Friday and a Mission Center Conference at Springfield

Leslie called me last evening and asked me if I was planning on going to the Mission Center Conference at Springfield. I had forgotten which weekend it was so I was glad to be reminded. I am to go to their house today and put my luggage and pillow and sleeping bag in her car. Then I will put my car in Leslie's garage.  We will take her car... so I packed most everything last evening and loaded it into my car this morning. I will drive out to their house at 9:30AM this morning. We will still be coming back home on Saturday. It's just an overnight conference.

Karan had planned to go too but she forgot she is to work the front   desk at the Coffeyville hospital on Fridays.

And the man that sprays the apartment will be here to spray while I  am gone.. to do his annual spraying.

It's a good thing I have this blog. I was expecting to be going to a retreat and instead I am going to a Mission Center conference. Thank goodness Leslie reads the blog. That's fine. I always enjoy those too and see lots of people I know and enjoy some really good food.

I did catch "the weather on the 8's" and here it is. Today will be 94 degrees and sunny, Saturday is to be 93 degrees and sunny, Sunday is to be 88 degrees and sunny, Monday is to be 82 degrees and sunny, Tuesday is to be 83 degrees and partly cloudy, Wednesday is to be 86 degrees and mostly sunny and Thursday is to be 87 degrees and  sunny. That's the week! Five days of sunny, One day of partly cloudy and one day of mostly sunny.

It's beginning to rain now, I see! At least the concrete is wet.

Thursday and Copan Lunch

I was up at 5:00AM this morning and dressed, made my bed and got myself ready for the day. I plan to go to Copan for lunch today at 11:30AM. Hopefully the weather will be nice. The forecast all week has been sunny.

The cats ate a lot yesterday.. morning and evening. I did too. I ate  a bowl of Rocky Road ice cream yesterday afternoon. It was very good. I will have to be careful not to overeat and gain weight. 

I guess I will go check the weather and maybe the cats too.

Today is to be 94 degrees and sunny. Friday is to be 92 degrees and sunny, Saturday is to be  93 degrees and sunny, Sunday is to be 88 degrees and sunny.  Monday is to be 93 degrees and sunny, Tuesday is to be 84 degrees and mostly sunny, Wednesday is to be 86 degrees and sunny. That's the week! Mostly sunny again!

I still haven't checked on the cats I had better do that now .

I found three black cats and Blondie waiting for their food. I will need to get some more wet cat food today at Dollar General.. 

And I had two more packages of pecans for my coffeecake for Sunday.

More Even Later.. I also want to see if they have any more pecan pieces for my coffeecake for next Sunday. Sure enough..I did. I will watch for more pecans. They had walnuts but I want pecans for my  coffeecake. I will watch for more.

Before I went to Copan Restaurant for my lunch. I mowed my front yard and the west side. It's a nice day and if I can still mow the back yard, I will do that this afternoon. My neighbor across the street saw me trying to start the mower and came over and asked me if I would let him try to start the mower for me. He got it done just fine. That was nice of him.

If it stays easy to start. I will get the back done too. I also got all the leaves in the black plastic bag and and the bag in the dumpster put the mower back in the garage. 

All I have to do is the back yard now. And it is easy to do. It's smaller then the front and west side.

Wednesday and Bunco

I slept well last night but woke up before midnight. It was 11:51PM when I got out of bed. I made my bed, dressed and got myself ready for the day. It is still before midnight...Barely. I will go over to Coffeyville for Bunco this afternoon after I get my hair done this morning at 9:00AM. It is Wednesday now.

Tuesday and a Good Night's Sleep

 I was awake at 5:30AM, made my bed, dressed, and got myself ready for the day. It is 6:33AM now. I am cleaning my keyboard now. It is smudged from using it.

I haven't checked on the cats or "the weather on the 8's" yet.

I would like some Chai Latte and a breakfast bar but the Keurig is leaking again and it needs cleaning. I am tempted to buy a new one. They are sometimes on sale but usually around the holidays.

That's a whole week of sunny.

Next I will check on the cats.. 

Blondie and Grey were out there so I took some cat food out to the both of them.The wet cat food had been in the frig but they ate it anyhow.  When Dollar General opens at 8:00AM, I will have to go buy more wet cat food. Surely the others will be around by then. It's 7:50AM right now.

I went to Dollar General to get wet cat food but that and typing paper was all I could get, They had no pecan pieces.

Monday and Cleaning the Apartment

I woke up very early, made my bed and got myself ready for the day. I had my Chai Latte and a breakfast bar for a light breakfast.

At 7:00AM, I fed 4 cats. They were Blondie, Grey and two small black cats. 

Then I caught "the weather on the 8's" and here it is. 

Today is to be 90 degrees and sunny, Tuesday is to be 79 degrees and sunny, Wednesday is to be 87 degrees and sunny, Thursday is to be 93 degrees and sunny. Friday is to be 90 degrees and sunny Saturday is to be 90 degrees and  sunny, and Sunday is to be 89 degrees and sunny. That's the week! An entire week of sunny.

I lack only the  den to be swept. I got the rest of it done. I even went up to the Mainstreet garage and had Sherry's brother drive my car. Neither of us heard the clattering noise today. Who knows what it was. I sure don't. He didn't either.

Sunday and Coffeecake at Church

I fed several cats this morning and again this afternoon, I left for church early and it was almost too sunny to drive with the sun so bright. I managed though. The sun was very bright. I got to church and cut my coffee cake into pieces for each of us. There were nine of us in attendance. Billie Jo was back with us but Gene didn't come. I got the letter out too late. He will probably get his tomorrow or Tuesday.

Leslie had the service. She did a good job. 

Stephen will come over Tuesday and pick up his coffeecake.

Sunday and Coffeecake

I woke up at 4:00AM, dressed and made up my face and my bed and got myself ready for the day. I never did get the apartment cleaned this week. I will try to get to it sometime today. I will be going to church  this morning so it will probably be this afternoon before I get it done. But it needs to be done. 

I need to check on the cats too. But not right away. It's only 4:46AM now. I will also need to check on "the weather on the 8's" eventually.

There was one little black cat waiting for it's breakfast and a strange one I have never seen before. It ran off when I raised the garage door to take their food out to them.
