Saturday and Arm Hurting Again

I woke up this morning with my right arm aching. I finally just gave up and took another Aleve. It does give me relief from that pain.

Missy is wanting to go outside but it's still dark at 6:00AM.  We will go out when it gets light outside.

I have laundry in the dryer. I stripped my bed this morning. I will clean the apartment again this morning while I have no pain in my shoulder. But first I want to watch CBS news.

I remade the bed and put away the laundry and now I will leave.

So, more later...

I started to go to Bartlesville and while there to pay my Goody's bill. Then I thought  "I don't need a thing and they have a Goody's store in Independence much closer so I just went up there and paid it. I tried to pay it online but they would not accept my username and password. So I just paid it in the store. I also stopped at Ana Mae's and had a muffin so now I have spoiled my appetite for lunch. I will just eat later this afternoon.

I still have the bathroom and kitchen floors to mop so I'd better get to it.

More even later...

Friday and Exercise Class

I didn't sleep all that well again last night. For one thing, my right shoulder hurts. Then Missy sleeps most of the day and then gets restless at night and she sleeps on my bed.

I got up close to 5:00AM, clothed and fed myself and Missy and took her outside while I watered my flowers and dead headed them.

Later, around 8:45, I left for the exercise class. It went fine except I really had to be careful of my right arm.  After exercise class I went to Utopia and had a cinnamon roll and my utopiachina. The second drink is in the freezer. I'll have that later...perhaps tomorrow.

Marilyn called later on this morning and asked me to lunch for having me help her with her computer problems yesterday.  We went to Caney's Eggbert's and had that chicken salad and fruit with a wonderful muffin for lunch. Then she bought me a piece of lemon cream pie to bring home for later. That was neat....and good of her.

After the mail comes, I need to go out to Walmart for a few things. I have a short list.

More later...

I did go out and get my little list of grocery items.  Then when I got back home I took my bath and Missy and I watched an old movie "Nine to Five". It was an 80s movie but still very funny. Then we watched a couple of episodes of "Cheers" before we went on to bed.

Thursday and a Dental Appointment

Yesterday was so busy I forgot to blog. I went to exercise class at 8:45AM and after that met Gay at her class reunion meeting for lunch and immediately after that went to Asbury Village for Bunco. After that I just rested until time to watch the news. I later turned to Amazon Prime and watched "Cheers" until 9:00 when Missy and I went to bed.

I woke up again at 3:30AM but managed to get back to sleep until 4:45AM when I just got up.

I got myself ready for the day and fed Missy and myself.

Then I went through my decorated photo albums looking for one to show Nancy. I wish now I had not sold my scrap booking stuff.  For one thing, I sold it all way too cheap. Now I would like to begin again but I don't know anyone still selling the materials....albums and tools. I can get the stickers at Walmart.

I have an 11:00 dental appointment  this morning..mostly for a prophie.

It's only 7:25AM now so I have plenty of time. I was thinking of taking Missy outside but she doesn't seem interested.

More later....

Betty came by awhile ago to show Mary, the recipient of the trust Betty is trustee for, the apartment next door. I visited with her awhile and we talked to Merrill about her buying his antenna and pole from his house for me. Ever since the hot weather hit, I have been having a problem getting any reception on the one she put in the attic. I don't know whether she has convinced him or not. She really wants him to attach it to my roof. I don't know if he is interested in doing that or not....especially in this heat. I am not sure if I would get any better reception with it then the one in the attic. Hard to say for sure. The one in the attic worked for channel 6 (CBS) until this heat wave hit.

More later....

After I had my lunch, I went up to Dr. Barta's and bought Missy's flea and tick meds and when I got home I put it on her.  Now, she's sleeping.

When I checked out the amount online, I saw that they had added $2.00 because I used my debit card.  They did not tell me about that new charge and when I saw it online on my account, I called them and told them I did not appreciate that and after 15 years with Missy as their patient, I was going to stop going up there to their vet. The woman I was speaking with told me she would take the charge off if I would just send them a check. I have written the check and have put it out on the mailbox for the mailman to pick up. No one else I do business with changes for using a debit card. If they begin doing that, I will just write checks or pay cash.

It's 96 here so far this afternoon.  I went out to get the newspaper and found it to be very hot. The humidity is up and that only makes it worse.

More even later...

Marilyn came over a couple of hours ago. She had been scammed again. I got a hold of the Cox Complete Care folks and they went through her computer and cleaned it up. I told her not to take any more of those cases. The man she talked to said the previous scammer was out of business and he would get her money back that she lost in March. After she figured out he was just another scammer, she called her bank and stopped any transactions on her bank account and cancelled her card. They will now send her another new card.

It's 7:00 an I have had my bath and eaten my yogurt and now the temperature is 102. It seems much hotter because it's so humid. Now I guess I will go lay down with Missy and watch TV on Amazon Prime. At 9:00, we will both go to bed.

Tuesday and Hair Day

I woke up at 3:30 AM and could not get back to sleep. I finally just got up at 4:00AM. I got myself ready for the day and fed myself and Missy. Then I took her out for awhile but for some strange reason, she wanted back in the apartment. Now she is in on the bed sleeping.

I am watching the news now on the antenna and the picture is just fine. They must cut their power in the evening like radio does.

I will leave at 8:20 for Independence for my 9:00 hair appointment. I have texted Bob to see if he wants to go to see his sister, Betty. I just heard back from him. He wants to go. I will pick him up at 8:20.

He may want to eat at Big Cheese or Great China. Or he may want to come back home to eat with Joanne. I will check with him after I pick him up.

More later...

I picked up Bob about 8:25 and we went on to Independence and I took him over to Betty's to visit while I got my hair done. Kathy told me she is giving up her job so she can got to Texas on Sunday to help her daughter with her children. Her daughter has been diagnosed with breast cancer and will start her chemotherapy next week. Then they will do a lumpectomy. That's awful! I put her and Kathy on the prayer list at church.  After I picked up Bob we went to Walmart and bought school supplies and backpacks for the church's back pack day. Then we went to eat at Great China for lunch. After that, I took him back to his home in Coffeyville.

I called Leslie's old hairdresser, Toni, here in Coffeyville and made a regular appointment for Tuesdays. Kathy gave me the formula for my hair color.

I read most of the afternoon. After that I ate some yogurt, took my bath and lay down with Missy to watch the news. The picture was tearing again so I switched to streaming my Amazon Prime. There I watched a couple of episodes of "Cheers" . In about an hour Missy and I will go on to bed. I was up at 4:00 this morning and am tired.

Monday and Exercise Class

I woke up at 2:30AM this morning and went to the bathroom but I got right back to sleep and slept until 5:00AM. Then I got up and got myself ready for the day and took Missy out for some outside time while it was still relatively cool. She did pretty well. I had to go convince her to come back once while we were on the carport and once while we were out back on the patio but other than that, she did fine.

We came in at 8:00AM to watch the CBS news. This morning the antenna did fine. At 8:30AM, I left for exercise class. After that I went in to Shelter Insurance and paid my car and apartment insurances and got that done. They were due tomorrow. I now need to renew my registration on the car.

Then I drove over to Caney to pick up my glasses. I had had updated lenses put in them. I paid for those when I ordered them over a week or so ago. Now it is shortly after 11:00AM and I need to think about what I will have for lunch.

Back to this later....

I had the frozen sweet and sour chicken  from Walmart. It was pretty good! Then I had an ice cream bar for dessert.

Now I think I will just rest. I have been listening to "Perhaps Love" by John Denver with Placido Domingo. Wonderful singing!

I started to watch the CBS news with the antenna Betty put in the attic and once again, it kept tearing. It has been fine ever since Betty put it in the attic last November except for the past couple of weeks. For some reason it is not getting the signal like it always has.

So I switched to the steaming of Amazon Prime and watched several episodes of "Cheers" on that. Then I lost the signal there too. I called Cox and they wanted to increase my streaming to 30 mg from my present 10 mg. They wanted to increase the cost of  my streaming by $20. more per month.  I am already paying them $53.94 for just the internet. That includes the $10.00 per month for the Cox Solutions. Then they said I would also need a new modem because my old modem wouldn't be good enough to handle that 30 mg.  I told them I was not going to do that and hung up!

Then I contacted Cox Solutions and talked to Tom. He checked  the strength of my signal and suggested I reboot my modem and my router. I did that and that fixed it. It doesn't do anything for my antenna but I can watch the CBS news a day later on the streaming. Strange, the antenna signal is fine until evening. Then it constantly tears.

After I took my bath Missy and I went to bed at 9:00.

Sunday and Church

I got up just after 4:00 AM. I had gone to bed very early. I was so tired. I got the coffeecake ready to go in the oven and then ran out to Walmart to get a few things...mostly pecans for the coffeecake. I was completely out. I took my note over to Rick and Carmen's house but could not tell which house it was in the dark. I will text them their invitation this time.

I took Missy out for awhile while the coffeecake was baking. She was fairly good...could have been a little better.  After awhile, she was ready to come back in and I needed to ice the coffeecake anyhow.
I got my text off to Rick.  I hope they will still be at church today. I imagine we will eat at "Just Us" after church.

It s almost time to pick up Bob so I'd better see to my last minute stuff. Phyllis is in Overland Park visiting her daughter there. So I will just pick up Bob this time. More later..

Church was good. And the fellowship is always great! Afterward we went to El Publito for lunch.  It was o.k. I am not crazy about Mexican food. But we were seven of us and it was o.k.

After that, I came home and did the congregational newsletters and got the one that has no e-mail out on my mailbox for the mailman to pick up tomorrow. I notice I have poor TV reception again this afternoon. I may not be able to receive 60 Minutes again this evening.

Sure enough..reception was so poor for TV that I just went to Amazon Prime and watched last week's 60 Minutes there.  I should be able to get this week's 60 Minutes now that the program is over. I may be able to get it tomorrow. I may try.

Missy and I watched a couple of episodes of "Cheer's" on Amazon prime after I had my bath. At 9:00PM, we went on to bed.
