Saturday and a Possible Funeral in Coffeyville at 11:00AM

I was up shortly before 5:00AM this morning and am finishing the second book. I will put it in the book drop later this morning. It's raining today. No cats around yet and because of the rain there may not be any.

I have had my two cups of Chai Latte and the breakfast bar.

I made my bed and got myself ready for the day. 

I also caught "the weather on the 8's".

Here it is. Today is to be 58 degrees and rain, tomorrow is to be 50 degrees and showers, Monday is to be 58 degrees and sunny, Tuesday is to be 61 degrees and partly cloudy, Wednesday is to be 62 degrees and cloudy, Thursday is to be 69 degrees and partly cloudy and windy, Friday is to be  62 degrees and mostly sunny. That's the week! Two days of rain... today and Sunday.

I did go to the funeral and saw Tom and spoke to him awhile..This is the second wife he's lost through death. Then I went to Eggbert's there and had their fruit parfait. Then I came on back home and have been reading again. I got two more books earlier this morning. It began to mist before I got back home.

Friday and An Early Spring

I slept well again last night and was up early and caught the little grey cat outside the front door. I fed it both dry and wet cat food and it ate most of the food and left. So far no other cats have showed up.

I had my own breakfast of chai Latte and a breakfast bar.

I even caught "the weather on the 8's". Here is the next week.

Today is to be 68 degrees and mostly sunny, Saturday is to be 57 degrees and rain, Sunday is to be 51 degrees and Showers. Monday is to be 58 degrees and partly cloudy, Tuesday is to be 62 degrees and partly cloudy, Wednesday is to be 63 degrees and cloudy, Thursday is to be  68 degrees and few showers and wind.  That's the week! Three days of rain! We can really use it! And furthermore, Phil did not see his shadow this morning so we have an early spring too.

I read awhile and checked my bank account too.  Nothing much new. 

More Even Later ...

The little white cat showed up for breakfast finally. I fed it too and then brought the dishes in the kitchen so they wouldn't disappear..

I went to Coffeyville and got  $50. out of my bank account for the week, went out to Walmart and took my recycled bottles in there and put them in their recycle container then bought more water.

I read awhile, until after lunch time and then drove down to Copan Restaurant  and had a sandwich and took home a piece of pie. I ate part of it when I got home.

Then I read the rest of the afternoon. It's 4:52 PM now. Closer to 7:00PM or 7:30PM, I will watch the news. and then take my bath.

Thursday and a Concert in Bartlesville

I slept well last night and was up shortly before 5:00AM, made my bed and got myself ready for the day.Sally and I will go to Bartlesville this evening to see "Mean Girls" at the Community Center there. Sally is going to drive. She will pick me up at 6:00PM this evening.

I opened the door to find no cats again this morning, It's the second day in a row they haven't shown up.  Hopefully they will later this morning, It's only 6:00AM.

Today is to be 69 degrees and AM clouds and PM sun, tomorrow is to be  68 degrees and partly cloudy, Saturday is to be 59 degrees and rain, Sunday is to be  52 degrees and light rain, Monday is to be 56 degrees and partly cloudy, Tuesday is to be 58 degrees and mostly sunny, and Wednesday is to be 60 degrees and mostly cloudy. That's the week. A weekend of rain...which we sorely need!

I did a load of laundry this morning. It's in the dryer now. I have my Chai Latte and a breakfast bar here and am eating my breakfast now too.

The little white cat finally came for breakfast and I fed it. It is eating now. It seems to be very hungry!

I finished the first of the two books I checked out earlier this week at the Caney Library. I took it up at the Caney book drop and dropped it in. 

Blondie finally came for his breakfast earlier this morning and even later, the little grey cat came and finished up what Blondie left,,,plus some of it's own..

Sally and I went out to Copan Restaurant and had soup and split a piece of German Chocolate pie. As usual  everything was very tasty.

Tom Benefiel, a classmate of mine, lost his wife, Maggie, last month. I had another classmates of mine call me for his Lawrence address so she could send him a sympathy card. Then Tom called me this morning to tell me about his loss. I told him about the phone call yesterday of another classmate wanting his Lawrence address.  I gave it to her. The funeral is Saturday at 11:00 AM at the Episcopal church in Coffeyville. I may attend it. My mother worked for his parents at a neighborhood grocery story when I was a child. This is the second wife he has lost.

 More Even Later..

I received the form from Prudential that I asked for weeks ago. It is to use the dividends from my Prudential policies to pay off a loan we made and took out years ago to buy a double wide trailer.  I don't think the dividends are enough to pay it all off but it will make a dent in it. I took the form out to Leslie, who used to be a Prudential manager and would be able to understand the Greek they use for those things, She filled it out for me and I signed it and mailed it off when I got back to Caney.

She told me the boil order was off for the Caney water. She read it on facebook. I don't read facebook...too much nonsense.

Sally will come by for me at 6:00PM and we will go to Bartlesville to attend that first concert of this season... "Mean Girls".

Now I will get back to that second book I checked out at the Caney library.

Wednesday and Hairdo Day

 I was up shortly before 5:00AM and got myself dressed and made my bed. I was getting a sweater out of the cedar chest  and the lid fell on my left arm. and that really hurt and it bled. Luckily, I had band aids. I got the bleeding stopped and got a bandied on it. Always something!

I opened the front door a couple of times but so far...no cats. I did catch "the weather on the 8's"

Today is to be 66 degrees and sunny, tomorrow is to be 67 degrees and 49 degrees later in the day and clouds PM, Friday is to be 62 degrees and cloudy, Saturday is to be 59 degrees and rain and Sunday is to be 54 degrees and rain, Monday is to be 56 degrees and partly cloudy, Tuesday is to be 54 degrees and partly cloudy.  That's the week! A couple of days of rain...Saturday and Sunday.

I never did see any cats. Strange!! They always come eventually. Not today...for some reason.

I went out to our Eggbert's and had a nice lunch. Then I came home and read on the latest books. That's about all I've done after I got back home.  

Oh yes, I worked on the classmates list of deceased classmates. I got another one back today. I also got one back yesterday.

I also stopped by the optometrist office and paid my bill.

I checked my e-mail and my bank account.  It's 1:26PM now.

Tuesday and a Warmer Day

I woke up at 5:00AM to the sound of a siren. It appeared to be coming from my phone right next to me on the dresser. I booted the phone and the sound was gone. That's a strange mystery!  Oh well, the sound was gone when the phone finished reloading. Weird!

I got up, made my bed, dressed and got myself ready for the day.

When I opened the front door that little grey cat was out there waiting for it's breakfast. I took it out to it. It is eating now.

Today is to be 62 degrees and sunny, tomorrow is to be 65 degrees and  sunny,  Thursday is to be 64 degrees and AM clouds and PM sun, Friday is to be 61 degrees and Showers, Saturday is to be 58 degrees and rain. Sunday is to be 53 degrees and showers and Monday is to be 53 degrees and partly cloudy. That's the week! Three days of rain...Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. We badly need it!

I called Sally and asked her to go to the Dairy Queen with me for lunch. She agreed and I picked her up and that's what we did,

Monday and Finally Apartment Cleaning

 I have put off the cleaning of my apartment for several days and today I need to get it done. I opened the front door this morning and saw the little grey cat waiting for his/her breakfast so I took it out to him/her. He/she ate and left. Soon the little white cat came and worked on that food too. It is still out there eating.

Today is to be  62 degrees and mainly sunny, tomorrow is to be  58 degrees and sunny, Wednesday is to be  60 degrees and sunny, Thursday is to be 58 degrees and AM clouds, PM sun, Friday is to be 64 degrees and mostly cloudy, Saturday is to be 54 degrees and rain, and Sunday is to be 47 degrees and AM showers. That's the week, A couple of days of rain and we need it! 

I was up before 5;00AM this morning and dressed and made my bed and got myself ready for the day! After awhile I will start my cleaning. I also want to go to Dollar General and get some more cat food. I am out of the wet food altogether. 

I have fixed myself some Chai Latte and a breakfast bar for my breakfast. The little white cat ate everything in the cat dish so I took it out some more dry cat food. I am out of wet cat food and when Dollar General opens I will go buy some more. Blondie may show up for breakfast and as I said, all I have is the dry cat food. Blondie prefers the wet cat food.

I suppose if he is hungry enough, he will have to eat dry cat food.

I called the bank about the 3 $50 charges on my back statement yesterday. I went to the bank Sunday morning to get my usual $50.00 a week spending money. I tried twice to get it and I never got anything the first two times. The third time I finally got the money. I looked at the statement last night and realized I had been charged for three $50. withdrawals  So I called the bank this morning and explained what had happened.The woman I talked to said they would take care of giving me only one $50. withdrawal. She said it would be a day or two before that showed up. I was so glad I spoke to her. 

It's 9:50AM now and I just finished cleaning the apartment. It shines now and I am charging the vacuum sweeper.

I am really tired too. I guess I will go back to my second book.

More Later...

I went to Copan Restaurant and had their prime rib sandwich. It was very good, The last time I was there last week, I had their beef vegetable soup and a piece of their German Chocolate pie. I cut it in half and had them bring me a box so I could take it home for later.

Later this afternoon, I ate that half piece of pie. As usual, it was delicious!

Then I read the rest of the afternoon. I did go out to Dollar General and buy more cat food. It was on sale and I got a real good deal. Five packages for $3.00. I bought 10 packages.

Then I read the rest of the afternoon. I see it's 54 degrees this evening.

I will go to bed at 9:00PM.

Sunday and a Church Dinner

 I was up pretty early this morning...a little before 5:00AM.  I made my bed, dressed and got myself ready for the day. Ted Tinsman will be our guest minister today and we will have a dinner after the service.

I have a pecan pie I will take. It was made by the Amish so it will be very good. I have had their pies before and they are always excellent!

I checked out the front door but it was too early for the cats. It's only 5:26AM  now. If they come at all, they will be along a little later. The temperature is 29 degrees now according to my computer.

Today is to be 54 degrees and partly cloudy,  tomorrow is to be 60 degrees and sunny, Tuesday is to be 54 degrees and partly cloudy. Wednesday is to be 53 degrees and mostly sunny, Thursday is to be 59 degrees and partly cloudy, and Friday is to be 55 degrees and mostly cloudy,,,Saturday is to be 53 degrees and showers.  Only one day of rain and that's next Saturday.

I am having my Chai Latte now and a breakfast bar for my breakfast.  I will leave for church about 10:00AM this morning. The sermon will be at 11:00AM with the dinner afterward.

The little white cat came after Blondie was here for his breakfast. I gave her/him a breakfast too.

I went over to Coffeyville to get some money from my bank. Then I went to Walmart there and got some groceries too. From there I went on to the church.

The church service was very good and so was the sermon. 

The dinner was good too.  Later I watched the Kansas City Chief's play Baltimore and the Chiefs won the playoff.  They will be playing in the Superbowl on February 11th now. 

Then I logged onto Zoom and watched the evening Zoom Church service. My daughter, Leslie, was the speaker and she did a good job..

It's bath time now, 6:30PM. so I had better get that done. I will read until bedtime after the bath.
