This is going to be a nice but hot day. If Phyllis still seems stable and content, Bob and I will go over to Joplin and eat lunch at Olive Garden. I will eat breakfast here at home. Then we will walk the mall. I am going to try to find a water filter for my frig. I understand they have changed those that are in line and sometimes they don't fit anymore. I am taking the model number and the serial number with me and hope to speak to someone knowledgeable about it. My frig is only eight years old and I am unhappy that they seem to be discontinuing the water filter for it.
I am stopping drinking orange juice and beginning to drink cranberry juice. I am not impressed with orange juice after I saw that segment on 60 minutes some weeks ago. So this morning, I am having my cranberry juice, my vitamin and my regular oatmeal.

Bob and I went to Joplin and ate at Olive garden and then walked around the mall. He bought some jelly bellys but other then that, we didn't even buy anything except our lunch. We had a good time. It was good to get out of town again too.
I worked on my morning devotions for camp in July. Also firmed up my Tuesday night presiding.
This evening I watched the DVD "A Mormon President...Joseph Smith and the Quest for the White House". The more I learn about the Mormon belief system, the less I want Romney for president.

Friday Off Work
I always look forward to Friday and the weekend. If they had enough for me to do at the office, I would enjoy my work. But once again, I'm having to "make work".
I will go to Independence this morning and get my hair done and afterward go to Juanita's to look after her concern. After that, I will come back home and go see Phyllis. I haven't seen her since Tuesday. After that I will come home and run the sweeper over the carpets and dust. I cleaned the bare floors a couple of days ago. I have the Living the Questions group here on Sunday evening.
I plan to take a week off in July for church camp. I hope I can afford that. I can use the money Ron and Joyce sent to me. I put that in my savings. I will lose my salary for that week. We get no paid vacation and camp costs $175.00 for the week.

I spent the first part of the afternoon vacuuming the house. Then I sat down to read my kindle and fell asleep for two hours. I read some more and finally at 11:00 I went to bed.

Another Thursday
I had a great night's sleep last night and didn't wake until 3:30 when I awoke long enough to take my meds. I went right back to sleep until 5:00 AM when the thunder woke me up. I knew Missy would be wanting in so I got up and let her in. She hates thunder.
It is raining now and we really needed the rain.
I will work today. I called Bob A yesterday and asked him to go to lunch with me. We went to El Pueblos and had our favorite lunch. He has decided if Phyllis remains stable this week and is still getting good care, he will go see her early Saturday and then we will go to Joplin and eat at Olive Garden and walk the mall. I will see Phyllis on Friday while I'm off work.
Juanita called night before last and I had a long talk with her. I told her about Phyllis and all that has transpired the past three weeks. She wants me to come by on Friday morning after my hair appointment and look at a place on her body that she is concerned might be skin cancer. I told her I would do that. More later...
I worked about an hour and a quarter cleaning out that bulb bed before the mosquitoes started eating on me and I had to stop for the evening. I'll get back to it later next week....probably Monday evening.

A Full Day
I will work a full day today. I hope there's plenty of work.
I went to bed fairly early last night and awoke at 3:30 and from then on it was on and off. Finally at 4:15 I got up and got myself ready for work. It will be a long day but I can use the time to clean my floors and get ready for Sunday..when I have the Living the Questions group here in the evening. I also water my plants in the mornings.
The Schwan's man never came last evening. I had a list of dinners to buy from him. He must have given up on me. He won't be coming again until the 3rd. I may buy some meals at Wal Mart until then.
More later...I must let Missy in.

Tuesday Again
I will take the morning to get my hair done. Then I will go in at one again. Yesterday they managed to keep me busy all afternoon. I am considering working just twenty hours a week and just half days. I'm giving it some serious thought.
Yesterday I saw Phyllis at 9:30 and she was doing fine. She had had her pureed breakfast and eaten it all. She was speaking again...but in such a low voice that I had trouble making out what she was saying. Nevertheless she was much better and seemingly, in no pain.
After work last night, I mowed and trimmed. The yard looks so much better. I checked the tires on the mower and they were very low so I backed the car out of the garage and brought out the air compressor. I filled the front tires to 30 PSI and the back tires to 13 PSI. The yard looked so much better. The tires were very under inflated. This morning after it gets lighter, I will hook up the leaf blower and clean the patio and driveway. My hair appointment is at 10:00.
I got my hair done and then came on back home to have a sandwich before going on to work.

Another Aggravation
Last night I worked until 10:00 to get the bulletin ready to print for next Sunday. I preside at that service. Finally, I got ready to go to bed and plugged in my new cell phone for charging. The message it read was "battery disconnected". I took it apart to adjust it and there was nothing wrong with it. And that is a new battery I just had put in the phone this last week after the last one failed and would not hold a charge. I have had a cell phone for years and never had this much trouble.
So I will be late going in to work again today because the store doesn't open until 9:00 AM.
I will be taking tomorrow morning off to get my hair colored and cut and see Phyllis briefly. I will go in to work at one.

I called my supervisor about being late coming in and she suggested I just wait and come in at 1:00...so I will.
The cell phone store replaced my phone as defective. That's good. It was definitely defective. I also came home to find I had sold another book on Amazon so I put it in a bag, addressed it and went to the post office to mail it off.

Sunday Again
It's Sunday again. I will go to Church School and Church today and then out to see Phyllis sometime this afternoon. I will be interested to find out if they got to her eat anything else last evening.
Last evening I was exhausted and kept falling asleep in my chair. Finally I went on to bed at 8:30. At 10:00 I was still awake. I couldn't shut my mind down after all the events of the day. Finally, I got up and took one of my sleeping pills. I hadn't taken any of those in months. I had hoped I wouldn't need them ever again. I slept until 4:45 this morning. Then I got up and took my meds.
I heard from my younger son this morning by e-mail. We stay fairly well in touch. His daughter is over there with him until tomorrow and I have not heard anywhere near as much from him since she came. But I know they've been busy.
I haven't heard as much from my older son since he and his wife were here in May. I imagine they're busy too. They had just moved into a new place and were getting settled in when they left to come see me.
My daughter has called more lately....especially since my sister has been so sick. I appreciate that. She has her oldest granddaughter this next couple of weeks. They are going to camp again this year. They leave next Wednesday and will be gone through the last Sunday of the month. I hope to go over for one day either the 22nd or the 23rd. It depends on how Phyllis is doing as to whether I make it or not.

We had a great church service this morning focusing on Father's Day and a great potato bar dinner afterward. After I got home I took a short nap and then did my letters. I was going to go out to see Phyllis but the phone rang and I was asked to preside at one of the worship services at camp next month. So I spent the next three hours working on that challenge and also the morning devotions for camp. I am also doing the Temple School Course with the Living the Questions material. It will be a busy week. Now it's after eight and I haven't had my bath yet.
