Monday and A Cold Day

I slept well last night and was up at 5:30AM, dressed, made my bed and got myself ready for the day. I have not checked on the cats. I imagine they are plenty cold too. I will check on them soon. I was in the process of fixing their breakfasts when "the weather on the 8's" came on and I took a picture of it.

Here it is: Today is to be 40 degrees and AM clouds and PM Sun Tuesday is to be 54 degrees and partly cloudy. Wednesday is to be 56 degrees and cloudy. Thursday is to be 43 degrees and sunny, Friday is to be 44 degrees and mostly sunny Saturday is to be 50 degrees and partly cloudy  Sunday is to be 40 degrees and partly cloudy. That's the week! Now I will check out the cats and get back to this after that.

Sure enough! There were five cats out there waiting for their breakfasts. Blondie. Grey, Blackie and two small black cats. I took out five bowls and they are eating heartily.

Monday and Four Cats

I slept well last night and was up at 6:00AM  I made my bed, dressed  and put myself together and checked out the cats. There were four out there waiting for me to open the front door. There was Blondie, Grey, and two black cats.   I fixed their breakfasts and waited for "the weather on the 8's". I took a photo of it and came in here to the den to put it on my Blog. It's 7:19AM now. Here is the forecast for the week..

Today is to be  52 degrees and sunny, and tomorrow is to be 55 degrees and mostly sunny Saturday is to be 65 degrees and mostly sunny, Sunday is to be 75 degrees and mostly sunny and windy. Monday is to be 50 degrees and partly cloudy, Tuesday is to be 52 degrees and mostly cloudy, Wednesday is to be 56 degrees and mostly cloudy. That's the week! No rain this week!

I will go check on the cats now and see if they have finished their breakfast.

Tuesday and Game Day at the Senior Center

I was up very early this morning...4:00AM or so. I slept well but just wasn't sleepy enough to stay asleep. I finally got up and dressed and got myself ready for the day.

I caught "the weather on the 8's" finally too. After awhile I checked out the cats. There were several out there waiting for their breakfasts  Blackie, Grey, Blondie and one small black cat.

I saw Stephen had stayed overnight in their apartment and picked up his coffee cake. He probably heated it up and ate it.

Tuesday it is to be 64 degrees and sunny, Wednesday 56 degrees and sunny and my hair day, Thursday  is to be 54 degrees and sunny, Friday is to be 53 degrees and mostly cloudy, Saturday is to be 62 degree sand partly cloudy Sunday is to be 72 degrees and Partly Cloudy and Monday is to be 59 degrees and Partly Cloudy.

That's the week!

 

Monday and Rain all Day and all Last Night

I caught "the weather on the 8's" and will post it here. It is raining and has been most of the night.. I have not checked on the cats. It's pouring out there and there is no shelter for the cats..except near the front door. Today is to be 68 degrees and thunderstorms and wind. Tuesday is to be 64 degrees and sunny, Wednesday is to be  57 degrees and sunny, Thursday is to be 56 degrees and sunny, Friday is to be 55 degrees and partly cloudy, Saturday is to be 63 degrees and partly cloudy, and Sunday is to be 66 degrees and  partly cloudy...That's the week! 

I had an e-mail from Stephen overnight. He will be here this evening to pick up the coffeecake I brought home from the church yesterday evening. His family really likes it and I save it for him and his family.

 I found the weather on the 8's and also fed the cats..at least three of them. Blondie, Grey and Blackie. I assume they have had their breakfast now. I will check!

 I have been watching the weather channel and also feeding four cats. I finally caught "the weather on the 8's". Today is Saturday and it's 70 degrees and partly cloudy, Sunday is to be 72 degrees and PM showers, Monday is to be 68 degrees and rain and wind. Tuesday is to be 54 degrees and mostly sunny and windy Wednesday is to be 54 degrees and mostly sunny and windy, Thursday is to be 57 degrees and partly cloudy, Friday is to be 56 degrees mostly sunny, and  that's the week!

Thursday and the watch is fixed thanks to Myrtle's friend

I finally found someone who knew how to set my watch and now it is easy to tell the time without having to pull out my phone to tell time.

I finally caught the four cats and got them fed. They are still eating  out by the front door. I haven't caught "the weather on the 8's" yet. But I will continue to check.

More Later.. Stephen and his family came to pick up the coffeecake. I think they may have stayed overnight. At least their car is still there and it's 7:00AM.

A Cox tech will be back on the 19th between 1:00PM and 3:00PM to try to get my TV working right again. It has been a trial!

They constantly have a warning on the screen saying "There seems to be a connection issue 

Furthermore it goes on to say "Connection issues  To fix this, tune to a different channel. Check that the TV and box channels are firmly connected and not damaged and then tune back to this channel in a few minutes.

Wednesday and Rain

I went outside and took a trip around Caney to try to get to Coffeyville for my hair appointment. There was an awful rain out there. I finally turned around and made myself go back home. There was no way I could go on over to Coffeyville for my appointment. I will call Toni and tell her I cannot make it today. There was nothing but rain. It was also very dark out there. The sun has not come up.

Tuesday and "the Weather Channel

I did catch "the weather channel" and will post it here to find it in proper order. This is Tuesday morning and I am going to check out the weather in Independence since I am going up there this afternoon at 1:00PM to meet the doctor I am to check out ...Dr. Stacy... at 1:00PM.

Tomorrow is Wednesday  and AM showers are in the forecast. Thursday is to be sunny, Friday is to be 68 degrees and sunny, Saturday is to be 67 degrees and partly cloudy, Sunday is to be 69 degrees and cloudy Monday is to be 64 degrees and showers. That's the week!

I went up to the Dentist office to meet with Caroline and pick up the tooth brushes for our Christmas boxes. I will take them to church on Sunday to finish packing the boxes. I believe Johnna has left thm at church

The Business Meeting at Church

 John Brooks mpved  acceptance of the Minutes of the October 15th 2023  business meeting.

There was discussion about trying a different type of worship service,,, perhaps small group..or perhaps a sharing time . There was some discussion even about a completely different type of worship service.

Thee was also discussion about leaving the the pastoral team as it is and Leslie moved we leave the financial end to stay the same. And the financial to stay to stay the same. The Mission Center aide is to stay the same too. The electric bill for the Mission Center will also stay the same.

Phyllis Fredensborg moved adjournment and that motion passed.

 It's after 6:00AM and I have been up an hour, dressed and got myself ready for the day. I even caught :the weather on the 8's".

Here it is: Today is 66 degrees and sunny, Tomorrow is Monday and 70 degrees and partly cloudy, The next day is Tuesday and 70 degrees and  partly cloudy, Wednesday is 64 degrees and showers, Thursday is 64 degrees and mostly sunny and Friday is to be 68 degrees and mostly sunny and Saturday is to be 71 degrees and partly cloudy.  

That's the week! And it's 6:04AM

I haven't checked on the cats yet. I think it's raining again. I will check that out next..I don't think it's raining..at least not yet.

 I was up and around early this morning.  I dressed and caught the "weather on the 8's". and here it is. I have the cats fed too. There were five cats out there. Friday and Lots of Change

I have been going over the information I learned from the TV and the phone calls yesterday and have checked out the weather forecast and have the week's weather. Today is to be 58 degrees and rain.  Saturday is to be 64 degrees and partly cloudy, Sunday is to be 66 degrees and sunny, Monday is to be 69 degrees and partly cloudy, Tuesday is to be 70 degrees and mostly sunny, Wednesday is to be 67 degrees and mostly sunny,  Thursday is to be 65 degrees and sunny. That's the week!

Sure enough! There were three black cats and Blondie out there waiting for their breakfast. I took four bowls out there and they are all eating now.

Thursday and The Weather Again

I slept well last night, dressed early and turned on the TV  to "the weather on the 8's". Here it is for the week.

Today is to be 83 degrees and sunny, tomorrow is to be 62 degrees and rain,  Saturday is to be 63 degrees and partly cloudy, Sunday is to be 65 degrees and partly cloudy, Monday is to be 68 degrees and sunny, Tuesday is to be 73 degrees and partly cloudy, Wednesday is to be 66 degrees and partly cloudy. That's the week!

I haven't checked on the cats yet. I imagine they are very hungry. That's my next thing to check out.

So More Later... 

There were five cats waiting for their breakfasts. Four of them were black and then there was Blondie. I fixed them each a bowl and set it out just out the front door. They are now eating greedily. I bought a whole box of wet cat food yesterday at Walmart in Coffeyville.  That's 12 cans. That should fill them up! Hopefully. It will take a couple of days for them to eat that much. I also filled their water bowls.

WEDNESDAY AND BUNCO

 I have really messed up my blog and my contact too. In trying  to get my contact out of the right eye. it has evidently pushed it into the back part of my eye. I now cannot get it out. I am probably going have to stop over to Dr. Dobbins and get her to find it and get it out for me. What a mess!

I have my hair appointment and Bunco at the senior center too. What a busy day!

Monday and Much Rain

I am amazed at the amount of rain we have had this week. I think it has rained some every day. I wonder if it has flooded over at Coffeyville. Coffeyville is given to flood.

I haven't checked on the cats yet.  But I did get "the weather on the 8's". Here it is. Today is to be 68 degrees and more thunderstorms, Tomorrow is Tuesday and  it is to be 61 degrees and partly cloudy, Wednesday is to be 66 degrees mostly sunny, Thursday is to be 64 degrees and mostly sunny, Friday is to be 64 degrees and showers, Saturday is to be 66 degrees and AM rain, Sunday is to be 65 degrees and sunny.   That's the week! 

The TV is working this morning. The past two days it has been a mess. I have spent hours trying to get it to function. It's not the TV, it's Cox. They cannot seem to get the signal through to me on a regular basis. So far, so good, this morning. I have a tech coming here Thursday  between 1:00PM  and 3:00PM to try to get it working on a regular basis. I hope that works.

It's  6:04AM according to my phone. My watch still says 7:04AM. It doesn't do daylight savings time on it's own like the phone does. It has the day of the week right but not the time. If I want to to have daylight savings time on it, I will have to hunt that woman down at the Independence Walmart and hope she is still with them and will set this watch like she has the past two years. Not everyone knows how to do that. There's a jewelry store in downtown Bartlesville that can do it but they don't open until almost noon. I don't want to spend that much time down there.

Now I will go check out the cats. According to the phone, its 6:51AM now. 

There were three cats out there...very hungry..and it's raining. I set two of the bowls out the front door but that is difficult because they always want to come in the apartment  and I am not having that! The third bowl I took out through the garage and into the rain. Luckily it wasn't raining hard and I got the bowl in the dry place next to the front door without getting anything more then damp. The cats were Grey, Blondie, and Blackie. The little pregnant black cat was not out there yet. 

I have one more bowl. The two small bowls I left out the overnight had been taken by the same dogs that  took the others I lost. I went out to the dollar store over on the highway and bought two more large aqua colored bowls last evening. I really wanted the small ones but Dollar General had none at all and beggars can't be choosers.

More Later...back to the TV..According to the watch, it's 7:58AM now.  According to the phone it is 6:58AM. Very confusing! More Later...

A Severe Thunderstorm Warning

We are under a severe thunderstorm warning until 9:00AM this morning. Oklahoma City has already been struck with one. I will not get out to go to church today. I do not drive during active storms.

Saturday and Lunch With Gabby

Nearly every Saturday I have lunch at Gabby's,'' a local downtown restaurant. Both Joyce, her real name, and her husband. have jobs during the week in Coffeyville but this restaurant is kind of a hobby for them. Joyce does all the cooking and he does all the serving. They enjoy it and their children are grown and they have grandchildren who sometime help at the restaurant as a part time job. His name is not occurring to me right now but it should still. I had a high school boy friend by the same name and it's very simple. It's just that this morning, I am simple too ;) It's just this morning and it isn't coming to me. 

It's now occurring to me!. And he was my date to the Aqua Fiesta swim suit contest where I won 4th prize and had my photo in the newspaper.  Now I remember what it is! It is Roger!

That took a moment. I checked on the weather but not the cats..not yet! 

I'd better get to the weather..maybe that will be easier.

Today is Saturday and is to be 72 degrees and cloudy. I'd better remember my coffee cake which is in the oven. I'd better check on it!
