A Trip to Independence Missouri

I got up at 4:00 and got ready for the trip. At 4:30 I texted Bob that it was time to get up. I never heard a word. I've tried four times and even tried to call but his phone is either messed up (he sometimes doesn't get my texts for twenty minutes.) or the building there at Sycamore Landing can't get cell phone signals. It has a metal roof.

Finally, I heard from Bob. He will be here in fifteen minutes. We got everyone picked up in time and even arrived at John and Leslie's early. It's a good thing too. The plan got changed.

Here's the yard mess Justin made last evening. He missed big areas.

More later....

We had a wonderful time and a great sermon.  We then went to Ophelia's and had a great buffet for lunch.

I took some photos of those who went with us and will share them here.

This the four women who went in the van with Maia, my six year old great granddaughter.  On the left is Phyllis, then Karan and Leslie. Maia is next to Leslie.

This is the four of us on the roof of the Temple walking a labyrinth.  It was a lovely day...although kind of windy.
This is the children during the focus moment in the worship service.

Here is our entire group that came from Crossroads. On the left is John R, next to him is Sue, then Johnna, Leslie with Maia in front of her. Then next to her is Karan, then me, and Bob and Phyllis.

Four year old Cheyenne was supposed to have gone but she was sick so John stayed home with her. Her parents came to pick her up at 10:30. They will take her to the doctor tomorrow. She has been sick since Thursday.

More later...

Bob came over to watch 60 Minutes and the news but he went home soon after that. he was so sleepy after such a long day and he didn't get a nap.

Then I took my bath and went to bed at 9:00.  It was a big day!
