Saturday and No Particular Plan

I slept well last night again. I only woke up once and then I took my meds and went right back to sleep. I made my bed and dressed and got myself ready for the day.According to yesterday's forecast, it's supposed to be 101 degrees and sunny today so I will definitely have to water all the flowers again if I want to keep them alive.

Right now I am eating my breakfast here in the den..as usual. This is the last of my oatmeal though so tomorrow I will open the frozen waffles I have in the freezer and have waffles from the toaster for breakfast. I really don't want to go to the market and buy my groceries until I get my social security on Wednesday. I will have to buy water. I am on my last bottle.

It;s 6:15AM now and when I finish my oatmeal, I will go check on the  weather and the cats.. After it gets light, I will go out and water while it's still relatively cool. 

Both cats came for their breakfast and I fed them, they ate and then Scruff left. Blondie is still lying out there but is finished eating. 

Suzanne left papers again so after I get the weather forecast I will read the papers and then put them in the car for Karan tomorrow at church.

"The weather on the 8's" finally came on at 6:48AM and I took a photo on it with my phone. Today will be 101 degrees and partly cloudy, Tomorrow is to be 101 degrees too and  partly cloudy, Monday will be 95 degrees and partly cloudy,Tuesday's forecast is for 92 degrees and isolated thunderstorms, Wednesday's is to be 95 degrees and partly cloudy, Thursday's is for 96 degrees and sunny, and Friday's is 97 degrees and mostly sunny. Another very hot week!

The only day there is even a forecast for rain is Tuesday. I know.. just because it's forecast doesn't mean we will actually get it. 

It's light out now and I will go water flowers.

I got the back flowers watered and even picked up leaves again. I am trying to keep the back yard free of them. And, of course, the bending exercise is good for me. 

Now I need to go water the front flowerbed and hanging container flowers.

I watered the front flowerbed and hanging pot too and have been watching the CBS morning news, I recorded. I can edit out the commercials that way.

Instead of dusting yesterday, I did it today. It's a good thing I did too. There was quite a bit of dust in every room. I was amazed. I only missed one week of dusting. Anyhow it's nice and clean now. I used Old English polish. It's very good for the wood. 

I went out once again and picked up the leaves from the back yard. I won't be able to do it again today. It's up to 87 degrees now....fairly hot! I will sweep off the back door mat again though.

More later...I believe I will read again. The Kindle is charged now.

I went out to Eggbert's at lunch time and had my usual lunch.I still need to get water. But I haven't been the market yet.

It's 4:28PM now and I have been reading all afternoon. It's 99 degrees out there now.

I asked Leslie, my daughter, to call me when he had time. That was at 2:49PM. She must be very busy. I had a piece of news  come on my phone and wanted to share it with her. She has often complained about their WiFi out there. There is a new WiFi booster called Signal Tech.It is usually $100 but if someone goes to their website and buys it there, it is $50.00. It makes a vast improvement in the WiFi signal according to the story I read online.. 

I am planning on taking my bath at 7:00PM. It is 6:42PM right now. I will read until 9:00PM then I will plan to go to bed.

 

Friday and Dusting

I slept pretty well last night although I did get pretty warm. I must have had the air set to high. I got up earlier this morning and turned it down to 75 degrees and then was comfortable. By then it was nearly 5:00AM so I just got up.

I am having my breakfast here in the den as usual. It's just now 5:49AM and it's too dark out to tell if it ever rained. It was only forecast for yesterday in the morning and it only sprinkled a little. Luckily I didn't trust it to rain and went ahead and watered all the plants...front and back. I am trying to keep them alive and blooming.

Today I plan to dust everything. I got all the mopping and vacuuming done yesterday but saved the dusting until today. After vacuuming, I am always pretty tired but at least with this vacuum I can do the whole apartment in one morning. The other one couldn't handle the new carpeting. It is so thick, it shut the sweeper down and I had to let it cool overnight to finish. Stephen brought me the one I have now. It is to stay with the apartment.

More later...I will go turn on the TV for the weather forecast and then check on the cats. 

When I opened the door, Blondie was there waiting.Before I could go get the cat food he ran across the street like he saw a rabbit. By the time he got there whatever it was was gone so he sat and waited for it to come back. He is still sitting there waiting. He must have caught whatever it was because he didn't come back.

I did catch the weather though. Today is supposed to be 101 degrees and mostly sunny,  Saturday is also supposed to be 101 degrees and sunny, Sunday is forecast for 99 degrees and mostly sunny, Monday is supposed to be 93 degrees and AM thunderstorms, Tuesday is to be 95 degrees and PM thunderstorms, Wednesday 92 degrees and AM thunderstorms, and Thursday is supposed to be 96 degrees and sunny. I sure hope those three days of thunderstorms will develop. Yesterday's sure didn't.

I see there is one cat out there and it may be Scruff. More later... 

No, it was Blondie. He evidently didn't catch whatever he went after. He ate cat food instead. Scruff is out there now and she is eating. Blondie moved away from the cat food and left her to it. 

I see the garage door opener light is out. I still have the ceiling light so no big deal. 

More later... It's only 76 degrees out there this morning. Pretty nice....Both cats are eating now. They share pretty well. Scruff always tries to move Blondie away from that side of the bowl. But he resists her effort. It's fun watching them. As long as he doesn't attack her, I leave them to work it out themselves. If he gets rough with her, I scold him and make him stop. He seldom tries that anymore.

I have a doctor's appointment next week  with Dr. Christensen in Coffeyville.  I checked into my supplement, Lumico, since I had to pay $122.00 for my doctor's bill six months ago. I learned there is a $233 annual deductible on my supplement policy. But the good news is when I pay that deductible each year, all additional costs are covered even if I have to go into the hospital for an illness of any kind. I talked to an independent broker who handles all sorts of insurance supplements about it and he told me it was an excellent plan and to be sure to keep it. The monthly premium is $140.25. Blue Cross/Blue Shield was $330.21 per month. Every agent I talked to told me that was outrageous. I had had it ever since I turned 62 and every couple of years the premium would go up.

I read this afternoon until 1:30PM when I made myself a peanut butter and jelly sandwich for lunch.I was out of frozen meals and won't go to the market until Wednesday. Peanut butter has lots of protein. Jelly has lots of sugar. :)

I went through my mail..such as it was. A renewal for my Consumer Reports magazine. And a catalog for clothing. All I have ever bought from them is pajamas.

I finished my book and downloaded three more to read. But it's 3:40 now and I need to do something else for a change.  And besides, the Kindle is back on the charger again.

Thursday and Apartment Cleaning

I slept well again last night. I was up after 5:00AM and made my bed and dressed and got myself ready for the day. I haven't made my breakfast yet but that's next on the schedule. It's 6:02 now and I haven't even turned on the TV for the weather yet. And I haven't checked on the cats either. I think I will make my breakfast first though. I never did eat anything last evening. I had enough snack foods after Bunco to make up plenty of calories.

More in a little while. I need to get some breakfast.

I have my breakfast now and will eat it before checking on the weather and the cats. 

I have finished my breakfast and will go check out the weather now. It's 6:21AM.

I missed the weather if it even ran at 6:27AM. I did find both cats waiting for their food. I took it out and both cats ate their fill and left, I put the cat food back in the garage and covered it. Now I am waiting for the 6:38AM weather. 

I see Stephen stayed the night last night. It was probably too late to try to drive home to Owasso last night. 

They still haven't run the "weather on the 8's" yet. And it's 6:40AM now.

The weather finally ran at 6:48AM.

We have a 50% chance of rain today and it will be 97 degrees, Tomorrow  is forecast for 101 degrees and partly cloudy, Saturday is to be 100 degrees and sunny, Sunday is to be 99 degrees and cloudy, Monday 95 degrees and PM thunderstorms, Tuesday is to be 91 degrees and partly cloudy. and Wednesday 94 degrees and sunny. Another hot week.coming. So far we haven't had the AM thunderstorms that are forecast for this morning. I hope we get it. It may cool it down to 97 degrees...if you can call 97 degrees cooler.

I guess I had better start my mopping if I am going to get my housework done this morning.

I got the mopping done and even vacuumed the bedroom, hall, and den. All I have left now is the living room and dining room. But I need to rest for awhile before I continue.

I went outside to water the back flowerbed and hanging plant and it is sprinkling. I will wait to water to see if the rain starts. In the meantime, I will rest and perhaps watch the CBS news. I am recording it so I can watch what I missed (and edit out the commercials) later. 

I went out again to water the backyard flowerbed and hanging pot and it was still just barely sprinkling. So I watered them anyhow. It may not rain. It has been sprinkling for an hour...so light you can barely feel it.   

Now I am going to vacuum the living room and dining room.

I got the vacuuming finished and will read now. I am very tired. It never used to take so much out of me to simply clean a 5 room apartment...but of course, I've never been 86 years old before either...almost 87...The years tell.

So, more even later...

I was going to read, but once again the Kindle needs to be charged. So I put it on the charger. It will take some time to charge it. In the meantime, I have nothing new to read. I guess I can work on my sermon for the 21st.

I got that worked out.

It never did rain...just sprinkled a little. Now the sun is shining brightly and it's 80 degrees and getting warmer. I'll bet we won't get rain after all. We had a 50% chance of rain this morning but it doesn't look like it will develop. And it's 10:27AM already. It's a good thing I watered the flowerbeds and hanging plants earlier.

I went out and cleaned up my back yard again. I put the leaves in a plastic grocery sack and will put that in the trash barrel. It will have to be done several times before the leaves stop falling but it's good bending exercise for me. I know I need some exercise.

Leslie called me earlier and gave me some news about John and her.

I just had a text from Stephen, my landlord,  he said he really enjoyed the coffeecake I made for him last evening. He had two pieces last night. I wanted to do something for him. He has done so much for me. He mowed the shaggy part of my yard last evening...after he had mowed all of his own. I had intended to wait until later in the evening and mow it myself. He didn't think I ought to do that and volunteered to do it for me. Krystal, my usual mower, couldn't do it last night. Her girls had softball practice and she needed to be there and we were expecting rain today. Then he cleaned out the guttering of both apartments. And he cleaned up the mess.

He had a big evening after working all day too.

 So more later.....I am going to check on the Kindle on the charger. 

The Kindle was fully charged so I opened it and downloaded another book. I read all afternoon and finished that book. It is 4:33PM now and I may go buy a small flurry for my supper.I had a frozen Mexican meal for my lunch.

I did go get a small flurry and it was very good. A small flurry is only $3.29 and you can hardly beat that price and it's filling.

It's 6:20PM now and I will get ready to take my bath at 7:00PM and put my pajamas on and download another free book from Amazon and read some more until bedtime at 9:00PM.

Tomorrow is Friday and I will dust the apartment. That all the housework I need to do. I have everything else done today. The garage is even clean.

 

 

Wednesday and Bunco

I slept well again last night and finally, after hours, the temperature finally got down to 75 degrees in here. I also had the new ceiling fan on and that helps too. 

Suzanne had told me to open the den door and the air would circulate better. I tried that and she was right, It did. 

I got up shortly before 5:00AM and made my bed and got myself ready for the day. I am eating my breakfast here in the den this morning as usual. It's only 5:32AM and I doubt the cats would be out there this early. I will check at 5:45AM when I turn on the TV for the weather.

And this morning, my hair appointment is at 9:00AM.

So More Later.... 

I turned on the TV and "the weather on the 8's" came on almost immediately. I grabbed my phone and took photos of it.

Today will be 102 degrees and partly cloudy, Thursday will be 98 degrees and AM thunderstorms, Friday is forecast to be 101 degrees and sunny, Saturday's forecast is for 100 degrees and sunny, Sunday is to be 100 degrees and mostly sunny, Monday is to be 94 degrees and isolated thunderstorms and Tuesday's forecast  94 degrees and partly cloudy. That's the week. At least there is some rain in the forecast this next week....this Thursday and next Monday. Otherwise, it will be very hot!

Both cats were out there waiting for their breakfast and I took it out to them. I think they are finished now. I will check. I want to get their food in before the ants find it. 

They were both gone. Scruff wasn't even under the hedge as she usually is. Quite a bit of the food was gone too.  So they must have had their fill.

It's only 6:41AM and I won't leave until 8:30AM or so. No sense getting over there too soon. It would be just that much longer to sit at the library and read until 1:00PM. I won't have lunch. There will be lots of treats at Bunco at the senior center.

I won't be able to have Krystal mow this week. I have just enough cash to pay for my hairdo today. ...$12.00. That raise in my car insurance really took a toll on my budget this month. I won't get my social security until next Wednesday. I will need to be careful. I bought groceries and gas this week so I should be fine.

I will need to water the plants again today... morning and evening. The rain is not forecast until tomorrow. 

I watered the flowerbed in the back and the hanging flowerpot too. Then I picked up several hundred leaves from my back yard  and tossed them over the south fence into the yard where the tree is located. It won't do any good because the leaves are still falling but it is good bending exercise. Lord only knows I need all the exercise I can get after sitting day after day reading  for the past two years. Now I need to go water the flowerbed at the mailbox and the hanging plant at the front door.

I got that done and everything has been watered until evening.  

 So more even later...

I got my hair done about 9:15AM and then went to the library to read. I read until time to go to the senior center to play Bunco.

We played Bunco until 3:00PM and I won with the most Buncos. David gave me $10.00 for that. I only had four dollars so that gave me some more money until next Wednesday when I get my social security. That raise in my car insurance really hurt my July budget. I had a good time and enjoyed the fellowship too.

It's 3:43PM now and I have been reading and it is 5:02 PM now. I haven't eaten anything for lunch or dinner yet. I just had the treats that were brought for the Bunco game. I may go buy a kid's Wacky Pack for $2.18 out at Sonic. That would give me something for supper. 

I contacted Krystal to see if she could mow for me this evening since we are forecast for rain tomorrow. She is at softball practice for her girls and can't do it. I think I will wait until later this evening and try to do it myself. I can wait until almost dark to do it. I will start with the back. It's the smallest...and see how it goes.  It needs to be done. It's been over a week.

I went out front to water the flowers and Stephen was out there cleaning out the guttering. He had been mowing and was soaked with sweat. He said he always does that. I told him when it got cooler this evening I was going to mow my yard starting with the back yard. And I was going to wait until it cooled down quite a bit before I did it. He volunteered to do what little I had...mostly around the edges where it has grown. He said not to try to mow it myself. Most of it has not even grown because of the heat but it was mostly just shaggy around the edges. He insisted on doing it himself. I am going to bake him some Cinnamon Swirl Crumb Cake to take home and share with Dee Anna and eat with their coffee.

He is also  going to clean out our guttering too and try to put the type on our guttering that lets the water drain and the leaves just wash off. I forget what it's called. We had it on our guttering over on Catalina in Coffeyville. It may have been called weather tech. I just don't recall.I see commercials about it from time to time.I will write it down next time I see the commercial.

About another ten minutes and that coffee cake will be done.I imagine Stephen wants to get home so just as soon as it is, I will take it over to him.

Then I will take my bath, put my pajamas on and read some more.

I plan to go to bed at 9:00PM as usual..unless I get into this book and can't put it down.

I got the coffeecake out of the oven and took it over to Stephen. 

Now I am going to trim on my hedge before I take my bath. 

I got the hedge trimmed a little and now I'm going to take my bath.

I took my bath and put my pajamas on and now I will read for awhile before I go to bed.

My granddaughter, Christina, texted me this evening with her new telephone number. I entered it  into my phone. We texted back and forth for awhile.

Tuesday and Air Conditioning Problems

I slept well again last night and was only up once in the night and got right back to sleep until 5:00AM or so.

I managed to keep the air conditioning going as much as I needed it throughout the night. It was 79 degrees in the apartment when I got back from Bartlesville. Just like the day before when it was 80 degrees. I put the thermostat on "on" to get it going and then after awhile I put it back on "auto" and it stayed going the rest of the night just fine. I could hear it well from the den so I kept track of it by staying in the den all evening..

My Kindle was charging so I couldn't read my book. When I got up that one time in the night it was fully charged so I took it off the charger. I can read today. And since it didn't rain I will water the plants again morning and afternoon

I will go vote first thing this morning and then stay home here the rest of the day. I don't want to miss the air conditioner guy.

Now I will go watch for the weather report and check to see if the cats are out there this morning for their breakfast. 

Both cats were out there for breakfast. I fed them and the are finished and I need to get the cat food in the garage.

It took a couple of 8's before I was able to get the weather forecast. Today is to be 102 degrees and mostly sunny, Wednesday will also be 102 degrees and partly cloudy,  Thursday will be 98 degrees partly cloudy, Friday is to be 98 degrees and partly cloudy, Saturday will be 100 and mostly sunny, Sunday will be 99 degrees and partly cloudy and Monday will be 100 degrees and partly cloudy. Another terribly hot week with no rain. That's August for us.

I went as soon as the polls opened and voted. I wanted to be home when the air conditioning man came.

The air conditioning man got here about 11:15AM and worked on checking out the thermostat and sure enough, that's what it was. He put a new thermostat in and turned it on and that was the problem. He thought it might just be the batteries but he put new batteries in it first and it still didn't work so he brought in  new thermostat and that worked. It was 79 degrees in here and it will take about 30 minutes to get it down to 77 for  daytime. I keep it a little cooler at night...down to 75 and I use the new ceiling fan then too. But I am so glad he got here before it really gets hot this afternoon.

I texted with Joanne Stoner this afternoon and she is in the process of moving to Independence, Kansas, to be near her son and daughter-in-law. She will live in the Booth residences at 201 West Main, Apt.2 B. The Stoner kids ( her son and daughter-in-law and grand kids ) will be moving nearby her in the house they have redone in Independence. I imagine she will go to church with them at the Methodist Church since she doesn't drive much anymore. I imagine she could drive in Independence, Kansas, since it's just a small community unlike Independence, Missouri. But she may not. She's my age but a lot of folks my age no longer drive.

I have been reading this afternoon and finished my latest book.

Then I went to the market and bought some cupcakes for Bunco tomorrow afternoon at the senior center. It's 6:13PM now and I will plan to go to take my bath at 7:00PM. and put on my pajamas and robe. I may start another book after that. I intend to go to bed around 9:00PM again this evening.

 

Monday and A Trip to see Nancy

I slept well last night after I got the air conditioner working. It appears to be working now. Stephen is going to try to have someone come check out the thermostat tomorrow. He wanted to do it today but I knew how disappointed Nancy would be if I didn't make it down to see her. I had promised her we would come up to Caney for lunch at Eggbert's here where she could see people she knew. I will be gone early Wednesday too but will get my hair done at 9:00AM and then get right back home afterward. He will see when the air conditioning man can come. Right now it is working fine and the apartment is cool but who knows how long that will be the case. I really think it is the thermostat but of course, I don't know for sure. It just seems odd that I can turn it off and then back on and it will work again.

I stripped my bed and remade it and am washing the sheets and towels now and my pajamas and underwear. They are all in the dryer now. 

It's 6:40AM now and I have just been eating my breakfast here in the den. I will need to get milk today. I finished what I had on hand today.

It's August 1st so this is going to be another scorcher month.

Both cats were out there this morning for their breakfast. I took it out to them and they are eating hungrily.  And when I turned on the TV, the weather forecast was just coming on. I rushed in the den to get the phone to take a photo of it. 

Today is forecast to be 99 degrees and sunny. Tuesday will be 101 degrees and sunny, Wednesday will be 103 degrees and Mostly sunny, Thursday will be 96 degrees and partly cloudy, Friday will be 99 degrees and partly cloudy, Saturday will be 98 degrees and mostly sunny, Sunday will be 99 degrees and partly cloudy.  That's the weather forecast for the next week. In other words, no rain and hot, hot, hot. Definitely August!

The cats have eaten and are gone now. I will get that food in the garage before the ants find it. 

I got the laundry out of the dryer, folded it and put it away for another week and it's only 7:27AM.

It's 8:03AM now and I have just watered the flowerbeds again.   There no rain in the forecast this week and I will probably have to water morning and night again. I went out this morning and picked up the leaves from my neighbor to the south's leaves from his tree. I can always use the bending exercise.

If the yard dries this week, I will have it mowed.

More even later.... I watered all the flowers before I left. 

I didn't leave to see Nancy until 11;00AM. I had been reading and lost track of time. I got there at 11:30AM and had her dress so we could go to Caney and have lunch at Eggbert's there and then take a drive around town. She came to my apartment and we visited for awhile and then I took her back to assisted living  about 4:00PM.We had a nice visit and a nice drive. I bought gas at Miller Brothers there. It was $3.85 a gallon.

It's 5:41PM now. I am tired but I got a lot done today. Nancy was very happy to see me and she even saw people she knew at Eggbert's. After I left her I went to wash my car at Mr. Kleen in Bartlesville and then I vacuumed it out.  It's the best car wash around and they have a dozen vacuums so you can get it really clean.

I will vote tomorrow in the primary. I think it's at City Hall.

I checked over my check book. I will be glad when Wednesday the 10th is here. That's when I get my social security. I have bills to pay again. Luckily most of them are scheduled for later in the month.

I need to go get some milk. I am nearly out and don't have enough for breakfast tomorrow.

I went to the market and bought milk and water. One of the boys there checking said he was a science buff and he tested the Caney water and found it had a lot of lead in it. I am glad I only drink bottled water and always have since I moved to Caney. I get a report from the city of Caney every year telling me there are two "chemicals" left in Caney water and so I have never drunk it. If one of the chemicals is lead, I am glad I don't drink it and never have.  

The air conditioning has been erratic today. I tried turning it off and on like yesterday but that didn't work when I tried it today. So I moved it off "auto" and on to "on" and it ran fine that way. Stephen said it might freeze up that way though so I put it back on "auto" and it started working again..  It's very erratic. But for now it's working.

I will be home all day tomorrow just in case the air conditioning man can make it.

The primary is tomorrow and I will vote at city hall if that is where they are holding it this time. I will go early so I can get back just in case the air conditioning man is available tomorrow.  I hope he calls me before he comes just in case there is a line to vote. I can always slip out of the line and go home if he is available.

It's 7:50PM now and I will take my bath and put my pajamas on and be prepared to go to bed at 9:00PM or so, My Kindle is charging again so I can't read again until it's charged.

Sunday and Church

I slept well last night and was up at 5:30AM. I have made my bed and got myself ready for the day. As usual, I am having my breakfast here in the den. It's 6:30AM now...a little later than usual. I haven't checked the weather outside yet but the sidewalk is dry so I am assuming it didn't rain at all last night. I did get up in the night once and took my meds and then went right back to sleep without a problem.

Scruff came last evening for supper but I never did see Blondie. I haven't been in the living room yet to turn on the TV for the weather or check on the cats.

I will do that now and get back to this afterward. 

Both cats were out there for their breakfast this morning. First it was just  Scruff but by the time I got the cat food ready and out there, Blondie came over too. They appear to be finished now. Blondie is still laying on the doormat out there but Scruff has gone to her usual resting place under the hedge.

I am hoping they will run the weather forecast now that it's 6:48AM. 

Sure enough.they did.

Today's forecast is 91 degrees with clouds in the AM but I see no rain in the forecast now. Monday is to be 97 degrees and sunny, Tuesday 101 degrees and sunny, Wednesday 102 degrees and mostly sunny, Thursday 96 degrees and AM thunderstorms, Friday is to be 95 degrees and mostly sunny and Saturday 97 degrees and mostly sunny. It looks like they took most of the rain out of the forecast this week. 

The cats are gone now, They came back to the bowl before they finished, ate some more and then left.

More later... I want to get that cat food back in the garage and cover it before the ants find it.

I have been watching the Good Morning America this morning. Another police death of a black woman. They arrested her and she insisted she had had nothing to drink. But they handcuffed her and put her in the back seat of the police car. They forgot to close the back seat passenger side door. When they pulled away from the curb, she fell out of the patrol car and had a serious head injury. She died at the hospital. The police said she jumped out of the vehicle but they later learned that was just a lie to try to cover up their neglect. What a mess! Always something.... and it's always a black person.

It's 10:00AM now and I am leaving for church.I want to get there early enough to do  a little  cleaning.

Rick and Carmen were at church today and we had a pretty good sized congregation for us.The only ones that were not there were Billie Jo,  Gene, and Karan. Karan was having her entire family this week because her 80th birthday was Wednesday. They were all celebrating it.They were going to leave today but she didn't know what time and she didn't want to rush them off. I will write all three and send them a letter and a bulletin.

Melissa had a very good sermon.

Phyllis and Carmen and Rick and I went to "Just Us" for lunch after church. We had a good visit. Afterward I took Phyllis back to church to get her car and then came on back home myself.

It's 2:18PM now. I will get those letters out.

I got the letters out on the mailbox and I put copies of the bulletin in them.

Then I went out and watered the flower beds and even picked up the leaves in my back yard from the tree in the back yard next door to the south. It's really too hot to do that.. as I found out when I came back in. I opened a bottle of water and drank from it..But I need to drink some more. I don't know what the temperature is out there but it is too hot to be out there for any time at all. According to my phone it is 89 degrees out there.

I guess I will go read and cool down.

I got busy reading my latest book and lost track of the time. I missed most of the Mission Center worship service. It was over half finished before I joined the group. It's 6:39PM now. It looked like a very good service no more then I saw.

I put the book away and came in and logged on to Zoom  but I was way too late.

In a little bit I will take my bath and put my pajamas and robe on and get back to it. I started to take my bath and realized the air conditioner was not working. I looked at the temperature and it is 81 degrees in here. I turned the air down even lower and nothing happened. I went out side to check it and it was not running. I came back in and turned it off and then switched it back on and eventually it came on. I don't know if it is blowing cool air though.  I climbed up on the bed and put my hand over the cooling vent in the ceiling. It appears to be blowing cool air now but it doesn't feel like cold air yet.

No, it just went off again.I don't know whether it's the thermostat or the air conditioner itself.

I turned off again and then on again at the thermostat and it's working again..I don't know how long it will work though before it goes off again.

I had planned to go to bed at 9:00PM or so but I will give it some time and see if it continues to work.

It went off again and I turned the thermostat off and on again and it started again. It's down to 79 degrees in here now.

The air conditioner has stopped working several times and I turn the thermostat off and on and it begins to work again. That has happened at least three times. It's still working now but I have no idea how long it will work. I guess I will play it by ear. I have texted Stephen about it but haven't heard back from him yet. They may be out for the evening.

So far..so good, It's still working. I guess I will go take my bath now. It is 8:33PM.

Stephen called me and asked me about the air conditioning. I told him I thought he was out for the night with his wife. He had been mowing the yard and didn't see my texts. So far the air is still working. It finally went off to 75 degrees. I hope it will continue to run if gets hot again.

I went in the living room and read until 10:45PM and then I was ready to go to bed .
