Saturday and Hungry Cats

 I was up at 5:00AM this morning and dressed, made my bed and had my breakfast bar. 

Both Grey and Blondie came for their breakfasts. I had to make Blondie share because Grey was very hungry.. 

I have had my breakfast bar and found "the weather on the 8's:" right away.Today is 71 degrees and showers in the forecast. Tomorrow is to be 65 degrees Rain and Thunderstorms. Monday is to be 81 degrees and  Cloudy. Tuesday is to be 83 degrees and partly cloudy. Wednesday is to be 81 degrees and Scattered Thunderstorms, Thursday is to be 76 degrees and partly cloudy. Friday is to be 72 degrees and partly cloudy. That's the week. I didn't get the west side of my yard mowed yesterday so I will have to wait for an opportunity to do it when it doesn't rain.

Whitey finally came for his/her breakfast but all I had was dry cat food and that's all I will have until the Dollar General store opens at 8:00AM and it's only 6:13AM now. So it will be awhile.

I am concerned that I may run over a nail from yesterday's roofing job and have a flat tire. That has happened in the past when I have had to have a new roof.

Friday and AM Clouds and PM Sun

Today is to be a mixture of clouds and sun. I am ready for sun and tired of clouds. Grey has come for is breakfast, has eaten and left. I was up very early. I awoke a little after 3:30AM, finally just gave up and dressed and got up. I have had my breakfast bar and Chai Latte.

I am reading again on the first of the books I got at the library yesterday.

I also saw "the weather on the 8's" . Here it is.

Today is to be 79 degrees and AM clouds and PM sun. Saturday is to be 74 degrees and thunderstorms, Sunday is to be 70 degrees and thunderstorms, Monday is to be 79 degrees and Scattered thunderstorms, Tuesday is to be 83 degrees and partly cloudy,Wednesday is to be 78 degrees and scattered thunderstorms, and Thursday is to be 75 degrees and partly cloudy.

It looks like the best time to try to mow might be today or next Tuesday or Thursday. I'll just have to play it by ear. The rest of the week is thunderstorms.

 I thought the roofers would be here by 7:30 but they were earlier later then that. They came at 6:23AM They did get it all done and it looks very good. They started cleaning up their mess at 9:28AM  and cleaned while they worked. They even locked my door while I was at lunch.

I went to the Dairy Queen in Independence for lunch...their $7.00 special.  It's always good. I had to go by myself. I tried to call Sally to get her to go too. But even though I tried two different times. Her voice mail was on and she didn't get back to me even though I left her a message.

I did mow the back yard this afternoon and even trimmed it.That just leaves me the west side yard and that's the big one. Maybe I can mow the west side Tuesday or Thursday. There's no rain forecast for those two days.

I took my bath at 6:00PM. I was very sweaty after mowing. It's 6:26 PM now.

Thursday and a Trip to the Library

I slept well last night for a change. I was up at 6:00AM, ate my breakfast bar and drank my Chai Latte. Then I went to Dollar General  for some more cat food..the wet type they prefer.. and some ice cream. 

The man with the shingles came and unloaded them.  Then I went to the library for two more Nora Roberts books. I parked out front on the street when I got home.

I also  caught "the weather on the 8's".

Today is to be 71 degrees and Thunderstorms,  Friday is to be 80 degrees and mainly sunny. Saturday is to be 75 degrees and  Thunderstorms Sunday is to be 70 degrees and Thunderstorms, and 

Monday is to be 81 degrees and  scattered Thunderstorms Tuesday is to be 83 degrees and AM Thunderstorms, and Wednesday is to be 83 degrees and partly cloudy. That's  the week! Five days of rain. One of mostly sunny and one partly cloudy.

Blondie was out front when I opened the front door. When she finished eating, Whitey came for her/his breakfast and when she/he finished I brought the food back in the apartment and covered it and put it in the frig.

Wednesday and Bunco

I was up early as usual and dressed, made my bed and got myself ready for the day. When I opened the front door Grey was out there waiting for his breakfast so I took it out to him and he is eating now.

I am doing a load of laundry now too. It's been awhile since I did that.

I also caught "the weather on the 8's" and here it is.

It's 79 degrees today and scattered thunderstorms, Tomorrow is 73 degrees and Thunderstorms, Friday is  80 degrees and partly cloudy and Saturday is 75 degrees and thunderstorms, and Sunday is 73 degrees and Thunderstorms,Monday is 79 degrees and scattered thunderstorms an wind, and Tuesday is 83 degrees and sunny. That's the week...a week of thunderstorms except for Friday and Tuesday. 

It will be a mess! I don't know when I will mow. It will be very wet.

Grey was gone and now Whitey was out there waiting for her/his breakfast so I took it out to her/him.  After he/she ate and left, I left for Coffeyville and my hair do and Bunco.

Later I went to visit my friend Marilyn and stayed awhile. I took her my leftover donuts.She likes them with her coffee in the morning.

More Even Later... 

Then I came on home. I took my second library book to the book drop at the library.

 Then I noticed my front yard was looking a little ragged so I got my mower out, put gas in it and mowed the front. It was dry but it may not be the rest of the week.

I had done some laundry before I left and put it in the dryer. Then this evening I put it all away.

I fed Whitey some more wet cat food.  And later fed Blondie some too.

I got a text from Stephen about our roof project. It has been moved up to  this Friday May 3rd. Roofers will be here Friday morning early to do the roof. He figures it will be noisy and they will block the driveway with a waste trailer so he suggests I park in the street Friday so I can come and go as I want. He thinks they will be here about 7:00AM. He says I don't have to leave but if I don't want to get  blocked in the garage, I will need to park in the street. 

So I will do that.

Tuesday and mowing finished

 I was up early as usual. I waited until Blondie came for his breakfast and then fed him some of the new wet cat food. He ate his fill and I brought the food back in the kitchen and covered it.

After he finished eating Whitey came for her/his breakfast too. He/she ate their fill and I brought the dish back in again.

Finally I saw the "weather on the 8's" and here it is. 

Today is to be 84 degrees and sunny and windy , Wednesday is to be 81 degrees and AM thunderstorms, Thursday is to be 76 degrees and Thunderstorms,  Friday is to be 77 degrees and partly cloudy, Saturday is to be 64 degrees and scattered thunderstorms, Sunday is to be 74 degrees and scattered Thunderstorms and Monday is to be 81 degrees and mostly cloudy. That's the week! Four days of rain! That's a lot and I am not sure I will find a free day to mow again.

I have been reading again. I will get back to it.

I had my two cups of Chai Latte and a breakfast bar myself.

I went up to Independence to Big Cheese and had my lunch at 11:00AM.

 Afterward, I got gas and came on back home. No rain yet.

I have read all afternoon.

Monday and More Reading

 I was up early again this morning. I haven't checked for cats yet. I had my coffeecake and  Chai Latte and even caught "the weather on the 8's'. When I finish here I will check for the cats.

Today is to be 78 degrees and sunny, Tuesday is to be 83 degrees and sunny and windy,  Wednesday is to be 84 degrees and partly cloudy, Thursday is to be 73 degrees and Thunderstorms and Friday is to be 74 degrees and partly cloudy, Saturday is to be  75 degrees and scattered thunderstorms, Sunday is to be 76 degrees and scattered Thunderstorms, So three days of thunderstorms..Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday. So I will need to mow Tuesday, Wednesday or Friday this week.

I went out to Copan Restaurant for lunch and and my usual cup of Beef Vegetable soup and German Chocolate pie and iced tea..

I got my west yard mowed this afternoon. It was plenty hot but that's all I had to mow. The front and back were already mowed. And I cleaned up the mess the kids made again this morning.

The only cat I saw today was Whitey. I fed her twice and then I went out to Dollar General and bought some more cat food...wet cat food. I had plenty of dry cat food.

Now back to my book, It is 7:48PM. I have been reading most of the evening and have just had my bath. I will go to bed after Blondie leaves. He finally came for a meal after all day. It looks like he has been fighting, He has some damage to his ear area.

Whitey has been here for a meal several times today.  I haven't seen Grey all day..

Sunday and A Mess

I just looked out front and saw the Sycamore tree in my front yard has split right down the middle and a huge limb of it is laying in my front yard. And I had just mowed yesterday. I texted Stephen about it. I don't know when he can get it picked up. I hope he knows someone that can use it for firewood. It's always something.

I opened the front door and Blondie was there waiting for his breakfast. As soon as he finished, Whitey came wanting his/her breakfast too. So I fixed Whitey a dish too.

Today is to be 73 degrees and scattered thunderstorms,  tomorrow is to be 79 degrees and sunny, Tuesday is to be 85 degrees and mostly sunny, Wednesday is to be 83 degrees and isolated thunderstorms, Thursday is to be 73 degrees and Thunderstorms, Friday is to be 70 degrees and partly cloudy and Saturday is to be 75 degrees and mostly sunny, So it looks like three days of rain in the next week.
