This morning Bob and I are going to go for our usual breakfast at Eggberts then I will need to go to work at 9:00 for two hours. I lost four hours when the library closed for the ice and snow on Wednesday. I will make up two of them today and the other two next Saturday morning. At 11:00, when I get off, we will go to Bartlesville. Bob wants to go to Bed and Bath and get some foaming hand soap. I want to look around at Christopher and Banks for a pair of brown dress slacks. I may not find them. It appears brown is not "in" this year.
I slept well again last night...although I forgot to eat anything last evening.
Tonight I must remember to set my clock forward one hour for daylight savings time. Otherwise I will be late for church school and church tomorrow.
I bought a couple of bottles of wine yesterday.....one red and one white. We were completely out and we like wine with our TV each evening that Bob comes over. We just have one small glass.
More later....
Bob and I went into the mall after eating at Dink's and he bought his soap. I didn't even look at Christopher and Banks. I decided to inventory what I already had before buying anything else.
When we got home, I discover my Keurig order had arrived. So I called Bob and he came over and picked his up. We got a real bargain.
He will possibly come back over this evening for wine. I don't really know. Right now I am sitting here drinking some of my Chi Latte. I really like some of that warm drink in my stomach after a long day. It's very soothing.
I worked on my March 22nd sermon. It is coming up and I like to be prepared ahead of time.
More even later...
I set my clocks ahead and went to bed at 9:30. Bob didn't come over this evening. He was probably as tired as I was.

Another Friday Thank Goodness
I had another great night's sleep last night. I took two Aleve for my aches and pains before I went to bed and feel so much better this morning.
Our weather is warming up here. By Saturday it's supposed to be in the 60's. Later next week it's to be in the high 60's. I am really looking forward to that. I need to remember to move my clocks forward Saturday night when we enter daylight savings time. Otherwise, I will be an hour late for church. :)
Yesterday at work, about all I got done was putting away DVDs. The library was closed on Wednesday because of the ice and snow. So everyone took out DVDs for something to watch on TV while they were stuck at home. So dozens and dozens of them came back in yesterday. I did have a break the middle of the afternoon so I spent that time bundling newspapers. We keep two years of the local paper, six months of the area paper, and three months of all the others. So I bundled until I ran out of twine. I left a note for Katie and asked her to get some more twine. I have three more papers to weed out.
Last night I watched The Big Bang Theory and that was about all. Luckily I have books to read. Bob did come over for wine and The Big Bang Theory. He left after that and I took my bath and put my PJs on. I went to bed at 8:30 and slept without having to get up and slept until 5:30. I caught up on a lot of lost sleep.
We will have our leftover casserole for lunch today with brussel sprouts and salad. I believe we will have fruit for dessert. After exercise class we will go to Utopia for cinnamon rolls and coffee. They have those every other Friday.
More later....
It was a wild afternoon at the library. The kids were evidently celebrating Friday. Ihad to tell them three times to quiet down.
We close at 5:00 on Friday and Saturday but five minutes before we closed, several people came in and were not in any rush to leave. Elaine went over and told each of them we were closing in five minutes but nothing moved them. Finally at 4:58, they were told again. They reluctantly left. But at 4:58, another boy came in and took off for the back of the library. Elaine had to go chase him down and tel him we were closing and he needed to leave. At that point, I left....disgusted at these kids. It's a good thing I'm not rearing children in today's world. These kids are impossible.
There's nothing worth watching on TV tonight. I will read.

Thursday and Back to Work
Well, we had very little snow yesterday but it's very cold this morning. I looked and it's 10 degrees this morning and it's only going to warm up to 31 today. But the snow is nearly non existent. It's the ice under it that's treacherous. I will need to go get some milk today but I will need to be careful.
John, one of my classmates, came over yesterday afternoon with a proposal. He had responded to a request of a publisher for old people like us to share their past experiences with the past culture...a culture that is long past. This publisher is interested in having older people share their past experiences before we are gone. They are interested in such experiences as the ice delivery man and the milk being delivered to the front door by the milk man. John had shared those experiences. I shared the experience of the telephone operator and the movie theater when tickets were .14 for those under age14 and .45 cents for the adult matinee. The evening movie cost .60 for adults. With all these types of shared experiences, that should be an interesting book.
Bob decided to just stay home last night. It was warm there and he didn't want to get out again. Of course that was fine with me. I took my bath and put my PJs on and watched TV until 9:00 and then I went to bed. I slept well last night too.
We will have Karan's chili for lunch today. Tomorrow we will heat up the casserole we had yesterday.
More later....
We did have the chili and it was very good. Tomorrow we'll have our leftover casserole.
Tonight The Big Bang Theory is on and I imagine Bob will be over for that. After he leaves I will take my bath and put my PJs on because I am very tired tonight.

Wednesday and No Snow Yet
We were forecast for freezing rain and snow yesterday but it never developed. They are forecasting it for today now. The library had planned to close if we had received the freezing rain and snow. If it develops this morning they will call me...otherwise I will be going on to work this afternoon.
I slept very well again last night. It seems to be every other night that I get a good night's sleep.
I heard from my Tennessee friends Ron and Joyce yesterday. I was happy to hear they are both doing fine...health wise. They are having problems with their son but that has been a long term problem.
Today we will probably have exercise class too. ...unless the weather worsens. I am thinking of giving it up. There are a few people who take the opportunity to visit and their visiting precludes their exercises. My own feeling is if they want to visit, they should get together either before or after exercise class to visit and not disturb our exercise class with it. I'm not the only one disturbed with it but evidently I'm the only one who is really disturbed with it....enough to stop attending.
I will need to make a run to the store for a few things. When I was making the casserole yesterday morning, I attempted to put some pepper in the dish and the top came off the pepper shaker and almost all the pepper went into the casserole. There was nothing I could do about getting it out so I just washed it all down the garbage disposal. That's how we ended up eating Bobby and Karan's veggie soup.
Katie has gone to Kansas City today. I don't know how long she will be gone.....perhaps the rest of the week. Sara will sign my time sheet and get me to sign it and then fax it in to Aime. I get paid tomorrow. My salary is direct deposited.
More later....
The laptop Keith and Esther gave me last year has crashed twice now. I don't know what the problem is. After trying to get it back up again, I finally got it to respond after two or three tries. I hope it holds up. I have been backing everything up on the desktop computer just in case....
It's snowing now and they have cancelled the exercise class. The snow has begun. I don't know how much we'll get but there is ice under it.
More even later....
The library called and they closed at noon. So I didn't have to go to work this afternoon. I will make up the time lost the next two Saturdays by working two hours each Saturday. In the meantime, Karan and Bobby called and they had made a pot of chili and wanted to bring us some. I invited them over for the Mexican casserole since I didn't have to go to work and they just left at 1:30. That was nice! We had a good visit too. Tomorrow we will have their chili and I sent a bowl of the Mexican casserole home with them too. We will have the rest of ours on Friday.
I will read this afternoon. I have three books going at the same time. :)
Bob will be back over at 6:30 or 7:00 for Nature on PBS and a new program called My Yearbook in the place of Nova. I don't know what that is but will find out, I guess.

Tuesday and Hairdo Day
I'm going to Independence last this morning to get my hair washed and fixed. And it really needs it! I really need to find an operator here in Coffeyville. I may not always be able to get to Independence. This morning there is fog. Maybe it will be gone after the sun comes up.
Plans are jelling for the marriage in May of Scott and Ginger. Scott has offered to pay for airline tickets to bring his children and daughter in law to Coffeyville/Independence for that event. I don't know if they can get free for that or not at this point. Jerod is in the Coast Guard and both women are in school and have jobs too.
I plan to have a Rotel Chicken Mexican Casserole dish for lunch with a veggie. Bob will bring coleslaw. We may have pudding and cookies for dessert. While in Independence I need to go to their Wal Mart and get a few ingredients for that dish.
The beans and cornbread we had yesterday did not set well with my stomach. I finally got up about 4:30. I took a couple of Tums but they did not seem to help. I'm still a bit queasy.
More later....
I gave the rest of the beans and cornbread to Bobby and Karan and they brought me some veggie soup. That worked out well. Their soup was wonderful!
I worked all afternoon but mostly did DVD work and cleaned and repaired some too. I put away some new books.
Later Bob came over for wine and cookies and stayed until 7:00.when he went home I took my bath and put my PJs on and sat in the recliner with Missy in my lap. I couldn't stay awake there though so about 9:00, I just went on to bed.

Monday and Exercise Class
I slept pretty well last night. Finally I got up at 5:20 and gave Missy her treats and had a couple of cups of coffee myself and a banana.
Today we will go to exercise class. Before I went to bed last night I washed and soaked a half pound of beans for our lunch. I will fix some cornbread to have with it. I have fruit and cookies for dessert.
Yesterday afternoon, Scott and Ginger and Leslie and I planned their wedding. It will be done at my son-in-law and daughter's farm. It's beautiful out there and they have a lovely patio. Ginger really wanted it outside instead of at the church. So that's where we will hold the ceremony. I will need to get busy and plan the ceremony. Leslie and I have also decided to have a small reception. The marriage will be a small affair since there will only be about 14 there at most....just immediate family. They have invited Scott's children but they probably cannot attend. Jerod's wife, Melanie, is in school and Jerod, his son, is in the Coast Guard and they live in California. Ashley, his daughter, is also in college and has a full time job so she probably will not be able to attend. Ginger's children will come and stay in a motel with Ginger's mother. So there will mostly be Ginger's family there. Scott's brother, Keith, and his wife, Esther, will be there and of course, Scott's sister, Leslie, and her husband, John, whose farm they will be using....probably only 10 of us.
When I get home from exercise class the beans will probably be done. Around 11:00, I will fix the cornbread and get the fruit out of the freezer.
This evening there is a special about the life of John Denver on PBS and Bob will come over to watch it with me.
More later....
I kept busy at work today but the scanning will be finished after books are weeded out that are not being used and will be put out in the foyer for sale.
More later....
Bob came over for wine this evening and to watch a PBS special on the life of John Denver. After he left, I took my bath, put my PJs on and watched a little of another show on the history of the folk music craze.
I went to bed about 9:00.

Sunday and No Church
There is no church today. It snowed all day yesterday and now we have fog and freezing rain and ice. So I will stay in today and clean house. Depending on what the streets are like at noon, Bob and I may go eat at Sirloin Stockade and we will ask Phyllis to go with us. She may not want to go out but tomorrow we both will need to go to work.
I slept like a baby last night. Went to bed at 8:30 and woke up at 5:00.
Missy, my cat, has been sick all morning ever since I got up and drank my coffee. I have cleaned up six messes so far. I don't know whether it was a hairball or a stomach problem. It's Sunday so the vet is closed. I'm having to follow her around and clean up her messes. She's very subdued now.
More later....
Missy seems to be fine now. I have just finished vacuuming the apartment. I mopped both the kitchen and bathroom floors. I still have to dust but I'll do that later.
I had a text from my younger son, Scott. His girlfriend, Ginger, was able to get off work for a wedding in May after all. Someone traded with her. They will come on May 21st and be married Saturday, May 23rd. I am to marry them. Only the family will be invited. Since our church is so pretty, I will suggest we go there for the ceremony. I will have to ask Judge Cullins to waive the three day waiting period. I'll take care of that and find out if there's anything else they will need to get the paperwork for the ceremony. In the meantime, I will work on the actual ceremony. I will ask Ginger if there's anything in particular she'd like.
I cleaned the apartment this morning and washed the kitchen and bathroom floors. The place looks nice now.
Bob came over this morning to read the Sunday Reporter and was careful so we decided to go up to Sirloin Stockade for lunch. We called Phyllis and invited her and she's going too.
We had another storm alert until 3:00 this afternoon.
More later....
It warmed up above freezing this afternoon and melted a good bit of the snow. I was able to get to the bank with no trouble at all. Bob came over this evening and we watched 60 Minutes and we had wine and cookies and then when he went home, I took my bath and put my PJs on and watched another program before going to bed at 9:30.
