Saturday and Laundry

Again, I slept like a baby all night long..with the sleeping pill pf course1 it's 8;24AM and when I opened the front door. Blondie was waiting...not so patiently...for his breakfast, It was later then usual. After I fed him and turned on the TV, I found "the weather on the 8's".

Today is to be 69 degrees and mostly cloudy, tomorrow is to be 73 degrees and partly cloudy. Monday is to be 77 degrees and mostly sunny, Tuesday is to be 84 degrees and sunny, Wednesday is to be  81 degrees and mostly sunny, Thursday is to be 61 degrees and partly cloudy, and Friday is to be  61 degrees and sunny. That's the week..again no rain,

My laundry just finished drying so I will get back to this later...

I got the laundry folded and put away. It's 9:04AM. I am still drinking my Chai Latte. It's almost cold now but it's still good. 

I took my walk and picked up a lot of trash for my grocery bag. I tied  up the sack and put it in my trash receptacle.  I will set it out on the curb Monday to be emptied.

At lunchtime, I went up to Gabby's and had her steak sandwich for my lunch...with chips and a coke. It was very good. Then I stopped at the library and checked out two more books. I will read this afternoon. I should clean the apartment but I will do that on Monday.

Friday and a Lot Better Sleep.

It's amazing what a sleeping pill can do. I slept very well last night and was up at 6:00AM, I made my bed, dressed and got myself ready for the day. When I opened the front door, Blondie was waiting for his breakfast..so I took it to him. Now I see he is sharing his breakfast with that little black and white cat. That, in itself is amazing. Usually he doesn't share. The other cats wait until he walks away until they eat from the bowl.

I did also catch "the weather on the 8's". Today is to be 71 degrees and sunny,  tomorrow is to be 68 degrees and partly cloudy, Sunday is to be 76 degrees and mostly sunny, Monday is to be 79 degrees and partly cloudy, Tuesday is to be 81 degrees and partly cloudy, Wednesday is to be 75 degrees and partly cloudy, Thursday is to be 65 degrees and partly cloudy. That's the week...again...no rain.   And we desperately need rain!

I went up to City Hall and paid my water bill. 

It was $108.91 this morning. I do one load of laundry a week and bathe every night. I use bottled water in my coffeemaker.The water here in Caney is very rare since the Caney River is nearly dry, and they charge us an arm and a leg for it.

I went to Coffeyville for gas and on to Independence for my Dairy Queen lunch.

Then I came on back home. I will go to the library again tomorrow. I have read both books I had checked out yesterday morning.

I read some of the afternoon too and watched the news,,such as it was. I took my bath at 7:00PM and before I go to bed, I will take my sleeping pill. I hate taking a sleeping pill but I know I need the sleep. 

I drank a cup of coffee this morning and also some Chai Latte.

I spent an hour or two trying to reach Amazon. They wanted me to change my password. I really don't want to do that because I can never remember them. I write them down but they want me to change them so often I can't remember them from one time to the other. Very aggravating!

More Tomorrow, 

I think I will clean the apartment and do a load of laundry tomorrow. It's 57 degrees here now and nearly 8:00PM.  That's early for me. I usually don't go to bed before 10:00PM.

Thursday and Very Good Sleep

I slept very well last night. Of course, I went to sleep with a sleeping pill. The doctor thinks I am not sleeping well because I am concerned about one thing or another. The only thing I am concerned about is my lack of good sleep. Well the sleeping pill took care of that. I slept through the night until 6:00AM. Then I got up, made my bed and dressed and got myself ready for the day. Then the first thing I did was fix myself a cup of coffee to get some caffeine in my body to wake me up. I may try to get to sleep tonight without the sleeping pill. If I can't, I can always get up and take one.

I opened the front door to find Blondie waiting for his breakfast. After he ate, the little cat that looks like a smaller edition of him came to eat. He wasn't willing to share so I took another bowl out for it. Then they both got their fill.

Today is to be 63 degrees and  sunny, tomorrow is to be 70 degrees and sunny, Saturday is to be 72 degrees and partly cloudy, Sunday is to be 77 degrees and partly cloudy, Monday is to be 79 degrees and partly cloudy, Tuesday is to be 77 degrees and partly cloudy, and Wednesday is to be 70 degrees an partly cloudy...again no rain in the forecast for the next week.. And we desperately need rain.

I am feeling somewhat more awake. I also had my Chai Latte and some leftover coffeecake.

I took my walk this morning...cold as it was. I wore my jacket and gloves. It's 37 degrees now and clear. It's a good thing I had gloves because there was a lot of trash in the street..Halloween "trick or treaters" always make a mess. They just throw their candy wrappers in the street. And there were trash receptors everywhere along the streets. Improper training at home. It's a dead giveaway.

I am feeling better now and more awake now that I have had some coffee and some cool air from my walk. I took my two books that I had read and dropped them in the library book drop while I was on my walk. When the library opens today 8:00AM until 2:00 PM I will get a couple more. I don't have a plan for today. Later I will call Sally and see if she wants to go to lunch.

I am going to go to the library now and check out two more books.

Wednesday and Bunco

I slept better last night. Of course I took three Melatonin and that helped. I was up at 5:00AM, made my bed and dressed and got myself ready for the day.  I will leave this morning at 8:00AM for Coffeyville and my hair appointment at 9:00AM  and a doctor's appointment at Dr. Christensen's office about my high blood pressure at 11:15AM and if I get out of the doctor's office early enough, I will go to Bunco at the senior's center.

I opened the front door to find Blondie waiting for his breakfast so I fixed it and fed him. I also had my coffee and a breakfast bar. I did catch "the weather on the 8's" on the TV.

Today is to be 62 degrees and sunny, tomorrow is to be 61 degrees and sunny, Friday is to be 69 degrees and sunny, Saturday is to be  71 degrees and partly cloudy,  Sunday is to be 75 degrees and mostly sunny, Monday is to be 70 degrees and partly cloudy and Tuesday is to be 58 degrees and partly cloudy. No rain in the forecast for the next week!

Tuesday and a Little Better Sleep

I slept a little better last night but not real deep sleep. I was up at 4:00AM, made my bed and dressed and got myself ready for the day. I have checked several times for Blondie but he hasn't shown up yet. I did put his food out there though just in case he comes while I am blogging.

I caught "the weather on the 8's" though.

Today is to be 44 degrees and sunny, tomorrow is to be 52 degrees and sunny, Thursday is to be 61 degrees and sunny, Friday is to be 66 degrees and sunny, Saturday is to be 71 degrees and  partly cloudy, Sunday is to be 69 degrees partly cloudy, and Monday is to be 68 degrees and and partly cloudy. No rain in the forecast for the next week. Unfortunately !

More Later... I will be going to Independence this morning to take cookies to the First Christian Church for their dinner today. 

I got back in good time and tried to call Sally to see if she wanted to go to the Dairy Queen for lunch. She never answered. I don't think my phone is working today. I tried to call Leslie and no call went through. I also tried to text her but that didn't work either. 

I believe Cox is down again.

Monday and a Poor Night's Sleep

Once again I had a hard time sleeping. I was up at 4:00AM, made my bed, dressed and got myself ready for the day. I just couldn't stay asleep.

I put the TV on and soon I had "the weather on the 8's". So here is the forecast for this week.

Today is to be 46 degrees and sunny, Tuesday is to be 45 degrees and sunny.Wednesday is to be 53 degrees and sunny, Thursday is to be 58 degrees and mostly sunny, Friday is to be 66 degrees and mostly sunny, Saturday is to be 69 degrees and partly cloudy, and Sunday is to be 70 degrees and partly cloudy, It looks like no more rain this next week. Luckily we got some yesterday afternoon.

I went to Dollar General and bought some more wet cat food for Blondie. I saw another cat had come while I was gone and ate the dry cat food.

Blondie came for his breakfast and I had mine. Later I went to the library and checked out two books. I read all morning.

At lunchtime I went to Copan Restaurant and had a cup of their beef vegetable soup and a piece of German chocolate pie and iced tea.

I also notified Leslie that I had checked my blood pressure and it was way too high, I went up to the Caney Drug store and  had the pharmacist take it with her blood pressure device. It was still very high. She called the doctor and told him about it and he told her to tell me to take another half of a blood pressure pill...and to do that until my doctor's appointment on Wednesday. Maybe he can tell me why it is so high. It was 181/87.

Then I came back home and back to the book. A little later I checked my bank account. Everything but the check I wrote this morning for Evergy and put in the mail and the one for the Women's Retreat I wrote at the camp for the women's retreat had cleared.

Blondie came back for more dry food this evening and that smaller cat that I believe he sired ( because it just looks like a smaller edition of him and.... Scruff must have been it's mother.) 

I took my bath at 7:00PM and got myself ready for bed. I will try to stay up until 10:00PM and maybe I will sleep better.

Sunday and a Visit to a Church

 I slept very well last night and was up only once in the night to take my two meds. Then I was up at 5:00AM, made my bed and dressed and got myself ready for the day. I am planning to visit another church today since  we are not having services at mine today. Some are going to Arkansas for a conference but since I just back from a Women's retreat yesterday evening, I do not plan to drive that far for another conference. Karan drove to the one we attended Friday and Saturday.

I did catch "the weather on the 8's" awhile ago. And I opened the front door for the third time and finally found Blondie out there waiting for his breakfast. I took it out to him and he is eating now.

I am having my breakfast bar and coffee myself. Soon I will have my Chai Latte.

We are 39 degrees and rain today, tomorrow we will have 47 degrees and sunny, Tuesday is to be 45 degrees and sunny, Wednesday is to be 45 degrees and sunny, Wednesday is to be 51 degrees and sunny, Thursday is to be 60 degrees and  sunny, Friday is to be 67 degrees mostly sunny and Saturday is to be 66 degrees and partly cloudy. Only one day with rain in the forecast and that is today.  

I attended the Cornerstone church here in Caney this morning. The sermon was good and there were well over 100 people there. Our church dismissed services today for a conference in Arkansas.  I didn't go. I wouldn't want to drive 6 1/2 hours to attend that conference. Especially in my 16 year old car. I attended this weekend's Women's Retreat. It was Friday and Saturday. But Karan drove. Her car is a lot newer then mine. Mine is 16 years old. It's  2008 Honda Civic.

I may go to Eggbert's for lunch or I may simply microwave a dinner from my freezer. I am not sure Copan Restaurant is even open on Sunday. So I will keep it simple. I could just have a peanut butter and jelly sandwich.

Actually, I put one of my frozen dinners in the microwave and that's what I had for lunch. It was o.k.
