Sunday and Online Church

I slept well last night and only woke up once. Then I got right back to sleep until 5:00AM, my regular time to get up. I have made my bed and dressed and an having my breakfast now. Soon I will go check the "weather on the 8's" and see what the weather will be like while they are here. and also check to see if any cats are out there for breakfast too.

Leslie and John have gone to South Dakota for his conference and I am not sure when they will be back They go every year but I have never kept track of their schedule.

My classmate, Betty Hanson, will  be coming tomorrow afternoon and her cousin may come too. They are going out to the cemetery to try to find the grave of one of her relatives.They will stay a day or two. I'm not sure how long. I will change my bed as usual tomorrow and I will sleep in on the daybed trundle while they are here.

It's6:10AM now and I will go check out the weather and get back to this later.

It appears we will have weather in the low to mid 90's all week. That's better then the 100's.

I watered my one plant (the threw the other one away. It looked very scraggly and try as I might, I couldn't get it to revive. Then I watered the flowerbeds too.They are holding up pretty well.  I got a plastic bag and went out back and picked up all the leaves from my south neighbor's tree and put them in the bag.  The front needs it too but I would have to rake them and there are tons of them from the tree from the neighbor to the north...across the street. That one is a lost cause....unfortunately.

Both Scruff and Blondie came for their breakfast and cleaned it all up! 

I sure hate to buy that wet cat food but they do like it. They might not come for the dry stuff I have used anymore.

Betty Hanson, my classmate, called me this afternoon and said she may not be coming on Monday after all. Her cousin is not vaccinated and won't wear a face mask either. She buys into all that nonsense she reads on facebook. Facebook needs to delete that nonsense.I have almost completely stopped going into facebook. They allow all kind of nonsense to be posted there and those who are ignorant believe anything they see printed. I told Janet at the senior center that I would not be coming to game days anymore if that woman comes who doesn't believe in being vaccinated and refuses to wear a face mask. Karan told me Janet has printed up a sign saying anyone not vaccinated has to wear a face mask to come into the senior center.

I put my contacts in just as I have for 45 years used the right one...the bifocal.. would not seat. I got out another one that I had saved and it would not seat either. Finally I tried a third one I had saved and it seated just fine. I don't know what the problem was. But it appears to be fine now. I have never had a any problems with my contacts so this was unusual.

I am waiting for the CBS Sunday morning news. Then at 11:00AM, I will watch "Beyond the Walls" our congregation out of Ontario Canada. They do such a professional job. The are watched all over the globe in every country we have congregations in. It isn't the same as in the church building here but as long as Montgomery County here in Kansas continues to have a lot new cases, we will have to watch online or with Zoom. I often watch our Springfield, Missouri service too in the evening at 6:00PM but it is a far cry from the Ontario, Canada one. But it is our Mission Center so I try to watch it on a fairly regular basis. When I do, I record 60 Minutes. I never like to miss 60 Minutes on TV. They do a great job of investigating reporting. It's 7:46AM now so I will go watch the CBS Sunday morning news when it comes on..

I have been working on the puzzle and it is very hard. I may not be able to finish it before my company comes tomorrow afternoon. When they come I will tear it up and put it away.

It's nearing time for Beyond the Walls so I will get back to this later...

I watched "Beyond the Walls" this morning at 11:00AM and then worked on the puzzle for a couple of hours and then read in the first of the new books I downloaded from Amazon on to myKindle this morning. 

Then my niece Diana called. She had tried to reach Denise, my other niece, but she didn't answer the telephone. She wondered if I had heard from her. I hadn't...but I had thought about asking her to meet me on Wednesday mornings at 7:00AM at Eggbert's over there at Coffeyville for breakfast like I used to do with her dad. I will call her on Tuesday morning and see if she would be interested.
