Saturday and Laundry

I slept well again last night and was up only once to take my two meds then I got right back to sleep.. Then at 5:00AM, as usual, I got up and started my laundry. It's in the dryer now. I have fed Blondie and given him fresh water.  He drank a lot. He's gone now and I just put the laundry in the dryer. I just got "the weather on the 8's" too.

Today is to be 96 degrees and partly cloudy, tomorrow is to be 95 degrees and sunny, Monday is to be 93 degrees and sunny, Tuesday is to be 93 degrees and partly cloudy, Wednesday is to be 101 degrees and partly cloudy, Thursday is to be 102 degrees and partly cloudy, Friday is to be 98 degrees and partly cloudy. No rain in this forecast but lots of high temperatures!

More Later...I haven't had my breakfast yet and it's 7:00AM. 

All right! I have had my breakfast now and want to take my walk soon. 

I took my walk at 7:20AM and got back home at 7:50AM. I got very little trash today. What I did get, I put in my trash dumpster. 

Now I hear my dryer is finished and I need to fold clothes and put them away. 

I got the clothes folded and put away. Then I called my niece, Denise, and asked her to go to lunch with me. She agreed so I drove over to north West Coffeyville and picked her up and we had a nice lunch at Eggbert's in Coffeyville. We also had a good visit. Then I took her home and came home myself. It was 2:06PM by that time. 

She gave me another bag of books to read and donate to the Caney library after I read them.

More Even Later.. 

I started one of those books and so far it's o.k.  

I took my bath just before 7:00PM and put my pajamas and robe on and will read some more until 9:00PM or so. I notice my feet and ankles are swollen again this evening. I took my blood pressure and it was high. It's usually 139/78 but this evening it is 164/81 so before I go to reunion I will need to see the doctor and see what he has to say. I will call the doctor's office on Monday and see if I can get in to see him anytime soon. This is June 24th so I have some time before the camp. Reunion (church family camp) is July 8th through July 14th.

I will go read some more until my bedtime. 

Friday and Reading

I slept pretty well last night and was only up once and then got right back to sleep. I got up at my usual 5:00AM. I am having my breakfast here in the den now......my usual oatmeal and breakfast bar, coffee and Chai Latte. 

My feet are not swollen this morning.  After I had that warm bath last night, the swelling went away. It must have been from sitting there for a couple of hours watching the game that caused them to swell. I can't remember when that happened last. I guess I will go check on Blondie and also the "weather on the 8's.

Blondie was out there and just as soon as I fed him, the weather forecast came on too. He is gone now.

Today is to be 92 degrees and partly cloudy, Saturday is to be 97 degrees and mostly sunny, Sunday is to be 96 degrees and sunny, Monday is to be 93 degrees and sunny, Tuesday is to be  93 degrees and sunny, Tuesday is to be 93 degrees and partly cloudy, Wednesday is to be 99 degrees and partly cloudy, and Thursday is to be 104 degrees and Partly cloudy. That's the week,,,no rain in the week's forecast.

More Later...it's 6:00AM and I will wait awhile to take my walk. 

I took my walk at 7:25AM and got back home at 7:55AM. I saw Blondie down at the corner and he followed me for awhile before going his own way. I didn't get a lot of trash...but some. When I got back home I put the trash sack in my dumpster.

I guess I will go read awhile now. It's 8:00AM now.

It's 9:30AM now and I have been reading for awhile. I am trying to think of a way to stand up the lilies around the mailbox. I finally used a rubber band and attached it to the mailbox and the lily that was laying down.

Janet Reynolds of the senior center just called me and offered me the hedge trimmer at the senior center. She remembered I had borrowed it one time and she needed to get rid of it and is going to save it for me next Wednesday when I go to game day. I am delighted! I have just had to trim my hedge one branch at a time and it never looks good that way.

More Even Later..I went down to Copan and had a bowl of their beef vegetable soup...with iced tea...delicious!

Now I will read awhile more. I am not crazy about this author but I have the book from the Caney library so I will try to finish it.

More Later...

I have read almost all afternoon and worked some in my flowerbeds too. There was a small tree growing in the one in the back yard and I cut it out of there and put it in the dumpster.

I also watched the CBS evening news. 

It is 6:17PM now and I am thinking about taking my bath early. I would like to have something cool and smooth to drink first. I may go out to Sonic and get a blast. I'll mull that over.

 

Thursday and Dusting

I slept pretty well last night and was up at my usual 5:00AM. I dressed, made my bed and got myself ready for the day. I am having my breakfast here in the den now. I have checked twice for Blondie but so far, no cat.

I did get "the weather on the 8's" though.  Today is to be 89 degrees mostly sunny, tomorrow is to be 91 degrees partly cloudy and Saturday is to be 96 degrees and mostly sunny, Sunday is to be 96 degrees and mostly sunny, Monday is to be 92 degrees and sunny, Tuesday is to be 91 degrees and AM showers, and Wednesday is to be 99 degrees and partly cloudy. That's the week! One day of rain and that's Tuesday. That's another day of Cheyenne's softball games.They are basically on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Blondie finally came for his breakfast and this time he ate a lot more. It's 6:38AM now and I am thinking of taking my walk. I will take a trash bag with me...just in case there is some more trash. 

I left for my walk at 7:05AM and got back home at 7:33AM. So I made pretty good time. There wasn't much trash but I got what there was. When I got home, I tied up the sack and put it in my dumpster.

Now I will read. After I read and rest up a bit, I will dust the apartment. 

I have been reading a new author's book and I am not impressed. I got this one at the Caney Library. I started it yesterday evening and it has a very lame plot. It is 10:40AM so I have the rest of the day to work out the dusting. 

I plan to go watch Cheyenne's game tonight at 7:30PM. They lost Tuesday night. They need a new pitcher. Most of her pitches are either on the ground or well over the head of the umpire.

Then I watered the flowers outside. They were very dry and looked like they didn't have long to live. It's 82 degrees already and it's only 10:43AM. I also swept off the back doormat. 

More Even Later...

I read most of the afternoon. First though, I picked up Sally and we went to Independence and had lunch at Big Cheese then went by the Dairy Queen and had a small blizzard for dessert.

Cheyenne's game starts at 7:30PM and I will leave here for the ball field at 7:00PM  so I can get a good parking place.

The game probably won't be over until at least 9:00PM. I will come home and take my bath after that and go straight to bed.

 

Wednesday and Bunco

 I slept pretty well last night. i was up fairly early but that's just the way it is.

I have made my bed, dressed and got myself ready for the day. I have even fed Blondie and myself. It is 6:55AM now.

I will get my hair done in Coffeyville at 9:00AM and then read in the car until 1:00PM when Bunco begins at the senior center. 

I have even got the weather forecast for the week. 

Today is to be 92 degrees partly cloudy, tomorrow is to be 89 degrees and partly cloudy, Friday is to be 91 degrees and mostly sunny, and  Saturday is to be 96 degrees and AM thunderstorms, Sunday is to be 98 degrees and mostly sunny, Monday is to be 93 degrees and sunny, and  Tuesday is to be 94 degrees and mostly sunny. Again, it looks like a hot week and only one day of rain.Today is the first day of summer so it will only get worse.

I should take my walk while it is cool enough at 71 degrees and do that comfortably.Then I will read awhile until 8:15AM when I will drive to Coffeyville for my hair appointment and later Bunco. 

More Later... 

I got my hair done  at 9:00AM and went to the library at Coffeyville and read until time to go to the senior center. Then when I got to the senior center I set up the tables and chairs for Bunco. I played Bunco from 1:00 until 3:30 and for once I won  $5.00 for the most wins.

I got home at 3:56PM and my mower was trimming my trees. He said some of the branches were hanging down over where he was trying to mow.

I will read awhile and later go out to Sonic and buy the Wacky Pack...a child's dinner. Here in Caney, that is $2.08. on Wednesdays.  

I had a good time playing Bunco. Next Wednesday is game day...Skipbo.. Then the 5th of July is Bunco again.  

I am going to take my bath now. I have trimmed around the curbs on the mowing job and am hot and sweaty. I will read after I take my bath and get my pajamas on and my robe. I don't intend to go to bed until 9:00PM or shortly after.

Tuesday and Apartment Cleaning.

I slept fairly well last night and was up at my usual 5:00AM, made my bed, dressed and got myself ready for the day. I have had my breakfast while waiting for the "weather on the 8's" to come on the TV. I was also waiting for Blondie to come for his breakfast but so far, no cat. I bought some new cat food so I hope he comes for his breakfast.

Today is to be 94 degrees and sunny, tomorrow is to be 92 degrees and partly cloudy, Thursday is to be 89 degrees and partly cloudy, Friday is to be 92 degrees and partly cloudy, Saturday is to be 96 degrees AM thunderstorms, and Sunday is to be 97 degrees and partly cloudy, Monday is to be 94 degrees and sunny. That's the week's weather. Only one day of rain again. 

Blondie came for his breakfast before I started my cleaning  and I fed him the new food with the gravy on it and he ate better and left. I took the food back into the garage and covered it..

I got the bare floors mopped and the carpets vacuumed. Cleaning the filters is a job though.  I have tried to buy two new ones but I can't find the site to buy them so I just work hard cleaning the two that came with the vacuum sweeper with the small brush for that job..

I will need to dust tomorrow evening. I am really exhausted today.

I have Bunco at the senior center after my hair appointment tomorrow. That hair appointment is at 9:00AM. I will take my books and read outside the library there until 1:00PM when Bunco begins.

More Later...

It's 10:15AM and I have been reading all morning...ever since I finished the cleaning.

I may take my walk now although it's later then usual. I still need to get out of that chair and get some exercise.

So..More Later...

I took my walk at 10:20AM and won't do that again. It was 85 degrees and too hot for my mile walk. And I got very little trash!

I got back at 10:52AM.. Now I will go back to my book.

More Later..

It's 3:03PM and I have just finished another book. I will take it up to the library and drop it in the book drop. I had a peanut butter and jelly sandwich for my lunch. I need to go to the market and get some oleo. I am out of it.  I got what I needed from the Caney Market.

I will go to Cheyenne's softball game this evening. It starts at 6:00PM at the Caney ball park. I am not sure what field she will be playing at. But I will either text Jeromy to find out or just take a chance it's the same field they have been playing on.

I just texted Jeromy. Maybe he will answer me. 

He did and she was playing on the same field. I got home about 7:30PM and took my bath right away and put my pajamas and robe on. I plan to go to bed at 9:00PM.

Cheyenne's team lost the game 8 to 14 I think it was. They really need to train a pitcher. They tried three girls to pitch and none of them were really any good. Many of their pitches went right over the head of the Umpire or rolled almost at his feet.. But I enjoyed watching the game.

Again tomorrow is my hair appointment at 9:00AM and Bunco later at 1:00PM to 3:30PM. If the weather holds up, I will get the yard mowed tomorrow afternoon.

 

Monday and A Trip to see Nancy

I slept restlessly last night. I was out of Melatonin and had forgotten to go to Dollar General to get more. I will need to get some this morning before I go to Bartlesville. I was up an hour earlier then usual. I will  be extra tired this evening.

I just checked to see if Blondie was out there for his breakfast but he wasn't.  I will check again soon when I turn on the TV for "the weather on the 8's".  

I never got around to cleaning this past week. I will need to get that done either today or tomorrow. 

I am dressed and ready for the week but I am tired this morning from lack of sleep. I had probably better clean tomorrow. And tomorrow Cheyenne will have another softball game too....probably at 6:30 PM...but I will check with Jeromy on the time later on this morning before I leave for Bartlesville.

I checked again on Blondie but he still was not out there. I did catch the weather forecast for the week though.

Again, only one day of rain forecast for this week. 

Blondie finally came for his breakfast. I took it out to him and he ate and was gone very quickly. He appears to be losing weight and he doesn't eat a lot and leaves. I might need to buy some better or even something different in cat food to be able to tempt him to eat better. There was nothing I was interested in on the news. So I turned the TV off.

I may take my walk. I see someone..perhaps Stephen.. cleaned up that big limb that was laying on the ground under his tree.  

I left for my walk at 7:35AM and got home at 8:00AM. I had hardly any trash to pick up today. Of course, I picked it up yesterday but that has never discouraged those who toss trash into the street before.

It is a nice mild day with a temperature at 67 degrees at this time of day...perfect for my walk. 

More Later...I want to check out the library and the Dollar General Store.  I need to get some books and my Melatonin.

I got my Melatonin and after I got back from Bartlesville, I went to the library and got two more books to read.

A couple of young boys came by this morning and asked me if I knew my neighbor had a huge tree limb down. I hadn't been out yet so I didn't know either. They asked me if I had my landlord's telephone number so they could tell him about it. I thought a minute and then I decided to give it to them. They called Stephen and told him about it and he has hired their dad to clean it up.

Later, I was concerned about having given his telephone number to them and wondered what on earth I had been thinking. I texted Stephen and told him what I had done and apologized for it. He told me it was o.k. because he got their father to clean it up for him. When I took my walk, I noticed it was cleaned up well.

Nancy was not interested in getting up and getting dressed or going to meet Sally for lunch so I visited with her for an hour or two and then came back home. I may not be going down there to see her every week. I may make it every other week. That's a lot of gas for a one to two hour visit. She didn't even get out of bed. She said she was feeling achy. Dale had told me that if she didn't want to get dressed, she would say she wasn't feeling well. Maybe that's the situation now. Who knows.

Later this evening I heard from Stephen again after I saw the Tulsa news and saw they had had a tornado or some very strong winds and there was lots of damage in that area and many Tulsa people had no power at all. Stephen and his wife live in Owasso which is just south of Tulsa. and they had some tree limb damage but did not lose their electricity. Thank God for that!

I am getting ready to take my bath and put my pajamas and robe on and read some more. I plan to go to bed about 9:00PM tonight after having such a restless night last night. It's 6:24PM now.

It's 7:08 now and I will go read on my library book until bedtime.

I will clean the apartment tomorrow. So I hope I get better sleep!

 

 

Sunday and Breakfast at Church

I slept well again last night and was up at my usual 5:00AM. I am dressed, have made my bed and checked on Blondie the feral cat. He hasn't been by yet for his breakfast.

Thursday is to be 91 degrees and partly cloudy, Friday is to be 92 degrees and mostly sunny, and Saturday is to be 94 degrees and AM showers.  That's the week ...one day of rain... next Saturday.

My coffeecake is in the oven baking and I have the timer set so I won't over bake it.

Blondie finally came for his breakfast at 7:08AM...kind of late for him. But he doesn't have Scruff to compete with anymore since she died.

I got my coffeecake baked and iced. had a small piece of last week's. I had intended to give that leftover coffeecake to Sally but forgot to do it. For one thing, she was late getting to her breakfast on Monday and I finally gave up on her and just went on home. I have the coffeecake in a zip lock bag and I just had a piece of it warmed up in the microwave and it's still very good. But I will take the new coffeecake I just baked to the church breakfast. This is Father's Day so I hope attendance will be good today.

It's trying to rain or I would take my walk this morning.  It would be just my luck for me to get six blocks on it and have it begin to rain on me. I guess I could take an umbrella.

More Later...

I just took a chance it wouldn't rain and it didn't.  I left here at 8:35AM and just got back home. at 8:57AM. I took the book I finished yesterday to the library's book drop and dropped it in. Then I finished my walk. I got another full sack of trash.

I went early to Coffeyville to go to the bank and get my week's money out of my checking account. Then I went out to the Woodshed and filled my car up with gas.

Melissa did a good job with the sermon today. Afterward Phyllis and Karan and I went to Eggbert's in Coffeyville and had lunch. We also had a nice breakfast at church.

After I got home I made up my six letters and got them in the mail. Then I read most of the afternoon and later I went out to Sonic and had a small cherry limeade slush.

Now I will take the second book back to the library and put it in the book drop. While reading earlier this morning, I found I had already read it.
