Saturday and Apartment Cleaning

I was up a couple of times in the night and finally just stayed up. I am reading my first book now and caught "the weather on the 8's". There were no cats out there when I opened the front door. It's 6:23AM now. Here the weather forecast for the week,

Today is to be 52 degrees and cloudy, tomorrow is to be 48 degrees and  cloudy, Monday is to be 56 degrees and partly cloudy, Tuesday is to be  61 degrees and sunny, Wednesday is to be 63 degrees and mostly sunny, Thursday is to be 64 degrees and partly cloudy, and Friday is to be 54 degrees and cloudy.

That's the week...no rain in the forecast this week. We really need rain too...or some kind of precipitation.

I have been reading all morning. It's 9:49AM now.

No cats have come for their breakfast this week, I think someone has taken them away. 

Friday and No Cats Yet

I was up fairly early, dressed and made my bed and got myself ready for the day. I have checked outside twice but no cats have come yet. It looks like the little white cat may have been in the box I set out there with a rug in it. The rug is messed up. I will check again soon. It's only 6:25 AM. 

I did catch "the weather on the 8's" and here it is.

Today is to be  68 degrees and partly cloudy, tomorrow is to be 54 degrees and  cloudy, Sunday is to be 50 degrees and cloudy, Monday is to be 53 degrees and partly cloudy, Tuesday is to be 61 degrees and sunny, Wednesday is to be 61 degrees and mostly sunny. Thursday is to be 61 degrees and partly cloudy. No rain in this week's forecast. And we could really use more rain.

Still no cats... and I finished reading the second book. I will take it to the Book Drop and take it back that way.

That's what I did and then I found out the Caney Library was closed. I decided to go to Independence and eat at either Dairy Queen or the pizza place there. I decided on the Pizza Place and I let Leslie know about the options.She was interested in the Pizza place and asked me to come pick her up and she would go with me. I did that and we each had a personal size pizza and she bought on "to go" for John too. It was good to have a nice visit with her.

Thursday and Laundry

I slept fairly well last night. I was up at 4:00AM just to drink some water and check my e-mail. My Outlook had not been working well this week but it seems to be working alright now.

I e-mailed  my friend and classmate,  Dean, this morning. He had been planning to come for his annual visit on Valentine's Day but I haven't heard from him in a time now. He has a heart problem and that may be the problem. 

It's early now but I am wide awake so I may just stay up.  I went to bed early last evening after reading awhile and having my bath, 

Only one cat came for a meal yesterday and that was the little white one. I had fed it before I went to Coffeyville for my hair appointment and Bunco and when I got home the little dish was gone. I looked around the neighborhood and found it broken up next door. I should l have stayed and waited until it was finished eating and taken the bowl in the house before I left. So I lost another cat bowl.

Maybe I will go out to Dollar General later today and buy another one. I also want to see if Sally would like to go to Copan for lunch. I will try calling her later this morning to ask her if she is interested in going there for lunch with me.

I am dressed and ready for the day. I also got "the weather on the 8's". Today is to be 69 degrees and mostly sunny and windy, to morrow is to be  69 degrees and partly cloudy, Saturday is to be 56 degrees and partly cloudy,  Sunday is to be 42 degrees and rain, Monday is to be 49 degrees and partly cloudy, Tuesday is to be  56 degrees and sunny and Wednesday is to be 59 degrees and mostly sunny.

That's the week!  One day of rain! And that's Sunday.

I folded and put away the dried laundry an hour ago before I went back to my book.

It's 8:47AM and I have been reading the books I checked out at the Caney Library a couple of days ago. I will take one of them back to the book drop in a little while.

No cats came for their breakfast today. That's pretty strange.

And Sally never answered her phone. She must have had other plans.

And the cats still haven't come for a meal. It's 3:07PM now too.

Wednesday and Bunco

 I was up early again this morning but had slept pretty well. I made my bed and got myself ready for the day. I checked out the front door but there were no cats out there yet. I did catch "the weather on the 8's".

Here it is:

Today is to be 64 degrees mostly cloudy, Thursday is to be 69 degrees and  partly cloudy and windy, Friday is to be 70 degrees partly cloudy, Saturday is to be 55 degrees and partly cloudy, Sunday is to be 43 degrees and showers, Monday is to be 52 degrees and mostly sunny, and Tuesday is to be 56 degrees and mostly sunny.

That's the week!  One day of rain and that's Sunday. We could sure use more. Lot's of cloudy days but only one day of rain!

I get my hair done today at 9:00AM and then this afternoon I have Bunco at the senior center at 1:00PM until 3:30PM.

More Later... 

Just as I was leaving, I noticed the little white cat was out front in the box with the rug in it. I parked and went back in and took her some food and  then came back in the house.

I went on to Coffeyville, went to the bank and got my hair done and then read in the car until time for Bunco. I played until 3:30PM and then came on back home.

I noticed the little cat's dish was gone and searched the yards. I found it in my neighbor's back yard and it was all broken up.  The cat must have drug it over there and messed with it until it broke. I put it in my trash.  I will go out to Dollar General and buy another one and I will not leave any of them out there when I will be gone.

Tuesday and Dairy Queen

 I was up at 5:00AM and had slept well. I was up only once in the night and got right back to sleep after I went back to bed. 

I dressed and got myself ready for the day.

I checked for cats when I got into the living room but none were out there yet. It's almost 7:00AM now.  I did catch "the weather on the 8's"

Today is to be 62 degrees and partly cloudy, Tomorrow is to be 62 degrees and cloudy, Thursday  is to be 69 degrees and partly cloudy and windy.  Friday is to be 66 degrees and mostly sunny, Saturday is to be 55 degrees and partly cloudy, Sunday is to be 47 degrees and rain and snow showers and Monday is to be  51 degrees and partly cloudy. That's the week! One day of rain and snow and that's Sunday.

I will call Sally later this morning and see if she wants to go to the Dairy Queen in Independence with me today for lunch.

The little grey cat came by and I fed it and the white one came by a little later and I fed it too.

I called Sally and she did want o go to the Dairy Queen for lunch. I picked her up at 11:50AM and we drove to Independence for that lunch. As usual it was great!

Then we went to Wall Mart there and she bought some half and half milk and I bought another coffee cake mix for next Sunday's church breakfast. 

Then I took her home and I went by the library to get two books. I wil watch the 5:30PM news and plan to take my bath at 7:00PM and got to bed at 9:00PM after I read awhile.

Monday and Reading

I was up about 5:00AM and made my bed, dressed and got myself ready for the day.I looked outside a couple of times but found no cats out there.

I warmed up some coffee cake and ate that and drank some Chai Latte.

And I did catch "the weather on the 8's".   

Today is to be 56 degrees and sunny. tomorrow is to be 61 degrees and mostly sunny, Wednesday is to be 61 degrees and cloudy, Thursday is to be 70 degrees and partly cloudy and windy, Friday is to be 65 degrees and sunny, Saturday is to be 61 degrees and partly cloudy....no rain this next week. 

First the little grey cat came for it's breakfast, ate and left. Then the white one came and I took it out some breakfast too. The other bowl was gone so I stepped out to look for it. It was about 8 feet away from the front door. I stepped out and took it in the apartment and cleaned it and left it out on the counter..

Sunday and Breakfast at Church

 I slept poorly last night, I woke up the second time at shortly before 5:00AM. I dressed and made my bed. I had set a box with a rug in it out front for one of the cats to use for a warmer bed. The little white cat was in there,  I am glad at least one of them was warmer. It is raining this morning and chilly. I also fed it.  It's the only one out there so far this morning.

I also made my coffee cake for the breakfast at church.  I had my Chai Latte and breakfast bar earlier here at home.

I also caught "the weather on the 8's". 

Today is to be 49 degrees and rain, Monday is to be 57 degrees and sunny, Tuesday is to be 61 degrees and mostly sunny,  Wednesday is to be 61 degrees and cloudy Thursday is to be 70 degrees and  partly cloudy and windy, Friday is to be 66 degrees and  sunny and Saturday is to be 61 degrees and partly cloudy. That's the week! Today is all the rain this week. We could sure use more.

More Later..

Karan and Leslie brought food for the breakfast too. Leslie had the communion service and did a fine job of it. After the service Phyllis and I went to Eggbert's and had the fruit parfait. It was, as usual, very good. We had a good visit too.

When I got home I went back to my book...the first of the two I checked out yesterday.
