Friday and Leaving for Camp

I slept poorly again last night and ended up getting up shortly before 4:00. Then I packed. I have the car loaded with my weekend luggage now. Missy knows something is up because she saw me packing, She's been over that road before. Bob will be coming over to care for her until Sunday afternoon. She likes him but usually gets angry that I am gone. She does a lot of hissing and spiting over it.

I will leave about 10:00 to pick up Karan. She is at exercise class right now or will be at 9:00.  I will have to wait until after my appointment on the 30th before I can return to exercise class. They have forecast a chance of hail today. I hope I don't run into hail on my way to the campgrounds. I had one car ruined with hail in the late 1990s. It was a nice old Toyota. I hope the present Honda lasts me the rest of my life.

It is 8:30 now and I could use some cash for the day. If it isn't raining or hailing I might venture out to go to the bank.  I will have my hair done on Tuesday too. I will need cash for that.

More later...maybe much later when I get back on Sunday evening.

Thursday and Another Short Night

I went to bed last night at almost 9:00 and awoke at 2:30. I lay awake for an hour or so and finally got up about 3:45. How disgusting!  I didn't take anything except my thyroid med. I thought I could get back to sleep eventually. Not so!

I am dressed and ready for another windy day. It will be warm but very windy.

Gary will be calling today for me to take him back to V & S Variety to return the video he rented yesterday. He may want to rent another but I am taking him my collection and he may just watch some of them...especially over the weekend when I will be gone.

I forgot I would be gone this weekend when I told Bob we could watch the movies he wanted to see from my Amazon Prime while Joanne is in Omaha.

More later...

I took Gary by V & S Variety to return his video and also by the Family Dollar store briefly. I left him all my videos and he later texted me that he was impressed with my selection and would probably view them all.

When I got home I washed my bare floors. I still have to run the vacuum cleaner. Maybe I will do that tomorrow.

Missy and I watched a video this evening and after 6:30 I took my shower and we went to bed at  9:00.

Wednesday and Bingo

I slept very well last night and didn't wake up until 4:45. After going to bed at 8:30 last night, that was plenty of sleep.

I will probably go to Bingo this afternoon. That will give me some fellowship.

I don't have any different plan for today. We are under wind advisories today so I probably won't go out much.  I do need to go to Walmart and get a few things. I will have to try to park near their door since I just had my hair done yesterday.

Joanne was telling me yesterday that her girls are coming on Friday and taking her back to Omaha with them for the weekend. So Bob will be on his own for the weekend. While she is gone, he wants to see the movie she did not want to see at the theater. It was "Darkest Hour". So he missed it and he would like to see "The Post" again too and I have both of them on Amazon.

More later...

I went to Walmart before my lunch and bought about $40. worth of groceries.

I had frozen sweet and sour chicken from Walmart  for my lunch. I also took Missy out for a little bit but it was way too windy for her and she wanted to come back in. She is in on my bed now having her after lunch nap.

I went on to the senior center to play Bingo at 1:00 or shortly afterward. When we were finished, Gary Bailey called to ask me to take him to pay a few bills and run by V&S Variety to rent a video. He had not known we still had a place to rent videos. I was just leaving the senior center and he lives just a few blocks away so I immediately picked him up and we ran his errands. He rented the newest Star Wars movie.  I will take him my collection tomorrow when I go to pick him up to take the video back to V & S Variety. He may find something he would like to see in mine. I will be gone this weekend to the women's retreat at our church's camp grounds so maybe he can find something to watch over the weekend.

More later...

Raven, my daughter and son in laws new female Corgi  puppy is so cute! Out enjoying the spring like weather before cold weather hits again.

Finally Missy and I went to bed at 8:45. I was so tired.

Tuesday and an Unexpected Emergency

I did not sleep well last night at all. I woke up at midnight and my legs were aching. I got up and took my thyroid med and an extra strength Tylenol. That took care of the leg pain. However, I could not get back to sleep. Ar 3:00, I woke up and took a Benadryl tablet.  That usually puts me to sleep. Not this time however.

At 4:30, after I had just given up and got up and dressed and got ready for the day, I checked my messages, Bob had texted me about a problem about 4:00 AM. He was having chest pain and his blood pressure was 185/60. I told him I was awake and dressed and would be right over to take him to the emergency room.  It sounded like it could be a heart attack to me. And since he has A Fib, he is also at risk for stroke.

I got over there immediately. He went on into the emergency room while I signed him in. They ran emsymes on him and called his doctor in. The doctor gave him an examination and decided that it was not a heart attack. The heart emsymes were normal but two of the muscle emsymes were sightly elevated. Bob remembered moving a heavy desk for Joanne a couple of days ago. That's what they decided it must be...an inflamed muscle, but they want him to stay in the emergency room until noon so they can run those emsymes again. If it still appears to remain just a muscle, they will release him and I will pick him up..

I will not call Joanne or Denise, his daughter, since it appears to be a false alarm. Better safe then sorry though.

More later...

I got back in town from my hair appointment at 10:00. Just as I was coming in, I got a text from him that he was being released. he is fine. I went straight to the hospital to get him and I took him home. He bought me a ticket to go with him to  the Salvation Army luncheon. Joanne told him to invite me. :) She is working it.

The lunch was very good and very well attended.

When I got home I  raked and bagged the leaves from the center lawn again. I think that is three times I have done that this spring.

More later...

I called my friend, Karan, this evening, She had been having problems with her jaw when she exerted herself. She has A-Fib too. So, her doctor did an angiogram and they found her arteries were clear as a bell.  So she had good news too.

More even later...

I took my shower about  6:30 and put my PJs on so Missy and I could watch another Amazon program. We finally went to bed about 8:30. I had missed so much sleep last night.

Monday and Another Cold Day

I slept well last night. I only woke up once at 2:00 but after I took my med, I went back to bed and right back to sleep.

I don't have a plan for today. I am very bored with just staying home and in the apartment. I did go out yesterday to buy milk and a card. But after that, I just stayed in. I hope it warms up today. Missy and I both want to go outside in sunshine.

More later....

I have decided to delete my facebook account. I don't like the way they have used and sold my personal information. It will be two weeks before they delete the account completely.

I have started my laundry. I have two of Missy's bathmats in there. She wets on those bathmats under her litter box every couple of days. I don't know why.

More later....

Well, I finished the laundry and put it away. Then I watched the Masters Golf Tournament at Atlanta.

After that, I watched the news and later took my shower and put my p.js on to to watch some more of Hollywood Remembers Leading Ladies.

At 9:00, Missy and I went to bed.

Sunday and a Local Church Service.

I slept well last night and got up about 5:00 AM. I had my oatmeal and coffee and Chai Latte and fed Missy and baked my coffeecake.  I iced it when it was cool.

I have read the paper and done the crossword puzzle and then I took the paper over to Marilyn's mailbox.

Bob just called to say he would drive himself to church since he was going to have lunch with his girlfriend, Joanne, and her daughter, Nancy. So I will only pick up Phyllis at 9:00 AM this morning. We will eat at "Just Us" in Cherryvale after church.

Between  Leslie and Melissa they got a worship service together for today. I had my May sermon all ready and could have adapted it. but they had another plan. That's fine. They are the pastors in charge. I will save that sermon for May.

I have an hour and a half until time to pick up Phyllis. So more later....

This is the Corgi pup that John and Leslie kept for breeding purposes. Her name is Raven.

Cute, isn't she? She's one of the rare multicolored ones.

More later...

We had a relatively small congregation at church today. Many had planned to go to Independence, Missouri, for that special worship service there but the weather had turned treacherous and we were not able to hold it there after all. Our Mission Center cancelled it. Getting there would not have been so bad but getting back home would have been the hard part. The ice and snow started about 10:30 and it continued all day. The drive home would have been the problem,

I came home after Karan and Phyllis and I ate at "Just Us" in Cherryvale. Bob drove his own car and came back to Coffeyville to eat with Joanne and her daughter, Nancy. "Just Us" had a small group too. Evidently people in the area thought Cherryvale was going to get that bad weather too and just stayed in.

I got the congregation's newsletter out and also put a card on my neighbor's apartment door handle. Their son is struggling right now and is unhappy with God for not "fixing" his problems. I've been there myself several times over the years before I finally learned that God does not "fix" our lives. God only tries to give his best advice to us and encourages us to fix our own lives.God only tries to  persuade...and does not coerce us.  We have to learn to listen to his still small voice and heed it.

I tried to find something on the selection of movies on Amazon but couldn't find much of anything I was interested in. Finally I took my shower and put my PJs on and watched a documentary on cleanliness. At 9:00 Missy and I went to bed.
