Saturday and Cleaning the Apartment

I was up shortly after 5:00AM this morning and checked my bank account.  I dressed and made my bed and got myself ready for the day.

Keith and Esther will be here the last of the month. I will be so happy to see them. I have missed them so much! Esther does text me every day about 9:00AM and I text her back and she is satisfied I am "still around". If she doesn't hear from me, she will call Leslie to get her to check on me.

More Later.. 

I got some lovely tulips from Scott and Ginger yesterday. Luckily I had several lovely vases from past flower gifts. I trimmed the stems and put that chemical in the water to help preserve them.

I caught Blue and fed  him/her breakfast. ...both dry and wet cat food. I  also caught today's "weather on the 8's". Here it is!

Later, Whitey came for breakfast too. So I fed him/her too...both wet and dry cat food.

Today is to be 82 degrees and mostly sunny, tomorrow is to be 75 degrees and cloudy, Monday is to be  73 degrees and thunderstorms. Tuesday is to be 78 degrees and partly cloudy, Wednesday is to be 80 degrees and partly cloudy, Thursday is to be 74 degrees and scattered thunderstorms, Friday is to be 80 degrees and partly cloudy.

So two days of thunderstorms..Monday and Thursday. So I will probably have to mow on  Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday or Friday next week.

I went to the library after 8:00AM and checked out two more books to read.

I went over to Coffeyville and to the bank to get some cash for the week. Then when I got back home I went up to Gabby's for lunch. She had taco salad and, as usual, it was very good. I had a coke with it. While I was there, Karan came in and she had her son, Ronnie, with her. She had a milk shake and he had the Taco Salad. Sally came in too and sat at the table we were all sitting at. She did not work the day of the Bartlesville tornado. There was too much debris along highway 75 at the Tuxedo street area..

I saw on the evening news that they finally found the body of the man they could not find after the tornado was over. It was some ways away from the actual tornado area. I believe he was from Barnsdal.

I plan to go to bed at 9:00PM. I took my bath at 7:00PM.

Friday and More Reading

 I was up at 5:00AM this morning and made my bed, dressed and got myself ready for the day. Then I opened the front door and saw Grey  waiting for his/her breakfast. So I fixed him/her a dish and he/she ate.  When he/she finished and left, I brought the dish in the apartment.

Soon I saw "the weather on the 8's" and here it is.

Today is to be 78 degrees and mostly sunny, tomorrow is to be 81 degrees and mostly sunny. Sunday is to be 76 degrees and mostly cloudy,  Monday is to be 71 degrees and thunderstorms, Tuesday is to be 77 degrees and showers, Wednesday is to be 81 degrees and scattered thunderstorms, Thursday is to be 73 degrees and scattered thunderstorms..that's the week. Four days of rain. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. I'll have to mow no later then Sunday..otherwise It will be raining.

I haven't seen another cat yet...no Blondie or Whitey....just Grey. I have been reading again.

I also went to Eggbert's for my lunch at noon and saw Caroline Nelson and her husband, Tom, there and visited with them.. 

And later I mowed the back yard again. It's small and easy.

The cat, Whitey, came twice this afternoon for wet cat food. I fed her/him both times.

I took my bath at 7:00PM and went to bed shortly before 9:00PM. I was very tired.

Thursday and a Dry Day

I was up at 5:00AM again this morning and made my bed and dressed and got myself ready for the day. I was watching the weather channel and suddenly I lost the TV picture. I called Cox Complete Care and got a woman to help me. She suggested I turn the TV off and then back on. I tried that but I still did not have a picture. Then she suggested I try another channel. I did that and got a picture. Then I turned back to the weather channel and now I had that too.  I am so glad to have Cox Complete Care. It sure takes care of me.

I opened the front door to find Blondie and Grey both out there waiting for their breakfasts. So I fixed them each a bowl of both wet and dry cat food. They are eating now.

That's the week! Two days of rain...Monday and Tuesday. Those are the days I can't mow.

I went back to check on Blondie and Grey and found they were both finished eating and gone. I was going to take their food in the kitchen but then I saw Whitey was coming across the street to eat from those two bowls, So I left them out there for her/him.

I went to Copan for my lunch and had my cup of soup and piece of German Chocolate pie.. Then I came home and read this afternoon. 

About 3:00PM, I mowed the back yard. Now all three of my yards have been mowed this week.

I emptied the grass bag and put away the mower. Now I will get back to my book. Soon I will take my bath at 7:00PM. I am kind of hot now.

Oh, by the way, I got my Outlook fixed...thanks to Cox Complete Care.

Oh by the way, my son, Keith, called this afternoon from Germany and he and his wife, Esther,  both talked to me using Y= Fi. That was delightful!

Wednesday and a Hair Day

 I was up about 4:30AM, made my bed, dressed, and got myself ready for the day. When I opened the front door two cats were out there waiting for their breakfasts. It was Blondie and  Grey. They both ate their food and left. I went into the garage and got some more dry cat food.

I also was just in time to catch "the weather on the 8's".Here it is.

Today is to be 81 degrees AM clouds and PM sun. Thursday is to be 76 degrees and mostly sunny, Friday is to be 75 degrees mostly and sunny Saturday is to be 78 degrees and mostly sunny, Sunday is to be 75 degrees and mostly cloudy, Monday is to be 74 degrees and scattered thunderstorms and  Tuesday is to be 78 degrees and scattered thunderstorms. That's the week! Monday and Tuesday are to be scattered thunderstorms. The rest of the week..no rain. Maybe I can mow this week on a couple of the days that are to be dry.

I have had my Chai Latte and breakfast bar.

I left for Coffeyville for my hair appointment at 8:00AM. First I went to Wal Mart there for my Chai Latte. I went to Independence to the Dairy Queen fir lunch and met Steve and Suzanne Boggs  there in Independence.. We visited awhile and the Lissa Johnson called to see if I would be home for a visit from her and her dad the last Saturday in May. I told her we could probably work that out.

I had read all morning so the $7.00 meal deal sounded pretty good .

I took my bath at 7:30pm  and plan to go to bed at 9:00pm.

Tuesday and Tornados

 I went to my clothes closet last night after the tornado warnings got closer. I took a quilt to cover me and fell asleep in that closet on my pillow. Then I woke up when Leslie texted me and then I took my bath and went on to bed.

I saw on the TV that Barnsdall was hit with a tornado and one person died. This morning, Scott called me and said he saw on CNN that Bartlesville was also hit. Five people were hurt there. A large Motel was badly damaged there but Barnsdall was really badly damaged.

I saw photos on Channel 6 this morning. We lived in Bartlesville for many years until our family moved to Caney in the 70s or late 60's. Scott was in first grade there in Bartlesville . Keith was in 5th grade and Leslie was in 4th grade..I think. I worked at the Wayside Elementary School as a pots and pans woman. Later I was moved to Madison Junior High the same way and they added the dishwasher to my job. It was there that I was elected president of the Bartlesville School foods Service and later sent to Detroit to the National Convention of school foods services for a week.

There will be more tornado warnings on Wednesday.  I hope no more local tornadoes or hail storms.

I read most of the day and finished the first book I had checked out yesterday.

I took my bath this evening at  8:00PM. I plan to go to bed at 9:00PM.

I get my hair done tomorrow in Coffeyville at 9:00AM.

Monday and Thunderstorms

I was restless last night. I kept waking up after 3:00AM and then would go back to sleep fitfully.

Finally about 3:30AM, I just got up, dressed and made my bed and got myself ready for the day. About 5:00AM, I opened the front door to find three cats waiting for their breakfast. It was Blondie, Grey and Whitey. I split the last wet cat food between them. They ate and left.  Then a completely different cat came. It was mottled..several colors. I went to the garage and fixed some dry cat food and it ate that. I took the bowls back to the kitchen. After 8:00AM, when Dollar General opens, I will go buy some more wet cat food. Between them this weekend, they went through about six wet cat foods. At .75 each they didn't break my bank.

Maybe I can get my west side yard mowed on one of those party cloudy days..

I got the wet cat food at Dollar General and then went over to the church and got my umbrella. Then I came back home. I watched TV awhile...the weather channel..We are supposed to have tornado storm warnings tonight. 

Then after awhile I trimmed my hedge. It really needed it. It had been awhile since I had trimmed it. Then I had to rake up the leaves I had cut off and put them in a plastic yard bag.Whitey came around again,,still hungry. I gave her/him some of the new wet cat food and she/he is still eating on it.The library is open now and I need some more books. I took the two I had read over the weekend back early this morning and put them in the book drop.

It's supposed to storm tonight ...I always dread that.

Sunday and Coffeecake for Church

I was up early again this morning, dressed made my bed and got myself ready for the day.

When I opened the front door  both grey an Whitey were out there waiting for their breakfast so I took both bowls out there and Grey began to eat. Whitey was intimidated and left without eating. Maybe she/he will come back later though when Grey leaves.

I did catch "the weather on the 8's" though. It is raining and I have my coffeecake in the oven baking. It has to bake for 45 minutes. I have the timer on and it will go off when the coffeecake is done.

Today it is raining and 65 degrees, tomorrow it is to be 78 degrees and thunderstorms, Tuesday is is to be 82 degrees and sunny, Wednesday is is to be 80 degrees and AM thunderstorms, Thursday is to be 75 degrees and partly cloudy, Friday is to be 72 degrees and partly cloudy,  and Saturday is to be 74 degrees and partly cloudy. That's the week! Three days of rain! Maybe I can get the east side of my yard mowed either Tuesday or Thursday. Tuesday is to be sunny and Thursday is to be partly cloudy.

It's 6:58AM and thundering and pouring down rain. I only hope it doesn't hail. The cats have gone to find shelter somewhere. I brought their food dishes in the kitchen and wiped out some of the rain .

More Even Later.. It didn't hail and only rained lightly on my way over there.

I left for church at  8:00AM and it rained some on my way...I got there in plenty of time for the class at 9:30. John and Leslie had taken a trip to Colorado and had photos of the train they rode in and the scenery along the way.  

After the church service  Phyllis and I went to Eggbert's for the fruit parfait and a good visit.

I stopped at the bank and got some money from my account. I had put what money I had in the offering.
