just keep getting filled up no matter how many books I sell.

Margie, I can relate to your book problem. Now that we're apartment dwellers I'm constantly combing through books to get rid of in one way or another.

Wonder if books will ever go the path of newspapers? I read a lot on my Kindle and listen to books on my iPod. For people our age nothing will take the place of a 'real' book.

I love books...and bookcases. My hubby has built a couple for me too. I fill them as soon as he builds them. I love yours Margie...much bigger that mine.

Your bookcases are really nice Margie and I know what you are talking about regarding the books. We are always buying and getting rid of books but isn't it wonderful to have one you just can't put down. By the way Bob is not my husband. We have been seeing each other for almost five years and he seems like a husband sometimes! He has his own home and I have mine but we are together a lot.

Great book cases, Margie, and best of all LOTS of books! What would we do without them??? Hope you've had a good weekend and a good week to come.

Thanks, gals.

Thanks for cluing me in on your Bob, Judy. I guess I just assumed you were married because you mention him a lot.
