Saturday and Lunch at Gabbies

 I slept well last night and was up at my usual 5:00AM. I made my bed, dressed and got myself ready for the day.

I looked out the front door to see if there were any cats out there for their breakfast. Not yet!

I am drinking my Chai Latte and having a breakfast bar for my breakfast. I did catch "the weather on the 8's" and here it is for the week.

Today is to be 40 degrees and mostly sunny and windy, tomorrow is to be 56 degrees and sunny, Monday is to be 61 degrees and partly cloudy, Tuesday is to be 68 degrees and sunny, Wednesday is to be 72 degrees and partly cloudy, Thursday is to be 63 degrees and AM showers,  and Friday is to be 57 degrees and sunny. One day of rain. That's better then none! 

I plan to go uptown to Gabbies for lunch at noon. Joyce and Roger to such a good job with their lunches..

I went to have lunch with Sally at Gabbies but she never showed up. I had called her before  noon..actually about 11:30AM and she said she would be there by 12:00 noon. I waited until 12:30PM, after calling her twice more and not being able to get her. I figured she was on her way but she never showed. I paid for my coke and left and came back home.

I read the rest of the afternoon and took my first book back to the book drop of the Caney Library and dropped it in.

No cats ever showed up today either. It was a strange day.

Friday and Good Cleaning Day

I slept well last night and was up after 5:00AM. I dressed, made my bed and got myself ready for the day! I had a cup of Chai Latte and a breakfast bar and then I opened the front door to a new grey cat. I took it out some wet cat food and some dry cat food too. He ate almost all of it.

I also caught "the weather on the 8's" . Here it is:

Today is to be 43 degrees and mostly cloudy and windy, tomorrow is to be 43 degrees and  partly cloudy, Sunday is to be 58 degrees and sunny, Monday is to be 60 degrees and mostly sunny,Tuesday is to be 67 degrees and mostly sunny, Wednesday is to be 73 degrees and partly cloudy, and Thursday is to be 61 degrees and showers. One day of rain! Hooray!

I want to clean the apartment today. It's been over a week.

More Later...I want to get back to my last book and get it in the book drop box later this morning.

I got the apartment cleaned today and cleaned up the sweeper afterward and am charging it now,  It's 11:24AM and I want to go down to the Copan Restaurant for lunch. Sally and I went to the Dairy Queen in Independence yesterday and had their $7.00 lunch. It is always so good.

Thursday and Laundry

 I slept well last night. And I was up at my usual 5:00AM. I have had my breakfast bar and one cup of Chai Latte. I have another ready to go in the living room.

I looked out the front door but there was no cats out there yet. 

I am doing a load of laundry this morning, 

And I did catch "the weather on the 8's". Here is the next week. 

Today is to be 56 degrees and mostly sunny. Tomorrow is to be  42 degrees and mostly cloudy and windy, Saturday is to be 44 degrees and sunny, Sunday is to be 58 degrees and sunny, Monday is to be 61 degrees and partly cloudy, Tuesday is to be 70 degrees and sunny, and Wednesday is to be 74 degrees and partly cloudy. 

That's the week! No rain in the forecast! Just lots of sunshine and partly cloudy.! 

Sally may come over this evening to watch TV. The new show is to be on tonight. It is called "Tracker" and it's on CBS at 9:00PM on Thursday evenings . We saw the first episode following the Superbowl last Sunday.

I read and finished the first of the two Caney library books I had checked out. When I go to pick up Sally for lunch, I will take that one to the drop box at the library. 

Scott and Ginger are in Hawaii now on vacation. Scott called me about 20 minutes ago and talked to me for quite awhile. They are having a wonderful time.  I really enjoyed talking with him. Jerold and Ruby are there too. That's Scott's son and his wife.

More Even Later ...

Sally came over at 9:00PM this evening and we watched  a new program called "Tracker". I don't know whether she will come again or not. It was on from 9:00PM until 10:00 PM and there were dozens of commercials...one reason I don't usually watch TV programs. Usually I just watch the weather and the news. Way too many commercials in programing...mostly for pharmaceuticals. We pay for the TV and then we have to watch dozens of commercials too. That's an aggravating  mess! I am thinking of recording the program and then I can delete the commercials.

Wednesday and Hair Day

I was up at my usual 5:00AM. I made my bed and dressed  and got myself ready for the day. I drank my Chai Latte and ate a breakfast bar, I also caught "the weather on the 8's". I looked outside a couple of times for cats but none of them were out there..at least not yet. It's only 5:55AM so it's early yet. 

I slept fairly well.

I will be going over to Coffeyville this morning to get my hair done...colored and cut... but my appointment is at 9:00AM so I have plenty of time.

Tuesday is to be 68 degrees and sunny. That's the week and no rain in the forecast.. plenty of sunshine but no rain.

I went over to Coffeyville about 8:30AM and went to Woodshed and bought a tank of gas. Then I went to my hair appointment with Toni. After that I went by the senior center and took the newspapers  over to the senior center and then to the book drop at the Coffeyville library.  Then I came back home. I found Blondie waiting for me ...and his breakfast. I fed him and he ate nearly all the wet cat food.

I stopped at the Sonic here and bought a child's lunch for $2.08... three chicken strips, fries and a tiny coke. 

I read all afternoon and finally stopped at 3:42PM and put the book away. 

Dean called to tell me he would be later in the fall before he would be able to come for a visit.

Tuesday and Cookies

I was up at 5:00AM, dressed made my bed and got myself ready for the day. I checked for the cats but there were none out there..at least not yet.

I did catch "the weather on the 8's".

Today is to be 62 degrees sunny, Wednesday is to be 65 degrees and sunny, Thursday is to be 60 degrees and mostly sunny, Friday is to be 43 degrees and AM showers, Saturday is to be 48 degrees and sunny, and Sunday is to be 57 degrees and sunny and Monday is to be  61 degrees and partly cloudy. 

That's the week's weather. Just one day of rain.  And that's Friday. 

I will be leaving at 8:45AM for Independence to take cookies up to Independence to the First Christian Church for their lunch today.

Then I may come back home and call Sally to see if she would like to go back to Independence for lunch at the Dairy Queen. She may rather go to Copan for lunch. I will check with her later...

Sally did want to go to the Copan Restaurant for lunch! I picked her up at noon we took off for Copan.  We had a cup of Beef Vegetable soup and afterward, we split a piece of German Chocolate pie. As always it was delicious!

I meant to give the last piece of coffeecake to Sally, I will give it to her on Thursday when we plan to go to the Dairy Queen in Independence for lunch. Its in a zip lock bag so it should be fine. 

I want to watch the CBS news now.

Monday and Cleaning

I slept well last night and that's because Sally and I stayed up late to watch the Superbowl and then afterward a new TV program  I got to bed after 11:00PM.  We had a good time watching it and at the last moment in overtime, the KC Chiefs won it."

  I will read today because it looks like it's raining out there. I did catch "the weather on the 8's"

Today is to be 53 degrees and AM snow. Tomorrow is to be 60 degrees and sunny, Wednesday is to be 65 degrees and sunny,  Thursday is to be 57 degrees and mostly sunny, Friday is to be 50 degrees and partly cloudy, Saturday is to be 43 degrees and sunny, and Sunday is to be 53 degrees and mostly sunny. That's the week. The snow today seems to be the only precipitation for the week.

I checked out the door and there were no cats out there yet. I have only dry cat food and they prefer the wet cat food.

I have been reading again. I had a piece of warm coffeecake too,  No cats have come this morning but the trash people did and emptied my trash. I very carefully went out to take the container back to the space between our garage doors. 

It snowed lightly this morning but it appears to be melting.

I finished the second book and will need to go to Dollar General and get some more wet cat food. Wednesday I will take both books back to Coffeyville's Library. At least the little white cat and Blondie have been back in the past two days. The others have disappeared for awhile. 

I did go out to Dollar General and buy some more wet cat food and put some out for the little white cat...and I believe Blondie came by too. 

More tomorrow...I am ready to go to bed. 

Sunday and Superbowl

I was up once or twice in the night but got right back to sleep, I started working on my coffeecake for the church breakfast. It's in the oven baking now.

And what do you know! The little white cat was out there at the front door this morning. I took it some food and it is eating hungrily. I don't see another one yet. 

I also saw "the  weather on the 8's" and got a photo of it on my phone.

Here's the forecast for the week!

Today is to be 45 degrees and cloudy, tomorrow is to be 56 degrees and AM snow showers, Tuesday is to be 61 degrees and sunny, Wednesday is to be 64 degrees and mostly sunny Thursday is to be 64 degrees and mostly sunny, Friday is to be 52 degrees showers, Saturday is to be 42 degrees and partly cloudy. That's it for the week and  it looks like Monday and Friday are going to have some precipitation. Thank goodness!!

Sally will be coming over this evening at 5:30PM  to watch the Superbowl with me. I have microwave popcorn and ice cream for our treats.

The little white cat has finished eating and has climbed into the box out there that has a rug in it. That may keep it warmer! It's 39 degrees out there.

I was watching the little white cat who was lying in the box with the rug in it, when I saw a big black dog come and pick up the bowl and take off with it. The little white cat ran away and I ran after the black dog. He dropped the bowl and ran. Now I know what has been happening to the cat bowls.

The coffeecake is done and iced with a glaze, I have put a plastic  over it too. That's to keep it fresh.
