Saturday and Breakfast at Eggberts

I will pick up Bob this morning to go to breakfast at Eggberts. We have decided that Eggberts has a breakfast with more variety and is also cheaper then Sirloin Stockade.

I slept well last night. My right arm barely ached. I did wake up several times but got right back to sleep.

Missy twice vomited up some of her breakfast this morning. She must have eaten too fast. I picked it up with a paper towel and then got my Resolve and cleaned the carpet where she did it. I hope this is not something I will have to deal with more as she gets older.

She thinks I am going to take her outside at 7:00. She will have to wait. I will be picking up Bob at 7:00 instead. When I get back home, I will take her out awhile.

More later....

I am back from breakfast now. It was good. I took Bob home and went to get gas. Missy is evidently not feeling all that well. She is not fussing to go outside. It is chilly out there this morning but that usually wouldn't matter to her.  I may go up to Independence and check out the Goody's sale today...not that I need anything. I will not have to cook lunch since Bob and I had such a big breakfast.

More later...

This afternoon, I went to Independence to check out Goody's sale. There wasn't anything I needed there.  I was going to go to Bartlesville to the Christopher and banks sale but I stopped at the church on the way back and discovered I am presiding tomorrow morning.  So I came home and planned the service instead and then went back out to church to print off the program and put up the worship setting.

Now I feel more prepared. I am so glad I discovered that before tomorrow morning or I really would have been embarrassed.

More later...

Bob came over this evening and we watched some TV news and then he went home. I took my bath and after that I went to bed.

Friday and Exercises

I slept pretty well last night even though I woke up several times. My right arm just barely hurt and I didn't take anything for it last night.

I went to the pharmacy yesterday afternoon and had Chris print off a copy of all the antibiotics I had taken since 2013. I had taken six over the years. Three were for the erysipelas in 2013. One of those, I know, gave me muscle and tendon pain. That was the Minocycline Dr. Gillis had prescribed after the Doxycycline Dr. Christiansen prescribed at the emergency room didn't clear it up.  It took Dr. Eslicker to diagnose it correctly as erysipelas and give me a prescription for Cephalexin, which finally cleared it up.  Dr. Christiansen called it cellulitis. It took me months of exercise to work out the damage that Minocycline gave me in both arms. The second one was in March this year and was Nitrofurant that Dr. Robins in the emergency room had prescribed for the urinary tract infection. I don't know whether it was that one responsible for my most recent problem with the shoulder joint and arm pain or if it was the Cefuroxime prescribed by the Dr. Weil at the urgent care in in June. That one also broke me out with an itchy rash. She had me discontinue it over that. And that's when the pain began. I just have problems with some antibiotics.

I also have a hard time with pain relievers. They make me vomit. I hope I never get sick and have bad pain. I don't know what I would take.

Bob just texted me about exercise class.

More later...

We went to exercise class and afterward to Utopia where Karan and I had the special frozen drink they make and I had one of their cinnamon rolls too. It was raining when we left and Karan got soaked on her scooter.

When I got home I did some laundry and changed my bed.  Later, I warmed up the hamburger pie and we had that and Bob's salad for lunch. He went home to take his nap afterward.

I went to V & S Variety and rented a movie. It was the one Leslie and I wanted to see last year in Springfield and it didn't start until 11:30 PM. We had the Conference the next day so we passed on the movie. It was "Bridge of Spies". Bob and I watched it after we watched Brooks and Shields on PBS. I have to return it this morning. It was another good Tom Hanks movie.

When he left I took my bath and went to bed. Missy was mad there was no sitting in the recliner on my lap. As I was heading toward bed, she reached out and scratched me on my left foot. Angry spoiled cat!

Thursday and a Movie

I slept poorly again last night. At 11:00 I got up and took two Aleve but they didn't help much. I was awake about every hour on the hour trying to get comfortable. My arm and shoulder ached constantly and the Aleve just barely took the edge off of it.

I looked up the antibiotic on the internet that I took in June for the urinary track infection (or whatever it was) and one of it's side effects is ligament and tendon damage. That's the time all this started. It also broke me out in a rash that itched at the time. I went back to the Urgent Care and she told me to stop taking it. That's two of those antibiotics that cause me ligament and tendon damage. It took me months to exercise out the damage the last time I took an antibiotic in 2013 when I had the erysipelas on my face.

Bob and I are going to go see "Sully" this afternoon in Independence. It's on there too and they have just redecorated the theater.  That should make it closer since Independence is only about 20 minutes away and Bartlesville is almost an hour. We will take in the 4:30 movie.I asked Karan to go too. I will pick Bob up first and then we will go get Karan at 3:45.

Missy and I went outside about 7:00 after we had our breakfasts and stayed out until 7:45. She really enjoyed that. It had rained really hard last night about the time I went to bed.

More later....

We really enjoyed the movie and the Independence theater has completely redecorated and even has leather reclining seats. Cool!  I enjoyed it just as much the second time and both Bob and Karan did too. We got out about 6:30 and even got home long before dark. I understand the first weekend it was released this movie made 45.5 million. It nearest competitor made 12 million.

Bob didn't come over this evening. he had missed his nap for the movie and was tired.

I was exhausted again and went to bed at 8:00.

Big Day Wednesday

I slept like a log last night. I used something my daughter's friend (a doctor) recommended for her. It's called ZeeQuil and it's non habit forming. I took a capsule last night and slept like a baby. I got up at almost 6:00, which is unheard of for me.

Then I ate my breakfast and fed Missy hers and we went out on the carport for almost two hours. When I came in I downloaded the photos of my son and daughter-in-laws new home to my computer and then I cleaned and washed the kitchen and bathroom floors and ran the vacuum all over the apartment.

When Stan's office opened at 8:30,  I went over and made my payment for the hearing aid.

Then I fixed a hamburger pie for lunch and Bob brought a jello salad.  After lunch I baked some peanut butter criss cross cookies. After lunch, the plumber came back and the dishwasher would not leak again. So he told me if I found water again, not to clean it up. He would come back. That's odd, before I went to Florida last week I used it twice and it leaked both times.

Now I am simply resting here at the computer.

Tomorrow afternoon Bob and I are going to Bartlesville to see "Sully" at the Matinee. I saw it in Florida with the kids but I will see it again. It's one of those movies that you can see more than once.

More later...

I was exhausted when Bob came over this evening. I went to bed almost as soon as he left at 7:00. It was 8:00 and I simply could stay up any longer.

Tuesday and Hair Day

I slept very badly last night. My right arm ached terribly and I got intermittent sleep. I will pick up Bob in twenty minutes so we can go to Independence and he will visit with his sister, Betty, while I get my hair done. Then we will eat at Big Cheese.

I need to either talk with the appliance repairman again this afternoon or he will need to meet me here at the apartment. The gentle cycle of this washer doesn't work and I am tired of doing my lingerie in the bathroom sink so I called Betty and asked her to have it repaired. The repair man called me last night and I attempted to get the cycle to work from his instructions over the phone.  At first it wouldn't. After I jiggled the dial, it began but it stopped twice and finally stopped altogether after the rinse cycle and would not spin dry.  By then, he had hung up. He is to call me back this morning and we will try to get together after I get back from Independence at 1:00. I left him a telephone message after the cycle finally quit.

Hopefully, he will get back with me.

Missy and I have been outside for over an hour and she is so happy about that. She really missed getting to go outside every morning while I was gone.  Bob did not take her out.

More later..It is time to go....

I got my hair done and cut and then we went to Walmart and bought a couple of things. Later we ate at Big Cheese and then took John's birthday gift out to the house and left it in the rocker on the front porch.

Then I took Bob home and came home myself to meet the washer repair man. He checked out the gentle cycle but it certainly wasn't gentle. I finally had got it to work by jiggling the timer knob. He will talk to Betty to see if she wants him to put a new timer on it.  It will work after a fashion if I jiggle the knob. He tested it and it worked every time.  It never fails, does it?

 More later...

This is the huge stingray Scott brought in after over two hours of hard work.

He was so disappointed that's what it was after all that hard work. . Of course, we had to let it back in the ocean.

More even later....

Betty called me later  to see if I would like her to have the washer Bob had in the apartment he lived in installed. I told her I would just use the one I have until it dies and then she could have the other one installed.

Bob came over and watched the news and one episode of the old "Big Bang Theory" and after that and he left, I took my bath and at 8:30, Missy and I went to bed. I was exhausted.

Sunday and a Trip Home

I had my best night of sleep last night. I discovered that if I kept my right arm up next to my chest instead of stretching it out, it didn't hurt so much. So I only woke up one time to go to the bathroom and slept well. I got up shortly before five this morning completely rested. I'm all packed and I've had my breakfast and my chai and read my favorite blog....Bart Ehrman's blog.  I am ready whenever they are.

John is up and  getting ready to leave. I imagine they will have some cereal first.

More later...

We left on Sunday and drove to Sikeston, Missouri before we pulled into a  Holiday Inn Express for the night. We were all exhausted. There was noise off and on all night in the parking lot behind us and there was nothing they could do about it at the hotel. Some trucker could not get his Semi started and he ground away at it and then when it did finally start, he gunned the motor to keep it going. We got little sleep. I woke up with my right arm aching again. We quickly dressed and went downstairs for a hot breakfast. Then we loaded up and left about 8:00. We got into Coffeyville about 3:30 and the kids went to pick up Mini at Karan's. Then they went home.

I started my laundry and unloaded my suit case before I called Bob and he came over and visited awhile. We went out to see what Jim Taylor had to say about me on a sign out at his business.  He just asked folks to read what I had to say on his web site. I looked up the address but it wasn't this Jim Taylor's website.

More later...

This is the huge stingray my son caught on our fishing trip.

I tried to post the photo here but the blog would not take it. Anyhow,  after Bob left, I took my bath and Missy and I went to bed at 8:30. I was utterly exhausted.
