Saturday and Probable Mowing

I slept well again last night and was up at 5:30AM, I don't have anything to read since I finished my John Gresham  book. I had read it years ago but couldn't remember the story.

When I opened the front door this morning,  at first there was no cat there. But when I opened it later, Whitey was there waiting for her/his breakfast so I fixed it and took it out to her/him.  She ate her fill and left and then Blondie came for his breakfast and I fixed the second bowl and took it out to him.

Then I caught "the weather on the 8's" and here it is. Today is to be 72 degrees and mostly cloudy, Sunday is to be 81 degrees and cloudy and windy, Monday is to be 74 degrees and Thunderstorms, Tuesday is to be 57 degrees and AM clouds and PM sun, Wednesday is to be 61 degrees and sunny Thursday is to be 67 degrees and sunny, Friday is to be 76 degrees and sunny. Once again, one day of rain and that is Monday. One day is better then nothing at all. We can certainly use the rain. 

I went to Caney Drug and picked up my meds.

Then I checked the mail. My Caney Drug is not going to be my pharmacy network after 5/31/24, I will need to call Cigna Monday and see if I can get that reinstated. I do not want to go to Bartlesville to get my two prescriptions filled. It has been so handy to have Caney Drug take care of automatically having them filled each month.

I mowed most of the back yard about 8:00AM. I need to rake the leaves away from the fence to finish it. But I also need to go out to Dollar General and get some more black leaf bags. I used the last ones this morning. I will also need to eventually mow the west side yard and trim all of the yard.   I am too tired to do that now.

I did most of the raking at the back yard and fixed another black yard bag of full of leaves and put that one in the dumpster too.

It's 4:58PM now and I have read awhile this afternoon.

Friday and Another Good Night's Sleep

I slept well last night and was up at 4:45AM and made my bed and dressed and got myself ready for the day. I had my first cup of Chai Latte and my breakfast bar. I checked for cats but it's only 5:22AM and none were out there yet.

My Keurig needs to be cleaned again and I don't remember how to do it. Leslie showed me a year ago but I have slept since then and I don't recall now. It's been awhile. I will ask her to come show me again if she can work me into her busy schedule.

I did catch "the weather on the 8's". Here's the week's forecast.Tomorrow is to be 75 degrees and partly cloudy, Sunday is to be 79 degrees and cloudy, Monday is to be 78 degrees and thunderstorms, Tuesday is to be 54 degrees and cloudy Wednesday is to be 64 degrees and sunny, Thursday is to be 70 degrees and sunny. That's the week...only one day of rain and that's Monday. That's better then nothing though!

I will check for the cats again now.

Grey and Whitey came for their breakfasts and after they ate, they left and I brought the bowls back in the kitchen.

Leslie came just before lunch and cleaned up my Kaurig and then we went to Bartlesville for lunch and for her to send back a package she bought through Amazon. She also bought gas while we were down there and she washed her car at Okie's car wash..

Then we came back home.I read the rest of the afternoon, Blondie came for his dinner and I fed him. He ate then left and Whitey came  and I fed him/her and she/he left and then I thought I would mow the front yard since Stephen had mowed his. I took a photo of it after I put the clippings in the trash receptacle. But then couldn't recall how to post the photo I took. Getting old is not for sissies! :)

Thursday Morning and a Dental Appointment

 I slept well again last night and was up at 4:43AM. I made my bed and dressed and got myself ready for the day. I haven't checked the weather yet or even the cats. It's a little early for that. I will fix myself some Chai Latte and a breakfast bar first.

I am so pleased that John got my mower ready for the season of mowing. It may be a little early to start but at least it's ready now. I am thinking of raking the leaves and bagging them up if it's warm enough to do that. That will set my allergies off but I am going to have to do something about all those leaves from the neighbor's trees. Either rake them or mow them. It's so messy out there.

Right now I will see to the Chai Latte and breakfast bar. 

I have an 11:30AM dental appointment this morning. She wants to do bite wing x rays. I don't think it's necessary. I floss every day religiously. And it will just cost me more money.

When I opened the front door again, Grey was there waiting for his breakfast. I took it out to him...wet and dry cat food. He is eating now. 

I finished my breakfast bar and will fix my second cup of Chai Latte now.

Today is to be 68 degrees and sunny, Friday will be 73 degrees and partly cloudy and windy,  Saturday is to be 75 degrees and partly cloudy, Sunday is to be 80 degrees and cloudy, Monday is to be 77 degrees and scattered thunderstorms Tuesday is to be 61 degrees and partly cloudy and Wednesday is to be 66 degrees and sunny. That's the week..only one day of rain. And we really need rain!

Blondie came when Grey finished eating and He is eating what Grey left. He is eating it now.

About 1:30PM I called Sally to see if she wanted to go to Copan for lunch with me. She did. So I picked her up at 1:30PM and we drove down there to have our usual vegetable beef stew. Then we split a piece of German  Chocolate pie.

I took my last book to the library and  dropped it in the book drop. They close at 2:00PM on Tuesdays so I will have to wait until tomorrow to get more books.

Wednesday and Game Day

 I slept well last night and was up close to 6:00AM. I made my bed, dressed and got myself ready for the day.

When I finally opened the front door Grey was out there ready for his/her breakfast I took it out to him/her and Grey proceeded to eat. Soon Blondie came along and nudged the grey cat over and out of his way so he could eat his breakfast.

So I took the second bowl out to him, complete with both dry and wet cat food. Now they are both eating. I will need to get some more wet cat food today. Blondie got the last bit of wet cat food.

I will get my hair done this morning at 9:00AM and later in the day at 1:00PM, I will go to game day at the senior center. 

I am having my breakfast now too. Chai Latte and a breakfast bar.

John, my son in law, will come here after the doctor's appointment he has today. I asked him to prepare my mower for the mowing season.  He had me take it into the back yard and put it next to the gate there. He says it needs two filters and gas and oil. I am so grateful to him for doing this. I don't know who in Caney could care for it if he wouldn't.

Today is to be 56 degrees and  mostly sunny, Tomorrow is to be 68 degrees and  sunny, Friday is to be 73 degrees and partly cloudy and windy, Saturday is to be 77 degrees and partly cloudy, Sunday is to be 80 degrees cloudy and cloudy, and Monday is to be 76 degrees and scattered thunderstorms.

It looks like Monday is the only day of rain. We sure need it!

I went over to Dollar General and bought more wet cat food.

I left for Coffeyville and my hair appointment about 8:30AM. I got that done at 9:00AM and then got a pedicure. It had been awhile. In March the pedicure will go up to $45.00. I used to pay $35.00 but in the meantime it had gone up to 40.00. Now it will go up to $45.00 in March. After that I went to the senior center and sat in the bridge room and read in my latest library book. We started playing the card game, "Skipbo", at 1:00PM and played until 3:30PM. There were  five of us and we had a good time. 

When I got home the lawn mower was nowhere to be found. I assumed John had taken it home to do the work. Sure enough! He did and it started for him the third pull on the starter. He put two filters in it and filled it with gas and oil. He and Leslie brought it home to me this evening. It may be too early in the season to mow. I will check with them and ask.

More Later..It's 6:00PM now and I may take my bath. I did.. then read until bedtime at 8:30PM. 

Tuesday and Little to No Rain

 I slept well last night and was up at almost 5:00AM, dressed, made my bed and got myself ready for the day. I checked for cats but there were none out there yet. It's just 5:21AM. I did catch "the weather on the 8's" though.

Today is to be 50 degrees and mostly cloudy, Wednesday is to be 56 degrees and mostly sunny, Thursday is to be 68 degrees and sunny, Friday is to be  74 degrees and partly cloudy and windy, Saturday is to be 79 degrees and partly cloudy, Sunday is to be 83 degrees and cloudy and Monday is to be 78 degrees and partly cloudy. Lots of partly cloudy but no rain. We need rain so that's not good.

Well Blondie finally came for his breakfast  and I took it out to him. Whitey also came but Blondie ran her/him off. I bawled him out for that. There were two bowls out there..enough for both of them. After Blondie ate all he wanted, Whitey came back and finished what he had left. I didn't see Grey today...at least not yet.

I called Sally to see if she wanted to go to Copan for lunch but she was in Bartlesville at the dermatologist office. She took a rain check. Perhaps we can go Thursday. Today I may go to Independence to the Dairy Queen or Big Cheese for my lunch instead.

Monday and Possible Rain

I slept well last night and was up about 4:45AM, made my bed, dressed and got myself ready for the day.

When I opened the front door, Blondie was in the box with the rug..trying to stay warm. I took food out to him and he ate and left. Then Whitey came and ate what food Blondie left.

I did catch "the weather on the 8's" for the next week.

Today is to be 68 degree and  showers and wind. Tomorrow is to be 50 degrees and mostly cloudy, Wednesday is to be 57 degrees and mostly sunny, Thursday is to be 66 degrees and sunny, Friday is to be 77 degrees and partly cloudy and windy, and Saturday is to be78 degrees and partly cloudy, Sunday is to be 80 degrees and mostly cloudy. Today is the only day this week we can expect showers. We sure need it!

Finally before I went out to Dollar General, Grey came to eat and polished off the leftovers.

Then I went out to Dollar General and bought some $18.00 plus worth of groceries.  Hopefully that will hold me for awhile...

Sunday and Church

I slept very well last night, I had read most of the day and took my bath early, took my Melatonin and went to sleep counting my breaths.

I was up at 5:00AM, my usual time. After I dressed and got myself ready for the day, I started  my coffeecake for breakfast at church. It's in the oven now and has about 20 minutes to finish baking.

When I opened the front door, both Blondie and Blue were out there waiting for their breakfasts. They are both eating now.

I caught "the weather on the 8's" too. Today is to be 62 degrees and rain and wind. Monday is to be 66 degrees and isolated thunderstorms, Tuesday is to be 50 degrees and mostly cloudy, Wednesday is to be 56 degrees mostly sunny, Thursday is to be 66 degrees and sunny,  Friday is to be 77 degrees and partly cloudy and windy  and Saturday is to be 78 degrees and partly cloudy. That's the week. Only one or two days of rain... today and Monday.

I went to the church about 9:00AM and swept off the seeds at the  front door. Then I had some coffeecake and Chai Latte.  I had a little left and after the service, which was very good, we all went to Maria's in Independence for lunch. I am not real good on Mexican food but the others were going there so that's where I went too.

When I got home I started one of the books I checked out at the library. Whitey also came back for some more of the cat food...especially the hot stuff. I will need to get some more tomorrow. Between the three of them, they made a dent in the food I just bought.

I read most of the afternoon and watched some CBS news too. 

At 7:00PM,  I took my bath. It's 7:36PM now and I will go to bed soon...usually around 9:00PM . I am quite tired.
