Saturday and Breakfast Out

I slept until 6:00 this morning thanks to the cough medicine.  I had a cup of coffee and didn't even turn the TV on. I just brought Missy out on the carport after she had her breakfast.  I brought the laptop out too and while I was busy with this blog, she sneaked away to the patio in back. She wanted to find some grass to eat.  Steve mowed on Tuesday so the grass on the west side was too short. She had found some along the edge of the apartment that he missed with his trimmer. I had to go carry her back to the west side and she was not happy!

I will pick up Bob for breakfast in about twenty minutes.  He is up but not shaved yet.  I texted him to be sure he was up.

It evidently rained last night. There are puddles everywhere. I slept through the whole thing.  I dread this weekend with all the noise. Missy hates it too. Most animals hate the fireworks. It must hurt their ears or at least frighten them.

I don't know what I will do today. It has been a busy week. I had lunch with Myra on Monday. Then yesterday Leslie and I went to Owasso to celebrate her birthday.  I had made an extra trip to Caney on Wednesday to pick up my contacts. Then Wednesday afternoon, I played Skip Bo with Marilyn R, Karan, Darlene and Beverly. That makes the week go fast.

Sunday evening we will have Living the Questions with Karan. Everyone except Joyce has answered my e-mails. She makes up her mind at the last minute. So we never know if she's coming or not. I am not going to cal her though. She may just not come.

More later....It's time to start getting Missy back in and pick up Bob.

I'm back. And because I cut her "outside" time down so much, I brought Missy back outside. It rained some while we were in Sirloin Stockade  so Missy may not roam much now.

This is a photo of my daughter-in-law and son's new home after they got the outside lights up.

Just another view straight on.

I read all afternoon after making some homemade soft serve using the peaches that my daughter and son-in-law gave me a couple of weeks ago.

I also played some free cell on the desktop computer.

I see we just got a severe thunderstorm warning on nixle... a service of the local police department.

Bob just came in. He had been out to the church putting the drain pipe back in the air conditioners drain.  Bill will get it glued in on Monday.

After Bob left, I took my bath and sat with Missy in the recliner and watched an old John Wayne movie until 9:00. Then I took my cough syrup and went to bed.

Yes, it is, Sister-Three. I will be going there to see them and it in September with my son-in-law and daughter.
