Monday and a Warm Day

I was up at 4:45AM this morning and made my bed, dressed and got myself ready for the day. I haven's checked on the cats yet but I did find "the weather on the 8's" and here it is..

Today is to be 84 degrees and sunny, Tuesday is to be 91 degrees and sunny, Wednesday is to be 86 degrees and sunny, Thursday is to be 90 degrees and sunny and Friday is to be 79 degrees and mostly sunny, Saturday is to be 71 degrees and partly cloudy and Sunday is to be 76 degrees and mostly sunny. That's the week!

I have yet to check on the cats. I imagine they are very hungry and I think it's going to be pretty chilly out there too.

I will check on them now. More Later...

There were only two cats out there waiting for their breakfast and I fixed two bowls of both wet and dry cat food for them I imagine they will be joined by more very soon..as soon as the others see they are eating. I will watch for more and fix more food bowls as soon as that happens.

Saturday and Lunch With Joyce and Roger Today

I got up very early this morning and made my bed and also made my coffeecake. That's done for today. I made my bed and made up my face. and got myself ready for the day. That is done a day early and it is cooling now.

I haven't checked the cats yet. I have got the "weather on the 8's" photo done and I will put it here now. Today is to be 79 degrees and sunny, Tomorrow is to be 81 degrees and sunny, Monday is to be 82 degrees and mostly sunny, Tuesday is to be 86 degrees and sunny, and Wednesday is to be 85 degrees and sunny, Thursday is to be 79 degrees and sunny, Friday is to be 76 degrees and sunny. That's the week!

Friday and a New Lunch

 I never did make it to Copan for lunch yesterday. So I plan to go today. 

I did catch "the weather on the 8's" this morning. But first, I got my bed made and myself ready for the day. I have not checked on the cats yet. I will do that soon.

But the weather first...Today is to be 76 degrees and sunny, Saturday is to be 78 degrees and sunny, Sunday is to be 80 degrees and sunny, Monday is to be 80 degrees and mostly sunny,  Tuesday is to be 86 degrees and sunny. Wednesday is to be 79 degrees and sunny, Thursday is to be 74 degrees and sunny. That's the week! No rain in the forecast! Just plenty of sun.

Thursday and a Different Day

I was up and dressed and ready for the day by 4:00AM. Yesterday I learned the electricity had been off here in Caney and I wasn't even aware of it. I had been over to Coffeyville to the senior center for Bunco. It was back on when I got home later in the afternoon. But when I turned on the computer this morning and it wasn't going to boot up, I had to hit the "On" button and wait for the computer to finally come up. Finally it did. I waited for the blog to come up too. It took awhile. When I checked my phone I found a message from the power company about the outage. By then it was back up. Since I was at Coffeyville, I wasn't even aware of an outage until I saw that message.

I was going to have my Chai Latte this morning and the Keurig came up just fine but I didn't have any breakfast bars so later this morning at 8:00AM I will go to Dollar General and buy some more.

I haven't checked the cats yet this morning. I found them very hungry when I got home from Coffeyville yesterday so I fed five of them before bedtime. I imagine they are out there hungry this morning. Soon I will check.

Sure enough...there were 6 cats out there waiting for their breakfast. I refilled the bowls once because they ate all the food in those dishes.

I think I will go up to the Copan Restaurant for my lunch today.  They didn't have any German Chocolate pie last time I was there earlier this week. I had cherry in it's place but it's not the same. It's 6:52AM now.

Wednesday and Bunco at the Senior Center

I was up at 5:00AM and dressed and got myself ready for the day. I will be going to Bunco at the senior center at Coffeyville at 1:00PM. First I will have my hair done at 9:30AM.

At 7:00AM, I will leave for Coffeyville if it's light outside.

I imagine it will be light closer to 8:00AM. It is 7:18 AM now.

It's 7:22AM now and I have been up an hour, made my bed, dressed and got myself ready for the day. I haven't checked on the cats yet but I have checked out the weather forecast.  Here it is. Today is to be 66 degrees and sunny and windy, Wednesday is to be 65 degrees and sunny. Thursday is to be 71 degrees and sunny,  Friday is to be 75 degrees and sunny, Saturday is to be 76 degrees and windy and sunny, Sunday is to be 79 degrees and sunny, Monday is to be 75 degrees and PM Showers. That's the week! Several days of sunny and one day of PM showers and Tuesday sunny and windy. 

I think I will go down to Copan Restaurant for lunch today

There were five cats out there waiting for their breakfasts. I have one more bowl so I will have to go to Dollar General when they open at 8:00AM and get some more wet cat food. They went through all I bought yesterday. 

I have one half a can left and I am saving it for later. It's 8:00AM so Dollar General is open now.

More Later.. I put that half can of wet cat food in a bowl and set it out for one of the black cats. Those cats are very hungry every day. I also went to Dollar General and bought another box of wet cat food and some M and M candy for my two candy dishes. It's been awhile since I have done that. I also bought a half gallon of ice cream for me. The cats got cat food and I got ice cream.

I was up a couple of hours ago and made up my bed, dressed and got myself ready for the day. Then I made up my face and caught "the weather on the 8's". The apartment was chilly so I turned up the heat.

Here is the weather forecast. Today is to be 71 degrees and sunny, tomorrow is to be 67 degrees, sunny and windy.and  Wednesday is to be 66 degrees and sunny, Thursday is to be 71 degrees and sunny, Friday is to be 76 degrees and sunny, Saturday is to be 79 degrees and sunny, Sunday is to be 77 degrees and partly cloudy. That's the week...mostly sunny..except for the Sunday that is to be partly cloudy. and the Tuesday that is to be sunny and windy.

I should check on the cats now. I imagine they are very hungry. 

Sure enough, they were.  I read awhile and then made food for the cats. Five of them were out there very hungry! I fixed them dry cat food and wet cat food and set it out there. They ate until they were full and I watched TV awhile and then I went out to Eggbert's and had lunch. Then I went back to reading the book again. It's 2:52 PM now. I saved the rest of the lunch and put it in a box for later.

I checked the mail but there was none. The dumpster was emptied by the dumpster people and I set it in the garage. I went out to Dollar General and bought more dry cat food.

Sunday and A New Weather Forecast

I was up early as usual and dressed, made my bed and watched for the weather forecast. It is 6:23AM. In  an hour I will leave for the church. Now I am ready to watch for the weather forecast. Here it is. Today is to be 83 degrees and sunny, Tomorrow is to be 71 degrees and sunny, Tuesday is to be 68 degrees and sunny, Wednesday is to be 67 degrees and sunny, Thursday is to be 73 degrees and sunny, Friday is to be 77 degrees and mostly sunny,  Saturday is to be 68 degrees and showers. That's the week! Six days of sunny and one of showers and that day is to be Saturday.

I took it to church and several of us had some of it. I will save the rest of it for Stephen.. my landlord. He likes it a lot.

Karan and Phyllis and I went to Eggbert's in Coffeyville for lunch. It was very good.

Saturday and a Busy Day

I was awake at 6:00AM, dressed, made my bed and got myself ready for the day. The first thing I did was get my bed made and make myself ready. I thought I might get my coffeecake made a day early and take it over to the church early tomorrow.

Karan will be presiding for church. John and Leslie won't be there. They will be going to Mapleton, KS, with the RV Association and painting their church. I am sure Woody and Jodie Wilson will be there too. Woody is in charge of the RV Association. Leslie has a video service ready for Karan to use and she will run the computer that will show that video for church. I think this is the first time Karan will have done that. It's good to have several people that can do that...just in case. Melissa and Kelly will not be there tomorrow either.

Soon I will check on the cats. If they are out front, they are probably very hungry. Seems they always are.

Grey and Blackie were the only two out there...so I fed them. I am sure some others will be along later... There are usually six of them every day, sometimes twice a day..morning and evening.

It's 5:48AM now and I have made my bed but still have to get my face made up. and get myself ready for the day.  I have been balancing my checkbook instead of getting myself ready for the day. I will get that done and then get back to this blog.

Well, I got that done and am ready for the day.

I even balanced my checkbook. Now I will go check on "the weather on the 8's " and the cats.

I found "the weather on the 8's" after I got my face made up. Then I checked on the cats.There were six out there...all black..no Blondie yet. I  using all six dishes to feed those six cats.

There were six cats out there and I used all the dishes to feed them. Only one ate, left and walked away across the street.

I'd better get back in the living room and the front door. Yesterday the dog belonging to the neighbor to the south  carried off two of the bowls into their front yard and I had to go get them and take them in the house. I don't want to deal with that again today.

Tuesday and a new Keurig

Yesterday afternoon I went up to Independence's Walmart store and bought a new Keurig to use to make Chai Latte. The old one I have had for years sprung a leak somehow and every time i wanted to use it I had to use paper towels to mop up the mess it made on the counter top. I decided it was time! They were on sale at Wal Mart there in Independence. They were $40.00. I could hardly beat the price. I brought it home and set it on the counter top where the old one had set. I was uncertain how to fill it with water though. The water reservoirs  were different. I called Leslie and asked her to drop by on her way to pick up Diana in Bartlesville and go over the directions with me. She agreed to come show me how this one is filled at 8:00AM this morning. It's 7:30:AM now so I still have some time.

It's 7:24AM and I have been up quite awhile. In fact I have been up most of the night...off and on. I did finally get "the weather on the 8's". I haven't even looked for the cats. I will get to that a little later.

There were three black cats and Grey out there. So far..no Blondie. As soon as the market opens or Dollar General, I will buy some dry cat food. Right now they are eating only wet cat food by itself. 

I went to Dollar General and bought some dry cat food to add to their bowls. Then I went to the Caney Grocery and bought two Coffee Cake mixes. That cost a bit but I needed everything I bought. I see Blondie is out there now. I took him some dry cat food for half of his bowl.

Sunday and Brownies instead of Coffeecake.

I was up at 4:00AM this morning. I had slept well, made my bed and got myself ready for the day. I checked and I had no coffeecake mix. So I made brownies instead for the church breakfast. That won't be the same but I forgot to buy the coffeecake mix before I left for Springfield this weekend..unfortunately.  

We had a very good time at Springfield. Leslie was ordained a leader in our Mission Center. I left my bulletin at her house so I can't think of her new title. 

She got my text and answered me. She is a Bishop! I will leave this on my blog in case I have another lapse in memory. Thanks Leslie!

Friday and a Mission Center Conference at Springfield

Leslie called me last evening and asked me if I was planning on going to the Mission Center Conference at Springfield. I had forgotten which weekend it was so I was glad to be reminded. I am to go to their house today and put my luggage and pillow and sleeping bag in her car. Then I will put my car in Leslie's garage.  We will take her car... so I packed most everything last evening and loaded it into my car this morning. I will drive out to their house at 9:30AM this morning. We will still be coming back home on Saturday. It's just an overnight conference.

Karan had planned to go too but she forgot she is to work the front   desk at the Coffeyville hospital on Fridays.

And the man that sprays the apartment will be here to spray while I  am gone.. to do his annual spraying.

It's a good thing I have this blog. I was expecting to be going to a retreat and instead I am going to a Mission Center conference. Thank goodness Leslie reads the blog. That's fine. I always enjoy those too and see lots of people I know and enjoy some really good food.

Thursday and Copan Lunch

I was up at 5:00AM this morning and dressed, made my bed and got myself ready for the day. I plan to go to Copan for lunch today at 11:30AM. Hopefully the weather will be nice. The forecast all week has been sunny.

The cats ate a lot yesterday.. morning and evening. I did too. I ate  a bowl of Rocky Road ice cream yesterday afternoon. It was very good. I will have to be careful not to overeat and gain weight. 

I guess I will go check the weather and maybe the cats too.

And I had two more packages of pecans for my coffeecake for Sunday.

More Even Later.. I also want to see if they have any more pecan pieces for my coffeecake for next Sunday. Sure enough..I did. I will watch for more pecans. They had walnuts but I want pecans for my  coffeecake. I will watch for more.

Before I went to Copan Restaurant for my lunch. I mowed my front yard and the west side. It's a nice day and if I can still mow the back yard, I will do that this afternoon. My neighbor across the street saw me trying to start the mower and came over and asked me if I would let him try to start the mower for me. He got it done just fine. That was nice of him.

If it stays easy to start. I will get the back done too. I also got all the leaves in the black plastic bag and and the bag in the dumpster put the mower back in the garage. 

All I have to do is the back yard now. And it is easy to do. It's smaller then the front and west side.

I slept well last night but woke up before midnight. It was 11:51PM when I got out of bed. I made my bed, dressed and got myself ready for the day. It is still before midnight...Barely. I will go over to Coffeyville for Bunco this afternoon after I get my hair done this morning at 9:00AM. It is Wednesday now.

 I was awake at 5:30AM, made my bed, dressed, and got myself ready for the day. It is 6:33AM now. I am cleaning my keyboard now. It is smudged from using it.

I haven't checked on the cats or "the weather on the 8's" yet.

I would like some Chai Latte and a breakfast bar but the Keurig is leaking again and it needs cleaning. I am tempted to buy a new one. They are sometimes on sale but usually around the holidays.

Blondie and Grey were out there so I took some cat food out to the both of them.The wet cat food had been in the frig but they ate it anyhow.  When Dollar General opens at 8:00AM, I will have to go buy more wet cat food. Surely the others will be around by then. It's 7:50AM right now.

I went to Dollar General to get wet cat food but that and typing paper was all I could get, They had no pecan pieces.

I woke up very early, made my bed and got myself ready for the day. I had my Chai Latte and a breakfast bar for a light breakfast.

At 7:00AM, I fed 4 cats. They were Blondie, Grey and two small black cats.

Sunday and Coffeecake at Church

I fed several cats this morning and again this afternoon, I left for church early and it was almost too sunny to drive with the sun so bright. I managed though. The sun was very bright. I got to church and cut my coffee cake into pieces for each of us. There were nine of us in attendance. Billie Jo was back with us but Gene didn't come. I got the letter out too late. He will probably get his tomorrow or Tuesday.

Leslie had the service. She did a good job. 

Stephen will come over Tuesday and pick up his coffeecake.

I woke up at 4:00AM, dressed and made up my face and my bed and got myself ready for the day. I never did get the apartment cleaned this week. I will try to get to it sometime today. I will be going to church  this morning so it will probably be this afternoon before I get it done. But it needs to be done. 

I need to check on the cats too. But not right away. It's only 4:46AM now. I will also need to check on "the weather on the 8's" eventually.

Saturday and Apartment Cleaning

I never did get the apartment cleaned this week. I will try to get it done today after I get the Coffeecake made. I did get the laundry done.

I looked out the front door a little bit ago and did not see any cats at all. I did catch "the weather on the 8's" though. Here it is. Grey was the only cat out there so I opened the door cautiously and set his food out there. He is eating it now. So far there are not any more cats out there. I got the coffeecake finished and out of the oven and now am back to my blog. I haven't seen any more cats at all...not yet any how!

Friday and Apartment Cleaning

I slept well last night and was up about 3:35AM. I made my bed and dressed and got myself ready for the day. I have made my Chai Latte and a breakfast bar for my breakfast. I am just starting my blog and will go to Eggbert's later for more breakfast...probably an Omelet with sausage.

I want to clean the apartment this morning and do some laundry too.

I started raking yesterday evening but it's going to be big job if I get it done.

In the past, when I have raked the leaves into piles, I have gathered them up into big plastic bags and put them in the trash container. If I do that this time, it may take several days. We will see! I was several years younger at that time too. I could mow them but that too would be a big job.

I finally opened the front door and saw four cats waiting for their breakfast.There was Blondie, Grey and two small kittens. I fixed them all a dish of both wet and dry cat food and they began eating. 

In a little while I will go eat breakfast at Eggbert's.

I fixed a box for one of the cats to crawl into for warmth.  I put a small rug in it for additional warmth.

I also caught "the weather on the 8's" and here it is.

Today is to be 83 degrees and partly cloudy, Saturday is to be 85 degrees and partly cloudy, Sunday is to be 86 degrees and partly cloudy, Monday is to be 88 degrees and sunny, Tuesday is to be 79 degrees and sunny, Wednesday is to be 84 degrees and sunny, and Thursday is to be 88 degrees and sunny.

Thursday and Cookies for the Independence First Christian Church

I slept well last night and was up at 5:00AM, made my bed, dressed and got myself ready for the day! I took my kitchen trash out to the garage and put it in a larger trash bag. It's 5:59AM now.  

I have made my Chai Latte and am eating that and a breakfast bar for my breakfast. I haven't checked out "the  weather on the 8's" or the cats yet. I will check that out when I finish my light breakfast.

About 8:30AM I will leave for Independence to deliver the cookies to the First Christian Church in Independence. I need to be there at 9:30 AM or thereabouts. The maintenance man should be there then and he will pick them up from my car and take them into the church and put them in the frig there. I bought them last week at the market across the street from the church.

I am not interested in Firefox. I want to keep things simple! I have no working printer. I have three printers and none of them work. I will need to call Cox and have them out to get one of them working. They probably need ink cartridges and I do not know how to access the ink cartridges.

More Even Later... I called Beau.. who set up my present printer for me. He won't be in Caney today but he said he would try to get over here sometime soon and try to get that newest printer working. I think it needs a new print cartridge. But I can't figure out how to access the print cartridges on any of the three printers I have.

Wednesday and Game Day at the Coffeyville Senior Center

I slept well last night and was up at 5:00AM, made my bed, dressed and got myself ready for the day. I am having my Chai Latte and breakfast bar now in the den. It's 5:41 AM,

I will go over to Coffeyville when it gets light and have my hair done at 9:00AM and then later, I will go to the senior center and we will have game day. There are usually four of us..sometimes five. I will need to get a treat of some kind for the light dessert afterwards. There are usually five of us. Marilyn, Darlene, Karan, Janet, and me. 

Marilyn was not there. She is in a lot of pain in her back.

Now I will go check out the weather on the TV.

There were five cats out there and I fed them. After that I read in my book and then I went over to Coffeyville to go to the senior center. I went by Wal Mart and bought a treat for the card game at the senior center. I  finished the book and when I get home I will take it by the Caney library and drop it in the book drop.

I contacted Cox and moved my e-mail to yahoo.com. I can access it through the cox.com icon on my desktop.. It has been a busy day. Now I need to go to Dollar General and  buy some more cat food...both wet and dry.It's 5:27 PM now. The cats are probably out there...hungry again.

Tuesday and a Good Night's Sleep

I slept well last night and was up at 6:30AM. I made my bed, dressed and got myself ready for the day. I made up my face and began using the computer with "Margie's Musings". It is 7:16AM now. I haven't checked on the weather or the cats. 

Later, I will check out the Copan Restaurant for lunch. Right now I will fix my Chai Latte and a breakfast bar. I will get back to my last book and try to finish it today and put it in the library drop box and get three  more books later this week. I try to keep one going all the time.

I finally opened the front door to find five cats waiting for their breakfast. I fed all five and they are still eating some. When they finish I will bring the dishes in and go back to my last book.

The pastor at the First Christian Church in Independence called me a little bit ago to ask me if it would be just as good a day for me to come deliver their cookies on Thursdays instead of Tuesdays. Their maintenance man is always there on Thursdays and that would work better for them. It's not  a problem for me..either. It works for me too.

I went to Copan Restaurant for lunch. It was my usual bowl of soup and piece of German Chocolate pie. Always very good!

The cats kept me busy all day. They were evidently very hungry. We went through a lot of food.

I read and watched TV in the afternoon. I took my bath at 7:00PM and went to bed shortly after that.

 

Monday and a Chilly Day

 I was up at 2:00AM to a cool apartment. I watched the weather channel for awhile until "the weather on the 8's" came on and I saved that. I haven't checked for cats yet but I have had my  breakfast bar and my Chai Latte It's only 3:26 now so I have awhile to wait for them.

Here's the weather forecast for the week. Today is to be 70 degrees and AM showers, Tomorrow is to be 77 degrees and cloudy, Wednesday is to be 82 degrees and mostly sunny. Thursday is to be 79 degrees and partly cloudy, Friday is to be 76 degrees and showers, Saturday is to be 76 degree and showers, and Sunday is to be 80 degrees and partly cloudy. That's the week! two days of rain...Monday (today) and Friday...otherwise cloudy.  partly cloudy and mostly sunny.

Today is to be 78 degrees and scattered thunderstorms. Monday is to be 73 degrees and cloudy, Tuesday is to be 79 degrees and mostly cloudy. Wednesday is to be 80 degrees and sunny, Thursday is to be 80 degrees and mostly sunny, Friday is to be 79 degrees and showers, and Saturday is to be 81 degrees and showers. That's the week! One day of scattered thundershowers, two of mostly sunny and one of just sunny. and three days of showers, today and next Friday and Saturday.

We really need the rain. Now I need to check on the cats.

Saturday and a Good Night's Sleep

I will make my coffeecake this morning and have it ready for tomorrow's breakfast at church. It's 1:35AM now. I am wide awake though. I made my bed and dressed and got myself ready for the day.

I had a good visit yesterday with Gay and six of her friends. I had met them before in the past...one time several years ago. Everyone had a good dinner and a good visit. We all got her cards and one person had made her a cute apron. When I got home Gay called me. She had left her cards and the apron in a sack in my car. I found a box in the garage and wrapped the apron and cards in it and went to the post office and sent it to her. The postmistress said she would probably get it on Tuesday.

Three cats were out front and hungry. So I took them out some dry as well as some wet cat food and when they finished I brought their bowls in and washed them.

Friday and a Trip to Chanute.

I will be leaving for Chanute in a couple of hours when it becomes light out. I slept well last night but was up early as usual. It's 6:01AM now and I have made my bed, dressed and got myself ready for the day. I am going to celebrate Gay's 85th birthday with her family and friends. We will meet at Opie's there in Chanute. That's a nice restaurant. She will have nice group to celebrate with. 

I think we got some rain last night. I heard it on the cement of the driveway. 

I will catch highway 169 just west of Independence and take it all the way to Chanute. I have a map and I have tracked that highway with it.

Thursday and a Good Day

I was up at 4:14 AM this morning, made my bed, dressed and got myself ready for the day.  I turned on the TV to catch "the weather on the 8's". I also checked on the cats. There were four out there this morning so I took out four bowls of food. They are eating now. I will need to buy some more wet cat food after Dollar General opens at 8:00AM. They really go thru the cat food. I also need some powered sugar. I am out of that too. 

I have been watching TV and will get back to my second book later today.

I caught "the weather on the 8's" at 6:50AM. Here it is: Today is to be 97 degrees and AM thunderstorms. Tomorrow is to be 98 degrees and partly cloudy. Sunday is to be 90 degrees and PM thunderstorms. Monday is to be 75 degrees and  partly cloudy. Tuesday is to be 77 degrees and partly cloudy, Wednesday is to be 79 degrees and AM Showers. That's the week! We are going to get a couple of days of rain this week. Luckily Stephen's grandson got my yard mowed yesterday afternoon. That may be the last mowing. Sunday, Thursday and Wednesday are the days rain is forecast. The rest are forecast partly cloudy.

Wednesday and Bunco at the Senior Center in Coffeyville

I slept well last night and was up at 4:45AM, dressed and made my bed and got myself ready for the day.

I will go over to Coffeyville and get my hair colored and cut at 9:00AM, maybe go to the library to read and later at 1:00PM go to the senior center for Bunco. I will need to get a treat before I leave town. I will also need to stop by the bank and get some cash for the week and write a check for the mowing this afternoon. Benton will be mowing after he gets home from school.

Stephen's son, John, stopped by last evening and picked up the coffeecake for him. I checked later and sure enough, he did get it.

Today will be 91 degrees and sunny, Tomorrow is to be 96 degrees and partly cloudy and Friday will be 98 degrees and partly cloudy. Saturday is to be 96 degrees and partly cloudy. I noticed I had missed a call from Gay O'rourke yesterday so I called her back. We talked awhile and she had wanted me to come to Chanute for her 86th birthday on this Friday. I may do that. It has been a long while since I made that trip. She wants to meet at 10:30AM at Opie's..a nice restaurant there. It has been a long time since I have done that. I may do that since it has been a year since I have been to Chanute and seen Gay.

I will go to Copan today for lunch. It has been a few days since I have done that. I have been going to Eggbert's for breakfast instead.

I am going to Coffeyville tomorrow to the senior center for Bunco. I will stop at the cell phone store there and see if they have any stylus' to fit my phone. I don't like using my finger to text. I like using a stylus's instead. I have lost the last one I had. Yesterday evening I went to Independence's Wal Mart looking for one but neither that store or the two phone stores across the street from Walmart had stylus' to fit my phone. I will try Coffeyville's tomorrow.

Monday and Another Hot Day

I slept very well again last night . I woke up over an hour ago.I made my bed. dressed and had my Chai Latte and a breakfast bar. I fed four cats and they are still out front eating..There were just four  of them.  Grey, Blondie, Blackie and  Whitey.  I will need to go to Dollar General later after they open and buy both wet cat food and dry cat food. I am out of both as well as powdered sugar for the Coffee cake topping. 

I saved the coffee cake for  my landlord, Stephen .

Back From the Reunion Campgrounds

I got home late last evening from the campgrounds. I put away my luggage and took my bath and went to bed. I was very tired.

But it was a good experience.  There were several I knew there and we had some good meals too. Donna met me there and told me what she wanted with me. I don't want to post it here though.

I have baked the coffeecake for the Church's early breakfast this morning. It is cooling now.

I will check on the cats soon. I am sure they are hungry. They were very hungry last evening after no food for a full day.

Friday and a Trip to the Reunion Camp Grounds

I have been up a couple of hours putting my luggage together. Karan and Leslie and I are going to the church's camp grounds for an overnight stay. I will leave Caney at noon today and go to Karan's to meet Leslie. I think we will take Leslie's car. I will put mine in Karan's third garage for the weekend. I packed yesterday and did the last minute stuff this morning,

I dressed and made up my face this morning. I will put my luggage in the back seat of my car until we get to Karan's when we will put all our luggage together in one vehicle. We will have lunch when we get to the Joplin area. Leslie told me not to eat anything before then. 

Donna Munsinger called me last night and wants to meet with me when we get to the camp grounds. I have no idea what that's all about. I guess I will eventually learn by afternoon today.  

More Later. I'd better get my car packed. It's only 5:53AM so I have plenty of time. The cats will be plenty hungry by the time we get back home Saturday.

Thursday and Another Warm Day

It's 5:34AM and I have dressed and made my bed and got myself ready for the day. Soon I will go check out the weather and the cats. They are going to be very hungry...they always are! I fed them several times yesterday.

This morning I will go to Eggbert's and eat breakfast. I always like an Omelet there. Then I will go up to Independence and buy cookies for the First Christian Church at the grocery store across the street from the church. That's the job of the day.  

Tomorrow I will go with Leslie and Karan to the weekend retreat at our church campgrounds just south of Joplin.

Tonight I will pack and go over to Karan's in the morning and put my car in her garage if we take her car and put my suitcase in the car we take to the campgrounds. I don't know whether we will take Karan's or Leslie's car. I guess I will find out when Leslie comes if she comes here to pick me up. If she does that I will leave my car here in my own garage.

A Trip to Coffeyville Today for my hair appointment with Toni

I was up early as usual, made my bed and dressed and got myself ready for the day. I will go get my hair done with Toni and need to be there at 10:30AM. Her daughter has sports this morning and Toni won't be ready for me until 10:30AM instead of my usual 9:00AM. I will take the Coffeyville library book back to the Coffeyville library when I get there to kill some time. And I will go by their Sonic and get my usual Cherry Limeade slush.

It's only 4:03AM now. I don't imagine the cats are out there yet. It's way too early.

Tuesday and a Possible Trip to Tulsa

I was up early as usual and made my bed and dressed and got myself ready for the day. It's 5:23AM now and I have been up awhile.

Leslie may be home now from her trip to Washington D.C . She was supposed to come in last evening. She had been gone a few days to a peace colloquy. I had dropped by their house to check to see if she had come in last evening. John had thought she would be home last evening. I imagine she was exhausted from her flight.

I think we are supposed to go to Tulsa today to have a small cancer taken off her nose. I am supposed to go by the hearing aide man's office and have him check over my hearing aide and my hearing itself. I have taken my two meds and will go check out "the weather on the 8's" on TV now. I imagine some cats are out front by the front door waiting for their breakfast. Usually there are at least three or four there waiting not so patiently. That's what I saw Four or five cats waiting or their breakfast. I fed them all and they ate until it was all gone and still they were hungry.

More Later... Leslie didn't do anything about the cancer on her nose but she did pick me up at 9:30AM and drive me to the hearing Aide location in Tulsa and He tested me and got my hearing aide working much better. Then we went to Owasso and had lunch at Olive Garden. It was delicious!

I was up early again and made my bed and dressed and got myself ready for the day. A little later, I will go to Eggbert's and have breakfast. That will be after I feed the cats. I assume they will be out front in a little while. I will also go to Dollar General and get more breakfast bars for the week. I may buy more ice cream too. I think that's all I need. I may need more wet cat food too. I will check before I go.

No, I still have seven cans of wet cat food so I won't need that yet.

Sunday and Church

Again I was up pretty early. It's 3:34AM now. I have checked out my bank account and balanced my check book. I should get dressed now and get myself ready for the day.

I finished dressing and put my contact in and got my bed made and everything ready for the day. It's 5:22AM now. I checked for cats but they were not out there yet. I will check again soon. I want to leave for church at 8:30AM or so. That will get me there by 9:15 AM and there is plenty of time for the worship service at 11:00AM. Leslie won't be there and neither will Karan. Her kids came again this weekend so the congregation will be small again. They usually take her back to Kansas City with them so they can.. the three of them...or sometimes the grandson will go too to visit. Ronnie and Sheri usually come at least once a month and do that. Sometimes Cameron comes too. He's the grandchild.

Saturday and Baking a Coffeecake for the Church Breakfast Tomorrow

 I was up at 4:30AM this morning, dressed,. made my bed and got myself ready for the day. I am baking the coffeecake for the church breakfast tomorrow. It's almost time for it to come out of the oven. I had better go test it now.

Another ten minutes I think. Not quite done yet. Maybe 7:15AM. I will watch it closely though. I set the wire rack out for it to cool on but it's still not quite done baking.

It's 7:12AM  and just perfect now. I took it out of the oven and set it on the wire rack to cool. I will put a glaze on it after it cools and cover it with Saran.

I called John, my son-in-law, and asked him to meet me at his home if he wanted to go to supper at Uncle Jack's in Independence. He was doing the tractor pull he likes to do. He wasn't sure when he would be home but he told me he would go with me if he got home in good time. And he did. I let him drive since I thought he would be more comfortable driving my car then me driving . We went to Uncle Jack's and had a good supper. Then he took me out in the pasture at his home and showed me his 13 calves. That was neat! Then I drove home. When I got home, I took out my one contact and took my bath.

Then I turned on the TV to watch some programing before I went to bed. And I checked out my Blog.

Friday and my niese, Denise, passed away.Wednesday last week.

I woke up very early this morning at sometime about three o'clock. made my bed, dressed and put my right contact in and made up my face and got myself ready for the day. I am not sure what I will do today besides go eat breakfast at Eggbert's here in Caney later this morning. I may do some cleaning. It has been a week. I know I will have several cats to feed. They are always hungry. I keep Dollar General solvent buying cat food and breakfast bars. It's 4:42 AM now.

I talked to my niece, Diana, last evening about asking Deanna, Denise's younger daughter, about asking , Deanna, if Denise would have wanted a religious service. at our church. I visited her every couple of weeks. Deanna said Denise did not want one and neither did her kids. So even though she has been on the prayer list at church for several months, she has never been religious and never attended church and did not want a religious service. So, of course, we won't have one. I do think there should be an obituary though but I don't think she wanted that either and neither do her kids..Strange...

Denise had her husband, Terry, cremated when he died and she will be cremated too. Maybe Deanna will get an urn for her ashes. Who knows. Denise left her the trailer so she could live there.

Then I came back home and read awhile. I have a library book called 

Mash Mania. It's about the television show called that after the TV show about a medial unit during the Korean war. It is a good show about a important part of our war history Alan Alda is a real person who now has a surgical practice in Maine with some of his fellow surgeons from that era.

They have been running reruns about that show in  the "Me" programs in the 675 part of the dial 

They run three of four of those reruns every evening

Thursday and a Trip to Independence's First Christian Church

 I was up early as usual this morning, dressed, and put my right contact in and got myself dressed and ready for the day. This morning I will take cookies up to Independence to that church. I will buy them at the grocery store across the street from the church.Billie Jo gave me money for hers at church Sunday. Karan gave me hers at the senior center yesterday. I bought some of mine at WalMart at Coffeyville yesterday. They are beginning to serve their lunches again at that church and I will drive up there to deliver them at 9:00AM this morning.  I will leave here at 8:00AM or so.

Afterword  I may go to the Dairy Queen for lunch if's time for them to be open. If not, I will just come on back home.

I ended up just coming back home and had breakfast at Eggbert's in Caney.

Then later I went to Copan Restaurant and had lunch pie.

More Later...I haven't checked on the cats yet. They ate constantly yesterday. Most of the time there were three or four of them. It's only 5:26AM now so I have plenty of time.

There were four cats out there waiting for their breakfasts so I took four bowls out to them. Blondie is still wanting more. I will wait and see how he does.

In the meantime, I saw "the weather on the 8's"and here it is.

I went up to Independence and bought more cookies at G & W Foods and took them across the street to the First Christian Church and one of the men working there came and took the cookies out of the car. 

A strange thing happened while I was getting ready to drive across the  street to the church. I tried to put the key in the car ignition and it would not let it go into the place where the key fits. So I couldn't even start the car. Finally I got out of the car and looked around at what could be wrong. Then I noticed that one of the back doors on the driver's side was slightly cracked. I opened that door and slammed it shut then I got back in the car and the key went right in and the car started. 

I believe that was the only time that has happened.

Now I believe I will go to Copan Restaurant for lunch. I had breakfast at Eggbert's here in Caney.

And that is what I did. I always like the lunch at Copan Restaurant

Later I went over to Coffeyville to the bank and withdrew $40.00 for the week. I had spent my money for my cookies on my cookies for the church.

Wednesday and Still Bunco at the Senior Center.

It's 12:37AM and I am up and around. I woke the computer up and am going to dress and get myself ready for the day. I turned on the computer to this blog and am getting ready to begin to blog after I am dressed and ready for the day.

I will also need to buy some more batteries for my flashlight after the Dollar General store opens at 8:00 AM. I can get the batteries after I get home this afternoon. I only had one battery to put in the light this morning. It takes two to have a good strong light. After that I will need to start for Coffeyville and my hair appointment at 9:00AM.So I will leave at 8:00AM.

I did a load of laundry this morning and it is in the dryer now.

I am almost ready for the day and will check on the cats soon.. Later this morning I will need to feed them. They are always hungry.

It's 5:44AM now and I am having my breakfast bar and Chai Latte. It's my usual early morning breakfast.

I did check on the cats and only Blue was out there but I set out four bowls. I figure the others will see him eating and come check it out.  I did check out "the weather on the 8's"

It's 6:47 now so an hour and a half or so before I leave for my hair appointment in Coffeyville. 

Wednesday and Bunco at the Senior Center

Today I will get my hair done at 9:00AM in Coffeyville. Later at 1:00PM we will play Bunco until 3:00PM or 3:30 PM. I always enjoy that. But first I will need to contact Cox at Cox Complete Care and try to get my computer fixed again..  The passwords are mixed up and I no longer have an organized list of them.They wanted them changed too often and I could not keep track of them.

Leslie and I went to Bartlesville this morning and had pedicures. She paid for both of ours. Then we went for lunch before heading back home. I paid for both our lunches. And they were very good.

We each got a to/go box and took half our lunches home. I will probably have mine tomorrow. 

I tried to reach Cox Complete Care but they are still having issues with the site. They asked me to try again later in the week.

I may not do that at this time. That's the third time they have told me that.

Tuesday and Another Try with Margie's Musings.

I woke up in the middle of the night noticing the computer was still lighted up. Usually after resting it turns it's self off until I wake it up by hitting "enter" a couple of times in the morning. For some reason that didn't happen last night. I will have to contact Cox Complete Care again today to get it working correctly. What a mess it still is. I need to get a new list of passwords. Something that  works,

Leslie called me this morning to ask me to go with her to get a pedicure  in Bartlesville this morning. I am happy to do that. 

I caught two cats waiting for their breakfasts this morning. It was Blue and the small black kitten that looks like a small edition of him.  I fixed them both a bowl of dry and wet cat food. They immediately dug into it!

Monday and Feeding Cats

 I was up this morning very early as usual.I made myself ready for the day. My main problem is I do not know my sign in codes.....my passwords.  I opened  the front  door to  three  cats waiting to eat. so I fixed them bowls of both  wet and  dry cat food.

SATURDAY AND COFFEECAKE FOR CHURCH TOMORROW

I finally got into my on blog "Margie's Musings", thank goodness. I fed three cats today and also got the "weather on the 8's again" I have been trying since last Wednesday a week ago. What a mess this has been. I hope I can remember the password when I want to get in it again.

I have the coffeecake  done and a glaze on it . I have also covered it with Saran.

Now here is the "weather on the 8's for the week.

Today was 86 degrees and we had AM showers, tomorrow is to be 92 degrees and partly cloudy,  Monday is to be 85 degrees and partly cloudy, Tuesday is to be 82 degrees and mostly cloudy, Wednesday is to be 85 degrees and partly cloudy, Thursday is to be 88 degrees and mostly sunny,  and Friday is to be 83 degrees and partly cloudy. That's the week! mostly sunny and partly cloudy. No rain this week after this morning. We had a little then.

Wednesday and Game day at the Senior Center

It's 5:52AM  and I have had my breakfast bar and Chai Latte  I have been up since shortly after 4:00AM.  I made my bed ,dressed and  got  myself ready  for the day I have opened the door to four cats who are very hungry.There is Blondie, Blackie, Whitety and Blue. They are eating  out of four bowls.

I a also caught  "the weather on the 8's" and here it is. 

Today is to be 96 degrees and  PM thunderstorms. 

Tomorrow is to be 96 degrees and mostly sunny,

Friday is to be 85 degrees and  PM Thunderstorms,  

Saturday is to be 87degrees and partly cloudy and Sunday is to be  99 degrees and  mostly sunny. Monday is to be 88 degrees and mostly cloudy.  I will be  going  over to Coffeyville this morning to get my hair done and also to the  senior cernter for game day. 

Then I will come back home to pick up two prescriptions  here in Caney at the pharmacy.

Friday is to be 87 degrees and thunderstorms, Saturday is to be 87 degrees and scattered thunderstorms, Sunday is to be 81 degrees and scattered thunderstorms and Monday is to be 79 degrees and partly cloudy. That's the week! It looks like we will get some rain this week. We really need it!

Monday and Four Cats

I had a hard time getting my right eye contact in this morning. I finally had to get a different one but I finally got it in.  I may have to get an appointment with the optometrist in Coffeyville. It has been awhile.

I found four cats looking for their breakfast this morning  I fixed four bowls and took them out to them. It was Blondie, Blue, Whitie and Blackie.

The cats ate well this morning..as usual.

I have watched some TV but I have been cleaning the apartment this morning too. The rugs are in the dryer on fresh air.  They just went off and I will shake them out and get ready to run the vacuum sweeper. I will need to get the chairs out of the dining room too. I have mopped the bare floors and I hear the dryer on fresh air now has finished too. 

I'd better get those throw rungs out of the fresh air dryer and run that sweeper now. 

I will get back to this in awhile.

So More Later 

I got the vacuuming done and it is plugged in to re-charge again. The floors are clean and the carpets are too.  I have done some dusting as well. I want to find the Wahoo marbles. Sometime I might want to play Wahoo again. I taught all my grandchildren to play when they were young. We used to have a great time playing that game. All of them tried to beat me but most of the time I won.

Sunday and Coffeecake all made...Yesterday

 I was up about 4:00AM, made my bed and got myself ready for the day. When I opened the front door I saw three cats waiting for their breakfast. There was Blondie, Blue, and Whitey there waiting for their breakfasts. 

I took four bowls out to them. I missed "the weather on he 8's" the first time around but caught it after the next round.

Here it is: Today is to be 98 degrees and sunny, tomorrow is to be 98 degrees too. and again...sunny. Tuesday is to be 96 degrees and  mostly sunny, Wednesday is to be 95 degrees and partly cloudy, Thursday is to be 94 degrees and mostly sunny, Friday is to be 86 degrees and  AM showers, Saturday is to be 88 degrees and partly cloudy. That's the week...lots of hot weather and one day of showers..on Friday. It's 6:57AM now. I will leave for church at 8:00AM.

I was up early again this morning and found four cats waiting for their breakfasts. I am out of dry cat food but at 8:00AM I will go to Dollar General and buy some more. They seem to like the variety.

I went to Copan Restaurant for lunch. Then  I went to Dollar General and bought both dry and wet cat food. Then I came home and fixed all the cats some lunch too. In fact they have been back several times for more lunch.

I have read some and watched some TV too. I even made my coffee cake for tomorrow for lunch at church... an early lunch or a late breakfast. 

Stephen also thinks has grandson might want to mow tomorrow afternoon. Benton does such a good job!

Friday and More Cats

I was up early as usual. it's 6:22AM now and I have been up an hour, made my bed, dressed and got myself ready for the day. Later this morning I will go to Eggbert's and have breakfast.

When I opened the front door, I found four cats waiting for their breakfasts. Unfortunately I am out of wet cat food. I did the best I could to feed four cats with dry cat food and what little wet cat food I had.

There was Blondie, Whitey, Blackie  and Blue. They ate what they could and when they were out of food, they left. When Dollar General opens at 8:00AM, I will go buy some more wet cat food.

Thursday and another Hot Day

 I was up early this morning but had slept well. I made my bed, dressed and got myself ready for the day. When I opened the front door I found several cats waiting for their breakfast. There was Blue, Blondie, Blackie and Whitey. I took their food out to them through the garage. I always have to be careful not to step on one of them. They are so ready for their breakfast they are under foot.

I also caught "the weather on the 8's". Today is to be 87 degrees and partly cloudy,  Tomorrow is to be 93 degrees and mostly sunny, Friday is to be 93 degrees and mostly sunny,  Saturday is to be 97 degrees and mostly sunny and Sunday is to be 97 degrees and mostly sunny, Monday is to be 97 degrees and mostly sunny, and Tuesday is to be 95 degrees and partly cloudy . I have gone back to reading my library book. I am waiting for  Mainstreet Auto and Tire to contact me. Sherry told me she would have her brother check out the strange noise the tires make when I drive slowly and only becomes quieter when I drive faster. I wonder if I am hearing the noise of wheel bearings. I won't know until I hear from Sherry.

I slept well last night and was up at 4:45AM, made my bed, made myself up and dressed and got myself ready for the day. I have a hair appointment at 9:00AM this morning in Coffeyville. It's 7:07 AM now so I have some time..

I watched the weather and opened the front door to four hungry cats There was Blackie, Blondie, Whitie and Grey. They ate until the were either full or the bowls were empty.

Tuesday and Better Sleep

I slept pretty well last night and was up early...about 6:00AM. I made my bed, dressed and got myself ready for the day. When I opened the front door I had three cats waiting for their breakfast. I had mine.. a breakfast bar and my Chai Latte. I fixed three bowls for the three cats. There was Blondie, Blackey and Whitey. They ate hungrily and I went to the den after I had mine and I saw "the weather on the 8's". Here it is for the week.

Today is to be 85 degrees and partly cloudy, tomorrow is to be 87 degrees and  sunny, Thursday is to be 87 degrees and partly cloudy, and Friday is to be 94 degrees and mostly sunny, and Saturday is to be 96 degrees and sunny, Sunday is to be 95 degrees and sunny and Monday is to be 96 degrees and sunny....lots of sun and no rain next week. Only Mostly sunny and Partly cloudy
