Saturday and Lunch With Gabby

Nearly every Saturday I have lunch at Gabby's,'' a local downtown restaurant. Both Joyce, her real name, and her husband. have jobs during the week in Coffeyville but this restaurant is kind of a hobby for them. Joyce does all the cooking and he does all the serving. They enjoy it and their children are grown and they have grandchildren who sometime help at the restaurant as a part time job. His name is not occurring to me right now but it should still. I had a high school boy friend by the same name and it's very simple. It's just that this morning, I am simple too ;) It's just this morning and it isn't coming to me. 

It's now occurring to me!. And he was my date to the Aqua Fiesta swim suit contest where I won 4th prize and had my photo in the newspaper.  Now I remember what it is! It is Roger!

That took a moment. I checked on the weather but not the cats..not yet! 

I'd better get to the weather..maybe that will be easier.

Today is Saturday and is to be 72 degrees and cloudy. I'd better remember my coffee cake which is in the oven. I'd better check on it! 

Tomorrow is to be 69 and Thunderstorms, Monday is to be 69 degrees and Thunderstorms, Tuesday is to be 61 degrees and  is to be 69 degrees and PM sun. Wednesday is to be 66 degrees sunny, and  Thursday is to be 66 degrees and showers and Friday is to be 63 degrees and showers. That's the week's weather forecast.

Thursday and Rain

It's 6:22AM and I have been watching the weather channel. This is the forecast for the area.This is Thursday and 65 degrees and sunny, Tomorrow is Friday and 72 degrees and sunny, Saturday is to be 69 degrees and rain, Sunday is to be 72 degrees and thunderstorms and Monday is to be 70 degrees and thunderstorms.

I am to take cookies to the First Christian Church in Independence today about 9:30AM.

I woke up in the night to the sound of rain. I got up and looked and sure enough, it was raining. It's always a good thing here in Caney, to get rain. We get so little of it.

I haven't checked on the cats yet. I fed them off and on all day yesterday.  Today I have fed four of them. They are eating now. Two Blackies, Blondie, and Grey.

When Dollar General opens at 8:00AM I will go buy some more Sustain. That will keep my right eye moist. It did yesterday so I am hoping it will today too. I ran out of it yesterday.

It's 6:57AM and It's not 8:00AM yet so Dollar General is not open yet. 

Wednesday and the 30th of October

I have been up quite early. I haven't turned on the TV or opened the door for the cats. I think it was around 4:00AM when I woke up. I put my contact in this morning and so far it is doing fine. I did sweep leaves out of the garage...not that it will do any good! The neighbor's trees have covered my yard with leaves. It is a lost cause. I will go over to Coffeyville when it begins to get light. I think my hair appointment is at 9:00AM. Toni changes it some of the time so I can't be sure.

And another thing... I think I have shingles again. My front and even my back, stings like it. I may drop by Urgent Care while I am in Coffeyville today and check with the nurse there.

I did drop by the Urgent Care and the nurse wasn't sure I had the shingles. The are stinging areas both on my front and back so I am not sure she's right. She did order the medicine for me though.

Tomorrow is to be 84 degrees and cloudy and windy,    Wednesday day is to be 78 degrees and  PM thunderstorms and windy and  cloudy and Thursday is to be 64 degrees and Friday is to be 69  degrees and partly cloudy and mostly sunny. That's the weather!
