Wednesday and a Hairdo Day

I slept very well last night and was up in the night only once and then took my two meds. I was up at my usual 5:00AM.

Blondie was at my front door looking for his breakfast. After I got my bed made and got myself ready for the day, I took it out to him. It was half wet food and half dry food. He seems to like that mixture. His bowl has two sections and I put the wet food in one half and the dry food in the other side.

I will go over to Coffeyville this morning to get my hair done and I may go to the library over there too. Caney's library doesn't open until noon on Monday, Wednesday and Fridays.

I also caught "the weather on the 8's" right away. It's supposed to rain this afternoon. I hope Mike can mow this morning and can get it done before it rains even more. It had rained last night and the grass is very wet. Unless it gets hot and dries the grass, he won't be able to mow today.

Today is to be 88 degrees and PM thunderstorms, tomorrow is to be 90 degrees and mostly sunny, Friday is to be 93 degrees and partly cloudy, Saturday is to be 96 degrees and AM thunderstorms,  Sunday is to be 94 degrees and AM thunderstorms, Monday is to be87 degrees and mostly sunny and Tuesday is to be 92 degrees and mostly sunny. That's the week..three days of rain. And we certainly need it! The Caney river is very low.

It's 6:41 AM now and it has rained in the night. If I take my walk this morning, I will have to take an umbrella just in case it rains early today while I am walking. I want to drop my second book off at the library drop box here at the library.

I will need to leave for Coffeyville no later then 8:15AM to make my  9:00AM appointment.

I got back from my walk at 7:20AM. I dropped my second book off at the library drop box. It rained last night so there was only four small pieces of trash to pick up. I put those in my dumpster. I didn't need the umbrella. I just carried it. I will take it to Coffeyville though. You never know if you will get caught in the rain..or worse....hail.

I got back from my walk just in time. It is raining again now. I guess mowing is out of the question now.

More Later in the day...

I went to Dollar General and bought a few things I needed and then I left for Coffeyville. When I got there, I was a little early so I went to Sonic there and bought a cherry limeade slush. When I got back to the beauty shop Toni was soon there and she took me in and washed and did my hair. It looks so much better now.

Then I did go to the Coffeyville library and checked out two books to read this week. I will return them next Wednesday when I go over to get my hair done and also to play Bunco at the senior center.

Then I came home. I got home at 10:25AM.

Mike had not mowed. I believe it was too wet to do so. Maybe he will get to it this afternoon if it doesn't rain again. Or I will do it myself if it isn't too wet to mow. It's not hot here in Caney. It's only 74 degrees right now. I would like to get the remaining leaves mowed up if at all possible. I will see. In a little while I will go out to our Sonic and get their child's Wacky Pack for my lunch. That is only $2:18 here in Caney on Wednesdays now that they can't serve anything that has tap water in it or ice that has tap water in it either.. I save the child's toy in that for our Back to School party for the children at church.  It is only 10:34AM now and too early for lunch.

More Later...

I went out to Sonic for their Wacky Pack and all I could get was the chicken strips and french fries. Mr. G's is closed because of the boil order and Sonic is serving nothing with water in it either. Our water here in Caney is dangerous. It has some foreign chemical in it and they hope to have it fixed in 30 days. I got a letter about it last week.

Mike didn't come to mow today so I began doing myself. It's supposed to rain tonight. I got  the front done but it's 85 degrees now and I can't finish. Maybe I can get the back done this evening if it cools down and I can beat the rain. It's much a smaller yard. Right now I am exhausted and sweating like a stuck pig. I will drink some water and read in one of the library books I got in Coffeyville this morning.

I read for quite awhile and then decided to try to mow again. I did the front and the back and part of the west side.

Then I played out, emptied the bag and put away the mower. Maybe Mike can finish it. I can't. It's 85 degrees now and I am done for the day. I will go back to my book.

I read until my bedtime at 9:00PM. Then I went on to bed. I was very tired and  didn't have any problem getting right to sleep.
