I woke up, as usual... early...5:00AM and quietly went into the bathroom and made up my face and then dressed here in the den. I washed the bowls we had used for our snack while we watched Forrest Gump on TV last night and put out bowls for our oatmeal this morning. We had a great visit last evening. I took my bath and then pulled out the trundle and at bedtime, I went to bed and as usual and slept well there. It is 6:16AM now.
I haven't had the TV on yet for "the weather on the 8's". I may turn it on quietly without sound. They are still sleeping. According to yesterday's weather report, it is supposed to rain again today. What a mess.
Yesterday when I was ready to go to the market, my car would not start. It wouldn't even try and an icon appeared on the dash showing a battery. I turned off the ignition and tried again and it started. Then I went to the market. I will try again this morning and if it happens again, we will go over to Auto Zone in Coffeyville and get them to test it. If I need a battery, they will install it free of charge for the installation. Several years ago, I bought this last one from them.
More later..
I looked everywhere for my iron and ironing board for Esther but I could not find it. They must be in the attic. I know I had them here because I ironed jeans for Bob Avery after I moved here.
While Esther was eating her toast, Keith worked on my laptop computer and got everything fixed on it except to get the printer to share with the laptop.I can still print from the desktop so that's not an issue. He also ordered a new battery for it.IT should be here Tuesday.
It's 9:53AM now. Keith and Esther are dressing and I have a few moments to blog. Keith and I have had breakfast but Esther says she doesn't eat breakfast. She did eat a couple of pieces of toast though.
We went over to Coffeyville and had Auto Zone check my battery, I did need one. They put it in. The old battery was badly corroded. I was sure glad to find one and have it put in. Esther wanted to look around the shop where the Country Time Music Theater used to be. So we all did that.
Then we went out to El Pueblito for lunch. It was very good. Keith took us a long drive around Caney after that. We stopped at Mr.G's and had a butter pecan flurry. The kids ate their leftovers from El Pueblito for their supper and I didn't want supper after all that we ate and I took my bath at 7:30PM and while the kids watched a sci fi movie, I read in my book.
Everett Johnson called me this evening and wants to meet me Sunday afternoon possibly for lunch after he and Tricia, his daughter, decorate graves. He will call me when they get finished.
I will probably go to bed at 9:30PM or so.
