It's really chilly this morning and we are forecast for rain. I am ready for spring.
Bob and I went to breakfast this morning. Today, I will do some housework. It's been a week. I need to vacuum and dust and clean the bathroom and kitchen. And I think I will bake a coffeecake. I will take it to church tomorrow and then bring any leftovers home.
I bought Missy Kitty a little toy mouse with catnip in it and the old girl has had a great time playing with it. She carries it around in her mouth...by the tail. That's hilarious! I wish I could get a photo of it so I could post it here.
I will fix hamburgers and french fries for lunch today. We have some Coke that Bob bought and we will have that with it. That is our most unhealthy meal.... yet we have it every once in a while.
I have been following the loss of that airplane, Malaysia Airlines Flight MH370 on TV. From all we've heard, I believe that plane was hijacked.
More later....
We had our lunch and then we went to Independence to buy some Dilly Bars at the Dairy Queen there. They were on sale for one half price.
Bob will be over later this evening for our wine and to watch TV.

A Busy Friday
It was a busy Friday. For one thing, I didn't sleep well at all. I had raked and bagged some more leaves on Thursday and my arms hurt and my lower back hurt too. I should have taken an Aleve or two before bed but I didn't. I hate to take meds and take as few as possible.
I got up shortly before 5:00 and put my makeup on and dressed. Later this morning we went to exercise class. Afterward Marilyn wanted us to go to Utopia for coffee so we did. Then I came home and after doing some white laundry I fixed dinner. We had the pork cutlets, mashed potatoes and gravy and veggies. Bob brought over cottage cheese. I didn't have anything for dessert but we didn't need anything today. The dinner was filling.
I went to the bank this afternoon and then to the market. I needed frozen fruit for my dinner smoothie.
Marilyn called this afternoon and asked me to buy a DVD for her. It's the one we are using for our Sunday evening classes. It's called "Painting the Stars". She wants to give it to Howard and Judy for a gift. I have an account with "Living the Questions" so I ordered it for her. She will repay me when it comes in 3 to 5 days when it comes. .
This afternoon I lay down for awhile and Missy lay on my lap. I think I may have slept a little. Then later I read and watched the 5:00 news and after 6:00 Bob came over to watch TV with me and have a our usual small glass on wine.
He left awhile ago and I took my bath and put my pjs on and watched some more TV .
In the morning just before 7:00 we will go to breakfast at Eggberts.

An Interesting Thursday
Today was kind of interesting. I awoke in the early morning and finally got back to sleep. Then I slept until almost 7:30. Bob had gone on to his Lions Club meeting. When he got home he came over to see me and tell me about it. I was in the middle of making up my face and was not yet dressed. I answered the door in my pjs. He didn't stay but came back later and visited. We decided the day was too lovely to waste. So we decided to go on to Bartlesville today and not wait until Saturday. It may rain Saturday.
We walked around the mall for awhile. Then we went to McCalisters and had half a sandwich and a bowl of soup with sweet tea. It was all very good. Then we went to Hobby Lobby where I found my magnetic photo frames.
From there we went to Pecks Meat Locker and bought a tube of hamburger patties and three separate pounds of ground meat. It all came to around $30.00. That's where my kids get their beef processed. It's local grass fed meat.
I bought gas there in Dewey. It's $3.24 a gallon there and it's $3.69 here in Coffeyville. I never buy gas in Coffeyville.
Then we came back home and Bob raked his leaves up and bagged them. After he finished, I raked mine up and bagged up four more bags of leaves. It's never ending job.
I took a short nap afterward with Miss Kitty on my lap.
After that I read the newspaper and took it over to Bob. Later I fixed myself a smoothie in the blender with mixed berries and milk. He came over at 6:00 and we watched the new episode of The Big Bang Theory. He went home at 7:30 and I took my bath and put my pjs on. In the morning at 7:00, I have a hair appointment in Independence.
It was a nice day. Tomorrow I will go to exercise class and then cook lunch.

Wednesday Exercises Again
We will go to exercise class this morning at 8:45.
I stayed up a little later last night and did the bulletin for Bob for the 30th. He is going to preside for me while I am attending the Women's Retreat over at the Ozark Campgrounds over the 30th. I got to bed about 9:30.
I slept pretty well last night but woke up at 4:15 with my right arm aching and my right leg hurting too. Finally I got up and took two Aleve with a glass of milk. That took care of the pain. I think I had been lying on that right side all night and that made the arm sore. I don't know about the leg. Just the mileage, I guess.
I had a cup of leftover coffee for breakfast with a leftover biscuit that I cut in two and buttered and browned in the skillet. Bob brought me some locally made jelly that the local market is distributing. So I used that on my biscuit too.
We will eat our leftover tuna casserole for lunch. Bob saved his jello salad and I still have a little of that apple caramel dessert. So I won't have to cook today.
This must be leftover day!
More later...
Well, we had lunch and it was fine. Afterward Bob went home to take a nap and I raked and bagged leaves again. I got three big bags done and I am done in. I took my blower and blew all those leaves around my air conditioner into the back yard where they can be mulched...if Merrill will mulch them. I am all in. At my age, I shouldn't have to do this. When I had my own home I expected to have to do it but here they mow for us.
It is 2:30 now and I have been working on that project since lunch was finished.
I have no plans for tonight. Bob will come over at 6:00 and we will have some wine and watch some re-runs of The Big bang Theory. I heard on NPR a couple of days ago that that is the favorite TV program in China. What an audience that is!

Sleepless in Coffeyville
It's 3:45 AM now and I have been awake since 2:00 AM. I ran system restore on the desktop computer yesterday afternoon and it finished initializing and then slowed way down to restore the registry. It never finished. It's still blinking away in there. Luckily I still have the internet and this old laptop. That desktop is only a couple of years old. My son, Keith, gave it to me. Outlook data files went away last Thursday and I have been trying to restore that computer to the February 27th stage ever since. I tried five times on Friday and it kept running into an unexplained error and reverting back to it's broken state. When I started to try it again yesterday afternoon I thought it might make it. After it finished initializing it went on to start restoring the registry files. Computers! I don't know whether it will ever finish or not but there's no turning back when you run system restore.
I will have my hair done later this morning and then find out if Leslie can have lunch. If not, I will come back home and cook.
I have no other plans for the day. I would rake and bag those leaves but it's supposed to be windy and if I get out in the wind to work, I will have problems with my sinus.
More later....
I went back to bed after 4:00 and slept for another two hours. I feel pretty good now. I looked in the den after I got up and system restore is still barely perking along. I wonder if it will ever finish. Until it does, I am without a printer now.
More even later...
My son, Keith, the IT called later in the morning and said to just shut it down. He said if it were going to finish it would have finished by now. He said I didn't have a computer then anyhow so I may as well see if it would come back up. So, I shut it down. I rebooted it and it came back up. It never finished restoring but it didn't change a thing. I still didn't have the mail program. I left then so I wouldn't be late for my hair appointment.
After that, I met Leslie for lunch. Then she gave me the money for my cover for my old Kindle. Amazon had sold it for me and refunded her the money. I came back home and went out to Wal Mart and bought the cheapest printer I could buy and a USB cord and installed the printer with the laptop in the dining room so I could print from the laptop.
Later Bob came over and told me about his day. After he ate at Sirloin Stockade, he went out to the cemetery to see Phyllis' grave. It had been awhile since he was out there.
Later he came back over and we watched a couple of episodes of The Big Bang Theory and some episodes of the Johnny Carson Tonight show on TCM. He went home about 8:30 and I took my bath and put my pjs on and came in here to work on finishing my blog. We had our usual small glass of wine and some of that dessert I served last Sunday evening. In a little while I am going to bed. I see Missy is already in there in bed. I will have to move her over.
It's been a pretty big day so I guess I'll go to bed.
Goodnight everyone.

Monday Again
Obviously, I was so busy yesterday that I never got around to blogging.
First we went to church and afterward ate together at El Pueblito. Then I came home and did my congregational letters. It was quite a challenge. I did the letter on the laptop and then sent it to the desktop where it could be printed. First I had to close Outlook Express on the laptop so I could download it on webmail in the den on the desktop. Outlook on the desktop still doesn't work. That worked alright. although I had to copy and paste it into Word before printing it off. Webmail added some strange symbols that I had to delete. Weird and complicated. The laptop no longer can print to the printer and the desktop has no working Outlook mail program.
After that was finished, I baked my dessert. It was an apple caramel dessert with a glaze on it. It went over beautifully with everyone who came. I had ten in my small living room. Karan helped me serve and that was very helpful. I had butter brinkle ice cream for Joyce and Keith who are sensitive to wheat. After everyone left, Bob helped me put the extra chairs away.
I did the dishes after everyone left. I got to bed about 9:30 and slept through the night. Nothing hurt for a change.
Today we will go to exercise and afterward I will come home and cook lunch. We will have tuna noodle casserole with peas and a salad or applesauce with it. I have some of last night's dessert left over for dessert. We will also have herb tea with lunch as we always do.
I am getting a list together for groceries. I will wait until Wednesday, when my social security comes in to shop.
We are due for some springlike weather here in southeast Kansas. I am looking forward to it. It's supposed to be in the 70's this week. Maybe I can get the rest of those leaves raked up and bagged.
