Saturday and Lunch at Gabbies

I was up once in the night and took my meds and then got up at 4:45AM and made my bed and dressed and got myself ready for the day.

When I opened the front door Grey was there ready for breakfast. I fixed it and took it out to that cat. It is eating now. 

I also was just in time for "the weather on the 8's" and here it is..

Today is to be 77 degrees and sunny, Sunday  is to be 82 degrees and  mostly sunny and windy, Monday is to be 79 degrees and partly cloudy, Tuesday is to be 69 degrees partly cloudy, Wednesday is to be 69 degrees and partly cloudy, Thursday is to be 62 degrees and rain and   Friday is to be 56 degrees and showers. At least two days of rain...thank goodness! We certainly need rain!

I will go check on Grey now. Grey ate and left and then Blondie came for his breakfast. Finally the little white cat came and I fed it too.

After they had all three eaten and were all gone,  I finished the book I found in my living room bookcase that I had never read, I took it up to the library and put it n the book drop there.

It's 9:36AM now and I will check the library  and see if they are open today. I need a couple more books to read.

More Even Later ...

I got two more books to read at the Caney Library and read one of them this afternoon. I took it up to the book drop and dropped it in. I still have one more book to read this weekend.

It's 7:26 PM now and I just took my bath. I may start that second book and try to finish it tomorrow.

I want to go to bed at 9:00PM or 9:30PM.

I need to bake my coffeecake tomorrow too for our church breakfast..

And also tomorrow I need to clean the apartment and do laundry. It will be a busy day.

 

Friday and Cats to Feed

 I was up at 5:00AM again this morning. I made my bed, dressed and got myself ready for the day.  I have had my breakfast bar and even saw "the weather on the 8's"

First Blondie came for his breakfast, ate and left. Next Grey came and I fed that one too. It is eating out there now.It finished and left too.

Finally the pretty little white cat came and polished off the cat food. And it is gone now. That's three cats that came to eat this morning

But here's the weather forecast for the week. 

Today is to be 61 degrees and partly cloudy, tomorrow is to be 78 degrees and sunny, Sunday is to be 81 degrees and partly cloudy and windy, Monday is to be 74 degrees and mostly sunny, Tuesday is to be 69 degrees and partly cloudy, Wednesday is to be 64 degrees and PM showers, and Thursday is to be 66 degrees and showers! There's some much needed rain! It's been awhile!

I finally finished the second book I had checked out from the Caney Library. I will take it up the their book drop now.

Thursday and Perhaps Dairy Queen

I was up very early today..around 4:00AM. I could not get back to sleep. I finally made my bed, dressed and got myself ready for the day. 

I may go up to Independence to the Dairy Queen for their $7.00   chicken meal deal. It's always good. Around 10:00AM, I will call Sally and see if she would like to go too.

I caught "the weather on the 8's" but so far..no cats. I will keep checking though. It's only 5:56AM now so it's early.

Today is to be 54 degrees and mostly cloudy, Friday is to be 62 degrees and partly cloudy, Saturday is to be 77 degrees and sunny, Sunday is to be 80 degrees and mostly sunny and windy, Monday is to be 77 degrees 64 degrees and partly cloudy, and Tuesday is to be 64 degrees and partly cloudy. Wednesday is to be 63 degrees and mostly cloudy...again...no rain or snow....and partly cloudy is the norm.

Sally did want to go to the Dairy Queen. So we did. We had our usual chicken meal with the hot fudge sundae for dessert. Afterward we went to their Walmart. Sally had something she wanted to buy there, Afterward I drove us back home.

Then I went to the Caney library and checked out two books. I got one read this afternoon and I may take it up to the book drop and drop it in and then go buy some ice cream at Dollar General. I offered to pay for the book that was lost somehow but they would not let me. I remember taking it up to their book drop a couple of weeks ago and dropping it in but somehow, in the process of my using the book drop and them emptying the book drop, it was lost.

Wednesday and Skipbo

I was up early again this morning at almost 5:00AM. I slept restlessly. 

I had a piece of leftover coffeecake and some Chai Latte for my breakfast.

The grey cat came for it's breakfast this morning. I fed it and it ate the dry cat food but left the wet cat food. It had been covered overnight but that may have been the reason it was left.  After Grey left, I brought the cat food back in the kitchen.

I will get my hair done this morning at 9:00AM and then go to the senior center for Skipbo...a card game.. at 1:00PM until 3:00PM.

I did catch "the weather on the 8's". Here is the week's forecast.

Today is to be 47 degrees and mostly sunny. Tomorrow is to be 57 degrees and mostly cloudy, Friday is to be 63 degrees and sunny, Saturday is to be 77 degrees and mostly sunny, Sunday is to be 81 degrees and mostly sunny and windy, Monday is to be 65 degrees and partly cloudy, and Tuesday is to be 67 degrees and partly cloudy. That's the week! No rain and lots of sunshine! We need rain!

Tuesday and Lunch in Copan

 I slept well last night and was up at 5:00AM, dressed, made my bed and got myself ready for the day. When I opened the front door Blondie and Grey were out thee waiting for their breakfasts. So I took two bowls out to them with both dry cat food and wet cat food. Blondie ate and left but Grey is still out there eating.

I plan to go down to Copan for lunch today. I will try to get Sally to go too. She doesn't work on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.

I plan to read in my latest Grisham book today too. I got those two at at the Coffeyville Library.

I have had one cup of Chai Latte and my breakfast bar.  Later I had the second cup of Chai.

Wednesday is to be 49 degrees mostly cloudy, Thursday is to be 58 degrees and partly cloudy, and Friday is to be 64 degrees and partly cloudy, Saturday is to be 76 degrees and partly cloudy, Sunday is to be 79 degrees and partly cloudy and windy, and Monday is to be 69 degrees and partly cloudy. Lots of partly cloudy and no rain...again.

I have been reading the past hour. It is 7:59AM.  About 10:00AM, I will call Sally and see if she wants to go to lunch. If she does, I will pick her up at noon. If she's not interested, I will go by myself.

I called Sally and she does want to go to lunch a Copan. I will pick her up at 12:00 noon and drive down to the Copan Restaurant for lunch.

We ate their beef vegetable soup and some German Chocolate pie. Then I drove back to Caney.

I changed the scarf on the dresser in the bedroom and put the other ones in the buffet.

Tomorrow is the card game we play each last Wednesday of the month....Skipbo. It's fun and only about 5 of us play. I will need to pick up a treat to take. I will do that in the morning. I will have my hair done at 9:00AM and go to the senior center to play Skipbo at 1:00PM until 3:00PM,

Monday and the Library

I slept well last night and was up shortly before 5:00AM. I made my bed and dressed and got myself ready for the day.I fed Blondie and the grey cat too. I ate my breakfast bar and drank some Chai Latte. Now there is a second blond cat out there eating. 

I  caught "the weather on the 8's" too. Here is the week's forecast.

Today will be 79 degrees and partly cloudy, Tuesday is to be 84 degrees and partly cloudy and windy Wednesday is to be 48 degrees and sunny, Thursday is to be 54 degrees and partly cloudy, Friday is to be 66 degrees and partly cloudy, Saturday is to be 70 degrees and partly cloudy, and Sunday is to be 70 degrees and partly cloudy and windy. That's the week,,Again...no rain. And we badly need rain!

It's 8:11AM and later today I may go down to Copan for lunch. Sally can't go because she works on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays until 11:00AM and then eats breakfast. She works in a swimming pool doing therapy for 27 people so she doesn't eat before noon.. Then she eats breakfast at a restaurant in Bartlesville, Oklahoma after she gets off work.. So when she eats with me, it has to be Tuesday or Thursday.

I went over to Coffeyville and went to the library and checked out two books. Then I drove up to Independence and ate the three chicken strips and french fries at the Dairy Queen and had their small hot fudge sundae afterward for dessert. Then I came back home.

Then I did a load of laundry...including my jacket. I believe it's dry now.

I paid my doctor bill and returned a call to my Shelter Insurance Agent. As usual, she was not in her office.

I left my number in case she wanted to talk to me. She wants to sell me some life insurance but I already have two policies so I won't be  buying any more. 

I cleaned the floor mats in my car. I used to do that every spring but it has been three years since I have done it. It was time.

I took my bath and then signed onto Zoom for the church meeting being held there.

After it was over, I signed off. I printed off the schedule.

Sunday and Coffeecake

I was up at 5:00AM as usual. I put together my coffeecake and have it in the oven now. I think it has 15 minutes yet to bake.

I have had my Chai Latte and a breakfast bar myself.

The grey cat came for it's breakfast this morning and after that one ate and left, Blondie came for his and I took it out to him. He is eating now.

I will be taking the coffeecake out of the oven as soon as the alarm goes off.

I will let it cool and then put a glaze on it. It's 6:25AM now. I will leave for church at 9:00AM.
