For some reason, I lost all that I had posted for today. So I will start over. I slept well last night. I awoke at 2:00AM as usual but did get back to sleep and slept until 6:00AM which is a record anymore.
Missy and I got up and I dressed and got ready for the day and then I fed both of us and I drank both my coffee and my chai latte after I had my oatmeal.
I want to vacuum today since I dusted yesterday. Otherwise I have nothing else planned. I want to look up my stew recipe since I want to have stew and biscuits for lunch/dinner on Tuesday.... after the kids come in.
Missy wants to go outside but it's only 42 degrees and too cold for her old bones...and mine. It will warm up later this morning.
This is one of my son-in-law's six Cowboy Corgis. They are for sale and are to be ready for Christmas gifts. Their father is a registered Welsh Corgi and their mother is a.purebred Blue Heeler. He has six puppies...three males and three females. They live in Independence, Kansas and would meet a buyer halfway if it's not way too far away.
These puppies are adorable!
More later.....
I took Missy out several times today while the weather was mild. The last time I took her out was about 3:15PM and the weather was getting colder. I didn't have any trouble getting her to come back in this time. I learned I could bribe her with her treats anyhow. :)
It's going on 4:00PM now. I read the newspapers and took them to Marilyn just a little while ago. I did the crossword puzzle in today's Reporter.
I got the apartment vacuumed today and had to wait to get into my bedroom where Missy was sleeping. I had a huge ball of cat hair each time I vacuumed. I vacuumed a little more in the living room after I finished my bedroom. More cat hair...that cat is really shedding! I also mopped the kitchen and bathroom floors. So the place is clean. I will strip the bed on Monday and wash the sheets and then sleep on my daybed trundle bed Monday night so the sheets will remain clean for Keith and Esther Tuesday night through Thursday night. They leave on Friday. Keith leaves the next day after they get home for Morocco. He will be gone a couple of weeks this time.
More even later....
I took my bath at 7:00PM and Missy and I watched some Amazon Prime TV until 9:00PM when we went to bed. I was very tired.

Friday and Home Again
Leslie and John and I got home yesterday afternoon from our Phoenix trip and I was very tired. I unpacked and put everything away and then Missy wanted to go outside while it was a nice day. I swept off the carport. It was covered with leaves. Later about 7:00PM or so, I took my bath and watched TV until 9:30PM. I did fall asleep on the sofa with a nice warm cat on my lap and an afghan over me. I went to bed about 9:30PM. I slept pretty well until 3:00AM or so and when I couldn't get back to sleep, I just got up close to 4:00AM. I had a cup of coffee and a cup of Chai Latte and then got hold of Bob Avery and asked him to go to Eggberts for breakfast with me.
I will go to Walmart after awhile and buy some groceries. I don't have much in the house. I also have the coffeecake at church for the church school class. I am thawing my stew meat for the lunch on Tuesday when Keith and Esther get here. I will get some biscuits to serve with the stew.
I want to get Scott's birthday gift and card in the mail early too. I hope he will wait until his birthday on the 29th to open it. I need to get a card for Christina's birthday too. Hers is the 26th.
I cleaned under the bed this morning and found a lot of dust against the north wall. I'd like to move my bed against the east wall but I know I shouldn't try that.
I will go out to Walmart early and try to miss the crowd. More later...
This is a photo of Esther (on the far left), Leslie, (in the middle) and me on the right. We were having Chai in Sadona.
I did go out to Walmart and stocked up on food. I will fix stew and biscuits for Tuesday's meal and we will go to John and Leslie's home on Wednesday. Then Thursday we will all go to "Just Us" in Cherryvale for Thanksgiving dinner. I called today to confirm our noon reservation for nine.
I also took Scott's birthday gift to the post office and mailed it off. They think he will get it on Monday. That will be a surprise if it happens. I do have the tracking number if it's lost.
This afternoon I will do some laundry and dusting. I also took Missy out a couple of times. Needless to say, she was delighted about that. At 6:00PM we watched the news and later watched our Amazon Prime TV until bedtime. We went to bed about 9:00PM or so.

Monday and the Trip to Phoenix
I slept fitfully last night. I first woke up at 2:30 and went to the bathroom and took my med and went back to bed. Then I had a sneezing spell and my sinus began to drain. I got up again and took a benadryl. tablet. It took awhile but I finally got back to sleep and slept until almost 6:00AM.
I got myself ready for the day, fed Missy and myself and took the trash over to the trash cart. It is snowing out there. Wouldn't you know! Our flight to Phoenix leaves at 1:35PM from Tulsa Oklahoma 72 miles south of here to Denver...of all places. Lord only knows how much snow Denver has. From Denver, we go on to Phoenix...if we can get off the ground in Denver.
I will leave that worry to John and Leslie, traffic control and God. I certainly have no say in that.
In about 30 Minutes, I will leave for my hair appointment.
Bob just called to bring me up to date. The hospital called to see if they could move Joanne's appointment up to 1:00PM instead of 2:00PM. He is going to do that. They will be very careful. She definitely needs to get her tests done. That doctor here has fooled around for a month now and Joanne has had diarrhea all this time. She also has a lung disease of some kind. I told Bob about Missy's food while I had him. I left him a long note about that.
I had better start thinking about getting to my 8:30AM hair appointment. I want to stop at the bank too before I go to it. It will be several days before I get back to this because I am not taking my laptop with me.
I went to the bank and then went on to my appointment. Toni was there early and got me right in. It's just 8:45AM right now and I am ready whenever the kids are.
They came and got me after 9:30 and we went on to catch our flight. You won't hear from me again until next Friday.

Sunday and a Very Busy Day
I slept until almost 5:00AM this morning and feel rested now. I got myself ready for the day and fed Missy and myself before starting the roast and potatoes with carrots in the slow cooker. I hope it cooks well. I put it on at 6:00AM and added the potatoes and carrots a short time later. It is supposed to cook for 2 1/2 hours and then be put on number 2 on "warm" after that. I will take a casserole dish with me to serve it in.
After the basket dinner today, we will pack our Samaritan Child Christmas boxes. Then after that I will come home and do the congregational newsletters. Finally I will pack my carry-on. That's the only bag I am taking. Leslie does not want us to check any luggage... just put our carry-ons under the seat ahead of us.
I have watched the news and weather this morning. Tomorrow there is supposed to be a couple of inches of snow. ...at least in Tulsa...from where we are leaving for Phoenix. I dread the flight. I hate the routine of being searched and putting my bag on the conveyor belt to be searched. At least this time I will have John and Leslie with me. We have to fly to Denver first and change planes there. I hope they don't have ice or snow in Denver. That could cause a delay. Keith told me yesterday that John and Leslie are renting a car after we get there. They will attend some kind of conference while we are there. Keith plans to take us to Sadona on Wednesday. Wednesday is Esther's birthday. We will celebrate it then.
This morning it is 39 degrees out there. That's a little warmer then yesterday.
More later....
Bob just brought me his banana nut bread for the church school class. He is not going to go to church today. He has a lot on his mind. He is taking his girlfriend, Joanne, to Galena for tests tomorrow. She has several serious health problems.
I will pick up Phyllis at 9:00AM and we will take care of his duties when we get to church. On top of everything else, he will be feeding and cleaning up after Missy for the next three days until Thursday when we get back.
More later....
Phyllis and I got to church and carried in our food, etc. for the basket dinner. We tried to do the things Bob always took care of since he was not able to come today.
We had our class and then the worship service. Johnna's stepson with his 13 month old baby came and after awhile she got fussy. He got up and took her out in the foyer and I got up and joined him. I convinced his to leave the baby with me and I took her to the nursery and played with her until the service was over. I also convinced him to stay for lunch and they did. The baby was good and she enjoyed the toys and the child sized rocking chair.
We had a nice lunch.
After I got home I put what was left of my roast and potatoes and carrots in a smaller dish and called Marilyn to ask if she could use it. She was glad to take it off my hands. :)
I worked on the congregational newsletter then and got two of them ready for the snail mail The rest went out in e mail.
Then after I got all my packing finished except for the last minutes stuff, I took my bath and Missy and I lay down on the sofa and watched TV and Amazon Prime until 9:30PM, when we went to bed.
