Saturday and Laundry

I slept very well again last night and wasn't up even once. I was up at 5:00AM and dressed, changed my bed and am doing laundry. I have dressed and got myself ready for the day.

I haven't seen anything of Blondie yet but I did catch the weather report on "the weather on the 8's".

Today is to be 91 degrees and mostly sunny, Sunday is to be 84 degrees and AM showers, Monday is to be 92 degrees and sunny, Tuesday is to be 94 degrees and partly cloudy, Wednesday is to be 92 degrees and partly cloudy, and  Thursday is to be 92 degrees and partly cloudy, and Friday is to be 93 degrees and partly cloudy. That's the week! It looks like one day of rain and that's tomorrow.

I have the laundry in the dryer now. That's the hard part...folding those sheets when they're dry and getting them put away.

While the laundry was drying, I took my walk. It was 7:30AM and I got home at 8:02AM. I didn't pick up much trash. I am hoping it will eventually have clean streets but I imagine that's too much to ask.

I got most of the laundry dried and folded and put away. My pajamas are the only thing left in the dryer and the alarm just went off so maybe those are dry too.

I got the rest of the laundry dried, folded and put away. It's 9:00AM and I will get back to my book now.

Blondie finally came for a late breakfast. I fed him and after he ate his fill he left. I took the cat food back in the garage and covered it.

It's 5:10PM and I have been reading all afternoon and finally finished the first of the two books I checked out at the library.

Soon I will watch the CBS evening news and then about 7:00PM, I will take my bath and put my pajamas and robe on and read on the second book until my bedtime..

About an hour ago, I saw a police car and an ambulance across the street. I saw the ambulance driver take a gurney into the house. 

Its 7:00PM and I just took my bath and put my pajamas on and my robe. Now I will read until close to 9:00PM..my regular bedtime.

Friday and Trimming

I got to bed very late last night after Sally and I got back to Caney after the concert. I just took my makeup off and went right to bed...without my bath. The concert was good but not as full as usual. There were a lot of children there We stopped at the Dewey Sonic and bought cherry limeades to drink on the way home.

This morning I got up at 6:00AM..that tells you how hard I slept.  It is 7:09AM now and I have just finished my breakfast  While mine was cooking, I checked for Blondie. He was patiently waiting for me for his breakfast. So I took it to him...but just at the moment I was going to get it, "The weather on the 8's" came on so I grabbed my phone and caught the week's forecast with my camera before I went to get his food.

Today is to be 85 degrees and partly cloudy, Saturday is to be 90 degrees and mostly sunny, Sunday is to be 84 degrees and AM thundershowers, Monday is to be 93 degrees and and sunny, Tuesday is to be  93 degrees and mostly sunny, Wednesday is to be 92 degrees and mostly sunny, and Thursday is to be 92 degrees and partly cloudy. Still just one day of rain in the forecast and that's tomorrow...when I will be driving to church. That's the week.

Blondie finished his breakfast and left and I took the cat food in the kitchen. I will wait to see if he comes back for more. 

A little later this morning, I will finish trimming.

I took my walk this morning about 7:45AM and picked up some trash...not as much as usual. 

I went out to Dollar General and bought a few things I can't get at the Caney Market. Then I dropped by the market and bought my coffeecake mix there. I will be fixing it Sunday morning for our breakfast at church.

I ate lunch at Eggbert's again this noon.Then I went back to the library and checked out two more books and began reading one of them. About 3:30PM, I decided to trim the yard. 

I had to put a new cord in it and I still don't have the rod all the way down in the shaft. I don't seem to be able to get it in all the way. It works after a fashion but not really well. I may have to end up having to buy a new one at Orscheln's, or Ace Hardware in Independence, Coffeyville or Bartlesville. At least I found the cord that does the trimming and got a new one in the right place. It doesn't look really neat but it will have to do. At least it's better.

It's 5:02PM and I want to go watch the evening CBS news. I will get back to this later...

I watched the CBS Evening News and about 6:49PM, I took my bath and put on my pajamas and robe. I will read some more after I finish up the blog. I plan to go to bed about 9:00PM. I went to bed much later last night and slept like a baby.  That won't always work though. If I go to bed too early, I don't sleep as well.

It's 10:14PM now and I have been on the phone for an hour with Cox Complete Care to get the Outlook on both computers repaired.

Now I will go to bed.

Thursday and a Concert This Evening

I have been trying to get on my website here on the computer. and as usual there are problems. I had to change my password to Cox, my internet provider. I think I have it fixed now.

I was up at 5:00AM this morning as usual. I have not dressed or even made my bed so I will go do that  now and get back to this later...

I dressed and  made my bed and got myself ready for the day. I checked outside while i was waiting for the"weather on the 8's" and Blondie was there waiting for his breakfast. I fed him and just as soon as I did, the weather forecast come on.. So here is the next week.

Today is to be 89 degrees and sunny, tomorrow is to be 89 degrees and partly cloudy, Saturday is to be 90 degrees and PM thunderstorms,  Sunday is to be 86 degrees and partly cloudy, Monday is to be 92 degrees and sunny, Tuesday is to be 94 degrees and mostly sunny and Wednesday is to be 94 degrees and partly cloudy. It looks like rain on only Saturday.

I took off for my walk at 7:15AM and returned the book I finished last night to the book drop at the library. I got back home at 7:45AM. with a part sack of trash. I still have one more book to read. I will start that one soon. 

Blondie came back for some more breakfast and I took his food out to him again and when he finished and left, I took the food back into the garage and covered it again.

Now I will start that second book.  More Later..

I stopped reading and warmed me up some Amy's soup and had it with crackers. 

It's 11:55AM now and I have been reading for a couple of hours and am tired now. I need to go trim the yard if I can keep the trimmer together. It came apart a couple of weeks ago and I have not been able to get it back together to stay.  But I really need to trim.

I got most of the front yard trimmed before the battery ran down again. I have it on the charger now. It will take a couple of hours to charge. Later this afternoon I will finish the trimming. I have to pick up Sally at 6:00PM so it will have to be pretty early this afternoon maybe 4:00PM..

Wednesday and a Storm Warning

 It rained and stormed all night but I slept well most of the night. I was up once and took my two meds and got back to sleep just fine. I was up at my usual 5:00AM, dressed and made my bed and got myself ready for the day, I looked out and Blondie was in front of my front door wanting his breakfast. I started to take it out to him but it was pouring down rain. I couldn't get him to move away from my front door so I could put his food out there so I got my umbrella and went out through the garage and took it to him. When I got back in the house, the weather forecast was on. We are under a severe thunderstorm warning now until 6:45AM. It's 6:27AM right now and it appears to be slacking off.

Of course all this means my yard will not get mowed today.

Today is to be 84 degrees and Thunderstorms, Thursday is to be 89 degrees and  sunny, Friday is to be 86 degrees and partly cloudy, Saturday is to be 89 degrees and PM thunderstorms, Sunday is to be 88 degrees and AM thunderstorms, Monday is to be 93 degrees and sunny, and Tuesday is to be 92 degrees and sunny. It's to be a scorcher week and thunderstorms today, Saturday and Sunday.

I have had my breakfast now and will go back in the living room to check out the storm warning again.

The weather cleared up before I got to Coffeyville for my hair appointment. I was back home by 11:00AM and read until 12:38PM when I went out to Sonic and bought a child's wacky pack for my lunch. That costs me $2.08 at our Sonic and it includes two chicken strips, tater tots and a tiny Coke. It's always good and not terribly filing.

Toni told me she would be off work the first week in July so I will not have a hair appointment on July 5th. I will have to wash it myself that week.

Now back to my book...

I saw a family there at Sonic with a beautiful Siberian Husky dog. I had to tell them how beautiful I thought she was, Then I came back home to read some more. It rained all morning so my yard was not mowed this week.  I hope he gets to it one day this week.  If not, I will have to mow it myself as soon as it's dry.

The grass must have gotten dry enough to mow because the man who is mowing for me is out there mowing now.  I took a bottle of water out to him. I am glad I will get it mowed. It would have taken me a day and a half to do it myself.

Bob Cramer's son or daughter ( I couldn't tell by the voice which it was) called me just now. He was one of my classmates and died several years ago and his wife notified me then. 

It's a little after 7:00PM and I just had my bath. I have been reading again for an hour or so. I will go put lotion on my feet and read my latest library book until almost 9:00PM when I will go to bed.

Tuesday and Reading Again

I slept pretty well last night and only woke up once in the night and took my two meds then and went right back to sleep. Then I woke up at 5:00AM and got up and dressed and made my bed and got myself ready for the day. If it doesn't rain this morning, I will take my walk.

Soon I will check the weather forecast and see if anything has changed and then check to see if Blondie is out there for his breakfast and fix my own.

It's 6:14AM now. So more later...

I have had my breakfast and Blondie has had his too. I even caught "the weather on the 8's"..although it took me two times to catch it. I was charging my phone the first time it came on. 

Today is to be 83 degrees and mostly sunny, Wednesday is to be 84 degrees and partly cloudy, Thursday is to be 89 degrees and  AM Thunderstorms, Friday is to be 89 degrees and AM thunderstorms, Saturday is to be 89  degrees and PM thunderstorms, Sunday is to be 87 degrees and AM thunderstorms and Monday is to be 92 degrees and Sunny..Looks like at least three days of rain. I just hope it doesn't rain on Wednesday. That's the day my mower mows for me.

I took my walk at 7:30AM and got back home at 8:09AM with a full sack of trash that I picked up along the way in the streets. Pitiful!

I dropped off the book I finished last night at the Caney Library book drop this morning.

It's 10:01AM and I have been reading for awhile. I am taking a break now.

I went to Independence and ate out at Big Cheese, Then I came back home and read all afternoon and left for Cheyenne's softball game a little after 5:00PM.  

I found a good place to park my car and took my folding chair and water to the shade on the north of the softball field. Later Jeromy and the girls  came and tried to invite me to come sit in the benches in the girls' shelter. The people in the  bleachers next to me were making so much noise visiting I could not understand what he was trying to ask me until later when it occurred to me that I could have come sit in that shelter with them. But I was in good shade and by then I just decided to sit where I was. They won their game 19 to 17. primarily with walks coming in when someone either hit the ball and ran or moved forward from base to base as their teammates either hit the ball or were walked and the one on third made a dash for home base.

Whatever... they  won in the end.

I got home and took my bath at 7:00PM and read for awhile and also watched a program on American Experience. It's 9:01PM now and I may just go on to bed. It's my bedtime. 

Monday and Hearing Aide help

I slept pretty well last night and was up shortly before 5:00AM.  I have dressed, had my breakfast and even fed Blondie this morning. I am having my Chai Latte now. 

I have a 9:30AM appointment at Midwest Hearing Aids in Independence to have my hearing aids checked over. They are not working well....especially the right one. They probably need some adjustments and maybe some new parts. I have the new parts but have no idea how to put them in. Midwest is a Starkey dealer and she should be able to diagnose the problem and perhaps fix it. I have no idea what she will charge me...if anything. I am pretty sure she will charge me something.

I did get "the weather on the 8's" this morning.

Today is to be 76 degrees and mostly cloudy, tomorrow is to be 82 degrees and partly cloudy, Wednesday is to be 84 degrees and partly cloudy, Thursday is to be 90 degrees mostly sunny, Friday is to be 90 degrees and AM Thunderstorms, Saturday is to be 88 degrees and partly cloudy, and Sunday is to be 92 degrees and partly cloudy. That's the week! It looks like Friday will be the only rainy day.

I took the cat food back in the garage after Blondie finished eating.

The woman at Midwest didn't charge me anything to  work on my hearing aides. She was very nice and showed me how to repair them.

I just went to the Caney library to get some more books to read. I noticed someone is at last cleaning up that huge pile of bricks adjacent to the alley where the Blackledge china room used to be. I saw in the Chronicle that someone had been awarded the contract for the clean up. Thank goodness!! I think it has been almost three years since that building was burned and all those bricks fell into that alley. It has been an eyesore ever since that happened. 

I will be driving Thursday evening to the last concert of this series at Bartlesville's concert auditorium  Sally drove last time. I will pick her up at 6:00PM.

It's 2:50PM now. 

I went to Bartlesville to see Nancy and she was not feeling well at all. I told the nurse about her and also the woman at the front desk. The nurse was going to take her temperature.  And I also called Dale...her cousin and told him. Then I left. I wasn't sure if she was contagious and didn't want to take a chance.  It may be another UTI. She has quite a few of those. She doesn't drink enough water...

I have been reading and watching the CBS news since 2:50PM and it's 6:22PM now.  In just a little while I will take my bath and put my pajamas and robe on and read some more.

Sunday and Church

I slept pretty well mast night and was up shortly before  5:00, dressed and made my bed and will soon start my coffeecake.  I turned on the TV and immediately caught "the weather on the 8's". So I will begin with the forecast for the week.

Today is to be 81 degrees and PM thunderstorms, Monday is to be 78 degrees and cloudy, Tuesday is to be 80 degrees and partly cloudy, Wednesday is to be 86 degrees and mostly sunny, Thursday is to be 90 degrees and mostly sunny, Friday is to be  91 degrees partly cloudy, and Saturday is to be 92 degrees and and partly cloudy. That's the week..only one day of rain and that's today.

I opened the door to see if Blondie was there but it must have been too early for him. It's only 5:58AM.

Blondie did finally come eat his breakfast about 6:30AM and when he finished, I put away the cat's food. I took the one Caney library book I had finished by the book drop there and sent it back that way. I read until 9:00AM and then left for church. I decided to take my two Coffeyville library books back to the library there first and also go to the bank and get some money just in case the woman at the Independence Midwest Hearing Aid Center decides to charge me for checking over my hearing aids tomorrow at 9:00AM.  And I know I will need money for my hair on Wednesday.

I spent the afternoon reading on the last book I got at the Caney Library. I also watched the pro golf..just for the fun of it. Then I took my bath at 6:50PM and put my pajamas and robe on afterward. I forgot about the evening Mission Center worship service on Zoom until I got out of my bath. By then it was way too late. According to my phone it's 7:28PM now. Strange...my watch says 7:18PM.  

I have a 9:30AM appointment tomorrow morning with the Midwest Hearing Aid company in Independence.  I will ask her to check over my hearing aids. The left one is much clearer then the right one. I don't know what she will charge me.

I guess I will read until time to go to bed at 9:00PM.
