Saturday and a Good Night's Sleep

I will make my coffeecake this morning and have it ready for tomorrow's breakfast at church. It's 1:35AM now. I am wide awake though. I made my bed and dressed and got myself ready for the day.

I had a good visit yesterday with Gay and six of her friends. I had met them before in the past...one time several years ago. Everyone had a good dinner and a good visit. We all got her cards and one person had made her a cute apron. When I got home Gay called me. She had left her cards and the apron in a sack in my car. I found a box in the garage and wrapped the apron and cards in it and went to the post office and sent it to her. The postmistress said she would probably get it on Tuesday.

Three cats were out front and hungry. So I took them out some dry as well as some wet cat food and when they finished I brought their bowls in and washed them. 

I caught "the weather on the 8's" too. Today is to be 98 degrees and partly cloudy, Sunday is to be  90 degrees and AM thunderstorms. Monday is to be 75 degrees and partly cloudy Tuesday is to be 77 degrees and partly cloudy and Wednesday is to be 79 degrees and AM showers. That's most of the week. A couple of days of rain...which we badly need.
