Friday and a Trip to Camp

 I slept very well last night for a change. I was up early and packed for the weekend. I made my bed and got myself ready for the day. I will drive over to Karan's about 3:00PM today and we will take her car to the campgrounds. We will put mine in her garage for the weekend. We will be coming back home Saturday. Then she and Leslie will go to Arkansas for the rest of the week.

When I opened the door this morning, Blondie was there waiting for his breakfast. I fixed it for him and he ate his fill and left.

I had my breakfast bar and coffee and now my Chai Latte.

However, I did also catch "the weather on the 8's"

Today is to be 71 degrees and AM showers, tomorrow is to be 51 degrees and PM showers, Sunday is to be 41 degrees and rain, Monday is to be 47 degrees and sunny, Tuesday is to be 47 degrees and sunny, Wednesday is to be  51 degrees and sunny, and Thursday is to be 60 degrees and sunny..so some rain and also some sun. Friday, Saturday and Sunday are to be rainy. The rest of the week is to be sunny. We need all the rain we can get.

More Later ..

For lunch, I went to the Caney Eggbert's and had their small chef salad. When I got back home, the little black and white cat was eating again. When that one finished the snow white cat came and ate too.

Karan just called and her car is all packed and she wants me to come on over so we can put my stuff in her car and get ready to go when she is ready.

More tomorrow evening when I get back home.

We had a very good time and saw a lot of people we knew.

I got home about 6:00PM from Karan's. We ran into very little rain on the trip home. I took my bath at 7:00PM after I unpacked and fed Blondie..who was waiting for something to eat. Poor cat. He had no breakfast this morning and was very hungry.

I will read awhile and go to bed about 9:00PM. I have unpacked and put everything away. I think I have Karan's hand towel as well as my own. I will take hers to her on Wednesday. They are very close to alike and I tend to mix them up. 

 

 

Thursday and Apartment Cleaning

 I slept pretty well last night and was only up once and then took my two meds and got back to sleep. I was up at 5:00AM. made my bed and got myself ready for the day. Then I turned on the TV and caught "the weather on the 8's" and also Blondie waiting for his breakfast.  I put it out front for him and he is eating hungrily. I had my breakfast bar and am drinking my coffee.

I will clean the apartment today. I cleaned for a couple of hours and got everything nice and shiny. 

I am leaving tomorrow at 3:30PM with Karan for the women's retreat at the campsite just south of Joplin Missouri. It's just Friday and Saturday but it should be a good retreat. It's been awhile since we've had one.

Now, for the weather..

Today is to be 79 degrees and AM light rain,  tomorrow is to be 70 degrees and AM thunderstorms, Saturday is to be 51 degrees and rain, Sunday is to be 41 degrees and rain. Monday is to be 48 degrees and mostly sunny, Tuesday is to be 49 degrees and sunny, and Wednesday is to be 50 degrees and sunny. That's the week...cooler weather and some rain.

I called Sally to see if she wanted to go to lunch at the Dairy Queen in Independence. She did..but she was in Coffeyville and stuck next to a long train. I told her I would wait for her to get home and she said she would call me when that happened. Sure enough, she did and I picked her up and we went to Independence and ate at the Dairy Queen. We like to do that about once a week. We got back home about 2:50PM.

More Later... It's 3:38PM now...

It's 7:32PM now and I just took my bath and put my pajamas on. I had finished the second book from the library this afternoon and took both of them up to the library's book drop. 

Karan and I will be leaving for the Joplin area tomorrow afternoon to the women's retreat. She and I will be back home Saturday afternoon. Since most of our congregation are women and what men we have do not know how to operate the electronics, we dismissed church on Sunday. Karan and Leslie will be gone to Arkansas on Saturday afternoon and Sunday. I will go to one of the local churches here in Caney.  It's called Cornerstone Church of Caney. Keith and Barbara Rogers attend there.

I will read on a book I had started some time ago until my 9:00PM bedtime.

 

Wednesday and Game Day

Today is game day at the senior center. I have to admit I did not sleep well at all last night. I don't know what the problem was but I was awake more then I slept. I must have woke up ten times last night. I went to sleep just fine but I could not stay asleep. I finally just got up at shortly before 5:00AM, made my bed and dressed and got myself ready for the day.

I have had my breakfast bar and am drinking my coffee now. My chai Latte is in the brewer and when I finish my coffee I will get it and drink it. I also need to check and see if Blondie is out front waiting for his breakfast. I will get back to this later.

No Blondie was not out there yet. It's only 5:16AM so there is plenty of time.  I will go watch for the "weather on the 8's"now.No, Blondie was not out there yet. But the weather forecast was on the TV. 

Today is to be 73 degrees and scattered thunderstorms, tomorrow is to be 79 degrees and AM rain, Friday is to be 71 degrees and AM thunderstorms, Saturday is to be 58 degrees and rain, Sunday is to be 43 degrees and rain, Monday is to be 48 degrees and mostly sunny, .and Tuesday is to be 48 degrees and sunny. So this week is to be a mixture but mostly rainy. We need the rain desperately!

It's 5:59AM and Blondie and the little black and white cat are both out there. The black and white cat is going to have to wait for Blondie to finish before it gets to eat. I don't think he will share. When he finished his breakfast, he left and the little black and white cat came and finished the food. Blondie didn't disturb it.

More Even Later..

I left for Coffeyville at 8:00AM. I went to my hair  appointment first and got my hair colored and cut. Then I got my weekly cherry lime aid slush at Sonic. Then I went out to Walmart and bought a few groceries. I stopped at my bank and got some cash. Then I went to the Community National Bank and cashed the check from the insurance company. Sure enough...it was just a check for $100...not the $175.00 I was out for the tow back to Caney three weeks ago.

 Luckily I had the money. I sure didn't intend to  use it like that. I did try to get their tow company. I called them and so did Leslie. They told both of us  "We don't have anything in your area." So I called a local  Coffeyville tow company... so because the one I was supposed to use from my insurance company didn't have anything in our area, it cost me an additional $75.00. That certainly wasn't fair. After all I did call their company.

Oh well! It's only money. 

I went to game day at the senior center at 1:00PM and we played until 3:00 PM. We had a good time. There were 5 of us.

It's 6:30PM now and I will soon take my bath...at 7:30PM  and read until bedtime at 9:00PM

Tuesday and Possible Rain

I was up at my usual 5:00AM this morning, dressed, made my bed and got myself ready for the day.

I opened the front door but there was no cat waiting for their breakfast, Usually at 5:57AM at least Blondie is out there waiting for his breakfast. Not this morning..at least, not yet. I am eating my breakfast bar and drinking my coffee. I have had my juice and will soon have my Chai Latte.

I opened the front door again and Blondie was out there this time. I had his breakfast all ready so I set it out there. He got busy eating it.

I had also already seen and took a photo of  "the weather on the 8's". Today is to be 70 degrees and rain, Wednesday is to be 76 degrees and isolated thunderstorms, Thursday is to be 80 degrees and AM thunderstorms, Friday is to be 75 degrees and AM thunderstorms, Saturday is to be 64 degrees and scattered thunderstorms,Sunday is to be 54 degrees and showers and Monday is to be 48 degrees and AM showers.It looks like a week of rain if the forecast is correct. We really need it!

More Later...  

Before I left for my walk, the little  white came to eat from the cat bowl. The black and white one had already come and so did Blondie.

I took my walk at  8:00AM and got back home at 8:32AM. It had rained a little so there wasn't much trash. What I did get, I tied into my grocery sack and put in my dumpster. I had taken my umbrella just in case!

Closer to noon. I will call Sally and see if she wants to go to lunch.

I did call Sally and asked her if she wanted t go to the Copan Restaurant with me for lunch, She did and I will pick her up at !1:45.

The little white cat came and ate all the dry cat food so when Blondie came back for more food I just gave him dry cat food. I have only enough wet cat food for his breakfasts. He will eat that dry cat food even though he prefers and wet cat food.

 More Even Later...

I picked up Sally at 11:5AM and we went to Copan Restaurant for lunch. After we had a cup of their beef vegetable soup, we split a piece of German Chocolate pie. As usual, it was delicious.

It rained lightly almost all day.

Then I took Sally home and came home myself. I read all afternoon and finished the first of the two books I got at the library at noon yesterday. It is 3:58PM now.

I will watch the news at 5:30PM and then take my bath at 7:00PM and put my PJs on afterward.

Monday and Possible Rain This Week

 I slept well again last night and was up at 5:00AM as usual. I made my bed and got myself ready for the day.

When I opened the front door, Blondie was there waiting for his breakfast.  I took it out to him and the little black and white cat was there too waiting for a chance at the food I had taken out to Blondie. When he finished and ate all he wanted, he walked away and left the rest of the cat food for the black and white cat. It ate all it wanted and soon left too. There is still food out there and maybe the pure white cat will come and eat too.

It did come after awhile. So all three have had something to eat today.

I did catch "the weather on the 8's" while I was drinking my coffee.

Today  is to be 86 degrees and mostly sunny, Tuesday is to be 72 degrees and rain. Wednesday is to be 77 degrees and isolated thunderstorms, Thursday is to be 79 degrees scattered thunderstorms and Friday is to be 73 degrees and AM thunderstorms, and Saturday is to be 65 degrees and scattered thunderstorms, and Sunday is to be 61 degrees and showers. That's six days of pretty possible rain which we badly need..

More Later... 

Blondie came back and ate some more after the little black and white cat finished her breakfast. I put some more dry cat food in the dish and now she is back eating again. I haven't seen Blondie again.

I polished my Clark shoes after I dressed.

I went out to Dollar General and bought $40.00 worth of groceries and put them away when I got back home.

I decided to mow the front yard this morning while it was nice. If it stays nice, I will mow the back yard this afternoon. It's the small one and shouldn't be a challenge. The west side is the largest...and the front too.

About 3:45PM, I decided to go ahead and mow the back yard. Then I filled another big trash bag. I wiped off my Clark shoes again. They were covered with dust from the mowing.

All I lack now is the west side yard..

I think I will put those four pieces of pizza I brought home from the pizza place in Independence.in the microwave and heat them up for my lunch. I finished my last book this morning and took it up to the library book drop. They don't open on Mondays until 12:30PM so I may go up this afternoon and get two more books. Otherwise I won't have anything to read the rest of the week. 

And that's what I did.

Karan and I leave for the camp grounds at 3:30PM on Friday. We will come back home Saturday afternoon. She will do her laundry and repack for her and Leslie's trip to Arkansas on Sunday.

It's 4:12PM now and I guess I will get back to the new book I started.

Sunday and Church

 I slept very well last night and was only up once to take my two meds.

I got up at 5:00AM, dressed, made my bed and got myself ready for the day.  I have the coffeecake in the oven now and it is baking. It bakes for 45 minutes, cools and then I put a glaze on it.

When I opened the front door, I first saw the little black and white cat out there but as soon as I retrieved the cat bowl, Blondie came up and the black and white cat left. It will probably be back when he eats his fill and leaves. I am feeding three cats now...counting the little snow white cat.

Today is to be 85 degrees and sunny, tomorrow is to be 86 degrees and mostly sunny, Tuesday is to be 74 degrees and  thunderstorms, Wednesday is to be 78 degrees and scattered thunderstorms, Thursday is to be 78 degrees and showers, Friday is to be 67 degrees and AM showers, Saturday is to be 67 degrees and showers. I hope we get all that rain. We definitely need it!

More Later...I will go check on the cats now.  

I took my walk at 7:45AM this morning and got back at 8:25AM. I got quite a bit of trash, put it in my dumpster and drug that out to the curb. Tomorrow is trash pick up day.

I didn't see the little white cat this morning. Blondie came and ate and the little black and white cat did too. I am leaving the dry cat food out there this morning so the white cat will have something to eat if she finally comes for her breakfast.

We had an unusual worship service this morning. Instead of Karan bringing the message, she brought one from a protestant church. It was good but definitely not the usual. 

No one was going to lunch so I just came on home.  They decided to cancel the services for next Sunday. No one who knew how to operate the electronics was going to be there so we are just going to put a sign on the door and cancel church for next Sunday. 

Karan and I are planning to leave for the women's retreat about 3:30PM Friday and be there for Friday and Saturday and come back late Saturday afternoon and then Leslie and Karan are both going to be gone to Arkansas for some service there. Kelly and Melissa are not planning to be there since they are expecting a second grandchild. Kelly and Leslie are the only ones who can operate the electronics. I will just attend the Cornerstone church here in Caney.

I took some more dry cat food out for the white cat or the black and white one or maybe even Blondie.
