Friday and Storms

I was up at 5:00AM this morning after another restless night. I made my bed and dressed and got myself ready for the day. I checked for cats but none were out there yet. Its 5:45AM now. We are under storm warnings and will be for several days.  I heard rain all night and thunder.

I did catch "the weather on the 8's" and here it is:

Today is to be 77 degrees and scattered thunderstorms, Saturday is to be 82 degrees and scattered thunderstorms and wind. Sunday is to be 79 degrees and Thunderstorms, Monday is to be 77 degrees and partly cloudy, and Tuesday is to be 85 degrees and PM thunderstorms, Wednesday is to be  81 degrees and scattered thunderstorms, and Thursday is to be 72 degrees and scattered Thunderstorms. That's the week... Monday is the only day without rain and that is partly cloudy.

I have had a cup of Chai Latte and a breakfast bar. Maybe later I will have another cup of Chai Latte. We will see.

Thursday and a New Mirror Frame for my Car's rear Mirror

 It's 4:29 AM and I have been sleeping restlessly again. I got up at 4:00AM and checked my bank account. I will go up to Independence and get a new frame for my car back up mirror. The one I have is bent. When I backed out of the garage and hit the door frame. my local garage put in a new mirror but didn't change out the bent frame for the mirror..So I went up to Quality in Independence and Scott ordered one and the man there at Quality will install a new one. They called me to come get it done yesterday but I was in Coffeyville for Game Day, so I told them I would come up today. I will do that this morning around 9:00AM (first thing) and then go to the Dairy Queen for lunch there afterward.

Blondie was the first cat that came for breakfast here. I fed him and then Grey came too. She/he ate his/her fill and left. Finally Whitey came and is eating now. That's three cats. At 8:00AM, I need to go to Dollar General and get another cat dish. Yesterday after the cats left, a big black dog came and carried it off.. dish and all. I looked for it at their usual places that  I find them but this time it was nowhere to be found. So I will buy another cat dish and some more wet cat food too. 

Whitey came back twice more for more cat food. He/she must be really hungry.

Wednesday and Game Day at the Senior Center

I was up early again and I dressed, made my bed and got myself ready for the day. I opened the front door but there were no cats out there yet.  It's only 5:05AM. I watched a TV program to pass the time.

I also caught "the weather on the 8's" and here it is.

Today is to be 73 degrees and PM showers. Tomorrow is to be 66 degrees and thunderstorms, Friday is to be 80 degrees and scattered thunderstorms and wind. Saturday is to be 70 degrees and thunderstorms and wind. Sunday is to be 80 degrees and thunderstorms and wind, Monday is to be 75 degrees and mostly sunny.Tuesday is to be 83 degrees and sunny. That's the week! Five days of rain! Monday and Tuesday are the only days without rain.

No cats yet either. It's  5:17AM now.

The first cat to come for it's breakfast was Grey. He ate his fill and left and the Whitey came and took up where Grey had left off and finished what was left. Then Whitey came back for more and I put fresh food in the dish and she dug in.

Whitey is still eating..at least was while I was still in the living room.

I went over to Coffeyville to go to Walmart and get a treat for Game Day at the senior center there. All five of us showed up today.

I got there in plenty of time to get my hair fixed and also read in my own Grisham book. I got home in time to catch the CBS news.

Blondie showed up for supper and ate almost all his supper food.

Then I read until bath time and then later went on to bed at 9:00PM.

 

Tuesday and Another Trip to the Library

I was awake at 1:00AM this morning after having taken my usual three Melatonin at bedtime.. I got up then and took two more and got back to sleep until 6:00AM. I have had one cup of Chai Latte and a breakfast bar for my breakfast. When I opened the front door, Grey was out there waiting for his breakfast. I fixed it and took it out to him. He ate and left and then Whitey came for her/his breakfast. I took his/hers out to her and she is eating now.  

I am working on my second cup of Chai Latte now.

Blondie finally came for his breakfast and after that he tried to get into the apartment but I took the broom and discouraged him from that. He knows he can't come in but it's chilly out there and he keeps trying. 

Then Whitey came back too. Blondie left and Whitey dug into the fresh food and is eating now again

I called Sally to see if she wanted to go to Copan to have lunch and she did. I picked her up at noon. We had our usual...vegetable beef soup and we split a piece of German Chocolate pie. Then I took her home.  It's good to have someone to have lunch with.

I went to the library and checked out one book. I couldn't find another one I was interested in. Then when I started reading it, I saw that I had already read it. So I took it back down to the library to the book drop and dropped it in. Maybe I will find one at the Coffeyville library tomorrow after I get my hair done. Tomorrow is also game day at the senior center. at 1:00PM.

Monday and a week of Rain

I was up at 4:00AM again and had my Chai Latte and breakfast bar for my breakfast.  

When I opened the front door Blondie was out there waiting for his breakfast so I took it out to him. He has been busy eating. He never came for his breakfast yesterday so he is pretty hungry this morning.

I finished one of my two books yesterday but cannot get into the second one. I may take both of them back to the library today.

Sunday and Church and Breakfast with Coffeecake

I was up fairly early again this morning, I knew I would be making my coffeecake for the breakfast at church. It's in the oven now and the timer is on. 

I dressed and made my bed and got myself ready for the day. I looked for a cat but it's too early for them I guess at 5:22AM.

I even caught "the weather on the 8's:" and here it is.

Today is to be 64 degrees and partly cloudy, tomorrow is to be 71 degrees and sunny and windy, Tuesday is to be 77 degrees and partly cloudy, Wednesday is to be 71 degrees and PM showers, Thursday is to be 73 degrees and thunderstorms, Friday is to be 78 degrees and scattered thunderstorms and Saturday is to be 85 degrees and isolated thunderstorms. That's the week! Four days of rain. That's good for a change but that may make my mowing difficult this week. 

It's 5:57AM and the coffeecake just came out of the oven. Then I opened the door  to find Grey out there waiting for his breakfast so I fixed him some hot and cold cat food. He is eating now.

Melissa had a good sermon.

After church Phyllis and I went to Eggbert's for lunch. Then when I got home I picked up my latest book again to read. 

When I got up and began to go to the den to check my e-mail, I fell...again on my knees. Luckily I fell on the den floor with the carpet. It's thin carpet though so that wasn't a lot of protection. Undoubtedly, I will have bruises again on my knees. It's getting harder and harder to walk without my knees giving out. The problem of being 88 years old, I guess. I probably need to resume my daily walking.

I watched the south Central States Mission Center worship service this evening on Zoom. Then I took my bath at 7:15PM. I will go back to my book now for awhile. I plan to go to bed at 9:00PM or so.

Saturday and a Reading Day

 I was up at 5:00AM  this morning, made my bed and dressed and got myself ready for the day.

When I opened the front door, Grey was waiting for breakfast so I gave him a bowl of wet and dry cat food. He ate his fill and left. No other cats have come yet so I brought the dish in the house. I don't want a dog to carry off the dish. That has happened several times.

The next time I checked, Blondie was out there waiting for his breakfast so I fixed him a bowl. He ate almost all of it and I brought it in too.

Finally "The weather on the 8's" came on and I took a photo of it and here it is:

Today is to be 64 degrees and partly cloudy., tomorrow is to be 63 degrees and mostly cloudy, Monday is to be 72 degrees and sunny, Tuesday is to be 77 degrees and partly cloudy, Wednesday is to be 71 degrees and partly cloudy, Thursday is to be 71 degrees and rain and thunderstorms, and Friday is to be 77 degrees and Thunderstorms and wind. That's the week! Two days of rain and that is Thursday and Friday. 

I am so glad I got the mowing and trimming done yesterday. I also got the housework done. It was a very productive day. Now I have a slower week to look forward to.

When I went back in the living room after posting on my blog, Blondie was waiting by the door for his breakfast. So I fixed his bowl with both wet and dry cat food and set it outside the door. He is eating now!

I called Sally's number two times this morning but she evidently was not home. I got her answering machine both times. I wanted to ask her to go down to Copan for lunch with me. I just went by myself. As usual...it was very good!

I finished the first of the two books  I got at the Caney library this evening. I have church tomorrow and I will make my coffeecake tomorrow for the breakfast.

It's 8:04 PM now and I will  soon go to bed.

Friday and A Stop at Caney's Library

I woke up very early again at 4:20AM this morning and again couldn't get back to sleep. 

I finally got up and transferred some money from my savings account to my checking account so I would have plenty in the checking account to pay an upcoming bill. Scott Mills is going to put a new back up mirror frame in the rider's side of my car. After I hit the garage door frame with that mirror, the mirror was replaced fine but the frame it fit in was still dented. So Scott Mills is going to put a new mirror frame on my car when it comes in. That's the bill I want to pay. Luckily there was plenty of money in my savings account to accommodate paying that bill. I am trying to keep my car as nice as I can for as long as I can. It and my furniture is all I have.

I had my oil changed yesterday at Main Street Auto and Tire and that cost me $47.15. But the life of the oil was down to 30% according to the gauge on the dash and it needed to be changed. 

And I went over to Coffeyville yesterday to return a book I had checked out there on Wednesday at the Coffeyville library. Our library here at Caney was not open when I got my car back yesterday. They have strange and different hours. 

I also needed to go out to Walmart there and get some more coffee cake mix for Sunday's breakfasts at church and also some flavored water to drink here at home. I try never to drink Caney's water. It has some strange chemicals in it and is not considered drinkable. And  now I saw in the chronicle that Caney's grocery market is closing.

And I needed to go to the bank and get some cash for the week too. Unfortunately the ATM machine at the bank was down...again. So I went to the police and fire department building there on 11th street and used their ATM machine. It was either that one or the one way out on northeast street. The bank needs to get a new ATM machine. The one at the bank drive-through seldom works.

While I was there in Coffeyville, I filled up my car with gas at their Conoco station. I am no longer going out to South Coffeyville to get the cheaper gas. Their pumps no longer accept debit cards. In fact they won't work at all unless you push a button on a pole next to the pump. It's not worth dealing with any more.

I also stopped at the US Cellular store and had them check out my phone. It has been ringing sporadically at best. I don't know if they fixed it or not. Anyhow they tried.

I will try to get to the Caney library today to get a couple of new books to read.

I hope the grass will be dry today. I would like to at least get started on my mowing for the week. 

It's 6:49AM now and I just opened the door to see Grey waiting for his breakfast. So I fixed him a fresh breakfast and he ate and left. Soon Whitey came for breakfast too and I added some more fresh food. She/he is eating now.

I checked the yard about an hour later and it was dry so I mowed the front and part of the west side....maybe half of it. Maybe I can finish the west side and do the back tomorrow if it doesn't rain. The back is smaller then either the front or the west side. The only day we are supposed to  get rain is Thursday. 

I did clean the apartment and mop the floors and vacuum. I will dust later...

I never did get up to the library. I had better go now if I am going to get something to read, It is 1:00PM now.

I checked out two books. That should hold me for awhile...at least a couple of days.

I also finished my mowing. I got the west side finished and the back and then I trimmed everything. It's done for another week!

I feel like I did a good thorough job too. I not only mowed the rest of the yard west side as well as the back and trimmed it all but I cleaned the apartment too. I both mopped and vacuumed. I even read a little between jobs. I got a lot done today. Maybe I will sleep better tonight. It's only 4:53 PM though so I have the entire evening ahead of me.

Thusday and Lunch at Copan

I went to bed at 9:00PM last night and woke up at 1:30AM and could not get back to sleep. I got up, made my bed, and dressed and got myself ready for the day. I got the book I checked out at the Coffeyville library yesterday and got up to read it. I finished it about 5:25AM.

I will take it back on Wednesday this week. I checked outdoors and there were no cats out there. 

While I was looking, Blondie walked up and wanted his breakfast so I took it out to him.

I did see the "weather on the 9's" though. Here it is for the week.

Today is to be 74 degrees and scattered thunderstorms and wind. I went to the Dollar General Store and bought cat food and breakfast bars. cat foo for the cats and the breakfast bars for me

While I was in Coffeyville yesterday, I washed my car. While I was in Dollar General, it began to rain.  So that was a wasted $5.00 for the car wash and a dollar each to dry it and vacuum it out. It's 8:54 AM now and I believe the Caney library is open now. I may go get another couple of books if it stops raining.

I mowed Friday and Saturday last week. Maybe I can mow again this Friday and Saturday.  I trimmed my hedge this morning before I went to Dollar General. I saw in the Chronicle  that our Caney Market is closing. Not enough business is what they said was the reason. I see that many Caney people are shopping at the various Wall Marts.

I went out to Myrtle's Market this afternoon  and bought some bedding plants and got them planted. Some in the back yard flower garden and the others in that small one by the front door where I keep my little flags denoting the type of season.. I could use some more flowers but this is a start.  I bought a Mother's Day flag yesterday at Liebert's in Coffeyville. Of course my mother has been gone for years but I still think about her from time to time...especially when I decorate the graves at Memorial Day.

Wednesday and Bunco

 I slept pretty well last night and was up at 4:30AM, dressed made my bed and got myself ready for the day. There were no cats out there for breakfast until 6:00AM when Blondie showed up. I took him a bowl of both wet cat food and dry cat food. He is eating now.

I walked around the yard looking for it an then remembered I had put it in the frig last evening. So I got it out and took it out to her.

I went out and raked on the back yard and then mowed it again. The only cats that came for a meal today were Whitey and Blondie.

David called everyone about Bunco on Wednesday. I hope we have more than we had last time. Only four of us came last time two weeks ago. Usually we have twelve. Several had responsibilities to some of their family. 

I always look forward to it. It's good fellowship, Wednesday is also the day I get my hair done at 9:00AM.

Sunday and Dinner at Church

 I slept well again last night and was up at 6:00AM. I made my bed, dressed and got myself ready for the day. After a while Blondie came for his breakfast. I took it out to him and when Grey showed up, Blondie let him have his leftovers.

Then I had my two cups of Chai Latte and a breakfast bar. 

The weather on the 8's finally showed up too. Today is to be 80 degrees and sunny,  tomorrow is to be 83 degrees and cloudy, Tuesday is to be  82 degrees AM Thunderstorms, Wednesday is to be 81 degrees and sunny and Thursday is to be 74 degrees and scattered Thunderstorms. Friday is to be 65 degrees and cloudy, Saturday is to be 57 degrees and AM showers. That's the week! Four days of rain Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday and Saturday. That's plenty of rain! And we always need it!

I went on to church in time to be there by 10:00AM and took my two pies. Leslie had done a wonderful job planning the service. It was a baby blessing and many of the relatives of the parents came for the service. We had a nearly full house.

After the service was over we had very nice dinner and everyone stayed for the dinner too. Mike and I did the dishes. I gave the rest of the pecan pie to John and took the peach pie home. There were  three pieces of it. 

Now I am going to look for something to read. I had finished my second book. It's 3:46PM now. After I got home from church, I went down to Lowe's in Bartlesville and bought two sale baskets of pansies. I watered them after I got them hung up on the hooks..one in the front and one in the back yard.

Saturday and More Mowing

 It's 8:33AM now and all I have is "the weather on the 8's". I slept later this morning then usual. it was 6:30AM until I woke up. I went back to my last book and am waiting until later to start my mowing. I don't want to disturb my neighbor's sleep.

So far, there are no cats out there. They may have given up on me...at least so far.

So far, no cats and no mowing until later this morning...

I mowed the back yard this morning and the west side just now. It's 3:44PM now.

I went over to Tyro to Jay's and bought two Amish pies for tomorrow's dinner at church...one pecan and one peach, He didn't have any cherry today.

I have not seen any cats but Whitey all day. I did go up to have lunch with Joyce and  Roger, They had a great pork sandwich and I had a can of coke and chips with it.

I am pretty sweaty now. The mowing was very sweaty. I will get back to my last book now. I am also very tired! But at least for a week the mowing is done. I do have to trim sometime after I cool off.

Sometime tomorrow after church and the dinner I will trim around the yard. The rest is done for a week.

I took my bath at 7:30PM and put my pajamas on. I will read a John Grisham book until Monday when I can go to the library and get a couple more books. It's 8:04PM now. I plan to go to bed at 9:00PM. I am very tired....quite  bit of mowing today.

Friday and the Grass Mowed

I was up at my usual 5:00AM. Made my bed, dressed and got myself ready for the day. This afternoon, between 3:00PM and 5:00PM,  Krystal's niece will mow my yard. I will pay her $25.00 to do that.

I fed Blondie and Grey and they finished their breakfast and left. I brought in their bowls.

Today is to be 78 degrees and sunny, Saturday is to be  83 degrees and mostly sunny and windy. Sunday is to be 87 degrees and sunny. Monday is to be 82 degrees and Mostly sunny, Tuesday is to be 78 degrees and AM rain and wind, Wednesday is to be 83 degrees and sunny, and Thursday is to be 62 degrees and partly cloudy. One day of rain and that's Tuesday.

Whitey came for his/her breakfast later in the day and ate and then I took the bowl back in the kitchen. 

Krystal's niece never showed up so I mowed the front yard myself. If I have time on Saturday, I will mow the back yard and maybe the west side too. I hope it doesn't rain. It's supposed to rain on Tuesday. I hope it holds up until then.

I read almost all day. I drove over to Tyro to buy a couple of pies for Sunday's dinner but Jay was not open. So it was a wasted trip. I did go on into Coffeyville though since I was that far anyhow. I needed to cash a $50. check one of my classmates had sent me for payment toward stamp money for the class newsletter. I tried to cash it at one of the Caney banks but since I didn't have an account there, they wouldn't cash it. I sent the classmate a thank you card.

While I was over there, I bought gas at a station on 8th street. I didn't try to go out to South Coffeyville again since the Woodshed would not accept my debit card the last two times I went out there to South Coffeyville. Their gas pumps were not working. That station on eighth street did and it saved me a trip out to South Coffeyville.

I read all evening after mowing and finished my second book. I will take it back to the library today.  

I finally went on to bed at 8:30. I was very tired.

I will call Jay tomorrow and see if he will be open on Saturday so I can go back over to Tyro and buy a couple of pies for the dinner at church on Sunday.

 

Thursday and Laundry

 I slept well last night again. I was up at 5:00AM and made my bed, dressed and got myself ready for the day.

When I opened the front door, Grey was there waiting for breakfast. So I fixed a bowl with wet and dry cat food and took it out to Grey. He ate it and left. I brought the bowl back in and covered it with a napkin..

I took my kitchen trash out to the dumpster and fixed myself some breakfast of a breakfast bar and Chai Latte.  Then I started my laundry.

Today is to be 67 degrees and sunny and windy, Friday is to be 74 degrees and sunny, Saturday is to be 83 degrees and mostly sunny and windy.  Sunday is to be 88 degrees and sunny, Monday is to be 82 degrees and PM Thunderstorms, Tuesday is to be partly cloudy and windy and Wednesday is to be 86 degrees and mostly sunny.

That's the week!  Monday's thunderstorms are all the rain we will get this week!

More Later..I need to put the laundry in the dryer. 

I got the clothes dried and put away Then I tried to call Sally to see if she wanted to go to Copan to lunch but she was not home evidently.  No one answered.

So I next drove by her house and sure enough she was sitting in her car where she usually parks it when she returns home from somewhere. She had evidently been somewhere earlier. She does want to go to lunch.

I will pick her up at noon, It's 11:10 right now.

Later Blondie came for his breakfast too. I fed him and then Whitey  came for the leftovers and cleaned up the dish. I brought both dishes in the house.

I left for  Coffeyville and my hair appointment about 8:00AM. I had my color and cut and went to the bank there for some cash. It rained all the way over there and back home.

I bought a cherry limeade slush while I waited for my appointment and later after I got back to Caney, I stopped at the Sonic here and bought a chocolate milkshake. That's all I had all day. 

Then I read the rest of the day. I took my bath at 7:00PM and then read some more. I plan to go to bed at 9:00PM.

Tomorrow I will see if  Sally wants to go to Copan for lunch. She doesn't work on Thursdays.

Tuesday and a Concert with Cher

 I was up at 5:00AM this morning, made my bed and dressed and got myself ready for the day. I fixed my Chai Latte and a breakfast bar.  Grey was out front when I opened the front door so I fixed his/her breakfast and took it out to him/her. She/ He ate and left and soon Whitey came to finish off what Grey had left.

Then I caught "the weather on the 8's" and here it is.

Today is Tuesday and to be 71 degrees and AM rain,  Wednesday is to be 60 degrees and rain and wind, Thursday is to be 68 degrees and  mostly sunny and windy, Friday is to be 74 degrees and sunny, Saturday is to be  81 degrees and mostly sunny and windy, Sunday is to be 85 degrees and sunny, Monday is to be 83 degrees and PM thunderstorms. That's the week...lots of rain and wind.

Sally came by about 6:00PM and picked me up for the concert in Bartlesville. She drives at night. I don't see clearly driving at night. Folks don't dim their bright lights at night. It was a good concert.

Monday and a Solar Eclipse

I slept well last night again. I was up at 5:00AM, made my bed, dressed and got myself ready for the day.  I will not look at the sun today because I have no special glasses and don't want to burn my eyes.

Sunday and Church

 I slept well last night but was up early again. I make my coffeecake on Sundays and take it to church for a breakfast. It is in the oven now baking. I have the timer on so it won't over bake.

I have had my breakfast bar and Chai Latte...at least one cup. I am working on the second one. There are no cats out there yet. I have checked twice. It's only 5:54AM. I did catch "the weather on the 8's" though and here it is.

When I opened the front door this time Grey was out there so I took his breakfast out and suddenly Blondie was out there too..growling at Grey for the breakfast. I took another bowl out and now they both have  a bowl and are eating.

Saturday and a Windy Day

I was up early as usual. I made up my face, dressed and got myself ready for the day. I looked out the front door a couple of times but there were no cats out there..not yet anyhow.

I had my Chai Latte and a breakfast bar and caught "the weather on the 8'".

Today is to be 76 degrees and partly cloudy and windy. Tomorrow is to be  74 degrees and sunny, Monday is to be 76 degrees and partly cloudy, Tuesday is to be 73 degrees and mostly cloudy, Wednesday is to be 62 degrees and AM showers, Thursday is to be 68 degrees and partly cloudy, Friday is to be 72 degrees and sunny

That's the week. Only one day of rain and that's Wednesday. As I always say, it's better than no rain at all.. 

Now I will go see if there are any cats outside waiting for their breakfast.

Whitey was out there so I fed him/her and after they ate, they left. I haven't seen any more of them.

I went up to Big Cheese for my lunch.  It was, as usual, very good. I brought some of it home and put it in the frig for tomorrow.

Friday and Laundry

I washed my sheets and changed my bed this morning and am drying the sheets in the dryer now. It was time!,

I opened the front door to find Blondie waiting for his breakfast..  I fed him and he is busy eating now. Maybe some of the other cats will be along soon for their breakfasts.

More later...I will  get the dry sheets out of the dryer now and fold them and put them away..

Now Whitey is out front eating and Blondie has finished and is gone. 

I got the laundry finished and  changed the sheets on the bed.

The exterminator came and sprayed the apartment. Then I decided to mow some more of the yard. I did part of the west side before I wore out.. I bagged up and tied up and emptied two large bags of grass and weeds first. Then I prepared to go to the library and get some more books to read. They open at 12:30PM on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, I am still pretty tired now to do any more mowing.

 I am going to go get some lunch. It is 11:50AM now. I finally remembered that Big Cheese is closed on Monday and Friday. So I will go somewhere else for lunch..Maybe Eggbert's here in Caney.

Actually, I went to Dollar General and bought some ice cream. Nothing else sounded good to me. I also bought some more wet cat food.

I am reading more now. It's 6:47PM and in an hour or so, I will go to bed.

Thursday and Another Good NIght's Sleep

 I had a good night's sleep again last night...thanks to the Melatonin!

I opened the front door to Blondie sitting in the box and Grey waiting for his breakfast too. I fed them both and they left and now Whitey is having their leftovers. I had a cup of Chai Latte and a breakfast bar myself. I am just getting ready to have my second cup of Chai Latte.

Later today, around 10:00AM,  I will call Sally and see if she would like to go to the Copan restaurant for lunch. ..usually a cup of beef vegetable soup and a shared piece of German Chocolate pie. We usually do that at least once a week. I drive. It's only 6 miles.

Sally had two broken windows with that hail storm the other day.  I don't know if she has them fixed by now but I will find out when I call her.

Wednesday and Bunco at the Senior Center

I slept very well last night. That Melatonin is a really life saver.I was up at 5:00AM, dressed made my bed and got myself ready for the day. I checked the front door but so far there have been no cats out there. Of course, it's only 5:29AM. There is plenty of time for them to come looking for their breakfasts.

Tuesday and Back to the Books

 I slept well again last night and was up at almost 5:00AM. I dressed and made my bed and got myself ready for the day. I didn't take a bath last night because we were in the middle of a storm warning. I just took a washcloth bath and went on to bed at 7:30PM.

I opened the front door this morning to find Grey waiting for his breakfast so I took it out to him. He is eating now. I will need to get some more wet cat food today at Dollar General. So far Grey is the only one out there. I am ready to fix my own Chai Latte and breakfast bar.

I had my Chai Latte and breakfast bar.  Then Whitey came for his/her breakfast so I took that out to her/him. After Whitey left I brought the bowl in.

Then I did catch "the weather on the 8's" and here it is. Today is to be 54 degrees and cloudy, and tomorrow is to be 59 degrees and sunny and windy. Thursday 64 degrees and sunny, Friday is to be 67 degrees and mostly sunny,  Saturday is to be 74 degrees and mostly sunny and windy,  Sunday is to be 71 degrees and sunny and Monday is to be 73 degrees and partly cloudy. That's the week! We had plenty of rain and storm last evening.

In fact, Leslie told me Sally had a broken window and we had hail as large as  golf balls. She leaves both of her cars out at the curbs so I imagine they have hail damage. Luckily I keep mine in the garage when I'm home..  

It's 6:10 AM now. At 8:00AM, I will go to Dollar General for water and the wet cat food.

Monday and Apartment Cleaning

I was up early again as usual. I slept better last night because as I awoke during the night and was trying to get back to sleep, I took an extra two Melatonin and got back to sleep..I had taken three at my regular bedtime. 

I had my first cup of Chai Latte and a breakfast bar and then saw Blondie out front waiting for his breakfast too. I took it out to him. He ate his fill and left. So far, no other cats. They will probably be along later.

I did catch "the weather on the 8's". Here it is. Today is to be 75 degrees and strong thunderstorms, Tuesday is to be 52 degrees and cloudy, Wednesday is to be 61 degrees, sunny and windy, Thursday is to be 63 degrees and sunny, Friday is to be 69 degrees and mostly sunny, Saturday is to be 75 degrees and sunny, and Sunday is to be  78 degrees and partly cloudy. That's the week! One day of rain and that's today. That's better then nothing! 

I will clean the apartment today. It's been over a week.

Saturday and Probable Mowing

I slept well again last night and was up at 5:30AM, I don't have anything to read since I finished my John Gresham  book. I had read it years ago but couldn't remember the story.

When I opened the front door this morning,  at first there was no cat there. But when I opened it later, Whitey was there waiting for her/his breakfast so I fixed it and took it out to her/him.  She ate her fill and left and then Blondie came for his breakfast and I fixed the second bowl and took it out to him.

Then I caught "the weather on the 8's" and here it is. Today is to be 72 degrees and mostly cloudy, Sunday is to be 81 degrees and cloudy and windy, Monday is to be 74 degrees and Thunderstorms, Tuesday is to be 57 degrees and AM clouds and PM sun, Wednesday is to be 61 degrees and sunny Thursday is to be 67 degrees and sunny, Friday is to be 76 degrees and sunny. Once again, one day of rain and that is Monday. One day is better then nothing at all. We can certainly use the rain. 

I went to Caney Drug and picked up my meds.

Then I checked the mail. My Caney Drug is not going to be my pharmacy network after 5/31/24, I will need to call Cigna Monday and see if I can get that reinstated. I do not want to go to Bartlesville to get my two prescriptions filled. It has been so handy to have Caney Drug take care of automatically having them filled each month.

I mowed most of the back yard about 8:00AM. I need to rake the leaves away from the fence to finish it. But I also need to go out to Dollar General and get some more black leaf bags. I used the last ones this morning. I will also need to eventually mow the west side yard and trim all of the yard.   I am too tired to do that now.

I did most of the raking at the back yard and fixed another black yard bag of full of leaves and put that one in the dumpster too.

Friday and Another Good Night's Sleep

I slept well last night and was up at 4:45AM and made my bed and dressed and got myself ready for the day. I had my first cup of Chai Latte and my breakfast bar. I checked for cats but it's only 5:22AM and none were out there yet.

My Keurig needs to be cleaned again and I don't remember how to do it. Leslie showed me a year ago but I have slept since then and I don't recall now. It's been awhile. I will ask her to come show me again if she can work me into her busy schedule.

Grey and Whitey came for their breakfasts and after they ate, they left and I brought the bowls back in the kitchen.

Leslie came just before lunch and cleaned up my Kaurig and then we went to Bartlesville for lunch and for her to send back a package she bought through Amazon. She also bought gas while we were down there and she washed her car at Okie's car wash..

Then we came back home.I read the rest of the afternoon, Blondie came for his dinner and I fed him. He ate then left and Whitey came  and I fed him/her and she/he left and then I thought I would mow the front yard since Stephen had mowed his. I took a photo of it after I put the clippings in the trash receptacle. But then couldn't recall how to post the photo I took. Getting old is not for sissies! :)

Thursday Morning and a Dental Appointment

 I slept well again last night and was up at 4:43AM. I made my bed and dressed and got myself ready for the day. I haven't checked the weather yet or even the cats. It's a little early for that. I will fix myself some Chai Latte and a breakfast bar first.

I am so pleased that John got my mower ready for the season of mowing. It may be a little early to start but at least it's ready now. I am thinking of raking the leaves and bagging them up if it's warm enough to do that. That will set my allergies off but I am going to have to do something about all those leaves from the neighbor's trees. Either rake them or mow them. It's so messy out there.

Right now I will see to the Chai Latte and breakfast bar. 

I have an 11:30AM dental appointment this morning. She wants to do bite wing x rays. I don't think it's necessary. I floss every day religiously. And it will just cost me more money.

When I opened the front door again, Grey was there waiting for his breakfast. I took it out to him...wet and dry cat food. He is eating now. 

I finished my breakfast bar and will fix my second cup of Chai Latte now.

I took my last book to the library and  dropped it in the book drop. They close at 2:00PM on Tuesdays so I will have to wait until tomorrow to get more books.

Wednesday and Game Day

 I slept well last night and was up close to 6:00AM. I made my bed, dressed and got myself ready for the day.

When I finally opened the front door Grey was out there ready for his/her breakfast I took it out to him/her and Grey proceeded to eat. Soon Blondie came along and nudged the grey cat over and out of his way so he could eat his breakfast.

So I took the second bowl out to him, complete with both dry and wet cat food. Now they are both eating. I will need to get some more wet cat food today. Blondie got the last bit of wet cat food.

I will get my hair done this morning at 9:00AM and later in the day at 1:00PM, I will go to game day at the senior center. 

I am having my breakfast now too. Chai Latte and a breakfast bar.

John, my son in law, will come here after the doctor's appointment he has today. I asked him to prepare my mower for the mowing season.  He had me take it into the back yard and put it next to the gate there. He says it needs two filters and gas and oil. I am so grateful to him for doing this. I don't know who in Caney could care for it if he wouldn't.

I went over to Dollar General and bought more wet cat food.

I left for Coffeyville and my hair appointment about 8:30AM. I got that done at 9:00AM and then got a pedicure. It had been awhile. In March the pedicure will go up to $45.00. I used to pay $35.00 but in the meantime it had gone up to 40.00. Now it will go up to $45.00 in March. After that I went to the senior center and sat in the bridge room and read in my latest library book. We started playing the card game, "Skipbo", at 1:00PM and played until 3:30PM. There were  five of us and we had a good time. 

When I got home the lawn mower was nowhere to be found. I assumed John had taken it home to do the work. Sure enough! He did and it started for him the third pull on the starter. He put two filters in it and filled it with gas and oil. He and Leslie brought it home to me this evening. It may be too early in the season to mow. I will check with them and ask.

Well Blondie finally came for his breakfast  and I took it out to him. Whitey also came but Blondie ran her/him off. I bawled him out for that. There were two bowls out there..enough for both of them. After Blondie ate all he wanted, Whitey came back and finished what he had left. I didn't see Grey today...at least not yet.

I called Sally to see if she wanted to go to Copan for lunch but she was in Bartlesville at the dermatologist office. She took a rain check. Perhaps we can go Thursday. Today I may go to Independence to the Dairy Queen or Big Cheese for my lunch instead.

When I opened the front door, both Blondie and Blue were out there waiting for their breakfasts. They are both eating now.

I went to the church about 9:00AM and swept off the seeds at the  front door. Then I had some coffeecake and Chai Latte.  I had a little left and after the service, which was very good, we all went to Maria's in Independence for lunch. I am not real good on Mexican food but the others were going there so that's where I went too.

When I got home I started one of the books I checked out at the library. Whitey also came back for some more of the cat food...especially the hot stuff. I will need to get some more tomorrow. Between the three of them, they made a dent in the food I just bought.

I read most of the afternoon and watched some CBS news too. 

At 7:00PM,  I took my bath. It's 7:36PM now and I will go to bed soon...usually around 9:00PM . I am quite tired.

Grey came for breakfast and ate some, I saw the little white cat come near too but he/she went across the street. Evidently Grey was intimidating.  Grey is eating some more now. I took the cat food back out to him. It's only 7:34AM now and the library doesn't open on Saturday until 8:00AM. I need to take the book I read yesterday back to them and get another.

I went to Gabbies for an early lunch and then I went to the library and checked in a book and checked out three other books and have read all afternoon. It's 3:59PM now on March 23rd.

Both Grey and Blondie came for their breakfast and I gave them both a bowl of both wet food and dry food. They ate and left. I took the bowls in and covered them and put them in the frig.

I mopped the bare floors and also ran the sweeper and recharged it afterwards.  I also did some laundry...one load.

And I did go to Copan for lunch and had a cup of soup and a piece of German Chocolate pie with iced tea.

Thursday and the Library Again

I went to bed last night after I finished the second book. I will take both of them back to the book drop later this morning and get two more even later in the day. It's the middle of the night now and I seem to have my sleep out for some strange reason. I just got up and made my bed and dressed. I have yet to start the morning. It is 2:31 AM now. 

Grey came for his breakfast and I fixed him some. Later Blondie came for breakfast too so I fixed him some too. After they both ate, they left and I covered and put away the dishes in the frig.

More Later ...I need something to read until the library opens today. I will look over my own library for something to read until then. The library opens at 8:00AM until 2:00PM today.

I found another John Grisham book I don't recall reading although I am sure I have read it far in the past. I have read every book in my personal library. The name of the book is "The Rainmaker". So far, it is interesting.

After 8:00AM, when the Caney library opens I will take back the two of theirs I have read and check out two more.

It's 7:37AM now.

Later this morning, around 10:00AM,  I called Sally to see if she wanted to go up to Independence to the Dairy Queen and have lunch.

I called Sally and she did want to go to Independence's Dairy Queen with me so I dropped by and picked her up sometime between 11:30 and 12:00 noon. We had a good lunch at the Dairy Queen there. We dropped by their Wal Mart Store looking for an Atlas for her but we couldn't find one.  

Then I took her home and came home myself. I will get back to my latest book now. The two I got were "Stranger in Paradise" and "Split Image" both by Robert B. Parker.

I did a load of laundry and I finished the first book and began the second. I took my bath at 7:30PM and got myself ready for bed. When the laundry dried, I folded it and put it away. 

Tomorrow morning I will mop the bare floors and run the sweeper and charge it.

It's 8:41PM now and beginning to rain.  I also watched the CBS evening news with Norah O'Donald this evening before I finished that first book. I plan to go to bed around 9:00PM.

Wednesday and Bunco

 I slept well last night and was up shortly before 5:00AM. When I opened the front door the cat, Grey, was there waiting for breakfast. So I fixed some for him and he ate and left.

I then caught "the weather on the 8's" Here it is.

Today is to be 70 degrees and mostly sunny, tomorrow is to be 71 degrees and mostly cloudy,  Friday is to be 70 degrees and partly cloudy Saturday is to be 63 degrees and mostly cloudy,  and Sunday is to be 64 degrees and PM showers and wind Monday is to be 56 degrees and rain and Tuesday is to be 57 degrees and mostly  sunny.

That's the week! A couple of days of rain...Sunday and Monday.

I have had a cup of Chai Latte and a breakfast bar. I will have another cup of Chai now.

Tuesday and Cookies

 I was up at 5:00AM this morning and I made my bed, dressed and got myself ready for the day. I fixed myself some Chai Latte and a breakfast bar and when I opened the front door, Grey was there waiting for his breakfast. I took it out to him and he ate all the wet cat food and some of the dry cat food too. Then he left.

Then I caught "the weather on the 8's" and here it is..the forecast for the week.

Today is to be 76 degrees and mostly sunny and windy, Wednesday is to be  73 degrees and mostly sunny, Thursday is to be 66 degrees and showers, Friday is to be 69 degrees and partly cloudy, Saturday is to be 64 degrees and partly cloudy, Sunday is to be 67 degrees and showers and wind Monday is to be 58 degrees and rain.. That's the week!  A few days of rain or showers. Thursday, Sunday and Monday.

I read for awhile and then noticed Blondie was outside the door waiting for his breakfast.  I took it to him...fresh wet cat food and some dry too.

He was eating when I went to turn up the heat on the furnace. 

Then I came in the den and updated my blog. Now I will go back to my book....and Blondie.

Before I left for Independence, I went by the city hall and voted. I voted for Nikki Haley. Trump has too much bad baggage and the president is also too old.

More Even Later ..I went to Independence and bought the cookies at the store across from the church. I took them to the church and the pastor came and got them and took them into the church. Then I stopped by their Walmart and took my plastic bottles into their recycling center and put them in it.

When I got home, I called Sally to see if she wanted to go to Copan for lunch. She thought it was a good idea and I will pick her up in another twenty minutes.

I picked up Sally at noon and we ate at Copan.

And I finished my latest Grisham book and put it back in my bookcase. 

I went to the library and checked out two more books. 

Then Keith called me and gave me the telephone number of Elfreda Mayfield, one of my classmates. I called her back. She had only my land line number. He gave her my cell number. We talked for quite awhile. She had lost her husband, Jim.

Monday and Reading Again

I slept well last night and was up at shortly before 5:00AM. I made my bed, dressed and got myself ready for the day. When I opened the front door, Grey was there waiting for his breakfast.  So I fixed it and took it out to him.

As he ate, I watched "the weather on the 8's" and here it is.

Today is to be 48 degrees and sunny, Tuesday is to be 76 degrees and sunny, Wednesday is to be 70 degrees and mostly sunny, Thursday is to be 65 degrees and mostly cloudy, Friday is to be 70 degrees and partly cloudy, Saturday is to be 66 degrees and AM showers, and Sunday is to be 73 degrees and scattered thunderstorms. So two days of rain...Saturday and Sunday. We can use the moisture!

I went out to Eggbert's and had a hamburger and french fries for lunch. It was pretty good but there was an awful lot of it. I brought some of it home in a box. I may heat it up and eat it later.

Sunday and Dinner at Church

 I slept well last night and was up at 3:45AM. I opened the front door but no cats were there yet. I did catch "the weather on the 8's"though. Today is to be 58 degrees and partly cloudy, Monday is to be 51 degrees and sunny, Tuesday is to be  77 degrees and sunny, Wednesday is to be 73 degrees and PM showers, Thursday is to be 66 degrees and showers, Friday is to be  66 degrees partly cloudy, Saturday is to be 67 degrees and AM showers. Only two days of showers and that's Wednesday and Thursday.

I will check on the cats again.It's 4 :31AM  now.

It's 5:51AM now and I am waiting for the sun to come up to start for church.  And I have set the two pies out to thaw.

Blondie finally came for his breakfast. He came back twice to eat and then Grey came to eat when Blondie was finished..

And I have had my Chai Latte and a breakfast bar.

We had a good service at church and a good dinner afterward. I gave away the leftover pie to anyone who wanted some. There was half the cherry pie. All the pecan pie was gone.

Blondie came back for some supper this afternoon.  I gave him some more food...especially the wet type. They all really would rather have the wet type food instead of the dry food. But they will eat whatever I take out to them.

I took my bath at 7:15PM and put my pajamas on and will read this evening until time to go to bed about 9:00PM.

Saturday and Laundry

I was up early as usual about 5:00AM and have had both cups of Chai Latte and my breakfast bar. 

Both Grey and Blondie have been here for their breakfasts and are gone now. I am still waiting for Whitey to come for it's breakfast.

The laundry dried and I put it away. I have been reading my second book this morning. I read the first one yesterday.  It is 9:56AM now. I am planning to have lunch at Gabbies today. I don't know what she is serving today but I will find out later.

I read all afternoon and finally at 2:00PM I went up to Gabbies for lunch. As usual, it was good.

After that I came back home and finished reading that second book and then to it to the library drop box and dropped it in. Monday I will have to get a couple of more books checked out. Right now the library is closed.

Friday and Feeding Cats

I slept well last night and was up at 5:00AM. I made my bed and got dressed and got myself ready for the day. I opened the front door to find Blondie there waiting for his breakfast. After he ate and left, Whitey came and ate too.

Today is to be  65 degrees and cloudy and PM sun, Saturday is to be 69 degrees and partly cloudy, Sunday is to be 61 degrees and partly cloudy, Monday is to be 53 degrees and sunny, Tuesday is to be 75 degrees and sunny, Wednesday is to be 72 degrees and partly cloudy, and Thursday is to be 70 degrees and thunderstorms. That's the week! One day of rain!

Now I will check on the cats again.

Blondie and Grey came back again to eat. They finished and left again.

Finally, Grey came for it's breakfast and is still eating. That's three of the four.

Next Tuesday is primary election day. 

I read until 10:47AM.

Then I stopped and rested. 

I went over to Tyro to Jay's and bought two pies for dessert for Sunday's dinner at church.

Then I came back home and put them in the freezer and read until 4:00PM. Then I took the book I had been reading to the library drop box and dropped it in.

Thursday and Rain

I was up at 4:30AM after a good night's sleep. I dressed, made my bed and got myself ready for the day. I even caught "the weather on the 8's".

First I opened the front door to see if any cats were out there. It was barely raining so they were not out there. Maybe a little later...

Here's the weather forecast for the week though.

I called  Sally before noon and asked her if she wanted to go to Copan for lunch. She did. I picked her up at noon  and we drove down there and had a nice lunch. Some vegetable beef soup and we split a piece of German Chocolate pie. Then I took her home.  Blondie and the small white cat (I call Whitey) both came for some lunch. They ate and left and I took the bowls in the house.

After that I stopped by the library and checked out two more books to read and have been reading the rest of the afternoon. It's 4:10PM now. I plan to go to the Betterment group meeting at 6:30PM. It's been awhile since I have attended one.

Wednesday and Hair Appointment in Coffeyville

I slept  well last night and was up at 5:00AM as usual. I am watching TV for "the weather on the 8's". I have had my breakfast bar and am drinking my second cup of Chai Latte.

When I opened the front door I saw Blondie was in the box with the rug in it, ...trying to get warm, I imagine. Poor guy. So far no more cats. I fed him and he ate hungrily.

The little white cat came for it's breakfast too and so did grey. I got  all three fed..  

At about 8:30AM, I left for Coffeyville and my hair appointment. I took my water bottles out to WalMart and bought the wet cat food there and flavored water too. 

Then I went out to the Dearing cut off and took that road up to Independence to the Dairy Queen where I bought  the $7.00 chicken and french fries special along with a sundae and a Coke. Then I came on back home after buying gas at Miller Brothers in Independence.

I read quite awhile this afternoon and did some cleaning up in the back yard flowerbed. I also tried to clean a little in the area behind the hedge in the front.

Then I went back to my second library book until time for my bath.

I took my bath at 7:30PM. I will read until 9:00PM or so.  

It's Tuesday and I slept very well

 I slept until 6:15AM this morning That's very unusual. Then I made my bed and dressed and got myself ready for the day. I opened the front door to find the White cat waiting for it's breakfast so I fixed it and set it out there. Soon Grey came too so I fixed another dish. Then Blondie came and luckily whitey had finished and left some food in it's dish so everyone had something to eat. I need to get some more wet cat food. I hope the truck came yesterday. They have been out for a week.

Monday and A Call From Bo

 I slept well last night after taking that small pill. I was up at 5:00AM as usual and dressed, made my bed and got myself ready for the day. 

When I finally opened the front door that little white cat was in the box with the rug in it to try to be warm. I took it's breakfast out to it and it ate it's fill and left. Later I saw Blondie waiting for his breakfast too so I took the other bowl out to him. He is eating hungrily now. 

Bo will be calling my this morning to see how I am getting along with the new remote for my TV. I have a few problems but I will work them out over time.

I did catch "the weather on the 8's" this morning. Here is the week's forecast. 

Monday will be 51 degrees and showers Tuesday will be 55 degrees and showers, Wednesday is to be 53 degrees and rain, Thursday is to be 51 degrees and showers, Friday is to be 50 degrees and thunderstorms, Saturday is to be 47 degrees and rain. So a week of rain! That should help fill the Caney River. At least it will help.

Sunday and Breakfast at Church

I went to Independence late yesterday afternoon to go to their Walmart and get my watch turned to Daylight Savings Time today. I thought the woman in the jewelry department got that done and it would turn over to "spring forward" at midnight last night. But it didn't. It still says Saturday on the watch and still 3/9 on the date. It should say 3/10. The woman that reset my watch last year was not working yesterday and another woman tried to get it done..but that didn't happen. I will have to go back up there after church and see if the other woman is  working today. What a mess!

I am having my breakfast now. I didn't sleep as well last night as usual. My desktop computer was frozen when I finally got in the den to check it. It took three shut downs to get it back up. 

And I couldn't get into my checking account either this morning. Who knows what is going on. 

I was able to turn on the TV and check  "the weather on the 8's".

Saturday and Laundry

I slept well last night and was up after 4:30AM, stripped my bed and am washing my towels and pajamas too. It has been awhile since I did sheets and it is time.

I opened the front door to find Grey looking for breakfast. I took it out there. 

I  am trying to learn my new TV card. It is pretty difficult. But I did find the English instructions on the back of the  card with the Spanish instructions.

I found "the weather on the 8's" and will copy the photo I took when it was on.

Today is Saturday and it is supposed to be 55 degrees and partly cloudy , tomorrow is to be 64 degrees and sunny, Monday is to be 69 degrees and sunny, Tuesday is to be 73 degrees and partly cloudy, Wednesday is to be 76 degrees and partly cloudy, Thursday is to be 69 degrees and scattered thunderstorms, Friday is to be 62 degrees and partly cloudy. One day of rain this next week and that is Thursday.

I got the laundry done, the bed changed and the rest put away. I called Sally to see if she wanted to go to Independence to the Dairy Queen. But she wanted to go to Gabbies for lunch so I changed my plan.We will meet at 12:30PM. at Gabbies.

I finished my Coffeyville book and will take it to the library tomorrow and put it in their drop box. Then I went to Caney's library and checked out two more books. 

It will take me most of the week to finish those. 

The white cat came for it's breakfast too. So I fed it too. They are all gone  now.

Friday and A New Remote

I slept well again last night and was up at 5:30AM, made my bed, dressed and got myself ready for the day. I am trying to learn the new TV remote and  card Bo installed yesterday.  I got "the weather on the 8's" with it.You simply press a button and speak into the remote and it takes you to whatever channel you want. You press O.K. after you speak into the remote. If you are not sure of the channel you need, you can just tell the remote what program you want. And with this remote you can even record any program you want. You can do that week by week or have the TV save entire weeks of the program you don't want to miss.  If I can just get it learned, it will be great and also convenient.

Once I get it learned, it will offer me all kinds of options.

When I opened the door this morning,  Blondie was waiting for his breakfast. When I got his and went  back to the door, Grey was out there too. So I fixed another bowl and took it out to Grey. By then Blondie had finished eating and left.

We had quite a storm last evening. We were under tornado warnings here at Caney and the sirens were blasting. We had hail and lots of wind.There was a tornado just west of Caney.

I haven't heard whether it ever touched the ground. I was in my clothes closet. The only area in my apartment that has no windows. 

There was a similar situation over at Coffeyville...twelve miles east of here.

Thursday and A TV Repair Today

My television has been down since Tuesday. It has to do with my Tivo. This happened once before a couple of years ago and Cox sent a man out to fix it. It was the Tivo then too, He was not familiar with the way to fix it but he called someone who was and that person walked him through it.and he got it fixed just fine.

I hope this technician will be able to fix it and I will still be able to use the Tivo. I use it every day recording something..sometimes more then one program.

When I opened the front door, Grey and Blondie were both out there looking for their breakfasts. I took each of theirs out there, Blondie had evidently been in a fight with a dog. He had some huge chunks taken out of his fur. When I set their breakfast out there, he started howling pitifully. I put their bowls separate a foot to a foot and a half away from each of them. He settled down then and ate, Grey was frightened of him because of his pitiful howls. He certainly looked pitiful. 

When I went back in the living room, both Grey and Blondie were gone but soon the white cat came to eat on what was left in the bowls. 

Bo, from Cox Complete Care, came this morning and installed a new card in my TV that eliminates the Tivo altogether. It is very simple and is very affordable. He stayed an hour and got everything set up and showed me how to use the TV and record without a Tivo. It would not be any more expensive and will available in one remote. I can record anything I want to watch and I have dozens of new channels to watch. It will cost $120. a month but will eliminate Amazon Prime. I can get anything I want to watch with their new card.

I called Sally to see if she had had  lunch yet and she had not. I asked her if she wanted to go to Copan Restaurant for lunch and she thought that sounded good!  So I will go pick her up now. It is 1:51 PM so we are late but Cox had been here all morning

1. I will need to make some questions to ask Bo when he calls me Monday. For one thing I need to know how to get the red light turned off on the TV when you turn the TV off. I can get the lower  red  light off my using my former remote but that doesn't do anything for the red one under the TV picture.

2. I need to know what button to push to get the picture to come up. I think it's the channel button but after all the excitement this evening, I am not sure. I will ask him.

I spent 45 minutes in my clothes closet while we had the tornado warning. It was the only area in the house without a window.

It's 7:45PM and raining and I am going to take my bath now.
