Thursday and Apartment Cleaning

I slept well again last night and was up at 5:00M as usual. I made my bed and got myself ready for the day.  Soon I will make my breakfast and eat it here in the den while I am blogging. I will be so glad when I can have a laptop again. I like to eat my breakfast while I am waiting for "the weather on the 8's" to come on and from a TV tray in the living room. It's habit, I guess. Then I can open the front door and see if the cats are waiting for their breakfast.

Both cats came for their breakfast and I took it out to them and they ate fast and left.  Scruff came back twice before I was able to take the cat food back in to cover it.

Then the weather came on. Today is to be 62 degrees and partly cloudy, tomorrow is to be 68 degrees and partly cloudy, Saturday is to be 70 degrees and mostly sunny, Sunday is to be 72 degrees and  partly cloudy, Monday is to be 72 degrees and mostly cloudy, Tuesday is to be 75 degrees and partly cloudy, and Wednesday is to be 70 degrees and sunny. That's the week. Again no rain..

I saw in the Chronicle that Caney is thinking of not filling the city swimming pool because the Caney river is so low. That means the kids would have to swim in either Coffeyville's or Independence's pools if that happens.

Besides that, the city is raising the water rates over it.

I have been watching the CBS news and playing solitaire on my phone. I also mopped the bare floors and am getting ready to vacuum the apartment.  I hadn't seen Stephen and Dee Anna in some time and hoped they were alright, I texted Stephen and he texted me back that they were alright and had been here briefly a couple of times since Valentine Day but evidently I had missed seeing them.

I better start the vacuuming if I want to get everything done before the kids come tomorrow.

I am planning to make some Broccoli/Cheese soup for our dinner tomorrow too. I want to get some cheddar cheese to use with the crackers we will eat with it.

Aha! I had some in the frig that has not even been opened.

More Later...

I finally got the vacuuming finished and emptied the dust and have the vacuum sweeper on the charger now. I need to put the other filter in it but can't figure out how to get the dirty one out of it's case and the clean one in. I'll check with the instruction book and see if that will clear it up.

Sure enough, it was a lot simpler then I thought. The hardest thing about cleaning the apartment is carrying those heavy chairs back and forth under the dining table so I can run the sweeper on the rug under that table. I am not supposed to lift over 15 pounds.

Now I need to dust.

I put away the vacuum sweeper after it finished charging.

I had a salad for my lunch and then I made a pot of soup. I don't know whether the kids will want soup but I enjoy it myself. I will just play it by ear.

Leslie contacted me to say she had planned to cook Easter dinner and when I asked her what I could bring, she said bring the rolls. So I went to the market and bought rolls for the dinner and then left my cookie sheet out so I wouldn't forget them Sunday.

I have been reading another book. I put the other one in the library book drop. It turned out to be science fiction and that is one type of book I have never enjoyed. This one is more to my liking...at least so far. It is 2:35PM now.

I read until time for the CBS news and then watched that until 7:00PM when I took my bath and put my pajamas and robe on. I will read until I go to bed at 9:00PM. I have only two Melatonin left and that with the allergy pill will get me through the night. I will go out to Dollar General tomorrow and get some more Melatonin. I have a hard time sleeping without it. That and the allergy pill gets me through the night each night.

I want to strip my bed in the morning and do my towels and personal laundry too.
