Saturday and Nothing Much Going On

 I was up at my usual 5:00AM, made my bed and dressed and got myself ready for the day. I turned on the TV and found "the weather on the 8's" right away. When I opened the front door, Blondie was there waiting for his breakfast. I got it for him and he ate his fill and left. I brought the leftover dry food in the garage and covered it. He had eaten all the wet food. He really likes a mixture of wet food and dry food so he eats some of each.

Here's the weather forecast: Today is to be 93 degrees and sunny, Sunday is to be 92 degrees and mostly sunny, Monday is to be 90 degrees and sunny, Tuesday is to be 88 degrees and mostly cloudy, Wednesday is to be 80 degrees and scattered thunderstorms, Thursday is to be 80 degrees and partly cloudy, and Friday is to be  80 degrees and partly cloudy. That's the week. One day of probable rain and that's Wednesday.

I don't have a plan for today. I may ask Sally to go eat at Independence's Dairy Queen for lunch. She may rather go to Gabby's. I will check later...

More Later: We ended up going to Gabby's for lunch and we had a taco salad. I had a coke with mine and Sally had water. It was good.

More Even Later..

I went to the market today to get flavored water but they were out. I still have part of a bottle. I will try to ration it. If Phyllis an I go to Eggbert's in Coffeyville tomorrow to have lunch, I may go out to Walmart and buy some from the Walmart in Coffeyville.

I spent a couple of hours going through my storage closet in the bedroom and putting some stuff I can get rid of in the back seat of my car. I will take it into the church tomorrow and put it in the all purpose room to be sold in our rummage sale at church on Saturday October 14th.

I went out to the flower bed in the back yard and noticed the mums are not blooming. I took a pitcher of water out and watered them. But everyone else's mums are in full bloom.

I spent most of the afternoon reading one of the library books I checked out yesterday. It's 6:38PM now and I am going to take my bath, I plan to go to bed at 9:00PM this evening. After going through that closet this afternoon, I am very tired.

 

Friday and a Restful Day

I slept pretty well last night an was up even earlier then usual. It wasn't quite 5:00AM when I finally decided to get up.  I made my bed, dressed and got myself ready for the day.

I fixed myself some coffee and opened the front door to a hungry Blondie. I fed him and had my own breakfast bar and coffee.

I even caught "the weather on the 8's". 

Today is to be 94 degrees and sunny, tomorrow is to be 93 and sunny,  Sunday is to be 92 degrees and Mostly Sunny, Monday is to be 92 degrees and Mostly sunny, Tuesday is to be 89 degrees and Partly Cloudy, Wednesday is to be 81 degrees and Scattered Thunderstorms and Thursday is to be 76 degrees and Thursday is to be 76 degrees and AM showers.  So we have a chance for rain two days this next week, Wednesday and Thursday.

I got a lot done this week. Yesterday I changed my bed, did laundry yesterday and finished mowing my west side yard. And Sally and I went to the Copan Restaurant for lunch. Wednesday was game day, Tuesday I cleaned the apartment. And Monday I mowed the front and back yards. 

So today I will rest and read.

About 7:45AM, I took my walk and went to the library book drop and put my last Caney book in it.

Then I walked on to 4th street. As I was about halfway down 4th street, I saw three teens walking and they threw something into the street. When I got up there, they were gone but I went into the street to see what they had thrown there. It was a dead black cat. I picked it up and put it in my trash bag. Then when I got home I tied up the trash sack and put it in my dumpster. I was furious. They just threw it into the street. Some people don't teach their kids any better. If that had been my kids, and I had seen that, they would have got a thrashing! And they would have got my trash sack to dispose of and a lecture.

If I had had a shovel, I would have buried it.

Thursday and Laundry and Mowing.

 I was up at 5:00AM or even before. I stripped my bed and am washing and drying the sheets. I will remake the bed as soon as the sheets are dry.

I turned on the TV and opened the front door and there was Blondie, waiting for his breakfast. He ate his fill and has left now. I will leave the food out there awhile in case he wants more. 

I did catch "the weather on the 8's" and the news is not good.

Today is to be 95 degrees and sunny, Friday is to be 93 degrees and sunny, Saturday is to be 93 degrees and sunny, Sunday is to be 92 degrees and Mostly Sunny, Monday is to be 92 degrees and Mostly Sunny Tuesday is to be 91 degrees and Mostly Cloudy, and Wednesday is to be 85 degrees and isolated thunderstorms. The only hope of rain is next Wednesday. You would never know it is Fall.

More Later... 

It was 68 degrees at 10:00AM and I decided to mow my west yard while I was still able....it was cool enough. It wasn't all that hot and I got two bags of clippings and leaves bundled up in two large yard bags and in my trash receptacle.

That's done for one more week. 

 How about that! I caught Sally on the phone this time. And we will go to Copan Restaurant for lunch at 11:30AM  today. I will pick her up then.

More Even Later..

I texted Diana about the book and newspaper article Sally gave Denise. She seemed impressed.

We had our usual good lunch at Copan restaurant. We split a piece of freshly made German Chocolate cream pie. It was scrumptious! Then I took Sally home and came home myself. 

Later this afternoon  I ran the trimmer on the entire yard. It looks pretty good now for what it is...definitely needs rain because it's bleached out and looks pitiful.

I will read all the rest of the afternoon until time for my bath and then back to the book until 9:00PM...bedtime.

Wednesday and Game Day

I slept fairly well last night although I was up a couple of times in the night to drink water or go to the bathroom. I must have slept with my mouth open at least part of the time for my mouth to get so dry. Finally at 5:00AM, I just got up and made the bed and dressed and got myself ready for the day. I will get my hair done at 9:00AM this morning and then go to the library in Coffeyville to return a book and read until  time to go to game day at the senior center at 2:00PM.

I got the "weather on the 8's" shortly after 5:00AM this morning. I haven't checked for Blondie  yet because it's only 5:8AM now and probably way too early for him. I will post the weather for the week here.

Today is to be 91 degrees and sunny, tomorrow is to be 93 degrees and sunny, Friday is to be 93 degrees and sunny and Saturday is to be 93 degrees and sunny, Sunday is t be 92 degrees and mostly sunny, Monday is to be 93 degrees and mostly sunny,  and Tuesday is to be 92 degrees and partly cloudy. That's the week...not much different from yesterday's forecast. Plenty hot..and no rain.

I took my walk and picked up several pieces of trash. I put it in my trash receptacle when I got back home. 

I also took the book I finished last evening back to the Caney library and dropped it in the book drop.

The doorbell rang as I was typing this and it was Sally Love. One of her daughters died of breast cancer and I had told her about the dilemma of my niece. She brought a book she had from her experience and wants me to take it to Denise, my niece, and give it to her. She is going through that now. I will take it to her after I get my hair done this morning.

More Later...

When I got to Coffeyville, I went to the bank to get the money for my hair. Then I stopped at Sonic and bought myself a cherry limeade slush. I drank some of that while I waited for my appointment. Then Toni did my hair and I dropped by the library and dropped the Coffeyville library book in their book drop. I went out to Woodshed and bought a tank of gas. I was very nearly out altogether.

Then I took Sally's book and paper by Denise's place and she and I visited awhile and I told her about Sally wanting her to have the book and paper with the article in it. She agreed to read them. She was impressed by Sally's wanting to let her have them.

Then I went to the senior center and when everyone came we played Skip Bo. We played a couple of hours and then I went by Marilyn's and visited awhile. I gave her the rest of my treats from the treat break.

I then came on home and read awhile and later, closer to 7:00PM, I took my bath. Then I got back to the latest book. I read until 8:00PM and prepared to read until 9:00PM when I plan to go to bed.

If it's halfway decent tomorrow toward noon, I will mow the west yard. Then I will see if Sally wants to go to lunch..

Tuesday and Cleaning

I slept fairly well last night considering I was out of Melatonin. I was up shortly after 5:00AM, made my bed, dressed and got myself ready for the day. Today, I need to clean the apartment.I mowed the front and back yesterday but still have to mow the west side..the largest!

I haven't checked for Blondie yet but I did catch "the weather on the 8's". Today is to be 93 degrees and sunny, Wednesday is to be 91 degrees and sunny,  Thursday is to be 92 degrees and sunny, Friday is to be 92 degrees and sunny, Saturday is to be 92 degrees and sunny and Sunday is to be 91 degrees and partly Cloudy, and Monday is to be 91 degrees and sunny. The entire next week is to be hot and sunny....no rain at all.

Blondie finally cane for his breakfast and he ate his fill and I put his leftover dry cat food back in the garage and covered it.

I got the apartment cleaned today and then went up to Independence and had lunch at Big Cheese. It was, as always, very good.

Then I went out to the Dollar General store here in Caney and bought some more Melatonin so I can sleep better. And while I was there, I bought some more wet cat food for Blondie. After that I went to the Caney Market and bought some more flavored water.

Then I read the rest of the afternoon. 

I just had my bath and it's 6:39PM. I never did get the west side of my yard mowed. It was the only part I didn't get mowed. Maybe I can get it done Thursday evening or even Wednesday evening. I will play it by ear.

I will go back to my book. Maybe I can get it finished this evening.  I plan to go to bed at 9:00PM.

Monday and "the Weather in the 8's"

I was up shortly before 5:00AM again this morning. I made my bed and dressed and got myself ready for the day. I even caught Blondie early on. I fed him and he ate his fill and left then I took his food into the garage and covered it. He ate almost all the wet food and some of the dry food.

 I did catch "the weather in the 8's", fairly early. Today is to be 90 degrees and sunny, tomorrow is to be 90 degrees too and sunny, Wednesday is to be 88 degrees and mostly sunny, Thursday is to be 90 degrees and sunny, . Friday is to be 91 degrees and sunny, Saturday is to be 91 degrees and sunny and Sunday is to be 90 degrees and partly cloudy. Mostly a hot and dry week....no rain in the forecast in the next week.

More Later... it's 6:26AM now. I have had my breakfast bar and coffee and even my Chai Latte.

It's 8:12AM and I just finished my walk.  I picked up a sack of trash...as usual. I put it in my trash receptacle when I got home. 

And as I went by the post office box, I put my stamped 5 letters in it

Then later this afternoon I went to Bartlesville and washed my car and then met Sally at the Boulevard Cafe for breakfast..

When I got home I put what little gas I had in my gas can in the mower at 2:25PM and mowed the front yard. Then I was played out. I don't think Mike intends to mow anymore. I may go out to the gas pumps on the highway and put some more gas in my gas can.. Then later today, toward evening, I could fill the mower and mow the back yard.  The west side will have to wait for cooler weather. It's 3:40PM now.

I mowed the back yard about 5:15PM. It's 5:54 PM now and I want to take my bath at 7:00PM. I still have the west side to do but I can't do it today. It's 90 degrees out there and I am very tired. I wish Mike would do the west side until I can find someone else to do it.  Surely the mowing is about finished since it's fall. I lifted two full bags of clippings into the trash receptacle.

Sunday and Breakfast at Church

I was up at my usual 5:00AM this morning and had my breakfast bar and coffee and will soon have my Chai Latte

Blondie is nowhere to be found. I have checked the front door several times.

I did catch "the weather on the 8's" though.Today is to be 83 degrees and mostly cloudy, Monday is to be 88 degrees and sunny, Tuesday is to be 88 degrees and sunny, Wednesday is to be 87 degrees and partly cloudy, Thursday is to be 89 degrees and sunny, Friday is to be 90 degrees and sunny, and Saturday is to be 89 degrees and mostly sunny.

No rain in the forecast this week. Just hot weather...

We had a great omelet breakfast at church and afterward I just came back home. I was not hungry for lunch.

I read all afternoon and finished the second Caney book.

I will take it up to the library drop box later. It's 4:18PM now and I will take my bath at 7:00PM and plan to go to bed at 9:00PM.
