Sunday and Church

I slept fairly well last night. I did get up at 4:30.  I got myself ready for the day and fed myself and Missy.

I got the newspaper and read it and also did the crossword puzzle. Now I will take it over to Marilyn's mailbox.

I tried to watch the news but it was mostly yesterday's news.

I will go to church this morning. I made copies a couple of days ago of the new material.

I believe we will eat at Great China after the services. Bob will probably drive today. He has his banana nut bread.  The person with the church school treat usually drives.

After I get home I will do the congregation's newsletter and get it sent out. Then I plan to read my new book,"The Triumph of Christianity". I read some yesterday afternoon but soon got tired. It had been a big day.

I thought about what to have for lunch tomorrow, I bought several of those "single" meals at Walmart's last week. I will give one of those a trial. I still have one pound of ground beef and will probably make a meatloaf later in the week. I want to get some veggies to use with those "single" meals.  I believe I will have the lasagna with green beans on Monday.

It's almost 4:00 now. I have the newsletters out and am going to read on my book. It's "The Triumph of Christianity". So far...very interesting.

More later...

I read until time to watch the next episode of Ken Burns' programs that  I have been watching for  a couple of weeks. This one was about the black fighter, Jack Johnson, who was the first black man to hold  the world boxing championship. It was interesting.

I stayed up until after 9:00 to see the last of it and was also posting on facebook about gun control

Missy and I went to bed  after 9:30.

No, he has a girlfriend now and it's time for me to eat by myself.

Cliff doesn’t understand why I always take the time to have at least one vegetable with dinner, and always have fruit in the house. I tell him, “Any time you fill up on fruits and vegetables, you eat less of the starches and meat.”
