Saturday and Breakfast

I picked up Bob this morning at 7:00 and we went to Eggberts for breakfast. When I got home, I took Missy out for an hour. She was so disappointed I left at 7:00, her usual time to go out, and went to breakfast, so when I got home at 7:50, I took her out. She was very good and enjoyed an hour outside.

I don't have a plan for today. I slept restlessly until 2:00 AM when I got up and took two Aleve with milk. Then I slept fine until 4:45.  The arm pain was considerable less.

More later...

It was another busy day. I baked cookies and ran errands. I went to the market and later Bob came over and watched TV. When he left I took my bath and sat with Missy until 10:00 and then I went to bed.

Friday at Last

I missed Thursday I was so busy. I cleaned the apartment really well. I still have to dust today. Then I cooked spaghetti for lunch and after Bob left I vacuumed the apartment. I did the floors while he was here reading the newspaper. I was very tired but still needed to go to the bank, the market and to get gasoline.

He didn't come over last evening. They had a cookout at Sycamore Landing, where he lives, and he attended it.

I slept pretty well last night. I have quite a time trying to find a position so my arm does not hurt. Off and on I awoke but finally did sleep each time. I got up at almost 5:00. After I had my breakfast, I took Missy out for a little over an hour. Bob will be over shortly to read the Reporter.

I will go on to exercise class this morning too. We will have leftover spaghetti for lunch with some garlic toast. I also have some applesauce ready to serve. We will have fruit and cookies for dessert.

More later...

I went to exercise class and then on to Utopia with several others. I had a Utopia special drink and brought the small one home and put it in the freezer for later.

It's time now to warm up the spaghetti for lunch so I'll get back to this later...

Scott posted this photo online last night.

That's the new swimming pool at night.

I didn't do a lot this afternoon. I was very tired. Bob came by in the evening and I popped some pop corn and we tried to watch a video I had rented. Neither of us were interested in it. He left early and I watched "Dateline" with Missy after my bath until 10:00 and then just went to bed.

Wednesday and a Huge Day

I slept fairly well last night. At 10:30 I awoke with my arm in pain. I got up and took two Aleve and then was able to get back to sleep. I was awake from time to time but did get some sleep.

This will be a huge day. First I will go to exercise class and then come home to fix lunch. We are having chicken tenders and potatoes and a veggie and Bob will bring his coleslaw. I have pudding and cookies for dessert.

I need to leave at 12:15 to get to Independence to pick up Juanita for our trip to Bartlesville to her doctor. She is going to have injections in her eyes to try to restore some of her vision.

Then I will take her home to Independence and get back to Coffeyville to attend the PINCH meeting at 5:30. I have told Marilyn I would take the agenda to her at exercise class. In case I am late, they can start without me.

More later...

And while I'm posting, take  a look at this.

What a racket! The pharmaceutical companies have a great racket in the USA !

Today was so huge that I never got back to finishing the blog.  I took Juanita to the doctor in Bartlesville and he did the lazor treatment on her right eye.  I never heard whether it helped or not. I imagine she would have called if it had helped.

I got back just in time to attend my PINCH meeting and it ran overtime until 7:00. When I got home I was exhausted and Bob did not come over so I went to bed early.

Tuesday and Hair Day and Cakes

I slept better last night but I also took a capsule of ZzzQuil. I awoke at 10:00 PM and again at 12:00AM and realized, I was in a familiar pattern of waking up every two hours, so I went to the bathroom and then took the capsule. I slept well until a little after 4:00 and I stayed in bed until nearly 5:00. I am dressed now and ready to go into the kitchen for my breakfast.

I decided last night not to go to the conference in Springfield that I had planned to take in with my daughter. That is the weekend of my friend, Gay's, 60th class reunion. This will be her first weekend away from her 98 year old mother in months. Her husband, Tony, has taken off to visit his daughter in Colorado Springs and her sister is there to stay with their mother.  She wants to stay here with me and attend her reunion and she wants me to go with her. Our friend, Karan, is planning to go with Leslie to Springfield so Leslie will not be making that long trip to Springfield by herself.  At this time, I feel Gay needs me the worst. So I have changed my plans. If anything else changes, I can go on to the Conference.

Today, I will pick up Bob at 8:20 and take the four cakes to Independence and then go get my hair done. We will eat lunch at Great China today.

Tomorrow I will go on to exercise class and then go to Independence and pick up Juanita to take her to Bartlesville to have some injections in her eyes to try to recover some of her sight. After I take her home, I will come home and later, at 5:30, go to the PINCH meeting. It will be a huge day.

More later....I will go get Missy's breakfast and my own.

We loaded up the cakes and headed for Independence to deliver them. Then I went to my hair appointment. Then Bob and I went to Walmart to do a little shopping there. Later we went to Great China and had lunch before we came on back to Coffeyville.

After I got back home,  I picked up a sack and went back to church to gather up the things I used for my worship center Sunday. I ran off some more lesson material for Sunday too.

When I got back home, I ran off two more copies of our congregational directory and took them to Karan's so she could sew them up when she has time.

Then I read the Reader's Digest and when Bob came he brought us some cherry limeade slushes from Sonic. They were good!

We watched the news and afterward Bob went home and I took my bath and got ready for bed.

This is one of the photos  I took while I was in Florida last week.

This is their covered patio and you can see the pool in the process of being finished in this photo.

Ginger's mom bought them the  table and chairs and they eat most of their meals out there.

Monday and Exercises

I slept somewhat better last night. The arm did not hurt as bad. I woke up several times but managed to get back to sleep until almost 5:00. Now I'm dressed and ready for the day. I put a small roast  in the slow cooker and that's what we'll have for lunch. I still need to peel some potatoes and go get some carrots  to add.

Missy has been troubling me to go outside and I finally had to give her a swat on the rump to quiet her down. She's subdued now. I don't usually do that. I think the only other time I have swatted her was the last time she bit me. She hasn't bit me since either.

I had quite a texting exchange with Scott last night. He and Ginger want me to come back down to see them. I agreed to go for two weeks in December around Christmas. I will go December 18th and stay until the 30th if that's alright with John and Leslie. They will keep Missy while I'm gone.

Scott wants me to consider coming down there to live with them. I don't think I'm quite ready for that yet. I will wait until Missy is gone and then consider having an auction and getting rid of my furniture and then I will have to go through all my stuff and take much of my older clothing to the Presbyterian church for those who are in need of them. I have a lot of stuff I want to keep. Perhaps Scott could fly up to Tulsa and come drive me and my car down to Florida loaded with my computers and the important stuff from my file cabinet. I would want my car. Yulee is rather a small town and I think I could be satisfied there.

More later...

I went to exercise class  and that worked out pretty well. Afterward, I took Bob home and went home myself to get some work done.

I had put my small roast in the slow cooker before exercise class and it was ready for the potatoes and carrots after the class. After lunch, I sent the leftovers back home with Bob. He will be on his own for lunch on Wednesday while I take Juanita to Bartlesville for the procedure on her eyes.  Then Wednesday night I will go to the PINCH meeting at the Presbyterian church.

I baked my cake for the Christian Church tomorrow and will take the four from Coffeyville up in the morning.

More even later....

I got the bill for my plumbing. It was $419,78. I nearly fainted. The sink was free, thanks for my friend, Cyndi.  But the installation was astronomical.  Live and Learn!

I picked up Phyllis' cake for tomorrow and Karan brought hers over.  Bob will bring his when I pick him up in the morning.

Bob is here. I'll get back to this later......

Bob stayed until 7:00 and when he left, I took my bath and sat with Missy for awhile before going to bed at 8:30.

Sunday and Church

I slept awful last night and finally just got up at 4:00. I dressed and started to bake my coffeecake. Then I took Missy out on the carport and we sat until the coffeecake was done. Then I made her come in so I could ice it. About 9:00 I went to pick up Bob for church and then Phyllis and Karan. After the services, we went to "Just Us" for lunch. I called our reservations in and Kay saved us a table. It's a good thing too because they were packed.

When we got back to Coffeyville I took the others home and then came home to do my newsletters. There was no newsletter last week since I was gone.

This afternoon, I took Missy back out for a little while but she wanted to wander off so I made her come back in.  I took some of the leftover coffeecake over to Marilyn R. I saved some for myself.

Bob will be over in an hour or so to watch 60 Minutes with me.

Marilyn L. called a little while ago to ask me to contact the PINCH group and tell them our next meeting is Wednesday evening. I think that group has finally outlived itself. The last meeting we had was in June and there were three of us there. In July three were sick and so we had to call off the meeting. They were the secretary and the calling committee. The treasurer didn't show. They cancelled the August meeting too because Carol was very badly ill and Alfonso was too. Paul was unavailable.  They changed his dialysis days when he was in the hospital in July.

So  more later...

I notified everyone whose e-mail I had and now we'll just have to wait and see what happens.

Bob came over after 5:00 and read the paper and stayed until after 60 Minutes. When he went home I took my bath and Missy and I sat in the recliner. I was going to watch some TV but fell asleep in the recliner and finally she and I just went to bed.
