Stormy Sunday

We are forecast for some severe storms today.  I am leery about going out to church where we may encounter hail with the storm...or even a tornado.  There have been few tornadoes thus far this spring. It's been very odd weather all winter and early spring.

I slept well last night. I took a couple of Aleve with milk before bedtime.  That probably helped.  I awoke at 3:00 but managed to get back to sleep.  I slept until almost 5:00 AM. I usually get up at 5:00.

I'm not sure with the storm warning whether we will eat out after church as a group today. It depends on the weather, I guess.

I have the sermon this morning.  The topic comes from the gospel of John but it is in keeping with the mission of our church.....Peace. There isn't much peace in today's world...that's for sure. What a turbulent time we live in!

More later..........I'll update on the storm after church.

We got rain but no hail or tornado. We had a fair sized congregation too. The sermon went fine and we all ate out at Sirloin Stockade after church.

I took a nap in the afternoon and then Bob came over and we watched 60 Minutes on TV before leaving for the Living the Questions group at Keith and Joyce's.

The next group will be held at  Richard and Mona's on the 18th of May. Howard and Judy should be here for that one. It will be good to see them again. May will be busy. My son, Keith, and his wife, Esther, will be coming over the Memorial Day holiday. . It's been a couple of years since I've seen them.
