Tuesday and Very Little Water

I slept through the night last night and don't believe I was up even once in the night. I got up at my usual 5:00AM this morning, made my bed, dressed and got myself ready for the day. I have very little water this morning but I am lucky to have any at all. Stephen's son has none at all and he and his family live here in Caney too.

I don't have a plan for today yet. A lot depends on the weather.I didn't go to Bartlesville yesterday because there was a layer of ice on the roads. I spread some of the ice melt Stephen gave me on my walk and drive yesterday. That helped a lot.  Nevertheless I did not want to be out on the highways. So I read a lot yesterday and of course I took all my Christmas decorations down and boxed them up and labeled the boxes again. Jeromy, my grandson, will put them in the attic for me the next time he brings Cheyenne, my younger great granddaughter to basketball practice. In the meantime, the boxes are stacked in the garage along the east wall.

I will probably read again today. In a little bit, I will fix my breakfast and check the weather and the cats. It's 6:12AM now and they may be out there waiting for their breakfast too.

I checked the bank and there is still no deposit there from Esther. Strange...

More Later....

When I opened the door the second time, Scruff was there waiting for her breakfast,,,no sign of Blondie. I fed her and took some water out to her too. She ate and left. I knew it was 15 degrees out there and too cold for her to stay there any later.

I left the food out there and sure enough, 15 minutes later...Blondie came and ate too. He is finished now and went to try to find some shelter from the cold.

Then I caught the weather forecast.

Today will be 41 degrees and mostly sunny, tomorrow is to be 54 degrees and partly cloudy and windy, Thursday is to be 64 degrees and partly cloudy, Friday is to be 56 degrees and partly cloudy, Saturday is to be 56 degrees too and partly cloudy, Sunday is to be 60 degrees and partly cloudy, Monday is to be 60 degrees and showers. That's the week! We can certainly use the rain.

I'd better get that cat food back in the garage and close the door now.  More even later...

I went over to Coffeyville this morning to buy a print cartridge for my printer. Then I printed off the Class newsletter and took it to the printer in Bartlesville. Then I went to visit Nancy and took her to Brahms there where we had a small milkshake..Then the print shop called me to tell me they had my newsletter ready and I could pick it up. It cost me about $10.00 more then I was quoted but then it was longer then I told them it would be and by the time I finished it cost more. It was worth it. They did a good job. I took Nancy back to the assisted living and came on back home. I wanted to get those 52 letters folded and in envelopes and ready to go in the mail tomorrow. I will mail them in Coffeyville tomorrow after I get my hair done. That project will be finished for another year.

I still have very little water. I am not sure if I will have enough to bathe this evening. It takes two big pitchers of water to even flush the stool.

Oh Yes! Esther's deposit finally came through!

It's 5:53PM now. I haven't seen the cats again this evening. They will probably be by in the morning for breakfast. I will read until 7:00PM when I will try to get enough water to take my bath. I plan to go to bed at 9:00PM

Hi Margie, I read online yesterday that some banks were closed for the day after Christmas so that may be why your expected deposit didn't show in your bank account today.

Thanks for bringing that to my attention Suemn. I didn't know that. But this is two days after Christmas.
