Saturday and Apartment Cleaning

 I slept pretty well last night and was only up once to take my meds. I was up before 5:00AM. dressed, made my bed and got myself ready for the day. 

I checked twice for Blondie but he hasn't showed up yet. I have had my breakfast bar and some of my coffee. 

I also caught "the weather on the 8's". Today will be another scorcher!

Today is to be 94 degrees and sunny, tomorrow is to be 96 degrees and mostly sunny, Monday is to be 96 degrees and partly cloudy, Tuesday is to be 98 degrees and partly cloudy, Wednesday is to be 98 degrees and mostly sunny, Thursday is to be 99 degrees and sunny and Friday is to be 100 degrees and sunny.

Very hot..and no rain in the forecast. Over the week, the temperature goes from 94 degrees to 100 degrees.

Monday is Labor Day and undoubtedly, it will be very hot at 96  degrees.

I will go check for Blondie again. It's 6:00AM and he may be out there now. More Later...

Blondie was out front waiting for me to open the door and see him waiting for his breakfast. I fed him and when he was finished, I put the dish back in the garage and covered it again.

Then I took my walk at 6:45AM. It's 7:15AM now and I am back...obviously. I found some trash...not a lot but enough to tie up the sack and drop it into my dumpster.

I cleaned up the leaves from my neighbor's tree this morning.

It's a nice cool morning at this point. But it's supposed to get up to 94 degrees this morning. It's 59 degrees now and clear....and nice.

More Later...I had better get my cleaning done.

I got the cleaning done and called Sally to see if she wanted to go to lunch. She did! I picked her up at noon and we went to Gabbies for lunch. Then afterward I took her home and came home.  I had my City of Caney bill and once again, it was higher. So was my Evergy bill. It was $50.00 higher then last month.

I checked my back yard gain and sure enough, more leaves from my neighbor's tree. I went out and cleaned them up again. 

But it was time for the Ohio State football game. They won,  

After I read awhile, I took my bath at 9:00PM and put my pajamas on and went back to the book again. I will go to bed at 8:00PM or thereabouts.

 

Friday and Apartment Cleaning on Saturday

 I slept well last night and was up at my usual 5:00AM. I fixed my coffee and am going to fit my Chai as soon as I finish this.

I caught Blondie waiting by my front door for his breakfast. I took it out to him and he ate his fill and left. I have had my breakfast bar and coffee. 

I even caught "the weather on the 8's".

Today is to be 92 degrees and sunny, tomorrow is to be 94 degrees and sunny, Sunday is to be 95 degrees and mostly sunny, Monday is to be 96 degrees and mostly sunny, Tuesday is to be 97 degrees and mostly sunny, Wednesday  is to be 96 degrees and partly cloudy, and Thursday is to be 97 degrees and sunny.

That's it! A hot week with no rain at all in the forecast. 

I took my walk at 7:05 and got back at 7:45AM. I got very little trash today.What I did get, I put in my dumpster.

I have been reading all morning and it's noon now.  I think I will go to Independence and have lunch at the Dairy Queen. I will leave the last book Denise gave me in the book drop here in Caney. It's 83 degrees here now. And it's 12:02 PM.

It's 6:31PM and I have been reading all afternoon.  At 7:00PM, I will take my bath and get back to my current book. It's 89 degrees and sunny this evening.  

I got a pitcher of water and watered my little flowerbed at the mailbox. Then I used the same pitcher.and watered the slightly larger one in the back yard.

Thursday and a Trip to See Nancy

 I was up shortly before 5:00AM this morning, made my bed, dressed and got myself ready for the day. I turned on the TV and caught "the weather on the 8's" after awhile. I opened the front door and found Blondie waiting for me to get his breakfast. I took it out to him and he is eating now. 

This is the week's weather. Today is to be 89 degrees and sunny, tomorrow is to be 91 degrees and sunny, Saturday is to be 92 degrees and sunny, Sunday is to be 95 degrees and sunny, Monday is to be 96 degrees and partly cloudy, Tuesday is to be 98 degrees and Mostly sunny, and Wednesday is to be 96 degrees and Partly cloudy. That;s the week...no rain again..just lots of hot weather. Of course, nothing in the 100's forecast.

More Later... 

I took my walk at 7:55AM and got back home at 8:27AM.  It's another lovely day...so far. I picked up a full bag of trash this time, tied the bag up and put it in my dumpster.

 Then I will go see Nancy. 

Nancy has been moved to the 1st floor. That's for folks that are very confused. I went down to see her but she couldn't visit with me because she couldn't stay awake long enough. The nurse suggested we go out on their nice patio in back and we did that. Nancy could only walk with her walker. Then she was so confused she could only sit and nod off. I stayed as long as I could but she could not stay awake. Finally I told her I would come back next Thursday. She didn't object...she was too disoriented. She is a lot worse. Her blood pressure was 189/79..way too high! Finally I told her I would come back next Thursday and bring the Chronicles for her to read.. She didn't object. So I left.

I then called Sally to see if she wanted to go to lunch and she did so I drove down to Copan and we had their special that day.

Then I took Sally home. Then I went to the drug store to see if they would refill my meds for the shingles. They said I would have to see the physician's assistant that ordered it initially. So I had to make another  trip to Coffeyville to let Stacie take a look at it. Then she reordered the med. The shingles is better... but not gone yet.

I picked it up at Caney Drug. Then I took 4 quarters and bought a Chronicle for Nancy next week.

It's 7:06PM on my smart watch. It's 7:23PM on my computer. My computer is smarter then my smart watch.

I have just had my bath and put my pajamas on and will read in my Reader's Digest Condensed book now. I have had it for the better part of a month but I have had Denise's books to read and I have one more of those to read too. 

Wednesday and a Haircut

I slept well last night and was up at my usual 5:00AM. I dressed, made my bed and got myself ready for the day. 

I have watching the devastation of the hurricane in Florida on TV. I finally got our local forecast. . I will post it here and then I need to take my walk. 

Today is to be 90 degrees and sunny, tomorrow is to be 88 degrees and sunny, Friday is to be 90 degrees and sunny, Saturday is to be 96 degrees and sunny, Sunday is to be 96 degrees and sunny, Monday is to be 97 degrees and sunny, and Tuesday is to be 98 degrees and mostly sunny. That's it for the week...hot and sunny....no rain. Only one day under the 90's and that's Thursday.

More later...I want to take my walk before I have to leave for Coffeyville. 

I got back from my walk at 8:00AM and had very little trash in my sack. It's been a lovely day yesterday and I expected more. But I am happy with less.

Now I am going to leave for Coffeyville and my color and cut.

I will get back to this after that. I also want to go to Walmart there and get some Chai Latte and some moist cat food for Blondie.. I only have one left of the Chai and only two left of moist cat food. 

I will need to check my cash and make sure I have enough for my color and cut.

I withdrew another $50.00 just to have some cash on hand for the week. Then I had my hair colored and cut. I went out to Walmart to get a few things I was out of. They did not have the Chai Latte in the single packs. They did not order any of that. I was disappointed  but I will check at the Bartlesville Wal Mart when I go down tomorrow to see Nancy. If I can get it there..I will.. but if not I may have to order it straight from the company. Leslie does that.

I will go out to Sonic and buy the kid's Wacky Pack for my lunch. 

That was a reduced price on Wednesdays although last time I ordered it, they had raised the price a nickle. I will see how it is today, More Later..

They wanted $2.10 this time. I paid it and even gave a tip.

It's 4:43PM now and I have been reading all afternoon. I may call Sally and see if she wants to go eat somewhere. 

She must be in Bartlesville or with someone else. She didn't answer the phone. I really am not hungry. I was thinking of a salad at Copan. But I really am not that hungry. 

When I go to Bartlesville tomorrow, I will go to their Walmart and see if I can find my Chai Latte. Coffeyville didn't have any and were not going to order any more either. That's a mistake. I am sure they sold plenty of it. I always had a hard time finding it there. It was usually on a top shelf.

Hopefully I can find it at the Walmart in Bartlesville. More Later...

Tuesday and Laundry

I was up at almost 5:00AM this morning. I stripped my bed and did my towels and pajamas and got myself ready for the day. It took awhile for Blondie to come but he finally did. I fed him and he ate his fill and left. Then I put his dish in the garage and covered it as usual.

It took until almost 7:30 before they ran "the weather on the 8's" . They are obsessed with this new hurricane and that's all they are talking about. Idalia I think it is called.

But at almost 7:30AM I finally got the weather report for the next week 

Today is to be 91 degrees and Mostly sunny, Tomorrow is to be 90 degrees and  sunny, Thursday is to be 88 degrees and sunny, Friday is to be 91 degrees and sunny, Saturday is to be 94 degrees and sunny, Sunday is to be 96 degrees and sunny, and Monday is to be 98 degrees and sunny...a sunny week with no moisture at all. And we badly need moisture.

I did my laundry....the sheets from the bed, the towels and my pajamas. Got it all dried and put it back on my bed. That always seems like such a hassle. I only do it every three weeks.

I am going to take my walk now. I texted "good morning" to Esther but she hasn't answered me.They may be tourist things now. It's afternoon in Germany. And it's 7:31 AM here.

She did answer me before I even took my walk. Maybe she was busy in the kitchen or something like that.

I got back from my walk at 8:26AM. I picked up a half a bag of trash today. That's more then the last few times. I put the bag in my dumpster.

I got a telephone call from Quality Paint and Body and the woman was answering my message I left on Scott Mill's phone yesterday. She encouraged me to come back up anytime and Scott would take care of my problem. I asked her if now was alright and she said Yes. So  went on up and Scott took care of the problem on my driver's side front body. He put some kind of super glue on it, had me wait 5 minutes until it was set and then said it would be fine to drive. I asked him how much I owed him and he said "nothing".  He has worked on that area three times and never charged me a cent.

I dropped by Leslie's on my way home and was going to show it to her but she was not home. She was in Independence. I just missed her.

When I got home, I called Sally and asked her if she wanted to go to lunch and she said that sounded good to her. I offered her three options, The Independence pizza place, Dairy Queen up there or Copan Restaurant. She said "How about the fish place." I hadn't been there since Dean and I ate there and the fish was overcooked and tough. But I was willing to give then another try for Sally. So that 's where we are going. I am to pick her up at 11:40AM and it's 11:25AM  now. That's 15 minutes from now. So, back to Independence again. It's only 20 minutes so I can handle that. My only real expense is my utilities, gasoline and food. So I can handle that too.

I picked up Sally and we went back to Independence to the fish place, This time the fish was good. We had coleslaw with it. I get the child's Sally also uses the child's menu. Any of the regular adult selections were way too much food for both of us. .

After we ate we went to a place up there that had all kinds of great old stuff. I forget the name but it was the place where I saw a mantle clock just like the one my grandmother had that Bob Avery gave me when my sister, Phyllis, died. I am leaving it to Keith when I am gone.

I was reading this afternoon until bath time. I will take my bath at 8;00PM and read on my latest book until 9:00PM when I ordinarily go to bed.

 

Monday and No plan

 I slept fairly well last night but was up once in the night and took my two meds. Then I was wide awake at 4:00AM. I finally just got up.

I made my bed and got myself ready for the day.  I haven't seen Blondie yet but I did catch "the weather on the 8's"and will post it here as usual.

Today is to be 85 degrees and mostly sunny, tomorrow is to be  92 degrees and mostly sunny, Wednesday is to be 88 degrees and sunny, Thursday is to be 90 degrees and sunny, Friday is to be 91 degrees and sunny, Saturday is to be 95 degrees and sunny, and Sunday is to be 97 degrees and sunny....no rain next week...just lots of hot weather...but still..nothing in the 100's.  Sunday comes close.

I will go check on Blondie again. 

Blondie finally came for his breakfast at 6:30AM. I took it out to him and he is eating now. He has both wet cat food and dry cat food and he usually eats some of both....mostly the wet though. He really likes that. It's more expensive but he's the only cat I am feeding now. I can afford it.

I just got back from taking my walk. I donated another book that Denise gave me and put it in the drop box  at the library here. I had picked up a half a bag of trash too. I set my dumpster out to the curb. Then I noticed Stephen had a little trash in his dumpster so I set it out to the curb too.

The trash people came and emptied our trash and I put our dumpsters back where we keep them on the drive between our garage doors. 

Then later after I had read awhile, I called Leslie to see if she wanted to go get a blizzard. She didn't...but John had gone into Coffeyville to get a pizza and she invited me to come out for a piece or two.  

So that's what I did. They had had kiki spayed last Wednesday and she will get her stitches out this Thursday. She was a good mama once the pups were out but she wouldn't push to help them out and the last litter she had, three of them couldn't come out since she didn't push, they died. So they weren't going to put her through that again and so they had her spayed.

We gave Mini and Kiki our crusts and they loved that.

After awhile I left. I wanted Scott Mills at Quality Motors to put those clips back in my front fender so it would not come out again but when I called him from Independents, he was with a customer. I asked him to call me back and told the recording machine what I wanted but when I was going to leave town and stopped at Miller Brothers to get gas, he still hadn't called me back. I just decided to go back home. The sun was low in the sky and blinding me and it wasn't going to get any better so I just came on home.

The charger was finished charging the edger so I put it back in the edger and tested it to see if it was fully charged...and it was. I will finish the odds and ends I didn't get finished but will do it tomorrow.

I had my nice hot bath at 7:15PM or so and put my pajamas on and will read until 9:00PM or so and then go on to bed. I want to change my bedding and wash it tomorrow.

Sunday and Church

 I was up at 4:00AM this morning with pain in my left arm. I just couldn't sleep with that. I got  up and made my bed and got myself ready for the day. I wanted to watch "the weather on the 8's" but the weather channel was talking about another upcoming hurricane for Florida. They didn't even show any local weather. At 5:16AM, I came into the den and started working on this blog. I will go back in the living room and see if I can find the weather forecast for local.

Sure enough...this time I managed to see the local weather forecast "the weather on the 8's"

The next week will be a little cooler. Today is to be 87 degrees and partly cloudy, tomorrow is to be 86 degrees and sunny, Tuesday is to be  90 degrees and mostly sunny, Wednesday is to be 90 degrees and sunny, Thursday is to be 91 degrees and mostly sunny, Friday is to be 94 degrees and sunny and Saturday is to be 97 degrees and sunny. Nothing in the 100's this next week. 

Hopefully Mike will mow today. The yard grass is getting really high. I could do it myself since it is 71 degrees now and there is a nice breeze. But Leslie would not like me to do that. She would be upset.

Now I had better get the coffee cake going. 

I got the coffeecake finished and the glaze put on it and then I started my walk. There was a nice cool breeze so I really enjoyed it. I took off at 7:05AM and got back at 7:35AM. About 9:00AM or 9:30AM, I will start for the church. The breakfast is at 10:00AM and the worship at 11:00AM. Kelly will be operating the computer with the hymns and the theme for the day. I think Karan will be the speaker. 

Leslie should be back sometime today. She is in Independence Missouri at a leadership meeting of some kind. She has been there since Friday.

Mike came at 8:00AM and is mowing for me now. He told me he was a classmate of Keith's in high school. He is 67 years old too.

I am so happy it  is a nice mild day and  there is a nice breeze.

I just got home from church/Eggbert's. I had lunch with Phyllis. Karan was going to have lunch with John after he delivered the angel painting to Denise.  I was going  to have lunch at Penny's but Phyllis wasn't interested. They don't have menus and Phyllis doesn't carry a cell phone where the bar code could be scanned. She just wanted to go to Eggbert's where she could get the parfait she enjoys. It didn't matter to me where we ate.

We have no church over the Labor Day holiday. I will go locally here again.

I watched the Mission Center worship Service this evening. At 8:00PM, I will take my bath and put my pajamas on. Then at 9:00PM, I will go to bed. I have been up since 4:00AM.
