The Funeral

This is the day of the funeral.

First, this morning at 10:00 Bob and I have a meeting with Marilyn and Ken to help plan the service for Coffeyville's Martin Luther King Day celebration later this month. I will write an article for them to send to the newspaper.

Then, at noon, we will go to the church and lay out the cookies and coffee for the family who will gather at 12:30. The funeral begins at 2:00 so we didn't have time to fix and eat a meal before the services. But this will give them time together to visit and talk.

After the services we will go to the graveside to do a short service there.
