Saturday and Rummage Sale

I slept very well last night and was only up one time to take my two meds. I made my bed and dressed and got myself ready for the day.

I was up at 6:00AM..late for me.

When I opened the front door Blondie was waiting for his breakfast. I took it out to him and he ate and after he ate, that little black and white cat came and ate along with him. Last I saw, she was still eating.

I also caught "the weather on the 8's". It looks like there is rain in this week's forecast. Today is to be 88 degrees and sunny, tomorrow is to be 84 degrees sunny, Monday is to be 85 degrees and sunny, Tuesday is to be 81 degrees and scattered thunderstorms,  Wednesday is to be 75 degrees and showers, Thursday is to be 71 degrees and showers and and  Friday is to be 64 degrees and showers....so hooray! Three days, perhaps four days of rain in the forecast! It's about time!

I have to be at church at 9:00AM this morning for our rummage sale. It's 6:55AM now.  The sun will be in my face as I drive over there. I don't look forward to that!

I looked out front and now I have a little pure black cat eating our cat food. Soon it will get very expensive to feed these ferrel cats.

More Even Later... 

I left at 8:30AM now for the church. The sun was in my face all all the way. I held an envelope over the sun all the way to my turn off to go to the church. that kept most of the sun out of my eyes.

I got there at 9:00AM. 

We worked from 9:00AM until 4:00PM when we packed up our stuff and I started for home. I am very tired. I don't know why. We didn't have near as many customers as last Saturday. Leslie will let us know when she has a chance to count the money how much we made today.

More Even Later.. I heard from Leslie and we made $210.55 today and $627.99 last Saturday. For a total of $838.54 for the two Saturdays for the church.

 

Friday and Laundry

 I am doing a load of laundry this morning. It is in the dryer now. I slept pretty well last night and was only up once to take my two meds.

After I was up awhile and was watching for the weather, I noticed Blondie was waiting for his breakfast. So I fed him. After he had had his fill and left, that little black and white cat came to eat from what was left...the dry food.  I believe he is gone now. Soon the snow white cat may come. She (I believe it is a female) usually comes a little later.

I did catch "the weather on the 8's" though. Today is to be 85 degrees and sunny, tomorrow is to be 86 degrees and mostly sunny, Sunday is to be 82 degrees and mostly sunny, Monday is to be 86 degrees and mostly sunny, Tuesday is to be 79 degrees and PM showers, Wednesday is to be 75 degrees and scattered thunderstorms, and Thursday is to be 71 degrees and showers. That's the week! It looks like we may get some rain..perhaps three days of it! That would be great!

I will go check on the cats now.  It looks like all three of them came for their meal. They ate and I read until time to go to Independence to have Pizza.

I folded out my laundry and put it away. Then I took the second book to the library book drop and then left for Independence to have pizza.

Thursday and A Better Night's Sleep

 I slept better last night then I have in weeks. I don't know what the difference was but I am not complaining.

I have had my breakfast bar and coffee and am working on my Chai Latte. When I opened the front door this morning, Blondie was there waiting for his breakfast. He ate his fill and then a black and white cat came and finished off the dry cat food. I will need to get some more of that today. For one thing, The snow white cat has been coming to eat too lately. I am out of any but older dry cat food. I don''t know whether they will eat that or not. It may not have much flavor anymore. 

I did catch "the weather on the 8's" this morning. Today is to be 79 degrees and sunny, tomorrow is to be 84 degrees and sunny, Saturday is to be 81 degrees and partly cloudy,  Sunday is to be 78 degrees and partly cloudy, Monday is to be 84 degrees and mostly sunny, Tuesday is to be 81 degrees and isolated thunderstorms,and Wednesday is to be 72 degrees and showers. Maybe we will finally get some rain! We can sure use it!

More Later....It's 7:03AM now

I took my walk at 8:04AM and picked up some trash and when I got home, I put it in my trash container. I got home at 8:45AM.

I picked up Sally at a little past 11:45 AM and went to Independence for lunch at the Dairy Queen. As usual, it was very good. We had their $7:00 special with a hot fudge sundae for dessert. Sally bought my lunch this time.

When I got home I read all afternoon and finished my first book and took it to the drop box at the rear of the library. 

Then I started the second book. I took my bath at 7:00PM and got myself ready for bed. I will read until 9:00PM and go on to bed then.

Wednesday and Bunco

I had just got to sleep last night when about 9:00PM, Gay called me and woke me up out of a deep sleep. I don't sleep well anyhow and I never did got back to sleep. I finally just got up at 3:00AM. I even took some more Melatonin but that didn't help. She apologized but that didn't get me back to sleep. I tried to pass it off as no big deal. I told her I had Bunco today at the senior center but she had her yard cart that needed some work done on it and she had a neighbor man that thought she had no business driving clear to Coffeyville in a 20 plus year old car. He loaded her yard cart into his truck and drove  her down here after he left it in Chanute for the repairs. I assume he is having it repaired in Chanute. That's where they live. She wants me to take her out to the Country Club here for a lunch and wants to treat me to that. I assume the neighbor will be there too since he brought her down here. 

I told her I was committed to the Bunco at the senior center at 1:00PM until 3:30PM. But she wanted me to meet her at McDonald's in Coffeyville at 11:00AM to take me and the neighbor out to the Country Club for that dinner. I am going to beg out of the dinner. I am already committed for the afternoon. He has the truck he brought her down here in. And she knows the way to the Country Club. I assume she is having another class reunion there today.

I opened the front door  and saw Blondie waiting for his breakfast. The little white cat is out there too but I don't think Blondie is going to let her eat until he is finished.

Today is to be 79 degrees and partly cloudy, Thursday is to be 77 degrees and sunny, Friday is to be 84 degrees and sunny, Saturday is to be 80 degrees and mostly sunny,  Sunday is to be 77 degrees and partly cloudy, Monday is to be 81 degrees and mostly sunny, and Tuesday is to be 78 degrees and PM showers. We may get rain on Tuesday. I sure hope so!

More Later... 

It's 7:33AM and not only Blondie came for his breakfast but the new little  black and white cat came and ate too. Then after that one left, the snow white one came and she is eating now. I will wait until 8:00AM to leave for Coffeyville. I will need to get a treat at the market for my Bunco.treat. They don't open until 8:00AM. I could get one at the Coffeyville market, I guess. That way I can leave earlier. My hair appointment is at 9:00AM and the sun is very bright at this time of day.

I also need to drop by the bank and get some money for my hair. I did that and also had my hair done. I have my color and cut next Wednesday at 9:00AM.

Then I went up to the doctor's office and checked to see if the Caney Drug had reported my first shingles shot for my chart in the doctor's office in Coffeyville..They are going to call and check that out.

I waited in the parking lot at McDonald's for Gay. Then I took her out to the Country Club for her class reunion. One of her classmates was going to take her back to Chanute to her home.

Then I went to the senior center and read and then we played Bunco. I won the most mini Buncos. That was $2.00. Then I came back home.

When I got home I filled the cat's dish with the dry food again. 

I will try to go to bed early this evening. I was up this morning at 4:00AM....way too early.

Tuesday and Cookies to Independence

 I slept fairly well last night..better the usual at least . I was up at 5:00AM as usual too. I made my bed, dressed and got myself ready for the day.

When I open the front door Blondie was waiting for me to bring him his breakfast. So I got it ready and too it out to him. He is eating now and I am ready to have my coffee and breakfast bar.

I also caught "the weather on the 8's", Today is to be 73 degrees and sunny, Wednesday is to be 80 degrees and  partly cloudy, Thursday is to be 79 degrees and partly cloudy, Friday is to be 80 degrees and sunny, Saturday is to be 79 degrees and partly cloudy, Sunday is to be 80 degrees and partly cloudy and Monday is to be 83 degrees and mostly sunny...again...no rain. And we need it badly!

A little black and white cat came to eat what little food Blondie left. I had only seen it one time before. I haven't seen the pure white one yet this morning. 

I just got back from my morning mile walk. I left here at 8:00AM and got back home with a half a bag of trash at 8:30AM. I put it in my dumpster.

I am about to leave to take the cookies to Independence to the First Christian Church there. I went to Independence yesterday to get my hearing aide fixed. Then I bought the cookies and came on back home.

I wonder if I can get into my bank account today. Yesterday I had to use my laptop computer. The desktop computer would not access it.

Sure enough! I was able to use the desktop computer to access the account. I don't know what the problem was yesterday.

I took the cookies to the Christian Church and got back home fairly quickly. I called Sally and asked her if she would like to go to the Copan Restaurant for lunch. She did want to go. I will pick her up at 11:45. She may want to split a piece of pie with me...their German chocolate pie is delicious. They make them there.

The little white cat finally came to eat the dry cat food I put out for her. She is beautiful! She is all pure white.

She came back several times and I refilled the dish both times.

Sally and I had a real good lunch. We both had a cup of soup and then afterward we split a piece of German chocolate pie. It was great and so was the soup.

I have been reading ever since took Sally home and I got back home too. I am tired of it now. I put the book away I am not too interested in it at this point. It's 4:11PM now and at 7:00PM I will take my bath and probably read some more before I go to bed.

Monday and a Trip to Independence

I will have to go to Independence this morning to try to get the Starkey Hearing Aid woman there to fix my hearing aide. The soft part that goes into my ear came off the right one yesterday and I tried to get it back on but it wouldn't go back on.  There is a Starkey dealer in Independence and I will try to get her to help me with it. She did it once before when she demonstrated how to change out the rods that lead to the actual hearing part. She didn't really want to help me with it that time but she made an exception for one time. We got it from the man who has three offices in Tulsa during their Neighbors in Need promotion.But I am not comfortable driving in Tulsa any more. There's way too much traffic for me there and Leslie is way too busy to take me with all her responsibilities any more. I think that Independence office opens at 10:00AM. She is only in Independence two days a week..Monday and Tuesday. So I will have to catch her free and I will hope she will help me. Otherwise, I am down to one hearing aide. The left one.

I opened the door to find Blondie waiting for his breakfast and I got it for him and he is eating now. While I am in Independence, I will look for Chai Latte at their Walmart. They are no longer carrying it in the Coffeyville Walmart. I checked over the weekend again. They still are not carrying it.

Today is to be 68 degrees and sunny, tomorrow is to be 72 degrees  and sunny, Wednesday is to be 80 degrees and partly cloudy, Thursday is to be 75 degrees and partly cloudy, Friday is to be 78 degrees and sunny, Saturday is to be 81 degrees and sunny and Sunday is to be 78 degrees and mostly sunny. That's the week!! No rain again.

I will go see if Blondie is finished eating now. 

I see my bank is having technical difficulties again.  I couldn't get into it yesterday either.

Sunday and More Rummage Sale.

I slept somewhat better last night but was still up at 4:45AM, made my bed and also got myself ready for the day. Then I made up my coffeecake and it is in the oven now.

When I opened the front door Blondie was there waiting for his breakfast. I took it out to him and he is eating now.

I also caught "the weather on the 8's". Today is to be 61 degrees and with AM clouds and PM sun.  Tomorrow is to be 67 degrees and sunny, Tuesday is to be 72 degrees and sunny, Wednesday is to be 77 degrees and partly cloudy, Thursday is to be 79 degrees and partly cloudy, and Friday is to be 80 degrees and sunny. Again...no rain. And we are desperate for the moisture.

More Later..I will check on the coffeecake and also get it cooled and iced. I also covered it with plastic. I will leave for church about 9:00AM.

The small white cat came and ate the rest of the dry cat food Blondie had left.. She is gone now and Blondie is back eating the extra dry cat food I took out to him.

We are going to do the rummage sale again next Saturday. But we will start closer to 9:00AM. The first two hours yesterday we had no one come. It was 9:00AM before they started coming.
