Yesterday, as I mentioned on yesterday's blog, I called to see how Nancy was feeling and she appeared to be ready to go to Bartlesville but was feeling just a little weak after being sick on Thursday. So we went on down and drove around for awhile. She wanted to see where we had lived when we lived in Bartlesville. We ended up going to Dink's Bar B Q for lunch and each of us had a Bar B Q Chicken salad. We each boxed up half of it to take home for today. After I took her home, she wanted me to stay and visit some more so I did. I got home at nearly 6:00.
I slept pretty well last night. Missy cuddled up to me and that was fine until around 1:00AM when she began her bath. That woke me up. After a half hour of that. I got up and moved to the other side of the bed. Then I was able to get back to sleep. She must have taken the hint because she settled down.
I got up around 4:30 and dressed and got myself ready for the day. I fed Missy and myself and when it gets light, I will take her out with me while I water.
I was noticing that the words here were a little blurry so I took out my contacts and switched them to the other eye. Sure enough, I had put them in the wrong eyes. Everything is clear now.. :)
So, more later...
I went outside and watered everything and Missy went out too. When I was ready to come back in, she had to be bribed with "more treats". She is in on my bed now taking a nap. I will go wash my car now. I don't believe it's going to rain. The trim around my front window cane loose yesterday and I bought some strong glue and have tried to re-glue it. It should be dry now and I am hoping it will hold. We will see.
These are my new flowers that I planted this year. The blue ones finally bloomed. Next fall I will get some help to get another 40 pound bag of Miracle Grow into that flowerbed. Then I will plant even more perennials there.
More even later...
And these lilies I planted last year finally bloomed too. This is the above the ground flower box that my son-in-law, John, built for me when I moved into this apartment. Notice the "miniature" rose bush. John said I planted it too deep and that spoiled the "miniature" part. I will cut it back in February.
It got hot again this afternoon and Missy is driving me crazy wanting to go outside. It's 90 degrees out there and humid!
What do you know...that glue I used to reattached that rubber gasket that came loose from around the windshield worked! It held! I power washed the car and it still held.
In about 10 minutes, at 6:00PM the news will be on and I will watch that. At 7:00 I will take my bath and put my PJs on so Missy and I can watch Amazon Prime.
At 9:00 we will go to bed. I hope I can sleep through the night. I took a short nap this afternoon and I never do that for fear it will spoil my night's sleep. We will see.

Friday and Exercises
I slept fitfully last night, Some of it was a restless cat. Some of it was my sore shoulder.
I will go to exercise class today now that my lunch with Nancy is cancelled.
I don't have a plan now. I may call Nancy later and see if she is any better today. I am going to encourage her to go see a doctor or the emergency room. I may even offer to come get her and take her. I am worried she may have something serious going on.
Missy is wanting to go outside so I may get my drink and take her out.
I did take her out while I watered my flowers and she was kind of ornery. I finally just brought her in. I had to chase her down and I havn't had to do that in weeks. Darn Cat!
I believe she is in on my bed now.
I had a huge update on the desktop computer for Windows 10. So far, it didn't seem to hurt the computer. Windows 10 updates have crashed two of my computers in the past. Hopefully the updates will not crash my new notebook.
I will leave for exercise class about 45 minutes from now. In the meantime, I am watching CBS news.
More later....
I did go to exercise class and afterward, I called to see how Nancy was feeling. She was feeling a little weak after yesterday's ordeal but was ready to go on to Bartlesville to Dink's to eat. We both had the Bar B Q chicken salad and coffee and afterward, since she was interested, we took a tour of all the places we had lived when we lived in Bartlesville. It has changed so much! But then we went back to her house and spent the afternoon visiting. I left about 5:00 and she was still asking me to stay longer. That was very nice and we did have a nice visit.
When I got home, I gave Missy her treats and cleaned out the litter box. I even took her out on the carport. That's what she wanted to do and since I had been gone nearly all day, I couldn't refuse to take her out.
Later, I took my bath and we watched a couple of episodes of "Frasier" again. It's almost 9:00 now and Missy and I are ready to go to bed.

A Better Night and House Cleaning Day
I slept pretty well last night but woke up at 4:00AM and couldn't get back to sleep. So I just got up.
I dressed for the day, fed Missy and myself and when it got light out, we went out and I watered my flowers. Missy stayed close by so I let her out with me three times. She seems satisfied now in the apartment....just lying here at my feet.
I will clean the apartment today but will wait until after the CBS news which comes on at 8:00. I have all day to get it done.
I am thinking of taking the foam pad out from under the mattress pad. It may be the problem instead of the mattress itself. I really think it is restless Missy who sleeps next to me.
One more week until Leslie and I go to Tulsa to catch my plane for my trip to Seattle. The plane takes off at 6:00AM so I will have to get up at 3:00AM since it is an hour and a half trip to Tulsa. I will pack the night before. The first leg of the trip is to Denver.
More later...
I got quite a bit done this morning. I cleaned both the bathroom and kitchen floors, ran the sweeper everywhere but the bedroom (Missy was sleeping in there) I will get that room later. I went to Arby's and bought a chicken sandwich for my lunch, picked up the prescription I ordered yesterday and then forgot to pick up, and stopped by US Cellular to have malware taken off my phone.
Then I came back home. I had already dusted earlier this week so I don't need to do that again.
It is lightly raining now and that has cooled everything down.
More even later...
Nancy called and had to cancel our lunch date for tomorrow. She has been throwing up all day and hasn't stopped yet. This is the second time in a month that she has been sick. She doesn't have a doctor anymore and all they have in Caney is a clinic. I recommended Dr. Christiansen,,,Bob A's doctor. She has another friend that uses him so she may break down and call him. She really needs to find out what's going on with her health. So I will be free tomorrow.
Missy and I went out a couple more times while it was so cool. It rained softly off and on all afternoon. When the paper came I read it and worked the crossword puzzle. I had yogurt for my supper.
At 7:00 I took my bath and lay down with Missy to watch "Nature" and a couple of episodes of "Frasier". At 9:00 we went to bed.

Wednesday and Exercises and Bunco in the Afternoon
It was too good to be true. I slept poorly last night. I finally just got up shortly before 5:00. Missy was restless and I imagine that had something to do with it.
This morning I will go to exercise class and then eat the rest of the pizza I brought home from Big Cheese yesterday I will warm it up in the microwave.
Afterward I will go back to the senior center to play Bunco. I don't know how many will be attending this time. The group has been shrinking all along. Etta and Beverly are both moving and will be leaving town to move closer to their children. They are in their middle eighties.
Tomorrow is my regular cleaning day and Friday Nancy and I are going to Bartlesville to eat out at
Dink's Bar B Q and walk around the mall or the new strip mall next to Lowe's. I am looking forward to that.
Missy is pestering me to go outside. I have spoiled this cat big time. Since it has been nice early in the morning I have been taking her out for awhile every morning and if it stays nice, I sometimes will take her out in the afternoon too but in the shade. She loves to be outside and has been pretty good about staying close by.
Moore later....
I baked peanut butter criss crosses (cookies) before lunch. I will take some of them to the Bunco game at 1:00.
After I had lunch I took Missy out for awhile. She just loves to go out and lie on the doormat out there on the carport. Merrill was mowing but she didn't seem to mind at all. She just wanted to be out there. After about 30 minutes she was ready to come in and eat something and climb up on my bed and take a nap. That's where she is now. I had the rest of the pizza I brought home yesterday from Big Cheese and warmed it up in the microwave. It was as good as it was yesterday.
Now it's about time for me to leave for Bunco so I'd better wrap this up until after 3:00. More later....
We had two tables for Bunco. That's half of what we used to have. Also, the bank has stopped providing the money for the prizes. That's alright. I don't play for the money anyhow. I play for the fellowship and the fun. It's 3:20 now and I am back home. The Reporter will be here in about half an hour. Perhaps there will be something to read in it. The Journal sure didn't have much in it.
So, more later...
I read the Reporter and also did the crossword puzzle. I also turned on the news and afterward the Amazon Prime and watched a couple of episodes of "Frazier" and a couple of "Nature". Missy loves "Nature". The animals fascinate her.
About 7:00 I took my bath and at 8:30 prepared to go on to bed. Missy will come in later..at least she always has. We will see.

A Busy Tuesday and Hair Day and Juanita's Stitches Out
I slept very well last night. I woke up at 12:30 and didn't think I wouldn't be able to get back to bed. After I checked out my computer, though, I went back to bed and back to sleep. I slept until 5:00.
I got up and started my laundry..... mostly towels ...and got myself ready for the day. I fed Missy and myself and we went outside and I watered everything.
I will go to Independence and get my hair done at 9:00. I will stay there and browse around until noon and then eat there...probably at Arby's. Afterward, I will go up to Juanita's and take her to her clinic so her nurse can take the stitches out. I haven't heard from Dr. Holland's office about her biopsy so this morning after they open, I will call them to see if they have heard from the lab.
I also need to drop by Walgreen's and pick up my med there.
My laundry needs to be put in the dryer..more in a little bit. .....
O.K. That's done. This is the first time in a week that I have done laundry. Missy is no longer wetting on the pad under her litter box...thank goodness! The larger litter box seems to have fixed that mess.
More later....
I went on to Independence and got my hair done and afterward went by Walgreen's and picked up my prescription. Then I went to Walmart and bought some treats fir Missy. I looked around and killed some time and then went on over to Juanita's and visited with her for awhile and then took her to her clinic to get her stitches out. That hurt her some because the stitches had grown into the incision. But she managed. She is tough! Even at 96.
Then I took her home. We visited awhile and then I went on home myself. I was very tired. I did call Dr. Holland's office in Bartlesville and got them to tell me the results of her lab work. The incision right in front of her throat was not cancer and the one on the left side of her throat was squamous cell carcinoma but Dr. Holland got it all. She was so relived to get that information.
When I got home I cleaned out Missy's litter box, emptied the dryer of the towels I had washed and dried and read awhile. I am pretty tired and will go on to bed at 9:00 as usual. It's almost time for my bath right now.
Ginger texted me this evening about the cruise. She is as excited as I am. Linda, her mother, also was in on the texting. She is pretty excited too. We are all looking forward to the cruise. It should be in the 50's or even 60's as we get closer to Alaska. I am going to take slacks and long sleeved shirts and perhaps vests and a jacket and my new coat.
So, more later.
I took my bath at 7:00 and Missy and I watched a couple of hilarious episodes of "Frasier" before we went to bed at 9:00.

Monday and Exercise Class.
I slept well again last night and did not wake up until 4:00. I went to the bathroom then to take my med and decided to just get up. I dressed, emptied Missy's litter box and worked on this blog for last night. I will feed Missy and myself after I get my face made up for the day and after that try to watch some news before leaving for exercise class.
I want to get some coffeecake into Rick's truck before he leaves for work
So...more later...
I got myself ready for the day ate breakfast and fed Missy. I also put two pieces of coffeecake in Rick's truck.
I will go to exercise class today. Afterward, I may go to Bartlesville. I haven't been out of town since I took Juanita to the doctor there over a week ago. I would like to eat at Dink's Bar B Q. Bob told me they had redecorated the place. I would like to see what they have done. I may see if Nancy wants to go too.
More later...
I took Missy out for a little while but (can you believe this?) it was too chilly for her.
We came back in after I swept off the carport. Steve must have come and mowed yesterday sometime. The yard looks nice again.
Scott sent me a link to our cruise information and the itinerary. We were texting back and forth and I suddenly realized it was ten minutes until time for exercises so I quickly picked up my purse and left.
It's only ten days until I leave for Seattle on the 14th. Linda will meet me there an hour after I get in and I get my luggage,. I am supposed to take a book to read while I wait. When she comes, She and I will go to our hotel for the night. The kids will be in on the 15th.
I need to go water my flowers. So I will get back to this later...
I watered my flowers and took Missy out for awhile. After the mail came, I read my Consumer's Report magazine. I also finished the book I had borrowed from the book lending store downtown....I forget the name of the store.
Friday, Nancy and I plan to go to Bartlesville to eat at Dinks. I understand, from Bob A., that they have redecorated the place. It really needed it. We will walk around the mall too. Just about anything to get out of town and see something different. I enjoy Nancy's company. We worked at Blackledge Furniture Store together when we were young...in our 40's..
My 15 year old cat is asleep on the sofa snoring away. She sleeps a lot of the day.
The 5:00 news will be on shortly and I will watch that and at 7:00, as usual, I will take my bath and see what is on CBS TV and Amazon Prime. I will probably watch another "Frasier" episode.
Then I plan to go to bed at 9:00. Tomorrow I will get my hair done, eat out in Independence and take Juanita to get her stitches out at her clinic. Then I will come back home. That will be another hard day, I imagine.

Sunday and Church
I slept well last night for a change. Thank goodness!
Anyhow I got up at 5:00 and got myself ready for church and fed Missy and myself. I'm almost afraid to mention it, but ever since I bought the larger litter box, she has not missed it once. What a relief! I am not having to do her mat laundry three times a week...or more. Once she got used to the new litter box, she has done fine using it.
I took her out for awhile just a little bit ago so she could lay in the sun. She loves that. But she came in without an argument when I needed to get out of the sun.
I got my coffeecake done and iced and called Phyllis. She is to drive today...she insisted. I went over to Dollar General and bought some more small plates for the coffeecake.
John and Leslie have taken their camper and gone to Roaring River to fish. They will be back tomorrow or Tuesday. ...probably Tuesday!
I don't have a plan for today. We will probably eat at "Just Us" after church unless someone has a better idea. When I get home I will do my newsletters and get the ones out in either e-mail of the snail mail that don't show up for church.
More later....It's almost time for Phyllis to get here.
Phyllis came on time and we went to pick up Bob. Karan had the sermon at church and she did a good job. Afterward we went over to Cherryvale to "Just Us" for a good lunch.
After she took us home, I did the congregational newsletters and sent Laura N. a birthday card from the congregation.
I read most of the afternoon and even took Missy out on the patio while the weather was mostly nice. She really enjoyed getting to be outside and came in when I was ready to come in.
I went over to Marilyn's for about an hour and visited and took her a piece of the coffee cake I had brought home from church. I will try to get some into Rick's truck before he leaves for work in the morning. Rick and Carmen are buying Etta's house and she will be moving away to be near her family.
I watched 60 Minutes at 6:00 and then after that, at 7:00, I took my bath and lay down with Missy to watch "Frasier" on Amazon Prime. At 9:00, Missy and I went on to bed.

I watched 60 Minutes at 6:00 and then after that, at 7:00, I took my bath and lay down with Missy to watch "Frasier" on Amazon Prime. At 9:00, Missy and I went on to bed.
