Thursday and Apartment Cleaning Day

I slept well last night. Got up at 5:00 and stripped my bed and did a load of laundry.  Then I cleaned the bathroom and kitchen and scrubbed both floors on my hands and knees. I remade the bed after the sheets were dry and brought out the vacuum cleaner. I want to start in the den this week. I try to start at different ends of the apartment each week.

I also worked on my class of 1953 newsletter. I received a newsletter from one classmate attached to e-mail. That's the easy way to do it. I just copy and paste and then edit the newsletter so anyone who still writes me will have some room in it.

Some classmates send me huge newsletters and they must be edited down to fit the six or seven page class newsletter. I use both sides of the paper. I cannot use the news of everyone's grandchildren. The newsletter  has to be sent with one stamp. Postage has become so expensive. Mostly I just try to use the news of the classmates themselves. I include the names of those deceased each year and our numbers that are left. We lost three this year.  Since high school we have lost 126 members of the class. We have lost 25 who are unknowns ( I do not know where they are). There are 142 left...67 of those are online. The others must have a hard copy.

More later...

After we ate lunch and Bob left, I called Honda of Bartlesville and scheduled an oil change. It was also time to rotate my tires.  So I drove down there and took a $14.95 coupon for the oil change. I had a discount for the tire rotation too and that cost me $9.95. It's almost time for brakes but that will have to wait until the next oil change.

Anyhow, I am back now and it is 4:40.  I bought my last two Christmas gifts while I was there. I got my greats books. My aunt Mildred always kept my sister, Phyllis, and me in books. I want to do that for my greats.

More even later...

Bob came over in the evening and watched the news and read the paper. He left at 7:00 and I took my bath and watched TV until 8:30 when I simply could not keep my eyes open any more. I went to bed and Missy soon followed.
